Chris Jericho's new third book

Jericho made a rather astute point while promoting the book. He said that he and Vince are very alike personality wise which is probably why they clashed so much over the years. Excellent point and something I've never thought of before

Apparently this story is in the book:

In the book, Jericho claims that while on a plane Vince McMahon made a snide remark to Kofi Kingston saying, "Maybe one day you'll get over," a comment which visibly disturbed Kingston.

As Jericho and Kingston exited the plane, Jericho told Kofi that he had to go back and challenge him to a fight. At first Kingston seemed to think it was a rib, but Jericho knowing McMahon's personality was totally serious about the situation.

Kingston took Jericho's advice and got back on the plane and asked Vince McMahon if he had a problem with him. The two traded verbal barbs back and forth until Vince McMahon shot in for a double leg takedown out of nowhere and he and Kingston subsequently wrestled around. McMahon has been known to test his amateur wrestling against the likes of Kurt Angle, also repeatedly attempting to take him down on a flight. McMahon finally got up and laughed the situation off, with McMahon liking that Kingston stood up for himself.

That'd be a better story if it led to Kofi actually getting over.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if that's the reason Kofi hasn't been cut when other guys at his level have been. Also, it's possible that happened around the time he feuded with Orton (which did get over at the time, but was dropped quickly for some reason).

Got the book from the library and just started reading. I read and enjoyed the first one back in 2008.

That wasn't because Kofi botched a finish and caused Orton to break character by calling him "STUPID" in the ring?

I love how that happened and the consequence is (allegedly) that Kofi gets dropped, and not the guy who was being unprofessional as fuck in the ring. But there you go.

About a third of the way through. (When I read it, I breeze through parts, but have taken long breaks from it.)

 

The hotel conference room story was great.
