Last few minutes. Funny to see a Rock Bottom happen with ZERO POP. Owen is carrying this, which is pretty obvious. I love that pinning combo. Owen is the new IC champ. Owen's victory lap with Bret in the wheelchair is glorious.

Rock hits his leaping DDT. Lawler is now supporting the Harts on commentary. It’s not a great match but I loved the moment watching it as Owen finally wins his first WWF singles title. And in a great touch gives it to Bret so they can do a victory lap in Bret’s wheelchair.

Man Rocky was still rough here 6 months in. His punches look bad, the transitions look bad, even the Rock Bottom was awkward. Owen wins the IC belt but the real treat is the celebration and how the boos escalated once Owen joined Bret/Davey up on the stage. Perfect heeling.

And that's the end of the Maivia babyface push, though it was arguably on life support before then when he did a non-title job to Savio Vega on that South Africa Raw. Owen finally gets a singles title in the WWF, and has a heart-warming celebration with the Harts at the top of the stage.

Owen dedicates the match to Bret. Ok for what it is. It's fairly slow in parts. Rocky hitting a Rock Bottom to no reaction & for a simple near fall is crazy to see. Owen gets a flash pin finish & celebrates with Bret in a great moment on the stage. Davey making Bret's wheelchair do wheelies is the highlight.
