So...I went to an Indy show headlined by Tatanka tonight.....

He wrestled in the main event, and after nine chops, four clotheslines, and three body slams, as he stood there sucking wind, he actually started a "You Still Got It" chant for himself.....

I just felt the need to share that story, and I thought the folks here might appreciate the absurdity of it.

I went to an Indy show around 2011 where Sid's sole contribution to the match was three elbows to get out of a sleeper and kneeling on all 4's to pin his opponent after a manager miscommunication spot. He took no bumps at all either.

So compared to that Tatanka does still have it.

Sid would only need to stand and do nothing to still have 'it' though.

I saw Tatanka at an indie show around four years ago, right as I was getting back into wrestling. Kongo Kong was on the show (before I knew who he was) and had a killer match (the only passable match on the show) and I ended up walking out on Tatanka in the main event. In like 8 minutes, he had made no physical contact with his opponent. He kept going to the outside and hanging out with plants (yes, they had plants with Tatanka signs) and it was so cringe.

I went to a show featuring Tatanka a few years back, and I'm almost positive Tatanka started a "You've still got it" chant then as well. The bulk of the match was Tatanka hitting chops and no-selling any offence.

As I recall, this was the same show where Joseph Conners was tasked with getting something watchable out of papier-mache-ankled Marty Jannetty, then after winning had another match with a non-advertised Chris Masters.

I know, it was really bizarre, nothing about it made any sense. After Conners beat Jannetty, Masters' music and video came on, and out came comedy wrestler Flex Buffington (gimmick: out of shape guy who thinks he's an Adonis), who Conners destroyed. Then, the video played again and Masters emerged to take on Conners. Bear in mind Conners is the top heel in the promotion, so they had him cleanly beat an aging legend, beat up someone who challenged him post match, then wrestle to a draw with a big name ex-WWE star who hadn't just fought 2 people. Really baffling. The only thing I can assume is that Masters was already in the country for a PCW show, and made himself available too late for them to advertise.
