Loss
Paul Bearer has debuted the Funeral Parlor, and in a nice touch, he has no guest because everyone is afraid to come on the show!
shoe
Kinda funny.
PeteF3
Bearer demands a moment of silence, and this is all quite creepy now on a whole different level. Paul had runs, long ones, where he annoyed the living shit out of me, but he was always a pro regardless of the material he sometimes had to work with. He was really effective here, before he decided that speaking in a falsetto was the proper way to go.
Kevin Ridge
Funeral Parlor taking over for the loss of Brother Love Show. Bearer is struggling to find guests to come on his show. Got to get DiBiase to throw some money around.
soup23
Funeral Parlor has now replaced the Brother Love show as the premiere interview vehicle in the WWF. I always thought the set looked awesome for this with the green fog and the beginning show with everyone being afraid to come on was very unique and smart for WWF standards. RCS1988
They had untelevised segments of the Funeral Parlour at the 2/18/91 Superstars taping. I'm curious if any guests appeared, or if all the segments at that taping were like the 3/30/91 Superstars Funeral Parlour with just Bearer talking and no guests. garretta
I think this would have been more effective with Taker backing Percy up. It certainly would have made more sense for prospective guests to be afraid of facing Taker than afraid of a bunch of mist and some cardboard tombstones. There wasn't much to this, really. The broadcasters got off the best lines; I liked Savage's "Just what I need, something upbeat!" and Piper not recognizing it as sarcasm, as well as Savage wondering if Hogan was in one of the tombstones. Not yet, Randy, but wait a few months! I've said this in a few other threads, but I agree with Pete about Percy's falsetto. His voice was naturally high to begin with, but to use that extra-high tone all the time really emphasized the hokeyness of the Paul Bearer character, even as Taker was doing his level best to come off as 100% legit. I still don't see what this segment could possibly have over the return of Piper's Pit, but I'm willing to give it a chance to get rolling. dawho5
Good beginning for bearer's interview segment. I like that just the idea of the Undertaker is scary to most of the wrestlers.
