goodhelmet Posted October 5, 2015 Report Posted October 5, 2015 http://placetobenation.com/between-the-sheets-11-september-29-october-5-1996 Kris & David are joined by Michael Rogalewski to discuss the week that was September 29-October 5, 1996 which features WWF in turmoil in New York City, comings and goings in Japan, Konnan vs. Antonio Pena at a tipping point, ECW getting red hot, and the early days of the nWo arent as great as we remember. This is a damn good show!!!
Matt D Posted October 5, 2015 Report Posted October 5, 2015 Kris needs to lose his voice so I can play catch up.
cheapshot Posted October 5, 2015 Report Posted October 5, 2015 Look forward to this dropping each and every Monday. Thanks guys!
Bix Posted October 5, 2015 Report Posted October 5, 2015 I can't believe Kris didn't put the SPECIAL SURPRISE in the blurb. Best moment in the 3 months of show history so far.
Bix Posted October 5, 2015 Report Posted October 5, 2015 Time stamps: 0:00:00 WWF 0:52:42 AJPW, BJPW, IWA Japan, MUGA, Tokyo Pro, & UWFI 1:37:35 AAA 1:49:46 AWF, ECW, & USWA 2:19:57 WCW
Mad Dog Posted October 5, 2015 Report Posted October 5, 2015 Johnny Ace jokes are always appreciated. This episode was really funny because that Billy Reil story and that Strangle Mania ICP DVD came up in conversations for me last week.
bradhindsight Posted October 6, 2015 Report Posted October 6, 2015 The secret surprise is well worth listening for. Really funny stuff.
cheapshot Posted October 9, 2015 Report Posted October 9, 2015 At the end of the show you were talking the German tournaments for CWA, and I think Kris asked if Dixon still runs camp shows with Bix saying he didn't think they did. I am pleased to tell you that Dixon is running as many as ever. El Ligero worked 4 separate shows in one day last year near Blackpool for example.
Happ Hazzard Posted October 9, 2015 Report Posted October 9, 2015 I know Butlins still has wrestling twice a week, but they only have 3 camps nowadays. Not sure if the second tier holiday camps like Pontins, Haven etc still have wrestling. Dixon probably needs to try getting into CentreParcs.
Matt D Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 The secret surprise is well worth listening for. Really funny stuff. I almost crashed the car yesterday I was laughing so hard.
Mad Dog Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 What was the phone number again? I might call it when I need cheering up.
