Loss
Talk about it here.
Loss
This was a good match. But the whole match seemed to be building to tempers flaring and a big brawl which never happened. I had a real disconnect with this, I think because there wasn't as much emotion as you would think. This is the best Brazos match so far, and it's the first time this year that they feel like they're trying to work a strong match instead of just have fun. But I was hoping for more. Childs
This was the most "serious" Brazos trio on the yearbook to date and featured a lot of excellent wrestling. But as Loss said, it didn't quite hit the climax you'd want. I'm actually not sure I'd rank it above some of their more comedic matches. They were fucking great at comedy. I'd surely rewatch that Popitekus match before this one.
PeteF3
Man, if you're an armdrag fetishist this is your dream match. All others, meh. There's kind of a weird dynamic throughout with the Guerreros constantly double- and triple-teaming and the Brazos objecting, leading to confusion over precisely whom the rudos are supposed to be. The closing stretch finally makes this worth watching, with a few good triple near-falls and Eddie performing an absolutely spectacular springboard dive that seemingly goes halfway into the floor seating. And I'll never stop loving the dive train build with Super Porky inevitably being the last one for the climactic big fat man dive. I thought the climax of this worked just fine even if it didn't descend into a brawl. It was the first two falls that failed to hold my attention. Chavo in particular has fallen off badly. Kevin Ridge
I prefer the Brazos doing their comedy thing. Very little happened in the first two falls. Start of the third fall the teams faced off and appeared we finally had some tension. But nothing came about it. Porky did manage to do a dive through the ropes to the outside and land on his feet. Zenjo
Never less than watchable. It was mostly low key and low intensity straight up wrestling. The closing moments were definitely the highlight as it ended on a positive note.
soup23
I really wanted this to be great and it just didn't quite make it. The Brazo's were more serious but the match overall didn't hold my attention at time. The third fall had the more traditional spots but did include a great dive train so kudos for that. Very good match but there was a great match in there fighting to get out and it just never did.
garretta
If you've ever wondered what a three-fall lucha exhibition match looks like, wonder no more. This only got out of first gear for the dive train at the very end and Porky's final pin of (I think) Mando. Other than that, this was no more strenuous than a day at the gym for either side. I've seen both units have better matches, and if both teams had been used to their best advantage, which would seem to be a nice mix of athleticism and comedy, we might have had something special. This wasn't that match, though. Maybe it'll happen sometime in the future, and if it does, I hope we have it on one of the Yearbooks. dawho5
Yeah, this seemed like a waste of the six wrestlers. They built to something that never happened. Very little comedy. Dive train was awesome and Porky landing on his feet after that dive was super impressive. Beyond that, not much to see here. I always love the energy Super Porky comes into the ring with when he does the footwork like he's some kind of kung fu guy though. Whatever it is about it I mark out every time I see it.
