KrisZ
If you want to talk about my personal favorites in wrestling.....Budro is near the top of my list...an amazing performer who could do it all. If he didn't have personal problems throughout the years he would've been one of the all-time legends in the business.....Of all the great promos that Budro ever cut this is the one that stands on top of the mountain. RIP Budro......I hope you are bumping and selling for Big Dust in the sky right now
goc
This is a real shock. Buddy looked good at the Jim Cornette roast which was the last thing I saw him in. Buddy was an amazing talent, he was gold any time you put a mic in his hand whether it was when he was at his best in the Mid-South, JCP, Memphis 80s days or even into the "Buddy as a wanderer" days of USA Championship, 5 Star Wrestling & Global. JerryvonKramer
This is a bit of a surprise, he sounded really good on Cabana's podcast a while back, he was hilarious too.
PhilTLL
Among many talents, I always thought Buddy was a preeminent squash wrestler. Pure dissection work crossed with world-class trash talking and preening.
goc
Among many talents, I always thought Buddy was a preeminent squash wrestler. Pure dissection work crossed with world-class trash talking and preening. This is true too. He was just SO FAR ahead of everyone else in his way way too short run in GWF. His promos and squash matches were the highlight of every early Global show he was on. Just him messing around with the referee or talking trash, he barely had to do anything in his matches in GWF and he would just come off as way more of a star than the rest of the roster. Happ Hazzard
What a horrible few weeks for wrestler deaths. Buddy was always one of my favourites, should have gone far further than he actually did. RIP Buddy.
UKWildcat
This is a bit of a surprise, he sounded really good on Cabana's podcast a while back, he was hilarious too. To be fair, it sounds like it may be complications from a car wreck, and not drug/alcohol related.
victory
Man this is getting crazy lately with all the wrestling deaths. Buddy was one of those guys I didn't appreciate how good he was until about 10 years ago. RIP
Parties
As bad as the last two months have been for deaths, I have to imagine it's been a particular heavy string for Cornette himself. Ron Wright, Tommy Rogers, Dusty, and Landell, all within eight weeks.
El-P
Yeah, poor Corny, that must be hard on him.

grapplin' apple
Any time I saw Buddy Landell in any territory, he brought a spark to it. The corkscrew elbow was an awesome move, and way ahead of its time. I just bought a set of USA Wrestling from Knoxville yesterday, and seeing that Buddy was on it convinced me to finally purchase it. RIP.
