Yeah I am going to cut back on TV myself......promo writing is way too tough right now

We start the show this week with Mr. Wrestling joining Gordon Solie and they talk about how the Gentleman's Club is banned from the studio today due to their actions from previous weeks and Solie says that they are still in the building though but in another studio and there is where we get a camera shown on said studio with the Gentleman's Club (minus Greg Gagne) sitting in chairs watching the monitor with Holliday gleaming over the return of Mike George who cost Paul Orndorff the NWA World Heavyweight Title. Holliday then tells Solie that this will be the worst TV show ever now that his boys won't be working on the show. Solie asks Holliday where Greg Gagne is and Holliday said that Greg was having some travel issues but he was on the way.

MATCH #1

The Shadow Riders ("Hangman" Bobby Jaggers & Johnny Mantell) vs. Sam Houston & Rick McCord

The Riders destroy the jobbers as Jaggers finishes off Houston with the Hangman hold in 4:56

Next we get Freddie Miller going over all the major NWA events of the previous week.

We come back from break with Solie joined by "Diamond" Timothy Flowers and his manservant Pablo where he talks about he wants better competition and admits that he is glad that he is working Roberto Soto today on TV because he loves hot blooded Latin men because they like it rough.

MATCH #2

"Diamond" Timothy Flowers vs. Roberto Soto

Flowers gets a good match from Soto but he wins in the end using a figure-four leglock in 8:01. Flowers then goes back to Solie afterwards and asks where is the competition.....he wants a real man to show up to give him what he needs.

After the match, we go to the remote studio where the Gentleman's Club are watching and Buzz Sawyer says that Jake Roberts is barely escaping with his National Heavyweight Title every time they face each other but all he needs is 3 seconds....just 3 seconds and that title will be around his waist and Jake better be on guard at all times.

MATCH #3

"King Kong" Angelo Mosca vs. Ron Ritchie

Mosca gets the win with the Canadian Backbreaker in 7:23 then goes over to Solie and sends a message to the Gentleman's Club saying that on 10/3 at The Omni when he along with Jake & Adrian Adonis face off with Sawyer, Super D, & Gagne in the Barbed Wire Steel Cage that careers may come to an end and he isn't going to be responsible for his actions.

Next we get Freddie Miller who goes over all the GCW events of the previous week.

MATCH #4

Brad Armstrong & George Weingroff vs. The Southern Studs (Chick Donovan & Tommy Wright)

Before the match, Brad said that he thinks that Weingroff may be the partner he needs to take out the Studs and Weingroff said that when he was friends with Greg Gagne they had success against the Studs and he has the secrets to beat them. Armstrong & Weingroff take it to the Studs before it turns into a 4-way brawl where a man dressed in all black runs out wearing a black mask and he KO's Weingroff with a black glove before running off. Wright then covers Weingroff to win the match in 9:46. Solie says that he fully believed that was Greg Gagne under the mask and then when they go to the studio where the GC is, Gagne has just joined them saying that traffic was tough this morning on I-75 as there was a bad wreck. Solie asks Gagne if he just knocked out Weingroff with a black glove and Greg firmly denied it saying that it would've been impossible for him to do that and be here at the same time.

MATCH #5

"Adorable" Adrian Adonis vs. Ted Oates

Good match with Ted giving Adonis some fits but Adonis would catch him with Goodnight Irene in 10:57. Adonis goes over to Solie after the match and asks that the Gentleman's Club monitor come up and he sends them a message saying that he won't rest until he grinds their faces into the barbed wire and steel at The Omni on 10/3 and tells Super D directly that he is coming for his mask to show everyone how ugly he really is.

MATCH #6

Jake "The Snake" Roberts vs. Jerry Bryant

Jake just nukes Bryant with a DDT in 3:02 then goes over to Solie and he says that he is tired of talking and tells the cameras to follow him.....Jake then goes down the hallway and enters the Gentleman's Club studio where he tries to fight everyone himself before he is joined by Adonis & Mosca but it's still 5-on-3 before Paul Orndorff ran in there going after Mike George and the brawl spilled into the hallway back into the main studio where they brawled all around ringside with Mr. Wrestling yelling to break it up before he got clocked by Rip Oliver who gave Mr. Wrestling a piledriver which angered Jim Holliday who called his boys to leave the ring because he knew they were in deep trouble.

MATCH #7

"Hacksaw" Butch Reed vs. Les Thornton

Reed is getting ready to finish off Thornton with the diving shoulderblock off the top rope when the Shadow Riders run out for the DQ in 12:13. The Riders double up on Reed until Koko Ware ran out to even the odds and sent the Riders packing.

Before the show ends, Mr. Wrestling comes out with his neck in a neckbrace and he tells Solie that he will now take business into his own hands as he announces that Rip Oliver has been suspended indefinitely and that he has made a match for The Omni on 10/3 between himself and Gentleman Jim Holliday where the loser leaves town. The show then fades to black.

Mr. Wrestling getting involved can't be good for the GC. Gagne's interference is going to lead to some kind of response from Weingroff & Armstrong.

Lots of good stuff. The barbed wire cage match has been built up beautifully. Lots of solid hands coming together for a strong faction angle.

 

And the Rip Oliver piledriver is the icing on the cake. Classic moment.
