Loss
Talk about it here.
soup23
This match being a Nitro main event seems like a waste especially considering they main event a PPV a mere two months from now. Savage is pounding away on Sting on the outside. Savage hits a great piledriver that Sting no sells. Stinger splash is hit on but the second one misses and Sting hits his forhead on the exposed turnbuckle. Savage hits the elbow drop and Tony calls it the biggest upset ever. Hogan rushes in to stop the three count. Hogan slaps Savage and Luger runs out and grabs Savage and beats him up on the outside. Hogan just stands there but then has to deal with Sting. Sting fends off NWO B-crew and Hogan is able to bail. Sting has been made to look like a complete goof since Starrcade.
Zenjo
Worth including just for the Schiavone upset line. Okay so it wouldn't have been much of an upset, and it didn't actually happen. But apart from that... Making Sting look weak like that was bad booking.
Migs
They are just destroying Sting, week by week.
Loss
Haha, Tony, I don't think it's SAVAGE that has taken a ton of steam out of Sting in a short period of time. This is okay while it's going on and yes, they were killing Sting at this point, but Sting isn't as motivated to make the most of his career peak either. Hogan and Savage are positioned above Sting, and then Hogan is positioned above Savage who is having to deal with the washed-up Lex Luger. Notice Nash doesn't enter the ring to take any bumps for Sting. The stupid politics are dripping off the screen here.
PeteF3
All the bullshit aside that everyone's mentioned, this still ends up being a decent segment with Hogan being at his most insecure and petty (in-character), not wanting Savage to be the first one to beat Sting. TravJ1979
Was Hogan nursing an injury, because he moves as slow as molasses here breaking up the pin? Sting looks deflated here and like a total goof. It all makes sense though.
Kronos
I can't believe they would endanger Sting to drop him from the ceiling of a football stadium, for weekly TV. It's just so WCW. It would have been cooler to have someone in the rafters dressed as Sting. Then when everyone is looking up, bring him out from under the ring, Taker style. You can even flash the lights. It would have taken less time, been a lot safer, and probably popped the crowd more.
