Loss Posted July 26, 2013 Author Report Posted July 26, 2013 Lawler introduces a kid whose wish was to come to USWA wrestling and meet the wrestlers. He gets a USWA t-shirt and some WWF merchandise too. Classy moment.
goodhelmet Posted August 2, 2013 Report Posted August 2, 2013 I love including moments like these on the yearbooks. Lawler always comes across as a guy who genuinely enjoys his interaction with these kids. It is quite a jarring juxtaposition when you hear about his affinity for underage girls.
soup23 Posted August 5, 2013 Report Posted August 5, 2013 Yeah these are the moments in a yearbook that really push it over the top as my favorite wrestling sets. Tons of great matches together are awesome but can allow you to burn out. Little moments like this and the hotline commercials really give you a sense of watching this stuff now and make you feel a connection to the products you are watching. This was class stuff by Jerry and I like how he always gives the kids a say but doesnt put them in a spot to fail and makes them the star of the segment.
Kevin Ridge Posted August 10, 2013 Report Posted August 10, 2013 Great stuff. Kid seemed so happy just being out there and then gets some gifts too.
PeteF3 Posted June 16, 2015 Report Posted June 16, 2015 Fun little segment from the John Cena of his day.
KB8 Posted February 16, 2019 Report Posted February 16, 2019 The cynic in me initially thought this was going to be some kind of swerve, but pretty soon it became clear things were on the level and we got a classy little segment out of it. Nice stuff.
