Formatting issues posting on mobile?

I am noticing when I post here via my iPhone that all apostrophes and quotation marks get removed from whatever I typed. It seems to be a recent issue, wondering if its some kind of board software quirk.

 

 

Some examples: these all have apostrophes when I type them in.... wont cant didnt

This should have quotation marks around it

 

When I hit send they all will disappear.

That's not an issue with the board, it's an issue with your phone. I have had this issue with iOS on iPhone and iPad. It's the smart punctuation.

 

On the iPhone -- go to Settings --> General --> Keyboard --> Smart Punctuation

 

Turn that function off. It will do the trick.

 

Not sure how to turn it off on Android, however.

Not sure now it's an issue with the phone and not the board when it formats properly in the reply box and only disappears when I hit either the post or preview buttons.

Yes, that's the exact issue I was experiencing. It's the Smart Pronunciation.

Well I'll give it a shot, I'm actually on a computer now, will try replying from my phone later to test it.
