shoe Posted February 12, 2015 Report Posted February 12, 2015 This is tonight. The card seems a little bloated where matches I want to see get time might not get it.
The Chief Posted February 12, 2015 Report Posted February 12, 2015 Am I the only one who likes Bull Dempsey? I don't get all the hate. Hoping they let him brawl, NXT has yet to see a chaotic brawl.
Phil Schneider Posted February 12, 2015 Report Posted February 12, 2015 Going to do a Live Blog over at Segunda Caida http://segundacaida.blogspot.com/2015/02/nxt-take-over-live-blog.html
shoe Posted February 12, 2015 Author Report Posted February 12, 2015 I thought this was good. I liked Breeze bringing some story telling to the match. Breeze did a good job eating Itami's kicks.
shoe Posted February 12, 2015 Author Report Posted February 12, 2015 Dempsey is much better than Corbin. That blown spot was ugly. Dempsey is Black Bart to Corbin's Dan Spivey.
conker8 Posted February 12, 2015 Report Posted February 12, 2015 I like the match until the finish. Itami "Hulks Up" (or Fighting Spirit's) and no selling the leg was bad.
hammerva Posted February 12, 2015 Report Posted February 12, 2015 Maybe this is too old school of a thinking but the idea of a heel having woman coming out of the crowd doesn't seem right. I guess it worked for Rick Rude Funny how the crowd actually booed Corbin getting the win before they got to see the chair shot. As far as DQ matches it was pretty dull but didn't expect more in terms of brawling
shoe Posted February 12, 2015 Author Report Posted February 12, 2015 I like the match until the finish. Itami "Hulks Up" (or Fighting Spirit's) and no selling the leg was bad. No sell is a bit strong. He sold it after the kicks.
PeteF3 Posted February 12, 2015 Report Posted February 12, 2015 Maybe this is too old school of a thinking but the idea of a heel having woman coming out of the crowd doesn't seem right. I guess it worked for Rick Rude I actually liked how Breeze blew her off. Fits his narcissistic character.
shoe Posted February 12, 2015 Author Report Posted February 12, 2015 The blown spots early just threw this match off the rails.
Zoo Enthusiast Posted February 12, 2015 Report Posted February 12, 2015 That tag match was awful. Agree on the Dempsey love. I like him a lot. Same for Breeze. He was pretty good in that match.
shoe Posted February 12, 2015 Author Report Posted February 12, 2015 Balor's allergies look like they're killing him.
hammerva Posted February 12, 2015 Report Posted February 12, 2015 Yeah that was a real spot fest and unfortunately when you miss a spot or botch a move it completely falls apart. Didn't really do anything that make me interested in Blake and Murphy. Hopefully against a traditional team they can work better
shoe Posted February 12, 2015 Author Report Posted February 12, 2015 I enjoyed their 5 minute match where they won the titles. I was hoping I could get a feel for them as a team tonight. I didn't.
hammerva Posted February 12, 2015 Report Posted February 12, 2015 Cool to see that Solomon Crowe is finally debuting next week
Shining Wiz Posted February 12, 2015 Report Posted February 12, 2015 Balor/Neville is the best match I've watched today so far....
Shining Wiz Posted February 12, 2015 Report Posted February 12, 2015 Yup.....best match I've seen today. That was damned good. If they wanted, WWE could be so consistently good, and easily be the best promotion in the world. At least we get nxt.
Timbo Slice Posted February 12, 2015 Report Posted February 12, 2015 They went overboard down the stretch at points but the finish was white hot.
shoe Posted February 12, 2015 Author Report Posted February 12, 2015 I can see people loving that match. It had it's moments. Balor has big time charisma to him. I just felt it lacked transitions.
Zoo Enthusiast Posted February 12, 2015 Report Posted February 12, 2015 It was a fun match, for sure, nothing incredible. I'd guess Dave pegs it at 4 1/2, though.
Johnny Sorrow Posted February 12, 2015 Report Posted February 12, 2015 I lost internet connection in the house and missed that match.
pol Posted February 12, 2015 Report Posted February 12, 2015 The rear chinlocks at the start were killing me. I can totally dig a slow start, but good god do something interesting with it. After they got that out of their system, well, you can hardly call it boring, but it was a total my turn/your turn stretch and the nearfalls got silly. Like I said, very indie. Great finish though.
