Autistic Dragon
Wins over these masked jobbers are a good way to build up the rookie Steiner. The Dudes get the w but pissed off Moondogs aren't good for anybody. Adams establishes himself with a win over Hase. Idol, Landel & Garvin may be the most obnoxious heel trio ever! Nice touch with the tag title match getting cut short due to a botch. Akbar has quite the intimidating trio. Tama Tonga lol. The Rockers are building a case for a tag title shot. Race isn't taking that attack earlier in the night lying down & issues a challenge for a huge six man in Naperville where his team wins and he gets another shot at Idol! spaldoni
Windy City is letting young Scott Steiner shine. Dynamic Dudes get the win but the Moondogs want more. Oh man, serious heat between Garvin, Landell, Taylor and Adams. I liked the little details referring to the Nasty Boys sloppiness. Idol's the one responsible for Race's beatdown. Idol, Garvin and Landel get even more heat with that promo. Which is followed by another brawl. Interesting turncoat gimmick for Kirchner. I think this could've drawn some good heat IRL. Spivey gives the fans a pleasing victory. Damn! Kamala and the Savages come in with a bang! Akbar leading these men is a game changer for Windy City. Rockers excite the crowd. Idol and Bad News do their best but the aftermath is the real story. All hell breaks loose to set up a huge must see 6 man tag. BTW, the visual of Bad News chasing the Ref cracked me up. Windy City is rock'n!
Scarlet-Left
Some really fun rhetoric from Austin Idol, there! Dan Spivey getting the win helps the fans fell better about it, though! I loved that Main Event, especially the post-match! I'm really looking forward to Naperville!
LowBlowPodcast
WCPW Nightmare in Naperville! February 24th - Naperville, Illinois - Civic Center Joe Pedicino: Welcome ladies and gentlemen to Windy City Pro Wrestling’s…. NIGHTMARE IN NAPERVILLE! We’ve got a great card tonight including the WCPW Tag Team titles on the line as the Nasty Boys take on the Battens… plus we’ll see a no disqualification match between the Dynamic Dudes and the Moondogs! Our main event tonight is going to be a special six-man tag with Austin Idol, Buddy Landel, & Jim Garvin taking on Harley Race, Terry Taylor, & Chris Adams! Plus so much more… let’s get going with our opening contest… White Lightning & Black Thunder vs The Samoan Savages w/ Skandar Akbar The Savages come out with the fire sticks and put everyone on edge Lightning and Thunder get some offense in but this is a great showcase for the Savages Tama and Tonga both lay in some serious lumber with potato after potato The finish is pretty slick with Tama hitting a powerslam and then Tonga coming off the top rope with a diving headbutt! 3-count… the Savages… they look like a force to be reckoned with Scott Steiner vs the Grappler Big time contest for Scott Steiner who is going up against his toughest test yet The Grappler hasn’t quite hit his stride here in Windy City but his favor looks to change tonight Grappler goes low every chance he gets Steiner has got the crowd behind him and he finds a way to stay in the match and work over the Grappler Things are looking bleak but then the Grappler goes outside the ring and then under the ring? Steiner goes out and he’s looking for Grappler… but the Grappler comes out the other side? What in the world is going on here? The Grappler… maybe… attacks Steiner from behind. He tosses him into the ringpost and Steiner hits it the wrong way… he’s busted above the eye Grappler climbs back in the ring… the referee continues to count…he gets to 10! The Grappler has won via count out… but the crowd isn’t happy and Steiner isn’t done! Steiner… wiping the blood from his eye then goes and grabs under the ring… OH MY… he’s got something! Steiner pulls out… The Grappler?! The other Grappler jumps down and now Steiner is being double teamed and left for dead They pick him up for a double suplex outside the ring on the concrete! {Pure chaos to get the night started and Steiner is a mess as he’s helped to the back. No clue on how this one will end up. We then see the Samoan Savages lead out Skandar Akbar and the Mighty Kamala! The Ugandan Giant is something to behold. Some of the kids in the crowd are terrified until the music hits for the Iceman who comes out to a great ovation!} Iceman Parsons vs Kamala w/ Skandar Akbar Iceman is still looking to find a way to get his rhythm here in WCPW Kamala is just a monster who attacks him right from the get go Iceman is fighting back with everything he’s got but can’t seem to get it together Kamala with a huge slam and then he begins to bite the head of Iceman The referee has lost control of this for all intents and purposes When the referee grabs Kamala then the Samoans come over and sneak in some shots Iceman is in a no win situation here as Kamala picks up Iceman on his shoulder… he runs to the ropes and tosses him to the floor! Iceman looks like he lands right on his head and there’s the referee counting Akbar is a nut outside the ring as the referee gets to 10 and then the Savages go to work on Iceman They toss him back in the ring. Kamala has won via count out Iceman is then hit with a double gutbuster followed up by a big splash from Kamala {The officials take Iceman out on a stretcher… he doesn’t look to be in a good way at all. We see Danny Spivey come out and he checks on Iceman… these guys are friends but Spivey has got someone in the ring waiting for him… Cuban Assassin… Fidel Sierra! Dan Spivey vs Cuban Assassin Spivey continues to build steam The fans are really behind him right now Assassin is another heel to help get Spivey over and he does it in convincing fashion Spivey is able to work him over… hit a big boot… then HELICOPTER TOSS! 1….2….3!!! Spivey wins this one and works the crowd. {Next up, Pedicino announces the big no disqualification tag team match. We see the Moondogs come out and needless to say they are looking rough. Then we see Zenk and Ace come out to a great ovation. Let’s see how this goes.} NO DISQUALIFICATION Dynamic Dudes vs The Moondogs Big time match for both of these teams. We find out the winners of this match will take on the Tag Champs in two weeks in Gurnee The bones are used early Zenk and Ace are definitely out of their element. The highlight of the match is when the Moondogs are double teaming Johnny Ace outside the ring and then Tom Zenk gets out on the apron and runs down the apron and leaps onto both Moondogs to pop the crowd! This is the turn of the tide… Zenk and Ace are putting it together… The final moments are pretty fun…Zenk and Ace toss Rex to the ropes and then hit a double back drop over the top rope to the floor! Ace and Zenk then run at Spot and duck a clothesline before hitting the ropes and nailing a big double dropkick! Zenk with the cover for the 3-count! {Ace and Zenk get the win and work the crowd. They’ll be taking on the WCPW Tag Team Champions when WCPW heads to Gurnee, Illinois for the Carnage at the Carnival! Now… time to find out… who will be the champions?} WCPW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP The Batten Twins vs The Nasty Boys © A nice little contest for both teams. The Nasties are definitely the better team The Battens do work well enough together and get in some offense to make the match look good… but this is another showcase for what the Nasty Boys bring to the table. The finish sees the Nasties hit a double shoulder breaker on Brad Sags then comes off the middle rope with an elbow right to Batten’s throat and then the 3-count. {The tag champs look good here. The Nasty Boys are set to take on the Dynamic Dudes in a couple of weeks but don’t forget about the Rockers and the New Breed… right now we get to see Bad News and Hase!} Hiro Hase vs Bad News Brown In a little bit of a weird contest, Bad News beats the hell out of Hase He makes pretty quick work of him and then hits the Ghetto Blaster Brown with the 3-count… but this isn’t over… He goes over and grabs the referee…. Wait a second… that’s the same referee who was in his heavyweight title match a week ago! Brown is slapping him around and then a bodyslam! Bad News doesn’t seem to be stopping anytime soon but then the crowd stirs… Danny Spivey comes running down to the ring and Bad News retreats This referee is in a bad way as Spivey checks on him. {Bad News works the crowd up pretty well here on his way to the back. Spivey and other officials check on the referee who is in a bad way. We then build up to our next contest… a tag team encounter with some serious stakes on the line… let’s go to the ring…} The Rockers vs The New Breed A really well put together tag team encounter with all four men really leaving it out in the ring The New Breed are just edgy enough to get some heat while the Rockers are without a doubt the favorites here in WCPW We get a fun 13-minute affair with double team moves and quick tags. The match could go either way at any moment but as time winds down the action picks up The New Breed has the edge and the finish is pretty special… Royal is set to come off the top rope on Jannetty for a cross body but out of nowhere… Shawn Michaels with a dropkick right into his chest! Royal gets up but then Jannetty runs and crossbodies him over the top rope to the floor! Michaels with the cover for the 3-count! {The Rockers win… they have got things going their way…but do they get a title shot in the future? We’ll find out soon enough. The stage is now set for this huge main event… the crowd is stirring. Here with go…} Joe Pedicino: Ladies and gentlemen, it is now time for our main event. This is a one fall match with a sixty minute time limit. A special addition to this match is that if Harley Race’s team wins, then Harley Race will receive a championship match against Austin Idol for the Windy City Heavyweight Championship. Now… introducing first… Pedicino: From the United Kingdom… Gentlemen Chris Adams! From Greenville, South Carolina… Terry Taylor! From Kansas City, Missouri… the former NWA World Heavyweight Champion… Harley Race! Pedicino: Their opponents… first… from Tampa, Florida… he is accompanied by Precious… Jimmy Garvin! Next… from Knoxville, Tennessee… Buddy Landel! Their partner… the reigning Windy City Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Champion… from Tampa, Florida… Austin Idol! Harley Race, Chris Adams & Terry Taylor vs Austin Idol, Jimmy Garvin, & Buddy Landel A main event if there ever was one… these six-men go 28-minutes and it is something to behold Garvin and Adams have got some serious heat with one another and the crowd eats it up Landel and Taylor are well enough and keep the momentum of the match going Then we get Race and Idol and these fans come unglued After our big showdowns… things get mixed around… and without question… Chris Adams is the mvp here He is rocking all over the ring and he looks like a star in the making At the 20-minute mark we see Harley Race get double teamed by Garvin and Landel and then sent out to the floor… that is when Austin Idol leaps off the apron with a knee to the back of the head This gives the heels a 3 on 2 and they go to work on Terry Taylor… they wear his ass out before he makes a tag to Adams who comes in to get things heated up The heels are all bumping around for him but they also have the advantage and take control This leads to a huge tag to Harley Race who found his way up to the apron He comes in with some serious rights and lefts! Austin Idol is doing eveythting he can to stay away from him but Race grabs him with a headbutt and then tosses him over the top rope to the floor. Garvin then comes with a knee to the back and Race hits the turnbuckle Garvin turns around and SUPERKICK from Adams and he goes out of the ring to the floor Buddy Landel runs for a clothesline but Adams ducks and then hits another SUPERKICK on Landel… that sets up Race for a running high knee! Race covers for the 1….2…..3!!! {Harley Race and his team have won it! The crowd pops for Harley… he is going to be taking on Idol in two weeks in Gurnee! Taylor doesn’t appear to be in too good of shape. Idol isn’t happy about this… can he walk out with the title next time he and Race meet one on one?}
Autistic Dragon
Opening bout establishes Tama & Tonga as a couple of Bad Boys. Scotty Steiner gets screwed by the Grappler with help from.....the Grappler! Damn! Iceman got mauled by Akbar's savages. Spivey is quickly becoming the Windy Cities Golden Boy! If you can beat The Moondogs in a no dq match you've definitely earned a title shot. The Battens put in a good effort but it's not enough. The Nasty Boys vs The Dynamic Dudes may be the most 80s wrestling match ever! Bad News is still sore about his title match last week. And now he gets to take out his aggression on Spivey. He'll try at least. The Rockers are on a roll!....I'll show myself out. I like the touch of the main event getting a special introduction. Race gets another shot at the Universal Heartthrob thanks largely to Adams throwing a superkick party! How's Idol gonna get out of this one? Carnival Carnage looks to be WCPW's most stacked card yet! rainmakerrtv
Love the development of young Scott Steiner. Rockers vs. New Breed would be a super fun 80s tag match. Amazing main event, big fan of the heel duo of Idol and Landell. Carnival Carnage is set to be awesome!
Scarlet-Left
The Rockers versus The New Breed makes for a really fun lead into the main event. Speaking of which, that was awesome! I'm glad to see Harley Race score the pin ahead of his title match!
spaldoni
Samoan Savages make a brutal statement to kick things off. Young Steiner feels the wrath of the Grapplers. Looks like he's going to need a partner. Good grief! Poor Iceman. Kamala looks like an unstoppable beast. The fans needed a good pop and Spivey gives it to them. Dynamic Dudes prove they're more than just a couple of pretty boys. Nasty Boys put down the Battens, but the Dynamic Dudes await. Bad News gets some serious heat by beating up a Ref. He's one bad dude! Will Spivey be able to put him in his place? Rockers get the win in a thriller with the New Breed. The tag division is on fire. Another big time main event! Exciting finish as Harley earns his title shot! What a match! See you in Gurnee
kevinmcfl
Very entertaining show. You are doing a nice job of hyping up your talent without the big promos. I enjoyed the Steiner match with him going under the ring for the other Grappler.
LowBlowPodcast
WCPW Carnival Carnage! March 11 - Gurnee, Illinois - Civic Center The Rockers vs White Lightning and Black Thunder Good opener to get the crowd going Jannetty and Michaels are really in sync and they are putting on a show for the fans We get the double fist drop and the 3-count… sweet and simple… then they go to Joe Pedicino… {Pedicino and the Rockers put over the Gurnee crowd and then announce that in two weeks, in Orland Park, they will get a shot at the Windy City Tag Team Championship! The Rockers say it will be an honor to face the Dudes but they want the Nasty Boys to shut them up for good! Pedicino puts them over as we head to our next contest…} Chris Adams vs Buddy Landel A good 13-minute contest with two all pros here Adams has really gotten over with the fans while Landel still has some good heat but not much momentum We see Buddy work the leg and control the match He is trying to subdue the superkick but Adams continues to fight The finish is fun… Buddy goes for the Figure Four Leg Lock but Adams pushes him into the turnbuckle with his good leg Buddy Nails the turnbuckle only for Adams to nip up and then hit a huge SUPERKICK for the 3-count! {Adams works the crowd as Landel can’t seem to find his footing and falls on his way to the back. Joe Pedicino then spots Syracuse great Mike Rotundo in the crowd. Rotundo says he is here to enjoy Windy City Wrestling and he has got a meeting with the officials about possibly joining the promotion. The fans give him a little bit of love. Next out is Scott Steiner who looks ready for a fight!} Scott Steiner vs the Grappler Steiner and the Grappler have had some issues as of late and this is a good continuation of that feud Steiner is able to throw Grappler around and Scotty looks like he’s ready to suplex him out of the ring The big moment happens when Steiner nails a huge belly to belly and Grappler does go out of the ring to the floor. Grappler then sneaks under the ring and on the other side… another Grappler comes out! Grappler II sneaks up behind Steiner and starts to pound on him The crowd is booing up a storm and the referee isn’t sure what to make of it Grappler II looks like he has the upperhand but Steiner turns the tide! Steiner with some big rights and lefts and then throws him to the ropes and a TWILT A WHIRL SLAM! 1…..2…..GRAPPLER 1 is back in the ring and kicks Steiner for the DQ! The referee has lost control as both Grapplers are working over Scott Steiner now They toss Scott outside the ring and then RAM HIS ARM INTO THE RINGPOST! Scott goes down in pain… then the Grapplers DO IT AGAIN! Wait a second… out of the crowd… Mike Rotundo! Rotundo jumps in the ring and throws some big right hands to back up the Grapplers who retreat! Steiner looks to be in serious pain… Rotundo is checking on him with other officials… {Steiner is being helped to the back and needless to say this doesn’t look great. The area clears in time for the Soulman Rocky Johnson to come out to a nice ovation from the crowd. Then we see the Samoan Savages come out with fire sticks before Skandar Akbar leads the Mighty Kamala out to the ring…} Rocky Johnson vs Kamala w/ Skandar & The Samoan Savages The Soulman has got some nice pop and he brings the heat against the big man Kamala gives him just enough to make him worthwhile but nothing too offensive Kamala is able to wear him down pretty good but the Soulman fights back with some big rights and lefts Johnson even nails Tonga and Tama for good measure! The distraction is enough for Kamala to attack him from behind and get control! Kamala then hits a nasty powerslam on Johnson as though he flies across the ring! Kamala then hits the ropes and comes CRASHING DOWN with the BIG SPLASH! Kamala then picks up Johnson and goes for another PowerSlam but this time he tosses him over the ropes to the floor! The referee makes the count and Kamala has won this one… via countout… and needless to say he is on a streak! {Kamala is scaring the fans at ringside and he seems to be out of control. Akbar is screaming that he will take control of Windy City Pro Wrestling! The Savages stay at the ring with Akbar as the Batten!} The Battens vs The Samoan Savages w/ Skandar Akbar Not much going on in this one Tonga and Tama just beat the hell out of these two guys The Battens aren’t able to get going whatsoever A big double superkick on Brad and then on Bart Tonga goes to the corner… Tama goes up top and hits a nasty diving heatbutt! 1….2….3! The Samoan Savages are on the rise…how high can they go? {We then see Jim Garvin come out with Precious and they are working the fans up something good. Then we see Terry Taylor come out and he has the fans excited for our next contest…} Terry Taylor vs Jim Garvin w/ Precious As good of a technical match that we’ve seen tonight These two go almost the full 15-minute time limit Garvin is able to get some heat Taylor is able to work his way back Precious uses the hairspray to blind Taylor This leads to Garvin coming from behind with a low blow Garvin turns Taylor around and hits the BRAINBUSTER 1….2….3 right in the middle of the ring! Garvin and Precious work the fans… Garvin looks like a strong contender here. {Joe Pedicino goes to the entryway where Harley Race walks out for a quick promo…} Harley: Tonight… right here in Gurnee… I am going to show the world that this old dog can hunt. I am not dumb to the idea that my prime has come and gone but that don’t mean I am dead. Austin Idol… I am going to show you why I am the real World's Champion. 7 times I held the NWA World Title. Now... I add the Windy City title to my collection and with it... your head! Rock N Roll RPMs attack the New Breed This one is out of control early on and all four men get involved in a full on brawl Davis & Lane are pulling no punches right now as Royal and Champion are going full on This one spills out of the ring to the floor with all four men pushing the referee away The big spot comes with Royal throws Lane over the rail into the fans Davis then runs with a clothesline on Royal that sends him over the rail! The referee is calling for the bell A double DQ is the call No clue on what is going to happen next with these four. {The chaos continues as these guys go to the back. The officials come out but then we see Bad News Brown come out and there’s the official that “cost” him the match against Idol. Brown threatens him and raises his arm but then Danny Spivey comes out of nowhere and attacks Brown in the aisleway!} Dan Spivey vs Bad News Brown This one is going wild already and picking up where the previous match left off. Spivey and Brown are throwing some big time rights and lefts The crowd is solidly behind Spivey and they boo whenever Bad News makes a shot Spivey catch Bad News and backdrops him over the ropes to the floor Bad News is able to catch himself though… and he pulls Spivey out of the ring Bad News then grabs Spivey and RAMS his head into the ringpost! SPIVEY IS BUSTED WIDE OPEN! Bad News is going to town on his head as the official is trying to break this up Bad News tosses Spivey in the ring Spivey tries to make one more effort but the blood loss is too much Bad News hits a GHETTO BLASTER out of nowhere and Spivey is down! Wait a second… Bad News… he isn’t going for the pin… but he walks up the aisle and grabs a bag he was carrying out… He gets back in the ring and lays down a couple more shots before opening the bag… oh my… scissors! The referee tries to grab Bad News but he throws him down This one is a no contest… but that’s not all… Bad News proceeds to cut off Spivey’s hair! He is doing a terrible job of it though as he is cutting it and throwing it in the air We finally see The Rockers and Chris Adams run out as Brown retreats… Spivey is bloody… and has got a terrible haircut… what is next for the big guy? {The fans have seen some serious brawling over the last two matches and now we get… the Nasty Boys… let’s see if the Dynamic Dudes can once again change their style to get their hands on the gold!} WCPW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP Dynamic Dudes vs The Nasty Boys © This one actually changes the tide from the previous contests The Dudes and Nasties seem to slow the pace down and work their specific styles This one goes around 14-minutes It happens to be more of a slow and plotting contest that the fans really don’t respond to Ace and Zenk have got the look and athleticism but they are missing something… and the fans find it and let them know about it The finish sees the Nasties counter Johnny Ace’s big momentum comeback Ace is flying around and throwing big shots He then goes up to the top and flies for a cross body but Sags catches him into a powerslam! Zenk can’t believe it as he gets up but Sags gets up and clotheslines him over the top to the floor. Ace is still down.. Knobbs is up top… ELBOW DROP! 1….2…..3!!! The Nasties retain… next week…. They take on the Rockers… big time match with big time consequences! {The ring is cleared… the debris is swept away… the lights go down and then spotlight hits the ring as Pedicino steps in…} Joe Pedicino: Ladies and gentlemen, this is the main event of the evening. This contest is scheduled for one fall with a sixty minute time limit and it is for the Windy City Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Championship! Introducing first…. The challenger… he hails from St. Louis, Missouri…. He is the former NWA World Heavyweight Champion… ladies and gentlemen… Harley Race!!! And his opponent… he hails from Tampa, Florida… he is the reigning… defending… Windy City Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Champion… The Universal Heartthrob… Austin Idol!!! WCPW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP Harley Race vs Austin Idol © Perhaps the most important match in the short history of Windy City Pro Wrestling This one goes 18-minutes and it shows off the strengths of both men Idol is working the crowd something special and really builds up the heat Race… he’s slow and methodical and sells everything Idol does The match builds to a couple of huge moments The first big moment is when Race ducks a clothesline from Idol and then nails a huge high knee and gets a 2.99 count! The fans all thought Race had won it He is pleading with the referee This gives Idol the chance to turn the tide with a nasty low blow The last quarter of the math is a showcase for Idol who beats Race down…until… The fans begin to cheer for the grizzled veteran… Race seems impervious to pain! He is throwing some huge rights and then an inverted atomic drop! The two brawl and trade blows until Race ducks a shot and then NAILS Idol with a right hand! Race grabs him…. PILEDRIVER! Race staggers over and covers him for the 1……2…..3…NO! Landel runs out of nowhere and throws Idol’s foot up on the rope. He appears to be late on the move but Race is irate Race grabs Landel and pulls him into the ring and nails him with a huge right hand! The referee can’t seem to get control but when Race turns around… IDOL NAILS HIM WITH THE BELT! Race is down… Idol covers…1…..2….3!!! {The crowd is irate… we see Landel help Idol up and wok the fans… he is still the champ… hook or crook… the belt is still his. The fans are really eating this up as Landel and Idol then go back and they are wearing Race out in the middle of the ring… but out of the back runs Chris Adams! Adams runs down and he’s hammering both men and then a huge SUPERKICK to Landel that sends him over the top to the floor! Idol runs for a clothesline but Adams ducks and then comes back with a superkick and Idol goes down HARD! He is laid out in the middle of the ring! Adams grabs the belt and puts it on him. March 25th… Adams gets his chance… how will that turn out?}

Autistic Dragon
The Rockers get a solid win to get them ready for their title shot in 2 weeks. Adams' superkick may have shut Budro up for a bit. Rotundo is a great ally for Steiner to have in his feud with The Grapplers. Worked great for Rick irl. Kamala claims his most impressive scalp in WCPW yet. I really like the touch of having him win his matches by countout. Really sells the beatings he dishes out. The Savages follow by mauling The Battens. Garvin gets the best of Taylor, with Precious's help. Race gives a short but sweet promo to hype the main event. RPMs & the New Breed boil over. Bad News decides to test his barber skills on Spivey. Sounds like he should stick to wrestling. The Nasties get past the Dudes but The Rockers await. Landel helps Idol retain tonight but can Adams overcome the odds on the 25th. A major show coming up in Orland park with the debut of Jimmy Snuka! Really glad i'm not Johnny Ace though. spaldoni
If you want to get a crowd going, send out the Rockers. Adams is looking like a true star. That win over Budro puts him in serious contention. Rotunda has arrived. I'm into the Steiner/Grappler feud. 2 Grapplers strike again but in comes Rotunda to even things up. Soulman fires the crowd up but Kamala is in full on monster mode. Creative finish. Who can stop Kamala? Akbar's terror doesn't end as the Savages destroy the Battens. Taylor and Jimmy Jam give the fans a fun match. Thanks to the always reliable Precious, Jimmy looks pretty good putting Taylor away. Harley means business. RPMs arrive with the heat. This program will help elevate the New Breed. Spivey and Brown have a fight! Bad News for Spivey as Brown not only hits the ghetto blaster but cuts his hair as well. I think this could unleash the beast in Spivey. Ace and Zenk don't have enough to take the gold. Nasties are looking good but now have the Rockers to deal with. Solid main event that gives the fans their money's worth. Race is oh so close to winning the title but thanks to Budro, Idol once again retains. Adams saves the day and we're set for the next big main event! Windy City is fresh and exciting!
Scarlet-Left
The Rockers are excellent openers! Chris Adams versus Buddy Landel is a solid match. Nice clean finish! Great first impression for Mike Rotundo! Scott Steiner will definitely be looking for payback! A strong showing for Skandar Akbar's posse, with back-to-back victories! It's fun to see a hairspray in the eyes finish. I wonder what's in store for Jimmy Garvin! RPMs and the New Breed give us some nice chaos and carnage! Great visual with Dan Spivey bloodied and haphazardly clipped, and great way to get the crowd riled up! I really hope the Rockers can succeed where the Dudes fell short! Really fun main event! Harley Race deserves a second chance or, at the very least, some time alone with Buddy Landel.

Makes sense. The New Breed survive The Moondogs & can move on to the RPMs. Bubdro & Sherri sound like a match made in heel heaven. Bad News knocks Johnny Ace into next week but the real story is Dan Spivey's ready to get Dangerous! Just how many Grapplers are there? The Rockers dethrone The Nasties to become the NEW Windy City Tag Champs! Garvin wins over a game Zenk. Superfly arrives with a splash. Idol's friends help him to another defense. But Race is still hot on his trail.

Autistic Dragon
Between the debut of Scott Hall, Idol picking a opponent for Race then teaming with Idol to challenge for the tag titles, Des Plaines is in for an eventful night. spaldoni
You know you're in for a wild night when Kamala and the Savages kick things off. Things kick up a notch between the New Breed and RPMs. One night in and Sherri already helps Budro get on the winning track. I love this pairing. I figured Spivey wouldn't walk away quietly. Brown has brought out Spivey's dangerous side. This could be bad news for Brown. Whoa! 3 Grapplers?!?! Looks like Rotunda and Steiner need another guy. This story has been a lot of fun. After an action packed match, the Rockers take down the Nasty Boys and win the tag titles! Huge moment. Jimmy Jam along with Precious are really rolling in Windy City. The Superfly has arrived!!! Once again the shenanigans work in Idol's favor as he retains against a fired up Adams. Harley comes out and the faces end the night standing tall. With both Harley and Adams on the hunt, Idol's reign might be in trouble. Then again, the Universal Heartthrob always finds a way to walk out with the title. Bring on Disaster in Des Plaines! April 8 - Des Plaines, Illinois - Civic Center -Windy City is live as the fans are filling in to the Civic Center tonight. A little bit of a production build up with a hard camera plus we have a handheld at ringside. There is also an elevated ramp and special entryway for the wrestlers. It is time to head to the ring where Joe Pedicino is announcing our first contest… Chris Champion w/ Sean Royal vs Tommy Lane w/ Mike Davis Hot opener with a real big feud brewing with these two men and their respective teams Champion has got star written all over him while Lane and Davis are serviceable talents who are doing a great job in their respective roles These guys go about 8-minutes with some fast and furious action The final moments see Mike Davis get involved leading to Sean Royal going over to attack him For whatever reason the referee jumps out to stop Royal while Davis runs into the ring The RPMs hit a DOUBLE DDT on Champion and then Davis rolls out as the referee rolls in for the 1…2….3!!! {The RPMs scamper away like thieves in the night. The crowd is not happy about this one as Royal wakes up Champion and they work the fans but then make chase down the aisle and up the ramp! We then cut to the ring as the Texas Hangman comes out with a hood and whip. Then we see the debuting Scott Hall!} Scott Hall vs the Texas Hangman The Big Guy who hails from St. Paul, Minnesota comes out and he looks awesome The Hangman attacks him right from the get go and we see a pretty good heat segment The match itself is only 5-minutes Hall is roughed up but then hits a huge boot out of nowhere to turn the tide Hall then works the fans and hits a series of Power Moves on Hangman Hall then make a sign as he picks up the Hangman for a FALL AWAY SLAM and the 1…2….3!!! {Hall makes quick work of the Hangman and the crowd pops! We then see Danny Spivey come down and congratulate him as they shake hands. Hall says he is here to make an impact just like Spivey. They said together and individually they are here to raise the bar and show these fans what it is all about! Spivey puts over the street fight later… what a match that’s going to be! We then see the Nasty Boys come out and work the fans. Then we see Rotundo come out by himself… he looks pretty beat up… Pedicino goes up to see what happened and Rotundo says that they were attacked by the Grapplers in the back and Scott was hurt! That doesn’t stop the Nasty Boys though who run over and attack! Mike Rotundo & Scott Steiner vs The Nasty Boys This one has already got out of hand It is two on one with the Nasties working over Rotundo Mike just can’t seem to get going and whenever he gets close - the Nastys tag up and take control This goes on for about 7-minutes and just when Rotundo seems like he can’t take anymore… SCOTT STEINER comes out to a huge pop! He’s got a bloody bandage on his head He is screaming for a tag Rotundo counters a clothesline with one of his own and then leaps for the huge tag to Steiner! Scotty comes in with some HUGE clotheslines and back body drops! The Nasty Boys don’t seem to know what is going on Steiner then hits a huge POWERSLAM on Knobbs! It seems as though the adrenaline is wearing off though… Scott grabs his head and goes down to a knee This gives Sags a chance to run over and plant a knee right into Scott’s skull! The Nasties take over while Rotundo tries to get up Wait… now here comes the Grapplers Rotundo sees them and goes to confront them but inside the ring… the Nasties pick up Scott for a SPIKE PILEDRIVER 1…2….3! Rotundo runs in but he’s too late The crowd isn’t happy about this one as The Nasties continue to cement their spot in the tag team ranks {Rotundo continues to check on Scott who is in a bad way. They take a couple of minutes to get him out of the ring as they head up the aisle way… Scott Casey comes out next and gives them some encouragement as he heads to the ring. Behind him though… the Ugandan Giant… Kamala! Scott Casey vs Kamala w/ Skandar Akbar Scott Casey is a helluva hand but even he can’t seem to get the best of the Mighty Kamala here tonight The Ugandan Giant is just a terror out there and he beats the living hell out of Casey Akbar is outside of the ring going wild here as the fans are really giving Kamala the business The finish sees Kamala hit a huge bear hug slam… Kamala then with a splash! Kamala picks up Casey and throws him over the ropes to the floor! The referee counts to 10 but Kamala isn’t finished He goes outside the ring and does another SPLASH off of the ring steps. He is without question the most dangerous man in Windy City… who can stop him? {Next up we get some good hype for our Windy City Tag Team Championship. The crowd is ready to go as the Rockers come out to a great pop! Landel and Idol are led to the ring by Sherri and my golly she looks good tonight. What an event… let’s go to the ring.} WINDY CITY TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP The Rockers © vs Austin Idol & Buddy Landel w/ Sherri Big match feel here and these guys bring everything they’ve got for a solid 25-minute contest Idol and Landel are just oozing out there and they get the fans all riled up Michaels and Jannetty both play to the fans so well The Rockers do get some good shine with some double team moves and high flying Idol and Landel give the boys their due and sell for them before taking back control Near the end of the contest it looks like Landel and Idol are going to finish things off but Jannetty makes a huge tag to Michaels who comes in like a house of fire Clotheslines! Arm Drags! Drop Kicks! Jannetty is back to his feet and hits a cross body on Idol that takes him over the top to the floor! Sherri gives something to Landel… Michaels goes for a big back body drop and Landel NAILS him right between the eyes! Landel put something underneath his arm pit 1…2…..3!!!! We have NEW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS! Idol and Landel are the new champions! The crowd is stunned here as Michaels gets up and his nose is busted The referee then goes to raise the hands of Landel and Idol and when he does the brass knucks fall out of Landel’s arm! The referee picks them up and shows them to Idol who says they aren’t his The Rockers are on their feet and nail a couple of huge right hands and then a pair of dropkicks! Landel and Idol go out of the ring to the floor The referee awards the bout to the Rockers via DQ and they are STILL the Champions! {We go to a 15-minute intermission as the fans take a quick break. At the end of the intermission… Joe Pedicino announces that the next Windy City Event is going to be JAILBREAK from Joliet, Illinois! The event will be the first time that Windy City will hold a 2-ring event with a 20-man over the top battle royal! The winner of that Battle Royal will earn a shot at the Windy City Champion at a later date. The crowd seems pumped as we get ready for our next contest….} Jimmy Snuka & Rocky Johnson vs Tama & Tonga w/ Skandar Akbar This is an interesting combination of Johnson and Snuka. Tonga and Tama appear to be on a really big run right now with their sights set on the Rockers This one is pretty fun with Snuka getting in there and mixing it up while Johnson also brings some real fire Tama and Tonga hit a couple of ice double team moves and quick tags before Snuka gets the hot tag and comes in like a house of fire This is about the time when we see Kamala wander back out to the ring. Akbar is telling him something Snuka with a couple of huge clotheslines and dropkicks before he tags Johnson back in This is when Kamala goes for Snuka who leaps at him and we’ve got a brawl in the aisleway! Meanwhile, Rocky goes back to look for a tag but no one is there When he turns around… Tonga comes with a kick that takes his HEAD OFF! Tonga picks up Johnson and hits a shoulderbreaker Tama off the top rope with a diving headbutt! Snuka is still outside the ring Inside we get the 3 count and the Samoan Savages have won it Tonga and Tama then join in with Kamala in beating the hell out of Snuka who looks like a mad man trying to fight them off {Officials come down to try and break this up. Akbar pulls his men back as Snuka wants all four of them! We get everything cleaned up and then we get a match a lot of people have been waiting for… here comes Jim Garvin with Precious… then we see Chris Adams and the crowd is ready for this one.} Chris Adams vs Jim Garvin This one has been building for quite some time…and they deliver These guys spend some time feeling each other out They spend some time getting some heat Garvin is able to work of the leg and try to subdue the superkick Adams fights with a nice fury that is unmatched in WCPW We get to the final moments as these men close in on the 20-minute time limit We see Garvin soften up Adams and then he goes for the hot shot suplex but Adams uses his momentum to go over his back Adams sets up and hits the SUPERKICK! Garvin goes down and Adams covers for the 1….2…. DING DING DING! Adams thinks he has won it Garvin seems to be laid out The referee then lets Joe Pedicino announce that the match is being awarded a TIME LIMIT DRAW! {Adams is irate as Garvin wobbles out of the ring to the floor. He has no clue what is going on right now and the crowd is letting him have it. We see Adams make chase but nothing doing. We go back to Joe Pedicino who welcomes in two new members of Windy City Pro Wrestling… Mike McGuirk and Craig DeGeorge! Mike will be doing the announcing for the matches and Craig will be sitting ringside with Joe calling the action… that brings out the WCPW Champion Austin Idol who is letting the fans have it… but then we see Harley Race come out and he is eye to eye with Idol. Idol says he has got a special surprise for Harley… then we see… from the back… oh my… it is… ABDULLAH THE BUTCHER! Harley Race vs Abdullah the Butcher I don’t think there was any way that Harley Race thought this would be the man Idol picked. Abdullah jumps right on top of Harley who looks like he’s fighting for his life right now. Race is throwing big time rights and lefts but Abby continues to come back Abby then pulls out the fork and my gosh Race is busted open. This one isn’t a classic and it doesn’t take long as Harley finds a way to fight back and he is rocking the big man Race throws him to the ropes and hits the flying knee but Abby is just stunned Race then goes for a BODY SLAM! The crowd is rocking but now Idol is outside the ring and he is getting Race’s attention Abdullah comes running but Race pulls the ropes down and Abby goes flying out into Idol! Race goes outside the ring and hammers away as the referee counts Idol tries to get involved and Race NAILS him with a huge right hand and the crowd explodes! Race then grabs Abdullah and RUNS HIM INTO THE RING POST! Race rolls in the ring right at the 10-count! {Race is the winner and he isn’t staying around the celebrate. The fans are chanting for him as he walks to the back with his eyes on Idol… someday these two are going to have to settle their issue. We then see the ring crew get ready for our next contest… here we go… what a main event.} Mike McGuirk: Ladies and gentlemen this is the main event of the evening. This match is sanctioned by Windy City Pro Wrestling. This match will be a no disqualification match with no time limit! Ladies and gentlemen, introducing first… he hails from Harlem, New York. Bad News Brown! His opponent… he hails from Atlanta, Georgia… Dangerous… Danny… SPIVEY! NO DISQUALIFICATION Danny Spivey vs Bad News Brown Big time contest with a lot on the line in terms of RESPECT here between these two The crowd is white hot for Spivey who is probably second to Race in terms of a pop right now These two go right to it with some big time rights and lefts and soon the fight goes out of the ring They use the guardrail They use the ring steps We even see Spivey throw Bad News on the announce table and everything go flying Bad News does get the upper hand with a nasty shot with the microphone right to Spivey’s head Spivey is busted and then Bad News goes to work He tosses him back in the ring and Bad News really starts pounding away Spivey attempts a big comeback but Bad News with a judo kick right to the gut and then the throat! Spivey is in a bad way as Bad News goes outside and he grabs… a chair! Brown comes back and swings but Spivey ducks and nails him with a big boot! The bloodied Spivey is trying to finish… Bad News comes again and BACK BODY DROP! Spivey then picks up the chair and NAILS Bad News in the back and he goes flying through the ropes You can tell Spivey is in a bad way… Bad News is weakened outside the ring Spivey goes out there to pick him up and tosses him back in the ring Spivey says it is time for the helicopter spin but Bad News with a LOW BLOW! Spivey goes down to his knees Bad News gets up… grabs a chair… oh my… HE CRACKS SPIVEY ON THE SKULL WITH THE CHAIR! Spivey crumbles down… Bad News covers for the 3-count… {Bad News has won it… what a match… these two left it all out there… my gosh. The fans aren’t sure what they’ve seen. Bad News then removes his wrist tape… oh my… he had some kind of a steel band underneath his tape…. That’s why the low blow worked! Scott Hall then runs back out to the ring before Bad News attempts to hit Spivey with the chair again… Bad News smiles as he walks off… he took this to a whole new level… how can Spivey even respond?!}
Autistic Dragon
The RPM's steal one in the opener. Big Scot debuts with a win. An incredibly gutsy effort from Rotundo & Steiner can't overcome the sheer viciousness of the Nasties. Casey becomes just another victim of the mighty Kamala. You ask a good question, can anyone stop this monster? Budro & Idol nearly steal the tag titles but get caught with the evidence. Snuka refuses to back down in the face of Akbar's primal warriors. Garvin dodges defeat by a second. Idol brings in the Butcher to finish off Race but the legend is too resilient. Bad News gets clever to take down Spivey. But can he handle Hall entering the mix? Scarlet-Left
It's good to see Scott Hall getting a quick win here! Cracking debut! The Rockers versus Idol and Landel is a awesome match! I like the finish. Harley Race versus Abdullah the Butcher is another amazing match! I'm really happy to see Harley Race get the better of Idol and get a win here! A nice violent main event to close the show! Great tease with Scott Hall come out at the end!
spaldoni
Looks like WCPW is spending money wisely by upgrading. Things are looking good. Those sneaky RPMs pull one over, but this feud is far from over. Scott Hall makes an immediate splash! Well, Steiner and Rotunda put up the best fight they could, but thanks to the Grapplers, the Nasty Boys walk out the winners. Poor Scott Casey gets to make his debut against Kamala. Kamala is the monster he should be as he continues to mow over the competition. Red hot tag title match that burns the house down. Classic reverse decision allows the Rockers to keep the titles. If only Landel had kept his arm away from the Ref lol. Samoans get the win but if this leads to a Kamala/Snuka feud, hey, I'm all for it. I wonder what Rocky was thinking when Snuka wasn't there. Adams and Garvin battle to a thrilling draw. Adams was oh so close. "One more match"! "One more match"! WOW! Idol sure picked a good opponent for Race. None other than Abdullah the Butcher! Race overcomes it all by beating Abby at his own game. Idol's in trouble now. Spivey and Brown end the show with a wild, crazy and one hell of a match. Brown hits a loaded lowblow and that's bad news for Spivey. If Scott Hall is thinking about going after Brown, I hope he carefully thinks this through. WCPW is really coming together. It's been a blast so far. Keep up the great work.
