goc
Joe Blanchard WILL declare war upon Don Owens. We will end the pipeline of San Antonio to Portland and that will starve Vancouver as a consequence. It can't be me though. No one left on my home roster I particularly care about. Except my jobber/referee combo don't you DARE.
Dylan Waco
Didn't pick that guy goc, but I may very well take him if he some how falls until my next pick. I wanted Rufus all along and have been sitting there staring at him on the board waiting for someone to pick him. I wanted to take him with my last two or three picks but I was legitimately trying to see if his home promotion wanted to take a stab at him. That didn't happen, so I am happy to bring him in. In terms of star power, and being a guy who could always get over anywhere, there really aren't many people on the board better. He has a rep of being an awful worker, but I actually enjoy his act god help me. I'm glad I got him especially this late, though I hated lapping someone. I honestly wouldn't have done it, but there is no way in hell I'll be up by nine and I don't want to be lapped myself.
Boon
Just a quick question, Southeastern looks like they mostly ran 6 match cards, how long would the shows run for? 2 hours or so?
goc
I tried to tell dedhemingway that Rufus was way more important to Central States than the Dewey Robertsons or even the Buzz Tylers of the world. Also, my message to everyone: tighten up and give someone a few names to make your next pick if you aren't going to make the 5 hour time limit. You are not smarter than the crowd and you don't have some name in your back pocket that none of the other 18 people in this draft haven't thought of. I have about 32 hours until I'm on a plane, so I'll be dropping my list with goc, as I don't know if I'll have access to the board for 2 weeks... Grimmas
I have about 4 guys on my list that NOBODY wants and I will pick them in the last round. They don't have much value outside of jobbing in Toronto.
goc
Ok this name is obscure enough that no one should get upset: What is up with Randy Rich? I found one youtube video of him and they are playing him up as a cousin of Tommy Rich from Marietta, GA (which I strongly suspect is bullshit but he DOES look way more like Tommy than Johnny Rich does) but there is no way he is really related and he's so obscure that he is not even on WrestlingData or Cagematch At this point if I inspire someone to use an obscure name then good. Maybe Boon will be inspired to add to The Rich family in Southeastern.
Boon
If he looks like Rich, he's a Rich and on my list...
goc
Haha you going to send me an amended list or should I just keep him in mind?

More so if you already have guys you are working with in either running your territory or sharing talent. Long delays in making the pick during your window may cause others to miss theirs later as well with the shorter time window.
goc
Trying to find anything to add to my list and now watching random youtube videos of Vancouver wrestling. Al Tomko is fucking inescapable, he just "drops by" on commentary on all the matches I've watched so far. And he is a terrible speaker. I now understand all the Al Tomko hate I have read over the years. Vancouver is also it's very own special brand of wrestling it would seem. goc
How does the "passed 5 times" thing work? I was thinking it was supposed to be to keep a guy from getting lapped really badly in less than 10 hours, but even the 10 hour time limit expired at this point. Beast
Doesn't matter at this point because we're still just going through that initial 5. But yeah, he's probably just going to have to pick when he gets back, no matter who's picked in his absence. Not sure if RocketCrypt understands he can pick right now though. goc
Joe Blanchard has forbidden all Southwest Championship Wrestling employees from engaging in intense PM negotiations while on the clock and thus I promise not to do so, or to even read anything you send me while I'm on the clock. goc
Will take proxy picks for anyone bored waiting in line during this "super Speed Saturday" we have going on here.
goc
KrisZ question: What promotion(s) regularly had 2 hour wrestling shows? I know there was at least one I read about and can't remember now but surely there was another with a small roster who didn't do regular 3 hour shows with an intermission.
KrisZ
There were lots of shows that didn't go over 2 hours.....we are all booking shows now anyway so with house shows it should be up to you on what you want to do.
goc
I am just trying to get an idea of the least amount of matches I can have on a card and get away with it honestly. 6 sounds right. 5 seems like pushing it.
KrisZ
I wouldn't go less than 5 unless you are doing double shots
goc
I have absolutely no plans to do a double shot right now haha
Grimmas
I pan most house shows to be about 2-3 hours major shows longer. TV will be an hour.
KrisZ
I have 3 hours of TV for TBS and then I'm revamping my local TV for the shows in Macon & Columbus so I'm doing about 5 hours of TV a week
goc
I am sticking to my 1 hour TV show (which may wind up being really long when I write it down) and then just having match lineups for all of my loop except for San Antonio where I'll do a recap of the results and anything important. JHawk
My plan is an hour of TV (occasionally the station will allow 90 minutes) with a major show every 2-3 months. House shows will be infrequent (probably one per week).
