Loss Posted September 15, 2013 Author Report Posted September 15, 2013 Hogan and Bischoff hype The Real Reason Men Commit Crimes for Sting, and Hogan is upset about it. I understand why they did, but promoting Sting filming a movie when he's been a depressed mute hanging out in rafters for over a year is a pretty bad kayfabe violation. Hogan is so upset that he wants Sting in the ring tonight! Quote
Kevin Ridge Posted September 30, 2013 Report Posted September 30, 2013 Sting is doing a movie called The Real Reason (Men Commit Crimes). I’m too busy looking at the female on the poster. Sting talking in a movie before he says a thing in WCW is bad business. Hogan does not like Sting showing up on his turf in Hollywood. Quote
soup23 Posted June 25, 2014 Report Posted June 25, 2014 I hated this. One of the biggest gaffes in WCW this year actually. They had done everything with Sting pretty note perfect so far (JJ incompetence aside). Him starring in a chick flick looks ridiculous and really breaks down the kayfabe barriers. Quote
El-P Posted September 19, 2014 Report Posted September 19, 2014 Man. WCW's booking on top was litteraly falling apart. This served no purpose and looked like a kayfabe-killer shilling segment. Quote
PeteF3 Posted March 8, 2016 Report Posted March 8, 2016 This was...not a direction this feud needed to go in. Quote
JKWebb Posted January 6, 2021 Report Posted January 6, 2021 I agree this was odd based on the current Sting character. As Chad noted, probably the most out of place segment they have had in this build. I'm guessing they were asked in some way to promote the film and this is what they came up with...That would be a good podcast question for EB (if he hasn't covered it already)... Quote
