Windy City just hitting all cylinders. I am really enjoying what you are doing and building up to. Windy City is an easy read and enjoyable to keep up with. I like the bullet point style you are using.

The show was awesome like always. I loved seeing Butch Reed become Gateway Champ and then joining up with Harley Race lead faction. Awesome ending! I can’t wait to see Bam Bam get his revenge though.

Other news

Jake Roberts goes in depth on his issue with Jim Garvin and says that they are far from done. Jake points out how Precious may be the key to the puzzle but it isn’t something that DDT won’t fix!

Nasty Boys - Knobbs and Sags put over the tag division and then talk about being the true number one contenders. They hear that the Rockers get a shot next week and they’ll be watching to see just how it goes!

Blackjack Mulligan is calling out Kamala and Akbar’s army. He says he is willing to fight any kind of fight and put anything on the line to get to Akbar and put an end to Kamala!

Randy Savage w/ Elizabeth continues to get serious heat by running down the crowd and Elizabeth. He talks about Adams coming up short and since he didn’t win they both ended up with the same thing but Adams is the one with the busted eye. Savage says he’s going to bust the other eye when he gets a shot at him!

The Rockers - Marty and Shawn seem to have some edge to them tonight. They talk about getting the return match next week here on Windy City and they will take it to Orton and Slater and get back what is rightfully theirs!

The Untouchables… Jones says that it took a lot of planning and money to put together this group of individuals and now they are a unit and together they will take more control of Windy City. Orton and Slater put over the tag titles and say that what they started with the Rockers is going to end next week when they put the boots to them and finish them off for good! Reed then talks about the Gateway Championship and says that he isn’t afraid of any challengers here in Windy City and soon he and the Untouchables are going to run through these boys like a hot knife through butter! Race then finishes things off talking about how Bigelow bit off more than he could chew. He then says that Spivey and Hall took a bit but it won’t taste very good when they knock the rest of their teeth out. Race says that they are untouchable and no one will stop them!

In other news:

Jake Roberts - Jake is slow and methodical with his approach towards Jim Garvin and also Randy Savage for their match next week. Roberts says that he has faced adversity his entire life. He has traveled uphill both ways in the morning and in the night. This isn’t a fight he’s afraid of. This isn’t a fight he’ll run from. This is a fight he’s going to face head on and see if they have what it takes to survive!

Akbar ww Kamala & Savages - Akbar is putting over his Army and says that they have been disrespected since their arrival in Windy City.  Akbar says that first it will be Blackjack Mulligan and then an end will come to anyone else in their path.

Chris Adams - Chris Adams has a lot on his mind as he discusses the Gateway Championship. He talks about finding a way to get his chance at a rematch or even a shot at Harley Race! Adams says that Randy Savage is going to find out the hard way why the Gentlemen is just a moniker and not his every day attitude.

The Untouchables - Once again, the Untouchables put over their own agenda. Reed puts over his match with Rotundo.  And says that the title isn’t going anywhere. Orton and Slater discuss taking down the Rockers… then it is the Youngbloods… and then its the Rock N Roll Express! Race says that he and Blackjack Mulligan have a long history but just like the days of the past… Race has always been the one who came out on top and the future has already been written.

WCPW is on the air & it's already a hit!

Nice idea starting things fast with a Ware win.

Akbar's savages kill the mood & possibly the Battens.

Champion finds out the hard way there's a reason he's called Wild Bill.

Macho Man is definitely bringing the heat to IGN.

Hall & Spivey tossing people around got a great reaction i'm sure.

Reed mounts his first successful defense of the Gateway title.

On to week #2.

Rock n Roll start the night off hot.

Seeing one of the Moondogs in a Chicago Street Fight must've been a sight. Congratulations to Bigelow on retaining.

Rotundo vs Kabuki sounds like an entertaining contrast.

Garvin gets a big TV win.

Casey finally manages to defeat one of the monsters lurking around Chicago.

Jones pays dividends for his men as they retain the tag titles.

Major card coming to Bloomington & your promos throughout hype it up wonderfully. I especially like the prominence of the Untouchables.

Interesting format with the other news section of the report.  It helps to keep us up to date on the feuds in a nice time saving way..

The two cards at UIC were quality house shows with a nice balanced card with the main events being the major money makers.  To me, this show seems like you are on your way to a full promotion with TV, house shows and major events.

I really liked the TV format and back to back episodes. It showcases the stacked roster you've built up. Good job balancing out the shows with wrestling action and interview times. Everybody will get a chance to shine here.

Cool seeing Wild Bill get the win and extra heat with his bullrope.

Savage and Adams is becoming my favorite feud. Both of these guys are in top form.

Precious better not get in Jake's way.

Hall and Spivey are on the verge of something big.

Is there a tougher faction in this game than the Untouchables?

Rotunda's hard work pays off as he gets a shot at Reed.

The Untouchables might be the toughest group but Akbar's Army is a true monster faction.

Bam Bam is the perfect guy to hold the Street Fight title.

Scott Casey gets a HUGE win over Khan!

Damn! Look at that card in Bloomington.

Race vs. Mulligan...YES!

WCPW Presents: A Bad Night in Bloomington!  July 29 - Bloomington, Illinois - Civic Center

Scott Casey vs Bill Irwin

  • Big night in Bloomington starts with Speedy Scott Casey going up against Wild Bill
  • These guys get out of hand early and there are little to no rules being followed
  • The referee follows the crowds advice of LET THE FIGHT!
  • Bill takes control over the middle part of the match only for Casey to fight his way back with some big time right hands
  • The finish sees Wild Bill go for a back drop but Casey rolls over his back and then runs back up for a BULLDOG!
  • 1…2….3!!!
  • Speedy Scott Casey has won it and the crowd pops!

Scott Hall & Danny Spivey vs The Samoan Savages w/ Skandar Akbar

  • Another fun brawl to get things going as these two teams beat the living tar out of one another
  • Hall and Spivey don’t quite have the continuity of the Savages and of course Akbar is playing his role outside the ring
  • The Savages lose the size game but make up for it with them breaking every rule in the book
  • They double up on Spivey and wear him down only for him to fight back and make the huge tag to Hall
  • Big Scott comes in with some big time clotheslines and back drops
  • Chaos ensues as Spivey comes back in the ring and we’ve got all four men going at it
  • Skandar gets his cane and just destroys it over Scott Hall’s back leading to Tonga coming up with an absolutely disgusting Crescent Kick right to the throat
  • Tonga covers for the 3-count while Tama hits Spivey with a low blow!
  • Hall and Spivey take a big loss here… the Savages with a huge win - what could come of this?

GATEWAY CHAMPIONSHIP

Mike Rotundo vs Butch Reed w/ Paul Jones

  • First of our four title matches tonight and it doesn’t disappoint
  • Rotundo is still trying to find his footing here in Windy City and he brings a lot of bang for the buck
  • Rotundo has got every sense of athletic ability that it takes but it is Reed who has the edge that brings him to the top
  • Paul Jones help him every chance but Reed can do this on his own
  • The final moments see Rotundo go for a huge clothesline but Reed ducks… he then comes with a nasty flying shoulder block and Rotundo over sells like crazy and goes flying
  • The 3-count is all she wrote and Butch Reed continues to be a dominant force in Windy City Wrestling as the Gateway Champion!

The Rockers vs Dutch & Jaggers

  • The Rockers come out tonight in some leather coats and darker colors
  • The fans are still cheering them up as they take the fight to Jaggers and Dutch
  • This one goes about 12-minutes
  • There is some good heat on both Michaels and Jannetty but they come back no problem
  • The finish sees the two of them hit a nasty double superkick on Jaggers
  • Jannetty with a crossbody on Dutch and they go flying out of the ring
  • Michaels covers Jaggers for the 3-count and the Rockers are back in the Win Column
  • They don’t seem to be too pleased though…

Jake Roberts vs Randy Savage w/ Elizabeth

  • A BIG time contest with these two men who are at the top of their game right now
  • This one is a 20-minute time limit match and they go every ounce of it
  • Both men are just throwing bombs here but they do it in a way that makes even the smallest shots mean something
  • Savage is able to stall to get heat while Jake plays cat to Savage’s mouse
  • Jake is able to get the momentum going in his way and even gets close to the set up for the DDT but Savage ducks out
  • We see Savage set up Jake and hit him with a huge PILEDRIVER
  • Savage goes up top but he spends one moment too much celebrating and when he leaps for the elbow
  • JAKE MOVES!
  • Savage comes crashing down
  • This gives Jake the chance to come back and he hammers away
  • Jake then goes for the DDT but Savage ducks out again and they take the fight outside
  • The referee continues the count but the highlight is when Savage somehow get the advantage and he comes off the top rope with a double axe-handle smash!
  • Jake is hruting as the referee gets close… Elizabeth helps Savage in the ring and he serves as enough of a distraction for when Jake tries to get in… Jim Garvin runs down out of nowhere and rams him into the ringpost!
  • 8….9….10! Savage is the winner at the 19:30 mark of the contest!
  • Savage celebrates with Liz and you know it is just a matter of time before he has some gold around his waist!

The Rock N Roll Express vs The Nasty Boys

  • Another solid tag team encounter with the Rock n Roll Express looking AMAZING tonight
  • The fans are solidly behind them and chanting Rock n Roll every moment of the match
  • The Nasty Boys bring some big time blows and power to the contest but the speed of the RNR is more than they can handle
  • The finish is a huge double dropkick on Knobbs and then another on Sags and we get quick roll ups for the quick 3 counts and the Rock N Roll look like they’re ready for whatever Windy City has to throw at them!

WINDY CITY TAG CHAMPIONSHIP

The Renegade Warriors vs Dick Slater & Bob Orton w/ Paul Jones

  • A good showcase for Orton and Slater
  • The Renegade Warriors are good… but nowhere near the level that Orton and Slater are
  • The heels just control every moment of the contest and finish things off pretty easily
  • The spike piledriver on Mark is all she wrote and another solid defense for the Untouchables.

Chris Adams vs The Moondog

  • Chris Adams is back in action and he comes with a fire tonight
  • Moondog bites and claws but nothing too crazy
  • The Gentlemen is in complete control and looks like he has got big things planned for his future
  • The finish is a nice superkick and then the three count.
  • Adams is yelling for Savage… these two are going to have to come to blows soon!

CHICAGO STREET FIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

Bam Bam Bigelow vs Abdullah the Butcher

  • A nasty brawl between these two monsters
  • Butcher is bleeding early on and Bam Bam is having to fight back with every shot
  • We see a couple of weapons get involved including Abdullah’s fork
  • One of the big highlights is seeing Bam Bam hit Abby over the head with a broomstick breaking it in half!
  • The finish sees Bam Bam hit Abby with a huge powerslam on a chair for the 3-count!
  • Bammer continues to be on the rise but when will he find his way to Harley Race?!?

Koko Ware vs Jim Garvin w/ Precious

  • Another good outing for Jimmy Garvin who is putting together a legit resume here in Windy City
  • Koko isn’t a slouch though and he brings a lot of fire
  • Koko is bumping all over the place and he gives Garvin every ounce that he can handle
  • The finish sees Garvin duck a crossbody from Koko and pull the rope down that sends Koko flying
  • The referee continues the count while Garvin pulls him back before Precious comes over with the hair spray and sets Koko back!
  • The crowd is screaming at Precious who is soaking it all in
  • The referee gets to 10 - and Jim Garvin is the winner
  • Wait just a moment… he and Precious are celebrating but the revenge is here
  • JAKE ROBERTS runs down and he starts hammering away at Garvin with short lefts and then a running knee
  • He picks him up for the DDT but Garvin ducks down and rolls out of the ring!
  • Garvin and Precious run back up the aisle… Jake Roberts wants him and wants him bad!

WINDY CITY CHAMPIONSHIP

Blackjack Mulligan vs Harley Race w/ Paul Jones

  • A good main event with two big time names
  • Mulligan has got just enough left in him to make this something good
  • Harley is oozing star power and heat even in the twilight of his career - he’s got all the pieces of the machine working
  • Mulligan and Harley play all the cards with some brawling outside the ring and some good inside the ring work
  • Harley gets some major heat by working over the shoulder of Mulligan
  • Blackjack has to somehow find a way to fight back
  • We approach the 18-minute mark - both men tired - both men drenched
  • The finish sees Mulligan toss Race into the corner but now Paul Jones is up there… what’s he doing?
  • Mulligan goes over and grabs Jones and nails him with a huge right hand!
  • Race then comes with a double leg and picks up Mulligan - dropping him on the turnbuckle… wait the turnbuckle was off… it was just the steel!
  • Race covers… with his feet on the ropes for the 3-count!

{The Untouchables run down to the ring and celebrate with Harley… they are working the crowd and getting some serious heat but then we hear it… the pop of pops… here comes Bam Bam and he’s followed by Spivey and Hall! They are coming down to the ring while the officials and agents come out to stop them… when is this one going to happen?!?!}

Guys - kids have been sick and life has been crazy - I will get to feedback ASAP!

Great tag team action with a solid win for the Savages here!

Always happy to see Butch Reed doing well!

Intrigued by the Rockers!

Jake Roberts versus Randy Savage! This was always going to be good, and this one didn't disappoint! I'm also desperate to see the Macho Man gets some gold around his waist!

Lovely brutality with Bam Bam Bigelow and Abdullah the Butcher!

Jimmy Garvin having his cheap victory interrupted by Jake Roberts was pretty sweet!

Great end to the night here with a big confrontation on the horizon!

Episode 3 starts with a bang! Mulligan vs Kamala in a no DQ match on free TV. The monster claims an emphatic victory, who can stop him?

The Snake out-bites the Moondog.

K&K slay the Battens.

A solid win for the Pretty Young Thing.

The Express win the battle for Rock n Roll.

Knobbs & Saggs are too Nasty for the Southern Boys.

Bammer beats the Ace in a champion vs champion main event.

Savage with a grudge is bad news for everyone in WCPW.

Spivey & Hall are ready to take the fight to Akbar's Savages.

Garvin always talks the talk, let's see if he walks the walk in Batavia.

The Untouchables promise to fend off all their challengers & hold on to all their gold.

Episode 4 starts with the Macho Man besting a game Rotundo.

Reed bulldozes Bradley.

After a rough patch, Casey is starting to rack up the wins.

The Savages throw two more onto the pile.

Slater may be Unpredictable but there's only one outcome when Adams hits the Superkick.

Speaking of Adams he's got Savage on his mind. Can he focus long enough on Race to win the big one?

Akbar's got his monster a title shot. Can Bammer halt Kamala's path of destruction?

The Rockers seem to have a bone to pick with the Express.

I like that while most of the roster alternates between wrestling or cutting a promo, the Untouchables are on the mic every week. It really establishes them as THE group to keep an eye on.

Batavia is indeed in for a battle, more than one I'd say.

Casey has a nice win streak going.

Hall and Spivey have had some serious momentum going. Savages slow it down, with some help from Akbar.

Reed's look'n pretty good.

Hmmmm, a bit of an attitude change with the Rockers.

Savage vs. Jake! Bring it on! Of course these guys put on a classic until Jimmy Jam spoils it.

RnR put down the Nasties and will no doubt be looking for a title match.

Orton and Slater retain. So far, a great night for the Untouchables.

Adams gets tuned up for the Macho Man.

Getting a street fight win over Abby is a huge deal. Bam Bam is the future!

Precious helps Jimmy Jam get the win. But the DDT awaits.

Race and Mulligan prove they still have fuel in the tank. Race retains and the Untouchables go 4-0 tonight.

TV,

It looks like Mulligan's match with Race took a lot out of him as Kamala settles things.

I liked the showcases given to the many tag teams here.

One down as Bam Bam starts his quest towards Race.

Heavy promos hyping up the big event in Batavia.

Rotunda's struggling a bit but no shame losing to Savage.

Wow! Race better be ready because Adams is.

Kamala vs. Bam Bam! Monster vs. Beast! Can't wait!

Yes! Seeds planted for a Rockers vs. RnR dream match!

Exciting week! Bring on Batavia!

A lot of great angles going on here in Chicago.  It is interesting how we all have different ways to display our promotions.  You give us some cool match details and we get a great look into what is happening without the too many promos.  I wonder if you had to pay a little extra to Blackjack to take a powerslam on the concrete floor from Kamala.  That might be the reason he is retiring after this year.

  • 2 weeks later...

  • Stunning Scott Casey gets things going tonight
  • He is out in his jeans and white T as he rips it off ready for a battle
  • Kabuki gives him all her can handle but Casey is fighting with the passion of 1,000 fires
  • The finish sees Casey grab Kabuki with the STAMPEDE off the corner and then powerslam for the 3-count!!
  • The fans are solidly behind Scott Casey right now… how far can he go?

Firebreaker & Patriot vs The Nasty Boys

  • The two new masked men come out… wonder who they could be
  • They put up a fun fight for the Nasty Boys but nothing major
  • The finish sees the Nasty Boys take control and not let up
  • The finish sees a Gordbuster from Knobbs and then an elbow from Sags for the 3-count!
  • The Nasty Boys are continuing their climb but can they get back to the promise land?

Dick Murdoch vs The Moondog

  • Tricky Dick Murdoch makes his return to Chicago with a nice showcase here
  • The Moondog is able to get some offense in and generate a little bit of heat
  • The headbutt spot that shows the Moondog has the superior head hardiness is a great one
  • The head hardiness doesn’t stop a brainbuster and 3-count from Murdoch though!
  • Dicky is here… one has to wonder what his motives will be.

WINDY CITY TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

Orton & Slater vs the Rock N Roll Express

  • Big time tag team contest here for the titles and the crowd is white hot
  • This one is a 20-minute showdown with both teams showing their strengths
  • Undeniably, the Rock N Roll Express are one of  the top teams in the world right now and they showcase why
  • Orton and Slater work so well together and are smooth in their double teaming and blind tags
  • At about the 18-minute mark, we see a stir when the Rockers are shown walking down to the ring
  • The black jeans, black leather coats, (no shirts of course), and dark sunglasses send off an interesting vibe.
  • Around the same time it appears as though Slater and Orton are on the fall and the Rock N Roll are zeroing in on the tag titles
  • We see Ricky and Robert hit a couple of huge double clotheslines and then double dropkicks sending Slater and Orton out of the ring to the floor
  • Here is where it gets interesting… The Rockers are watching…
  • The Rock N Roll express walk out to Slater and Orton and work on getting them back in the ring
  • As they roll in… Paul Jones grabs the attention of the referee
  • On the other side of the ring, the Rockers grab Morton and Gibson and throw them into the ring posts!
  • They hit a double superkick on Robert Gibson and roll him in the ring to Slater and Orton
  • Orton and Slater hit a big spike piledriver for the 3-count
  • Outside the ring, Michaels and Jannetty just beat the living piss out of Ricky Morton and get some juice
  • Morton is bleeding like a stuck pig as the Rockers walk off as cocky as ever
  • The crowd is shocked right now….

The Renegade Warriors vs Sato & Fuchi

  • Good little showcase for the Renegades who take care of Sato and Fuchi with no problem
  • The Japanese contingent get some offense in but nothing too crazy
  • The finish is a double tomahawk chop on Fuchi and then 3-count!

Jake Roberts vs Conquistador

  • Jake Roberts is out here to a great ovation
  • He handles the conquistador with little to no issue
  • The DDT spells the end and he works the fans
  • We then see Savage and Garvin come out and they are circling the ring…
  • Finally they pounce and Roberts is having to fight the two of them off at a time but it isn’t working.
  • The crowd pops when Chris Adams come out and serves as backup
  • Adams and Roberts are handling their own here
  • They shake hands but then we see Savage come from behind and CLIP THE KNEE of Adams!
  • Garvin with a nasty shot on Jake who goes out of the ring to the floor
  • Savage then pulls Adams out of the ring and SLAMS his knee into the ringpost!
  • This looks terrible as Savage and Garvin go to the back with a lot of heat right now
  • Adams is in a bad way and he’s still got the title match tonight!

GATEWAY CHAMPIONSHIP

Koko Ware vs Butch Reed ©

  • Another good showing for Koko who just can’t seem to find his rhythm here in Windy City
  • He gives Reed every single ounce of what he can handle but the Natural is just too much
  • We see Paul Jones directing traffic out there and Reed is able to catch a high cross body from Koko and turn it into a nasty hot shot on the top rope!
  • Koko is hurting as Reed goes up top for a big shoulder block and the 3-count!
  • Reed has retained his Gateway Championship once again… who could be his next challenger?

{We get set up for the big showdown with Bam Bam and Kamala… the crowd is stirring as Bam Bam is in the ring waiting… then we see Kamala walk out with Akbar… just then Paul Jones walks out… he hands something to Akbar and the crowd is wondering what’s going on… Akbar then pulls Kamala back… they go into the backstage as Jones is laughing and pointing at Bam Bam… wait just a second… from behind… THE BARBARIAN!!!}

WINDY CITY STREET FIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

Bam Bam Bigelow v The Barbarian w/ Paul Jones

  • Barb attacks Bam Bam from behind and the crowd is going nuts
  • Paul Jones goes on to announce that he bought the title shot for Barbarian!
  • Barbarian is hammering down on Bigelow and then throws him outside the ring
  • Barb grabs a chair and just destroys Bigelow’s back!
  • Barb then throws him into the guardrail!
  • Bigelow is in a bad way as Jones grabs a trash can from the ringside area and gives it to Barb… he comes to nail Bigelow but Bam Bam kicks him in the gut!
  • Bigelow grabs the trash can and CRACKS Barb right in the skull!
  • The crowd is going wild as Bigelow throws him into the ring post!
  • Bam Bam then looks at Jones and comes after him
  • Barbarian comes back again and now he and Bigelow are throwing some major bombs in the aisleway!
  • They are fighting towards the back and then… out of the shadows… its Reed, Slater, and Orton!
  • They come out and it is a 4 on 1 on Bigelow
  • They drag him back in the middle of the ring and hit a SPIKE PILEDRIVER!
  • Reed picks him up and SHOULDER BREAKER!
  • Barbarian goes up top… DIVING HEADBUTT!
  • The referee… reluctantly…1……2……3!
  • We have a NEW Windy City Street Fight Champion!

{Jones and the Untouchables seemed to have added a new member and a new title. This is outrageous. The crowd is throwing some major debris at these guys as they soak it in and go to the back….}

TEXAS TORNADO MATCH

Scott Hall & Dan Spivey vs The Samoan Savages

  • Well Akbar wasn’t able to buy his way out of this one tonight
  • Hall and Spivey have got some serious firepower and with all four men in the ring it is all chaos
  • The Savages have really always been on the brink and at one point it was thought they’d take the next step but tonight Hall and Spivey are stopping any momentum they have had
  • These four brawl for about 13-minutes
  • The Savages get some heat on Hall only for Spivey to come back in a big way
  • The finish is pretty nasty… we see some big boots and clotheslines
  • Then Tonga gets tossed into the turnbuckle…
  • Spivey picks up Tama and hoists him up over his shoulders and runs to throw him over the top rope to the floor!
  • Hall and Spivey double powerbomb Tonga for the huge spot
  • 1…..2….3!
  • Hall and Spivey are the winners and I don’t know if the Savages will be able to recover!

WINDY CITY HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

Chris Adams vs Harley Race ©

  • It is time for the main event and boy o boy do we have one
  • The crowd is solidly behind Adams and they are even doing a “Let’s Go UK” chant!
  • If Harley Race had one more classic encounter in him… it was tonight
  • He and Adams go 23-minutes and you can tell that Race is on his last legs
  • Adams has the youth and experience to keep the match interesting and these all pros slow it down when it needs to and pick it up when they need to
  • Race gets an elongated heat segment on the knee of Adams which was torn apart earlier by Savage
  • The fans are just about to give out hope when Adams comes back with the passion of 1,000 fires.
  • He is firing back with rights… lefts… and then a nasty back elbow!
  • Adams is SO FIRED UP… he sets up and Race gets up and Adams with a SUPERKICK but Race ducks and nails a LARIAT!
  • Both men go down and fight their way back up and Race with a running high knee!
  • He picks up Adams and goes for the piledriver but Adams tosses him over his back
  • Race is slow to get back up and SUPERKICK OUT OF NOWHERE!
  • 1……2…..FOOT ON THE ROPE!
  • The crowd can’t believe it… Adams was that close
  • They both slowly wipe the sweat from their eyes… Adams goes for another superkick but Race moves out of the way…. Race hits the ropes and comes with a nasty HIGH KNEE
  • 1…..2….KICK OUT!
  • Adams pulls it out one more time…
  • Savage is coming out… wait a minute….
  • Race comves for a big lariat but Adams ducks and goes for a huge forearm but Race ducks and nails a nasty back suplex into a pin for the 1…2….3!!!
  • A little controversy here… looks like Adams may have gotten his arm up
  • The referee is consulting with Joe Pedicino and Mike McGuirk…

Mike McGuirk then makes the announcement… the winner… and STILL Windy City Champion… Harley Race! The crowd isn’t happy as Adams gets up… wait a minute… Savage then nails Adams and throws him out of the ring to the floor! Savage grabs Adams and throws him over the guardrail as security is holding him back… Race is standing in the ring with the title… wait a minute… oh my…. It is BAM BAM BIGELOW! He comes out with his forehead tapped up from earlier… Bigelow comes from behind of Race… turns him around and three big right hands before a clothesline sends him out of the ring to the floor! The crowd is going wild for Bam Bam who stands tall… perhaps busted up… definitely bruised… but not broken!

Jim Garvin & Randy Savage come out together. It is interesting that Liz and Precious are on the opposite ends of the spectrum and they don’t quite rub each other the right way. Savage and Garvin put over their issue with Roberts and Adams and how they will put an end to them in two weeks in Des Moines!

The Rockers put over their new attitude and issue with the Rock N Roll Express. They talk about them jumping over them in line for a title shot and how they are using their political stroke to get ahead!

Chris Adams is out to talk about how Harley Race was the better man last night but it doesn’t mean he always will be. Adams says that his mind has been elsewhere and that is with Randy Savage. In two weeks, in Des Moines, they will put and end to their issue and only one man will be left standing and he won’t be a macho man… he will be a gentleman!

The Untouchables finish the show with all the titles but a sour taste in their mouths. Butch Reed gets going by running down Dick Murdoch for interfering in the main event. He says that Murdoch will get what is coming to him! Paul Jones speaks for Barbarian who is welcoming any and all comers for the Street Fight Title! Orton and Slater talk about the tag team scene and how Spivey and Hall may have gotten an upperhand tonight but when the titles are on the line… anything can happen. Dick Murdoch vs Dick Slater

These guys brawl before we see the Untouchables come out and then here comes Spivey, Hall, & Bam Bam for the save!

The Rock N Roll Express come over after their match to let the fans know that the Rockers have stirred up a nest of hornets and it is time to get stung brother! Next week… Robert and Jannetty go one on one in Des Moines and Ricky will be right there to make sure Michaels stays in his place baby!

First we stop by Bratvia.

Casey has really turned his career in Chicago around. A win over Kabuki might just put him in title contention.

The Nastys continue their march to regain the tag titles.

Murdoch arrives with a win. Windy City is getting some serious wild west vibes.

The Rockers new attitude is cemented with a beatdown on the Rock n Roll Express leading to Slater & Orton retaining.

The Warriors are back on the winning track.

Roberts breezes past the Conquistador but Garvin & Savage show up to ruin the mood. Adams tries to do the right thing but it backfires terribly.

Koko was game but Reed was just too strong.

The Barbarian is a perfect fit with Jones & a great choice of the Chicago Street Fight champ. The Untouchables have all the gold!

Hall & Spivey defeat Akbar's Savages in a wild one. Could gold be in their future?

Race retains over Adams by the skin of his teeth but the Beast of the East is on his trail.

Onto the TV tapings.

Episode 5 had the beef between the Rockers & the Express heating up fast.

Garvin & Savage make for an interesting duo with the contrast between Precious & Liz being pretty stark.

The Untouchables have all the gold but that also means they've got all the focus on them.

Ep 6 has a main event I'd gladly pay to see, Murdoch vs Slater!

"He of many nicknames" Scott Casey is gunning for the Barbarian.

The Jayhawks/Warriors is gonna be fun.

The Untouchables have a hard night in Des Moines but I'm sure they've got a plan.

Oh man, things are amped up in Windy City!

Scott Casey is racking up wins just like he's racking up monikers.

I love the Jimmy Jam, Macho Man alliance. This will lead to some epic tag bouts against Jake and Adams. It's good to have friends here.

Barbarian arrives and immediately makes a splash with Paul Jones by beating Bigelow for the Street Fight title. As if the Untouchables weren't dominant enough LOL.

The Rockers vs. RnR is the dream feud everyone wants and it's going to happen!

Murdoch arrives and immediately gets into it with Reed. All I can say is Murdoch better have some back up.

Adams takes Harley to the limit but a little distraction from Savage enables Harley to retain.

I like seeing the Renegade Warriors feuding with the Jayhawks. This will be a fun feud both teams can thrive on.

Hall and Spivey have been on the push of a lifetime. They took down the Savages! That was huge.

I love your roster. Everybody has something to do and everything feels important.

Exciting stuff!

  • 2 weeks later...

Windy City Pro Wrestling Presents: Danger Zone

Live from the Civic Center in Des Moines, Iowa

Craig DeGeorge & Billy Robinson are ringside calling the action

Mike McGuirk is in the ring announcing

Let’s go to the ring!

Koko B Ware vs The Conquistador

  • Good opener
  • Koko is getting hot again here and he’s got the fans behind him
  • He works the fans while giving the Conquistador more than he can handle
  • The finish sees Koko come off the top with a huge dropkick to the mush and then the 3-count!

The Renegade Warriors vs The Kansas Jayhawks

  • The first time meeting of these two
  • There is definitely a racist vibe here with the Jayhawks and the Renegade Warriors
  • Dutch and Jaggers are great heels and work the fans so that the Warriors can build back up and get some shine
  • We see a lot of quick tags and cheap shots from the Jayhawks
  • The Warriors get a big hope spot and here comes Mark like a house of fire
  • The referee missed the tag though and now Dutch with something in his hand just WHALES Chris in the mouth
  • Jaggers covers him for the 3-count and the Jayhawks win a controversial one tonight.

Robert Gibson w/ Ricky Morton vs Marty Jannetty w/ Shawn Michaels

  • It can be seen that both Morton and Michaels are carrying some injuries
  • Inside the ring we see Gibson and Jannetty go for 16-solid minutes of great work
  • We see Ricky and Shawn both get involved here and there
  • It then blows up when Ricky comes over to stop Shawn from hitting Gibson but now they are going at it
  • The crowd is rocking… pun intended as we see Jannetty come out of the ring and join the fight
  • Robert Gibson and Jannetty start throwing some bombs and then go back inside
  • The referee tries to break them up and gets in Gibson’s way only for Jannetty to come out of nowhere with a big SUPERKICK and then the 3-count!
  • The Rockers found the upper hand and have put another W in the win column.
  • The Rock N Roll certainly won’t wait around for something like this to happen again.

Jake Roberts vs Jim Garvin w Precious

  • Big time contest here with two of the premiere athletes in Windy City
  • Jake Roberts is without question one of the hottest rising stars right now.
  • Garvin is an oozing hot heel and Precious is making him all the better
  • These guys go another 15-minutes and work the fans
  • Jake sells like his life is gasping for each individual breath
  • Garvin is a low down dirty scoundrel who pokes the eyes and takes the shortcuts
  • We get into the final moments when we see Garvin going for the hot shot suplex but Jake jumps over the back and then goes into a frenzy
  • A couple of huge short left jabs and then a short arm clothesline!
  • Jake runs for a big knee lift and then he makes the sign for the DDT!
  • Now Precious is up on the apron… what in the hell is she doing?
  • The referee has turned his attention… Garvin drops down and LOW BLOW!
  • Jake is hurt and now Garvin picks him up for the HOT SHOT SUPLEX and the 3-count!
  • Garvin is working the fans and spraying the perfume all over the place.
  • Jake is slow to his feet… Garvin continues to strut…
  • Wait a moment… Jake is up… he turns Garvin around and DDT!
  • Jake got the last laugh and Garvin is laid out cold in the middle of the ring!

We then see Steadfast Scott Casey out with Joe Pedicino…Joe is putting over how Casey has been on a huge rise as of late. The problem is that it brings out Khan and Kabuki. Casey rips his shirt off and is ready to throw down but Kabuki and Khan attack. They are wearing down Scott here until out of the back comes Wild Bill Irwin! He has got his bullrope and he is whipping and slapping Kabuki and Khan out of the way! Irwin and Casey wear these two guys out and send them packing! The crowd pops… Irwin and Casey shake hands… could this be something big on the horizon?

Chris Adams vs Randy Savage w/ Elizabeth

  • This one one that a lot of people have been waiting for
  • We get some nice entrances from both men
  • Elizabeth looks amazing at ringside… she has a sense of grace that Precious doesn’t seem to have
  • These two have a knock down 25-minute brawl with a little bit of everything
  • We get some Macho Man Memphis Stalling…
  • We get some brawling outside the ring and even into the fans
  • We get to see Chris Adams fly around the ring with some huge strikes and moves to get the fans to their feet
  • We see Randy Savage hit a huge double ax-handle smash from the top rope on Adams who is outside the ring
  • In the waning moments… Savage ones again goes for the double ax handle inside the ring off the top rope but Chris Adams catches him with a superkick that knocks him smack dab out!
  • The crowd explodes for the spot and Adams with the cover for the 1…..2…..3!
  • Adams has defeated Savage but something tells me this one may be far from over
  • The spot at the end brought the fans to their feet and Adams walks away with a lot of momentum while Savage walks away with his Elizabeth and some respect from the fans!

Mike McGuirk comes out to announce that Dick Murdoch will not be here to challenge Butch Reed tonight. This brings out Reed and Jones who work the fans and talk about Tricky Dick running off into the sunset to stop from getting his ass whooped. Reed then says he is going to challenge anyone… from anywhere… right here… right now.

We then hear a stir coming… wait a moment… from the aisleway… Joe Pedicino announces… here comes Mr. Wrestling II! Butch Reed is yelling no no no…. He and Wrestling II have a long history dating back to the Mid South days…

GATEWAY CHAMPIONSHIP

Mr. Wrestling II vs Butch Reed

  • Wrestling II jumps right in the ring and nails some big rights and lefts and he has got Reed rocking already!
  • Paul Jones tries to get involved but Wrestling II nails him with the patented running knee lift and he goes flying!
  • Reed gets back in the ring and he’s trying to get things going but the surprise of Wrestling II was more than he could handle right now
  • The bell has rung and we’re underway with this one
  • II continues to be on the offensive but then things slow down when Reed hits a nasty headbutt into the groin of II.
  • Reed slows down the action with some big time power and Wrestling II is now looking (old) and outmatched
  • This one is only about 8-minutes long but gives the fans a little pep in their step
  • The finish is a fun one with Reed going for the shoulder block but Wrestling II diving out of the way
  • II comes with some nice rights and lefts and backs up Reed into the corner before nailing a nice hip toss!
  • Wrestling II is coming for the running knee lift but Reed comes out of nowhere with a lariat that takes Wrestling II’s head off.
  • A sickening thud as Wrestling II hits the ground… Reed covers for the 3-count.
  • I hope that Pedicino paid him well because Wrestling II does not look healthy getting out of the ring right now.

MAIN EVENT
Bam Bam Bigelow, Dan Spivey, & Scott Hall vs Harley Race, Bob Orton, & Dick Slater

  • BIG TIME MAIN EVENT
  • It is the rising stars of Windy City taking on the Grizzled Veterans who have something left in the tank
  • Age vs Experience here… and the experience is what tells the tale.
  • Slater doesn’t seem to think he’s older than the guys on the other side of the ring and he lays in some huge shots
  • Spivey and Hall seem to be working on the same page and hit some really nice tag team moves
  • Harley Race sets the stage for his psychological work and does everything can to slow things down
  • Then we see Bam Bam come in… like a wrecking ball on fire… the crowd is going absolutely nuts for him right now
  • Bammer with some huge shots and now he is rocking on everyone
  • The Young Guns come with some big shots and now we’ve got all six-men in there and they splatter outside the ring
  • In the shadows… we see Barbarian and Reed coming out
  • Reed and Barb are able to take Spivey and Hall out of the contest while it is 3 on 1 on Bam Bam
  • It is 5 on 3 and nothing to be done but Bam Bam doesn’t seem to mind… he is bringing the fight every second
  • The wild finish sees Spivey and Hall break free from Reed and Barb
  • They jump back in the ring and get control of Race and Slater only for Orton to take on Bam Bam
  • Orton looks like he is going to finish Bam Bam off with a superplex but Bam Bam headbutts him off the ropes and he goes down.
  • Bigelow looks out to the crowd… oh my… MOONSAULT OFF THE TOP ROPE!
  • 1….2….3!!!
  • Bigelow, Spivey, and Hall all come away with a HUGE victory here tonight1
  • The crowd is going absolutely wild…
  • Bigelow has made his claim…. He’s coming for the Windy City title and there is nothing Race can do about it!

The Pretty Young Thing gets the crowd warmed up.

I like how you touch on the... questionable elements in a "Cowboy vs Indians" match. Feud should still be fun though.

Jannety takes advantage of the chaos ringside to take the surprise win.

Precious helps her man win but can't do anything as Roberts is the one standing tall.

Casey & Irwin could do big things together.

Adams wins in a instant classic that shows what both men are made of.

Mr Wrestling 2 provides both a nice pop & a fine feather in Reed's cap.

The Young Guns overcome the numbers to stake their claim as the future of WCPW.

The Kansas Jayhawks come out of their match with monster heat, I suspect!

Really nice way to build up the Rockers and the Rock 'n' Rolls here!

Loved the Jake Roberts win here! Great finish!

Chris Adams with a massive victory here! Wow!

This is a really solid performance for Butch Reed!

Big win for the young guys here that has to make a lot of people nervous!

Koko's always a solid choice to open things up.

Jayhawks get the tainted win but I'm sure the Warriors will be back.

I loved the Marty/Gibson match and how it furthered the RnR/Rockers feud. This has the potential to be a feud of the year candidate.

Jake and Jimmy Jam bring the heat. Precious really does her job well as Jimmy gets the win. More heat added as Jake gets in the DDT! This match had it all.

I think Windy City has a new team in the form of Casey and Irwin. Well put together.

Adams and Savage tear the house down. Big time finish. Awesome visual. Both men come out stronger than ever.

Nice surprise as Mr. Wrestling 2 comes out for one last shot at glory. He got his moments but Reed comes out looking like a beast.

Wild main event that gives the fans plenty of hard hitting action. The Youngsters pull it off! Bigelow looks like a superstar and Race better be ready.

Great event by Windy City Wrestling.

I always liked when tag team feuds use a singles match to move things along.  Smart booking here.

I also like the use of the Snake with that sudden strike of the DDT... Nice feud here.  These two are both awesome on the mic.  Would love a promo from them.

Bill Irwin as a babyface... Like it.

I love the use of Wrestling II to come out and face Reed.  I might have announced this earlier as any event were II comes out of retirement would sell some extra tickets if the fans knew about it.

AWESOME MAIN EVENT!!!

Great roster built in such a short time!
