Fantastic effort all around.

The top five lists was interesting and a good way for each host to bring their own wrestling viewpoint without it becomming confrontational. Savage I think would have helped benefit WWF more than he would have hindered WCW if he hadn't left. Putting house show business aside, the Flair feud in 96 has been disappointing for me on rewatch. I think the Savage vs. DDP feud is still great but I'm not sure if DDP couldn't have also gotten over if someone else higher up like Nash/Hall(if sober) would have been in the same role. Match quality could dip a bit but I feel lower on that series in-ring than most. Savage in 99 is awful and should have been retired for sure. It is understated just because how much BAD there is in WCW at the time but I think it is right up there with Hogan vs. Dungeon of Doom for wrestlecrap.

Good deep dive on Tenta, he has become quite the favorite of a lot of the PWO/PTBN contingent.

Instead of the swear job we may have to institute a "Will references Memphis" jar.

Interesting concepts, great debut.

Justin, I got the impression you felt very defensive about the sharks circling here as you ran through Michaels and Angle as his favourites ;)

To be honest, I'm in the same boat. I started reading here at the beginning of 2013 and was taken aback by the hostility towards both. Like Justin, I can see the pov but still really enjoy their work.

Well, what initially brought me around to posting here (rather than just lurking) was the feeling & impression that people are more accepting to different views & opinions on wrestlers that way. I'd hate to see any fellow posters discouraged to voice their views or speak their piece - simply because it's different from the majority.

A pro wrestling card, without variety, gets to be super boring & stale fairly fast. I'd say the same about message boards. I've been a part of plenty, and the ones I abandon the quickest are those that make you feel like you can't veer too far out of their realm of "acceptable" opinions.

It's pointless to not be open-minded about things, 'cause even the "smartest" and most critical of fans have changed their thoughts & ideas on things over the years. Nobody just saw their first wrestling show at five years old & thought, "Wow. This guy's a hoss, and I especially love the attention to detail with his facials & selling of the limb work." It's a learned appreciation, and different tastes will hold appeal with different folks.

I'll close out my little rant with saying that these are the things I dig about the reaction shows, especially the last one. The ball-busting between Will & Pete (and, as always, Will & Johnny) makes for fun-spirited & lively discussion. It's all so boring if everyone's just all, "Yeah. Agreed."

Is this under a different feed than the regular PWO-PTBN podcasts? It's not popping up for me in my PWO-PTBN feed on Downcast.

Yeah it is under the Place to Be Podcast feed.

Am I the only one who finds having two feeds confusing?

It would either be this or not near enough content as one feed wouldn't have the storage.

This was pretty good and the time keeping kept both of you guys in check. My main criticism of these type of wrestling podcasts, which I have mentioned once or twice before on this board, is that often there's a lot of rambling. Sometimes that rambling is good and sometimes it's not (this is not a comment to you specifically Will, as you tend to actively control yourself and your co-hosts very well). Here it helped in keeping things moving.

My favourite part, by far, was the rebooking of Savage. I hope that it becomes a challenge on every episode.

I have seen the mailbag thread but do you take rebooking requests? In case that you do, here's mine... if you think it's cool use it, otherwise it's no big deal.

Book the world title picture (and if you wish, one or two supporting act feuds) of WWF 1984, 1985 and up to Wrestlemania III, but you can't use Hogan. Somebody still beats the Iron Sheik at MSG in January, Mr. T still main events WM 1 and you still have to do WM 3 vs. Andre.

You can turn anybody from the heel side to be your lead babyface at any point, and you can turn any faces to be a heel during this period. You can hire anybody that you want on the face side, but you can't hire new heels. Other than that, it's an open world : if you want to use the Von Erich boys, Flair or Brody as your main face then so be it. Snuka and the Von Erichs are drug free good boys. Brody agrees to do jobs on demand. Orndorff does not fuck up his arm. Whatever, it's your parallel universe, but it's one where Hogan does not even exist.

Finally got around to listening to this one. Enjoyed it immensely, guys.

Really digging the separate "Falls" format. It's cool that you got creative enough to customize the show without having to go too far off course or anything. The restraints you put in place helps keep things on track & steered on topic, too.

Good stuff. Looking forward to more episodes, for sure.
