Loss
Talk about it here.
Loss
This week, Goldust is in a wheelchair but is sporting a similar look to last week. Michael Cole wants to talk to Goldust and ask what type of weapon he used to hit Vader last week. He says he's paraplegic, then changes to quadriplegic and this crowd sucks. Then again, the WWF at this stage was pretty bad after such a strong year. This gets really weird when he gets turned on by the rubbing alcohol being put on his back by his nurse. Vader is out to hopefully save this segment and tells Goldust he better get out of the chair. He goes to attack Goldust, then the nurse attacks Vader by pouring rubbing alcohol in his eyes. Ouch! It's Luna!
Strummer
Then again, the WWF at this stage was pretty bad after such a strong year. this is when the "WWF is going to die" talk started up again on the net. People were *pissed* about Bret. People forget that because they turned it around pretty quickly in early 98 but this was a somber time to say the least
ajtroma
I never believed the WWF would die but I do remember seeing the "they've hit the bottom of the barrel" line popping up every week.
Kevin Ridge
But they had such a good run during the year and momentum was gaining. The ratings weren't there yet but you did feel things were changing. Survivor Series as a whole wasn't a very good PPV and losing Bret was huge. But Austin continues his rise and they are starting to move things with Rock. They were now going to have push more guys from the midcard up like Triple H. Vader ain't do much now though. He beat Taker in January has his push has really gone away. Luna debuts with Goldust which will lead to more bizarre stuff.
soup23
Another weird Goldust segment and this is pretty bad stuff that I can't get behind really. Vader comes out to get in his face and gets some alcohol in his eyes as his result and an attack from angel Luna.
PeteF3
"The question that is on everybody's mind: WHAT did you hit. Vader. With?" Yeah, THAT'S the burning issue here, Cole. This is an awkward segment on all levels--a rare bad interview from Dustin, the censor censoring "off" instead of "pissed," Cole's dumb line of questioning, Luna's awkward attack, and Luna's promo where she screams incoherently into a microphone. Exposer
I loved this. Goldust is pushed down the aisle in a wheelchair with a nurse & claims he's a paraplegic. He then claims he's a quadraplegic. This is hilarious. He ends up asking Michael Cole to cross his legs & remove his blanket. He gets turned on by his nurse using rubbing alcohol on his shoulders. Bizarre. Vader comes out & confronts him & wants to fight him. He attacks him, but the nurse pours rubbing alcohol in his eyes! It's Luna! This is weird, but I loved this angle. It felt old school with a mix of absurd Attitude Era booking.
