This is a good promo from Austin focused directly at Tyson and still challenging him to a fight. I do want to commend WWF for doing the King promo so early in the Mania build and not dragging it out that Tyson and Austin were going to have a match. Austin is so good at conjuring up hatred towards any opponent.

Austin was so on fire here - startling how over he was.

Austin cuts a scorching promo on Mike Tyson. Normally I'd criticize this for reducing the Austin-Michaels title match, but this is an exception - the rare case of the main event not really being an afterthought, but needing to be secondary to the Austin-Tyson issue.

And even so, it's still an improvement over the mess that was the build to the WM13 main event. Getting the Tyson/Austin program over is the priority--there's still 6 weeks until WrestleMania and there'll be time enough for Austin/HBK heat, since at least that match is set in stone (barring the possibility that HBK would be forced into retirement or try to use it to get out of doing a job, which had to be strong in the coming weeks).

Austin cuts a helluva promo on Tyson. He's clearly the best on the mic at this point in WWE. Austin, Flair and Jericho are Best on the mic so far this year.

Awesome promo. This is one of Austin's best. He talks some amazing trash about Tyson & challenges him to meet him at No Way Out in Texas. Great way to close the show.
