This week's episode of Georgia Championship Wrestling kicks off with Gordon Solie joined by Mr. Wrestling where they talk about the big 6-man tag match coming up later today with the Gentleman's Club facing off against Adrian Adonis, Angelo Mosca, & Jake Roberts where if the GC wins then Jim Holliday can pick the opponent for Jake at the NWA 35th Anniversary Show on 9/4 at The Omni live on WTBS. This brings out Holliday who does his roll call with the GC coming in tow and Holliday said that this is going to be a great day today because there are a lot of stupid people in the world especially in the studio and he isn't just talking about the fans but the wrestlers and everyone else in GCW. Holliday said that Jake Roberts' days are numbered and he reminds him that he has no friends only enemies.

After the GC walks off, Solie also reminds us that Greg Gagne will meet George Weingroff today in a match that Weingroff says is for Gagne's respect and he also announces that after winning the tournament last week that Butch Reed & Koko Ware will face The Shadow Riders for the National Tag Titles on 9/4 at The Omni on the NWA 35th Anniversary Show.

MATCH #1

Scott McGhee vs. Rick McCord

Good little scientific match which serves as a spotlight match for McGhee who uses a German Suplex hold to win in 7:33. McGhee then goes over to Solie afterwards and he says that there is a guy who is running around here trying to make a name for himself embarassing people named Timothy Flowers. McGhee said that Flowers thinks he is a real man and only associates with real men well he said that he is standing right here and if Flowers wants a piece of him then he can come get it. Flowers and his manservant Pablo come out and Flowers tells him that it won't be that easy for McGhee because he handles business when he feels like it and he said that he had a rough night last night as he and Pablo had fun with their friends at Piedmont Park so he was taking the day off but if McGhee would wait one week then he would grant his wish. McGhee said sure he would wait and then when he turned his back he got jumped by Flowers who put him in a figure-four leglock on the floor until Ron Ritchie & Jerry Bryant made the save.

Freddie Miller then runs down all the major NWA events from the previous week before going to break.

Brad Armstrong & "Pistol" Pez Whatley come out next and they talk about hopefully getting National Tag Titles shots down the road when Solie asks Brad about the football jersey he was wearing and Brad tells him that it was a gift from the Harrison High School football team from Marietta and that he told them that he would gladly wear it on TV to show his support and appreciation.

MATCH #2

Brad Armstrong & "Pistol" Pez Whatley vs. Jerry Bryant & Ron Ritchie

Good back and forth match before The Southern Studs (Chick Donovan & Tommy Wright) show up and they join Solie at ringside saying that Brad & Pez are no way better than they are and that the Studs deserve a title shot well before they do. Chick then notices Brad's football jersey and grabs it saying that this is a cheaply made jersey that Brad should be ashamed of wearing so he tells Tommy to give him his scissors and then Chick starts cutting up the jersey right as Brad hits a Russian Legsweep on Bryant to win in 9:11. Brad finally sees what is going on and he & Pez run after the Studs who escape before Brad comes back out picking up what was left of his jersey and he said that the Studs have made a huge mistake and he won't stop until he does some cutting of his own....which is their hair.

MATCH #3

The Nightmares (Danny Davis & Ken Wayne) vs. Jerry & Ted Oates

This is a really good match that ends up going to a 15:00 draw. The Nightmares though aren't happy with that finish and jump the Oates' as they tried to leave the ring. They bloody up Jerry then they give Ted their tombstone piledriver/diving legdrop combo before the other faces run them off. Solie then asks the Nightmares why did they feel like they needed to do that and Davis tells Solie that they are tired of being pushovers around here and that they had to make a statement today to all of the tag teams in GCW. Mr. Wrestling them comes out and he tells them that they made a statement alright and that next week they will face the Oates brothers again and if the Nightmares lose the match they will be gone from the promotion for 90 days.

Freddie Miller then goes over all the GCW events from the previous week.

We come back from break with Solie joined by Greg Gagne who says that he really doesn't want to have a match with George Weingroff bu George showed so much emotion last week slapping him in the face that he had to do what he had to do but again this will be a scientific match no roughhousing.

MATCH #4

Greg Gagne vs. George Weingroff

True to his word, Gagne keeps it clean and this is a total scientific match but Weingroff gets the better of Greg on occasion. Greg though comes back and he gets his Indian Death Lock on George but George gets to the ropes to break the hold. Greg then gets up and looks frustrated while George would take Greg's legs out from under him and got a jackknife cradle to win the match in 8:56. The crowd goes nuts as George has finally proven himself worthy to Greg and says as much as he goes over to Solie. Greg gets out of the ring and joins them at the podium saying that George beat him fair and square and now that George has the confidence he needs to make their team stronger and as they walk off....Gagne grabs Weingroff by the hair and posts him not once not twice but three times. Gagne then yells at Solie that he carried this guy for almost 2 months now and he thinks he is better than he is then he is dead wrong. Solie then yells at Greg how can he disgrace his family's legacy in wrestling and the fans love for him and Greg said that none of that has gotten him where he needed to be and now it's time for him to do what he has to do to be better than his father ever was.

We come back from break with Solie still shaken up from what just happened saying that he has known the Gagne family for over 25 years and the fact that Greg has disgraced the Gagne name is a shame that he hopes will not go unpunished. Mr. Wrestling then comes out and said that he can't believe what he just saw and that Greg Gagne will definitely get his soon.

MATCH #6

"Hacksaw" Butch Reed vs. Les Thornton

Reed wins with a diving shoulderblock off the top rope in 10:43 but as he celebrated he was attacked by The Shadow Riders who stomp him down until Koko Ware runs out with a steel chair to make the save.

We come back from break with Solie joined by Adrian Adonis, Angelo Mosca, & Jake Roberts saying that this is a team he never thought he would see and Jake said yeah it wasn't any of their choices to be aligned together but they share a common cause of hating the Gentleman's Club. Jake said that Jim Holliday is a leech who must be squashed as managers in general in wrestling are all money loving leeches that end up making all of their charges broke because they steal all their money. Mosca then steps up and says that since he has been free that he has never been happier and Adonis follows up saying that managers are worthless with Holliday being the most worthless.

MATCH #7

The Gentleman's Club ("The Crippler" Rip Oliver, "Mad Dog" Buzz Sawyer, & Super Destroyer) vs. "Adorable" Adrian Adonis, "King Kong" Angelo Mosca, & Jake "The Snake" Roberts

This is a total back and forth war with everyone going balls to the wall before it breaks down into a 6-way battle with Jake & Sawyer being the legal men and as Scrappy McGowan is trying to control the action.....all of a sudden Greg Gagne runs out wearing a black glove and he enters the ring where he KO's Jake then runs out. Buzz then climbs up top and hits a big diving body press on Jake to get the pinfall. Everyone is stunned at what just happened and Holliday goes over to Solie saying that he warned everyone earlier in the show that they were stupid and he then formally introduced the newest member of the "Gentleman's Club".....Greg Gagne.....Greg tells Solie that Gentleman Jim Holliday has been talking with him for a while and that he has seen what he has done for his charges and that is getting them main events day after day week after week while he has been stuck carrying George Weingroff around. Holliday then said that he is going to reward Greg for his actions and pulls out some keys which he said that Greg is now the new owner of the 1983 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 and Holliday follows up saying that Jake Roberts will face Buzz Sawyer on 9/4 at The Omni and that the National Heavyweight Title will come home to the Gentleman's Club as we fade to black.

I put that Tombstone/Top Rope Legdrop finisher of The Nightmares up there with just about any other tag team. When you saw them hit that you knew it was over.

I like the Greg Gagne turn. I thought watching him on the AWA set that he might have had a good heel run in him if he had worked anywhere else.

Got worried Greg was gonna be Jake's opponent on the Anniversary show there for a second. I still think he'd be a pretty decent Blanchard-like heel.

Sawyer, Destroyer, Oliver, and Gagne is an improvement on the inaugural Gentlemen's Club roster. Like the dynamic.

I hope Weingeroff gets some revenge. He's been used really well so far in GCW.

Jake vs Butch at the top of the card is something special. I am interested to see who is next in line in the main event scene here as I think both guys still have some huge potential coming out of this feud whenever it comes to fruition. I agree with Grimmas - Jake is perhaps the star who has benefited most from us doing this draft. I also want to keep my eyes on Paul Orndroff, he seems to be someone who could explode upwards in a big way at any moment in time.

We start this week's episode of Georgia Championship Wrestling with Gordon Solie being joined by Brad Armstrong and they talk about the serious injury that "Pistol" Pez Whatley suffered on 8/31 in McDonough where the Shadow Riders spike piledrove Pez on a steel chair and Brad fully believes that the Southern Studs had something to do with it after they cut up his jersey last week. Brad said that he will find a new partner and he will get his revenge on the Studs saying that one of them will be getting a haircut real soon.

"Diamond" Timothy Flowers and his manservant Pablo then follow behind Brad and Flowers talks about his issues with Scott McGhee saying that now is the time for McGhee to show how manly he is because in his vast experiences with British men he knows that they are very submissive. Flowers said that American men are more dominant and that's why he has been dominating everyone he was went up against so far here. McGhee then comes out and slaps Flowers in the face and tells him that he will submit him alright and the match is on.

MATCH #1

"Diamond" Timothy Flowers vs. Scott McGhee

This becomes a fight with both men really taking it to each other before McGhee would grab Flowers near the ropes for a German Suplex but as he picked him up, Pablo tripped up McGhee and Flowers fell on top of him to get the win in 8:43. Flowers & Pablo celebrated afterwards hugging each other before McGhee ran out and attacked both of them sending them running to the back.

Freddie Miller then goes over all the previous week's events in the NWA before going to break.

After the break, Solie is joined by The Nightmares (Danny Davis & Ken Wayne) who talk about their match with the Oates Brothers today and Davis talks about how yeah they have to leave town for 90 days if they lose but the Oates Brothers are overrated and always have been. Wayne said that The Nightmares are what's hot right now in wrestling and that this is a new era not 1973 where the Oates Brothers thought they were hot. Mr. Wrestling then comes out and tells them that since they went to a 15:00 draw last week they have added another 5 minutes for a special 20:00 TV time limit which seemed to please The Nightmares.

MATCH #2

Jerry & Ted Oates vs. The Nightmares (Danny Davis & Ken Wayne)

Again if the Nightmares lose here then they must leave town for 90 days and this was a real hard fought match with both teams duking it out with each other. The Nightmares would then try their tombstone piledriver/diving legdrop combo again but Jerry countered and hit Davis with a tombstone piledriver of his own then followed up with an inside toehold to get the win in 17:31 and the Nightmares are gone for 90 days.

Solie comes back from break joined by "Hacksaw" Butch Reed & Koko Ware talking about their upcoming National Tag Titles match against The Shadow Riders ("Hangman" Bobby Jaggers & Johnny Mantell) at The Omni tomorrow night on the NWA 35th Anniversary Show. Reed said that he & Koko are gonna take the titles for the people of Atlanta and get the belts off of those wannabe cowboys. Koko said that he & Butch are ready to show everyone that while they may be two singles wrestlers but they are brothers for life.

MATCH #3

"Hacksaw" Butch Reed & Koko Ware vs. Jerry Bryant & Les Thornton

Reed & Koko are dominant here just punishing Bryant and then Ware used a brainbuster on Bryant in 5:13. Thornton never got in the ring proper and he was very angry so he picked up Bryant and just dropped him with his high-angle backbreaker.

Freddie Miller then goes over all the previous events of the week in GCW before going to break.

We come back from break with Solie now joined by Gentleman Jim Holliday and the Gentleman's Club with Holliday doing a new roll call since Greg Gagne is now an official member of the group. Solie asked Gagne if he was proud of himself for what he did to George Weingroff last week and Greg said most definitely because he got a brand new car, brand new friends, and has been winning all week since he dumped that loser Weingroff. Gagne said that also thanks to him the National Heavyweight Title will come where it belongs and that will be the Gentleman's Club and around the waist of "Mad Dog" Buzz Sawyer. Sawyer said that tomorrow night at The Omni will be a joyous occasion for the NWA but not for Jake Roberts because he will be without his title and without his manhood.

MATCH #4

Greg Gagne vs. Sam Houston

Gordon Solie mentions that this is the debut of Sam Houston here in GCW and that he is a good looking young talent but in way over his head here. Gagne then proved that point as he just roughed poor Sam up before KOing him with his black glove then putting on the sleeper hold for good measure finishing him off in 6:51.

After the match, Gordon is joined by NWA World Heavyweight Champion Harley Race who is surrounded by the Gentleman's Club with Solie asking Race why he feels the need of having them around him and Harley tells him that Paul Orndorff is a nut and you can't tell what he is going to do. Harley then said that he is here to compete on TV today and that he is going to show everyone across the world why he is the best at what he does with no one else coming close to him.

MATCH #5

Harley Race vs. Roberto Soto

Soto gives Race a good match but Race would overwhelm him as the match went on and Race put Soto away with a piledriver in 9:34. Race then yelled out to Solie where's Orndorff at saying that his piledriver was better than his. Orndorff then ran out and attacked Race but was jumped by the GC who beat him down until Jake, Adonis, & Mosca ran out to even the odds. Once the ring was cleared out though, Orndorff got up and shoved each one of the other guys before leaving.

MATCH #6

"Mad Dog" Buzz Sawyer vs. Rick McCord

Buzz destroys McCord in 3:09 then yells out for Jake to come out here which he does and they have a wild brawl which sees Gagne KO Jake again with his black glove. Adonis then got KOed by a loaded mask by Super Destroyer and Mosca ate a spike piledriver by Oliver and Gagne. Gentleman Jim Holliday then proclaimed that the Gentleman's Club runs this place which brings out Mr. Wrestling who said that he is tired of all of this going on and his past fines hasn't been enough so he will do something more drastic. Mr. Wrestling then announces that the Gentleman's Club will be banned from TV next week which infuriates Holliday.

Before the next match, Brad Armstrong comes out and says that he is taking Ron Ritchie on to be his partner today to take on the Southern Studs and he is confident that they can get the job done. Mr. Wrestling then comes out and announces that The Gentleman's Club has been escorted out of the building.

MATCH #7

The Southern Studs (Chick Donovan & Tommy Wright) vs. Brad Armstrong & Ron Ritchie

Brad & Ron work good together early on but the Studs are much more accustomed to working as a team and it helps them go over in the end as Wright hits a backdrop suplex hold on Ritchie to win 11:22. The Studs then continue to beat down the faces afterwards until Reed & Ware make the save which brings out the Shadow Riders and it becomes a beatdown as the Riders & Studs work together to stand tall over the fallen babyfaces with Gordon Solie sadly proclaiming that there may actually be honor among thieves.

Harley Race then comes back out and joins Solie talking about how Paul Orndorff is a fool if he thinks he is taking that NWA World Heavyweight Title from him which brings out Orndorff who tells Race that his buddies aren't here anymore to watch his back and he decks Race sending him into the ring where he would hit him with his piledriver then laid the NWA World Heavyweight Title belt on top of his fallen body as the screen fades to black.
