Clip of Savage in black and white winning a man of the year trophy. Weird that this had the NWO music to it as it feels dated given recent developments.

Agreed that the NWO music does make this feel dated since Savage is being pushed as his own man. Pretty cool honor and cool effects here. I appreciate that Savage made efforts to stay contemporary and still worked hard even as he got older.

Interesting piece. I mostly remember this as the reason I, in the height of my smarky days, began writing a Savage bio, on notebook paper, filled with crap from Apter mags and second rate newsletters I was getting at the time. How embarrassing.
