Loss
Talk about it here.
Loss
Power Pro is outdoors today. Giant Silva is in the ring as the new king while Hales talks about how glad he is Lawler is gone. Lawler, however, is returning through the crowd. Lawler finally gets in the ring and punches Hales, but Giant Silva chokes him out. I'm not digging this blatant copying of Austin-McMahon too much, but that's more of a personal taste thing than it is something I'd call bad. Hales ends up bumping around for Stacy. This was fun. Lawler vs Silva is set for the next MSC show.
soup23
Lawler vs. Silva??? ugh, don't know what that drew. I did like the Fourth of July outside setting they had going on for this show as it felt like going down to your local parade and catching some wrestling before you went home to grill before the fireworks. Dave Brown's shirt was in my dad's collection.
Migs
So Lawler is going to wrestle a giant? What a stunning turn of events.
PeteF3
Crowd likes this and I dug the atmosphere, but this was a pretty bad segment. Lawler retired the previous week and now he's back and all butt-hurt that Hales has crowned a new Giant King. Well, gosh, Jerry, you sort of brought that on yourself, didn't you? After a possible interesting change of direction the previous week, we're right back where we were with a low-rent Austin vs. McMahon feud. The subsequent brawl is heated but the only person who really knows what they're doing out of 4 people is Lawler. For an unstoppable monster, Silva backs down awfully easily. TravJ1979
Bad segment in a bad location with a totally useless Paul Silva. I've not liked anything I've seen from Power Pro aside from Lawler v. Kane.
ajtroma
I liked the local wrestling show being at the local 4th of July Celebration. It looked there was a nice breeze coming off the river, go see Kool and the Gang afterwards, then the fireworks. That sounds like a fun day out. However, you should have seen the Giant King Silva 3-on-1 Handicap squash match. Horrible is a mild way to describe it. The chokeslams our huge new Brazilian King gave truly were abysmal. Have to be seen to believed.
