Matt D Posted June 15, 2020 Report Posted June 15, 2020 Obviously the Boogeyman is coming back. Quote
KawadaSmile Posted June 16, 2020 Author Report Posted June 16, 2020 PLEASE GIVE US CHRISTIAN VS ORTON Quote
SmoothS Posted June 16, 2020 Report Posted June 16, 2020 I'll follow along with y'all reports, might watch it tomorrow. Tonight I'm watching that Arisa Nakajima vs. ASUKA match, various DDT matches, rewatch the Go Shiozaki vs Akitoshi Saito match, and finally the NJPW Together Project show. Quote
Tenese Sarwieh Posted June 16, 2020 Report Posted June 16, 2020 Orton/Christian has excellent chemistry in 11 and if it's not a tease I have no doubt they will deliver since Christain always was a better worker than Edge. Quote
sek69 Posted June 16, 2020 Report Posted June 16, 2020 I decided to go to a SD taping when I was in Orlando a few years back and it ended up being the one where Orton won the big gold belt from Christian. It's probably still the best match I've seen live. Quote
KawadaSmile Posted June 16, 2020 Author Report Posted June 16, 2020 Shit, this Lana/MVP exchange is CRAZY Quote
Matt D Posted June 16, 2020 Report Posted June 16, 2020 Christian on the E&C podcast always sounded so gunshy and certain about not coming back. Like sticking his hand into fire. With Edge it was always almost scholarly, where he'd sort of lecture about it and how he had kids and couldn't end up paralyzed, etc. With Christian, it was, and I don't mean this to shame him in any way, but my read on it was always fear. Real fear. Quote
KawadaSmile Posted June 16, 2020 Author Report Posted June 16, 2020 Can't really blame him for it. His best friend nearly died, he suffered a career-ending concussion... Not to mention the wrestlers he and Edge have met along the way who died young. It's a fear that already creeps into regular peeps, and when you factor in the risky job... Quote
Matt D Posted June 16, 2020 Report Posted June 16, 2020 I guess my point is that despite the rumors and what we've seen so far, I can't imagine him wrestling tonight, even in a protected streetfight situation. Managing Orton? Getting taken out by the Fiend? This being a swerve to ambush Drew? I don't know. Anything but. And I'm the biggest Christian fan here. Quote
KawadaSmile Posted June 16, 2020 Author Report Posted June 16, 2020 Big ninjas wrestling vikings. Wrestling is awesome. Quote
Rocco Posted June 16, 2020 Report Posted June 16, 2020 This is a super angle heavy show. Seth hasn't wrestled that much last couple months on TV. Not sure if that's on purpose to try and make his TV matches feel special or if just has an injury or something. Quote
KawadaSmile Posted June 16, 2020 Author Report Posted June 16, 2020 Liv lost :(((((((((((((((((((( Quote
sek69 Posted June 16, 2020 Report Posted June 16, 2020 Nattie and Lana going all Thelma and Louise and burning it down could be an interesting turn. Quote
KawadaSmile Posted June 16, 2020 Author Report Posted June 16, 2020 Look I'm just gonna say it but MVP is a much more interesting on-screen manager than Heyman Quote
C.S. Posted June 16, 2020 Report Posted June 16, 2020 14 minutes ago, KawadaSmile said: Look I'm just gonna say it but MVP is a much more interesting on-screen manager than Heyman Heyman has been wildly overrated for so long now. Quote
KawadaSmile Posted June 16, 2020 Author Report Posted June 16, 2020 HAHAHAHA Truth is funny as shit Quote
SmoothS Posted June 16, 2020 Report Posted June 16, 2020 Legendary booker. As a manager, well, he's one of the best talkers you will find anywhere. Can sell an igloo to an eskimo. Quote
KawadaSmile Posted June 16, 2020 Author Report Posted June 16, 2020 TWO ANGRY BEEFY MEN SLAPPING MEAT!! Quote
KawadaSmile Posted June 16, 2020 Author Report Posted June 16, 2020 Fun tag match. Drew's an EXCELLENT babyface champ. Quote
sek69 Posted June 16, 2020 Report Posted June 16, 2020 Never thought I'd see RIC FLAIR trying to be the voice of reason to someone attempting an ill-advised return to the ring. Quote
SmoothS Posted June 16, 2020 Report Posted June 16, 2020 Yep, a man who wrestled way after the age of 50 (so many fun & great matches, BTW). Then had one of the most emotional retirement matches ever.. and then went to TNA. Hilarious & ironic. Quote
