spaldoni
Bam Bam could really shine here. He's off to a great start. We get some chaos in the first street fight tourney match that I'm sure will segue into a Sheepherders/Nasty Boys feud. Talk about crazy! After what went down in the AWA, Slater shows up with his old buddy Bob. I love this team! These tough guys will do some damage. Having battles with Bad News defiantly helped get Spivey ready for the tourney. He takes Khan down. Bees have a great showing but Idol and Landel are just to crafty. WOW! OMG and Mulligan tear it up! It takes Kamala, Savages and OMG to defeat Mulligan. Things calm down a bit as the Rockers retain against the RPMs. Jimmy Jam states his case but things take a wild turn as JAKE THE SNAKE shows up! What a surprise! This will be a cool and fresh program. All hell breaks loose between Spivey and OMG! Spivey gets the fire and it's all over. This tournament was craziness at its best. Fantastic idea! Night ends on a high note with Race holding his title high.

June 17 - Kankakee, Illinois - Civic Center Bam Bam Bigelow vs Kabuki Bam Bam gets us going again here tonight and my oh my is he getting over Kabuki knows his role and helps the youngster look great A little bit of heat on Bammer but he comes back with a rage The crowd is solidly behind him He nails a big powerslam Bam Bam up top with a diving headbutt 1…2….3! This guy is on fire… pun intended… what could be next? Lanny Poffo vs Jim Garvin w/ Precious Another good outing for Garvin who is white hot right now He gives Poffo a little more than he can handle The hot shot suplex into a brainbuster is all she wrote in this good one for Garvin Garvin then gets on the mic and proclaims that he isn’t afraid of no snakes and that if Jake Roberts tries to mess up his hair again… he is the one who’s going to be laid out! Ranger Ross vs Kamala w/ Akbar Kamala is also on a tear as of late and he beats the living shit out of Ranger Ross. Akbar is screaming out commands the entire time. Akbar gets the attention of the referee before Kamala picks up Ross and powerslams him over the ropes to the floor! There is an amazing visual… Kamala comes off the ring steps on Ross with a splash! The referee continues the count as Kamala gets back in and we see the count out victory for the Ugandan Giant! Akbar says that he has fought with Mulligan all over the country and now he is bringing the fight to Chicago and he says that this will be the end of the feud and the end of Blackjack Mulligan! WINDY CITY TAG TITLES The Rockers vs The Grapplers A decent enough tag team title match with the Rockers showing off in a huge way The Grapplers get some good offense in and they get some heat A lot of double teaming and quick tags on both ends The Grapplers go for a double suplex but Michaels flips over the top He and Jannetty then come back with double superkicks! Tandem pin for the 3-count and the Rockers retain… We get a big announcement that the winner for the following 20-man, 10-Tag Team battle royal will get a title match in two weeks against the Rockers. We then hear the announcements of the following teams. Spivey & Hall The Sheepherders Renegade Warriors Killer Bees New Breed The Nasty Boys Kansas Jayhawks Bob Orton & Dick Slater The Samoan Savages The Rock N Roll RPMs TAG TEAM BATTLE ROYAL Well… forearm fest 87 continues here tonight Some new teams on the block… the Renegade Warriors and the Kansas Jayhawks to begin with Early on we see the two huge feuds of Spivey & Hall v the Samoans along with the Nasties and Sheepherders break loose Early on we see the Rock N Roll RpMs fall to the Killer Bees and some double dropkicks! The Nasties and Sheepherders end up causing themselves this chance when all four men go over the top rope to the floor. Orton and Slater are able to stick together and they get rid of the Warriors The Jayhawks end up getting the best of the New Breed A big brawl between Spivey & Hall v The Samoans causes them both to get eliminated We come down to the Bees, Jayhawks, & Orton/Slater A lot of jarring between all six men when the final moments break down It is Slater and Orton who outsmart the others when they come up from behind of Blair and Mantel and toss them over the top to the floor. Slater and Orton with the victory and now they’ve got a chance at the titles in two weeks! CHICAGO STREET FIGHT Scott Casey vs The One Man Gang © Over the last couple of weeks Scott Casey really hasn’t hit his groove but he comes in with a different fire tonight. Gang comes out looking huge and nasty and this one gets going right from the bell Casey comes out in some cowboy boots and jeans and he is giving the Gang every single ounce of fight he can take We see a trash can from ringside brought in Gang just destroys Casey’s skull and Gang only ends up with a two count as Casey is fighting back! Casey, with blood flowing from his skull, screams and Gang sells it. Casey runs and fights with a huge forearm and then hits OMG with a dropkick sending him over the top to the floor! Casey then comes off the apron with a cross body but the Gang grabs him and then runs him into the post and powerslam! OMG covers outside the ring for the 3-count! Blackjack Mulligan comes in for a live interview with Spivey and Hall. Mulligan says that he’s spoken to officials… a contract has been signed with Akabr and his men… a six-man Blackjack Brawl! Come as you are. Bring what you want. Survive if we let you! We then see an elaborate entrance for the one and only Macho Man Randy Savage. He comes out to the pomp and circumstance that only he can. He is acting heel here. Elizabeth gets up on the apron and Savage screams at her to open the ropes. The fans didn’t like that and neither did Rocky Johnson. Rocky Johnson vs Randy Savage w/ Elizabeth Both of these guys work the “Memphis” style with Savage stalling just enough to get the crowd to pounce Johnson has still got a little shine and he’s able to work Savage up in a good way for the Macho Man to take control The fans begin to cheer for Rocky but the Macho Man is too much for him. Johnson then nails Savage with some shots to come back and hits a couple of rights and then a huge left and Savage goes outside the ring The referee backs off Johnson while Savage grabs Liz’ purse and puts something in his tights. Savage then gets up on the apron to taunt the fans but Johnson picks him up Savage nails him with the knucks in his tights! Both men go crashing down while Savage puts the knucks in his tights. Savage then picks up Johnson for a PILEDRIVER! Savage goes up top and hits the flying elbow and crashes right through Rocky’s heart! 1…..2…..3!!! The Macho Man has done it! Macho isn’t done yet though… he is yelling at Liz to hold the ropes and then he grabs her by the arm to pull her to the back. They walk past Craig DeGeorge who doesn’t look too happy. Craig then says we have a very special guest here tonight… Chris Adams!!! He cuts a promo with Craig DeGeorge in which he talks about the selfish treatment of people out here like Garvin and now Savage towards their women. Adams says that sometimes a man needs a slap in the mouth for putting their hands on a woman. This draws Savage back out and now Savage is calling out Adams. The crowd is stirring. Adams says that Savage is a good for nothing piece of trash if he thinks he can treat women the way he does! Savage then smiles and looks at the crowd before he SMACKS Adams in the mouth! This draws out the officials and agents. They are holding these two back from one another! This could break loose at any second! Savage is escorted back as Adams is screaming that he wants him in the ring! Jake Roberts vs Bill Dundee Dundee and Jake are in a tough spot here following that brawl Jake has got the momentum… he has got the crowd and by golly he’s got the skills Dundee gets a little heat but nothing too much as Jake is able to play the face in peril so well Jake then comes back with some short left hands and then a short arm clothesline! Dundee is slow to get up and here comes Jake for the DDT! The three count and JAke Roberts is without question ready for big things here in Windy City Joe Pedicino then announces that on July 1st… we will have a special event… it will be a special card from Northern Illinois University in Dekalb, Illinois… right on the NIU football field… it is AMERICAN MELTDOWN 87! MAIN EVENT Harley Race & Bam Bam vs Austin Idol & Buddy Landel Big time opportunity for Bammer here tonight and he makes due by wowing the crowd from the get go Bam Bam and Landel do a majority of the work while Idol and Race play their roles to a T as well This is a true coming out party for Bammer who looks like a million dollars when all is said and done Idol and Race hook up to bring the crowd to their feet and the fans are just pining for these two After about 13-minutes, we get to the final moments, which really show off the shine of Bam Bam Race plays the face in peril and makes a huge tag to the big man who comes in like a house of fire Idol and Landel both get clotheslined, backdropped, and then powerslammed! Race is back to his feet and all hell continues to break loose. All four men are in the ring and then we see Idol get clotheslined out of the ring to the floor by Bam Bam On the other side… Landel gets nailed with a HIGH KNEE from Race! Bam Bam is up top with a DIVING HEADBUTT! 1…..2….3!!! Bigelow pins Landel and we have a winner! The aftermath continues as Idol grabs a chair and nails Race and Bigelow in the back. Joe Pedicino tries to get in there along with some referees and this is pure chaos. Race then gets back to his feet with the belt and comes after Idol who jumps over the top rope to the floor! Race is being held back and now Landel comes from behind and these guys continue to brawl. We see the Renegade Warriors, Killer Bees, Grapplers, RPMs, and New Breed all come out to try and break things up a bit. Idol throws a chair at Race who then jumps out of the ring after him! Absolute mayhem right now. The wrestlers and referees finally get things settled before Race grabs a microphone… Race: Listen up Idol… you good for nothing piece of garbage… I have had enough to know I have had too much. This place isn’t big enough for the two of us… so I am proposing a match. American Meltdown. I will not only put my title on the line… but let’s say the loser has to leave Windy City Pro Wrestling for the rest of 1987! The crowd pops big for that one… Pedicino shakes his head… Idol is screaming that he’s going to retire Race… fans it looks like American Meltdown has its Main Event! We’ll see you on July 1st!! Autistic Dragon
I do believe there's big things in store for Bam Bam, Garvin sends a convincing message to Roberts. Welp, Ross is dead. Mulligan had better prepare for war. The Rockers mount a successful defense over the legendary Grapplers. Orton & Slater win forearm fest 87...er i mean the battle royal to earn a shot at the tag belts. Casey puts up a hell of a fight but OMG is still king of the Chicago Street Fight. Mulligan, Hall & Spivey vs Devastation Inc in a Blackjack Brawl? Bring it! Ya know, it's kind of incredible how much of Randy's presentation was based on how he treated Elizabeth. Adams lives up to his "gentlemen" moniker & sticks up for Liz, Unfortunately, Randy doesn't react well to people telling him how to handle his woman Roberts puts down the Superstar & is ready for Gorgeous Jimmy. Bigelow pulls double duty to team with the champ & it pays off with a huge main event win. WOW, what a card for American Meltdown! 11 huge matches capped off with a Loser Leaves Town for the top prize.
Scarlet-Left
Great start to the show with a win for Bam Bam Bigelow! Brutal win for Kamala! Loved it! Always nice to see the Rockers get a victory! Amazing tag team battle royal! I was rooting for the Killer Bees, but Dick Slater and Bob Orton sure do now look like a real threat to the champs! Great match between Rocky Johnson and Randy Savage! Jake Roberts looks really dominant here! I can't wait to see what's next for him! Great card set for the 1st! Spectacular main event! Great to see Harley Race and Bam Bam Bigelow get the win, and then we close on sheer chaos! That Loser Leaves Town match is going to epic! kevinmcfl
I enjoyed this show as we are starting to see some big feuds starting! Bam Bam is on fire... Garvin calling out Snake! spaldoni
Bam Bam gets the night going in a big way. Jimmy Jam gets the win and then gets the heat going with a promo on Jake. Damn, poor Ranger Ross. I'm a sucker for the Grapplers and was happy they gave the Rockers a solid match. YES! Orton and Slater win the battle royal and get a shot at the titles. Can't wait! Props to Scott Casey, the man came to fight. However, OMG is on a rampage and shows why he's the Chicago Street Fight Champ. Foreign object, mistreating Liz, yea Savage has immediate heat. Not only that, but he goes right into a feud with Adams. Macho Madness! OH YEA! With that showing against the Superstar, big things are coming for Jake. Look at that card for American Meltdown. My goodness! Big time main event! Bam Bam is getting the push of a lifetime. Race and Bam Bam get the win, but the fight continues! Race vs. Idol, loser leaves town! Bring it on! LowBlowPodcast
WCPW Presents: American Meltdown! July 1 - Dekalb, Illinois - Northern Illinois University Mike Rotundo vs Bill Irwin A good opener to get the fans going Irwin is a wildman out here with the bull rope He’s waving that thing around like crazy and fans begin to stir Rotundo plays it straight lace and the clash of styles doesn’t click too well They go about 9-minutes and get the crowd on their feet The finish see’s Rotundo duck a big lariat from Irwin and then catches him for a fisherman’s suplex and the 3-count! Rotundo works the crowd and he seems to be ready for his next steps here in Windy City! Rocky Johnson & Ranger Ross vs The Kansas Jayhawks Ross and Johnson once again team up and once again… just can’t seem to click Dutch and Jaggers are a very fun pair and work very well as a team Johnson and Ross just can’t get any momentum and Dutch and Jaggers take advantage. The finish sees Johnson arguing with the referee while the Jayhawks hit a spike piledriver for the 3-count! Johnson walks off…Ranger Ross is hurt… this team is in shambles while the Jayhawks looks great! Scott Casey vs Abdullah The Butcher Poor Scott Casey draws another monster… Abdullah… Scott Casey doesn’t look like he gives two shits though as he’s out here in jeans and cowboy boots and taped fists. Abdullah tears into the poor guy but Casey continues to bring it Abdullah finishes it off with a nasty chop right to the throat and then the 3-count! Abby continues to try and eat the ropes while Casey looks like he’s spitting up blood CHICAGO STREET FIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP Bam Bam Bigelow vs One Man Gang We now go to a big time match Street Fight Rules! Bam Bam and OMG get it going right from the outset with some huge shots This one is only 9-minutes but there’s weapons galore We see a trash can get bent to hell on OMG’s skull leading to an absolute gusher Gang gets control and nails Bammer with a chair that just destroys his skull and the chair is dented all to hell Gang then sets up two chairs facing one another and goes for a body slam but Bammer counters They take the fight outside the ring and when OMG slams Bammer on the floor the thud is absolutely sickening Gang throws Bammer back into the ring and starts to hammer away Gang is looking to finish but Bammer comes back Gang goes for a splash in the corner but Bam Bam with a cartwheel out of the way and Gang nails the turnbuckle Bam Bam then musters the strength and he BODYSLAMS GANG THROUGH THE CHAIRS! The crowd explodes as Bam Bam covers for the 1—--2—---3! We have got a new WINDY CITY STREET FIGHT CHAMPION! The Renegade Warriors vs The Rock N Roll RPMs The Renegade Warriors come out to a nice little cheer from the crowd The RpMs are trying to regain some momentum These two teams go about 8-minutes It is more of a showcase for the Renegade Warriors The finish is a double flying tomahawk chop Chris Youngblood with the 3-count and the Warriors have made their presence known! TAG TEAM STRAP MATCH The Sheepherders vs The Nasty Boys Another one of our marquee matches… both teams strapped together Butch and Knobbs while Luke and Saggs are tied together and what a wild brawl These guys go all over the ringside area and even into the crowd The straps but some unneeded weight on the match The jumbled mess shows off the brawling of both teams but not much else A miscommunication and then tied up Luke leads to Knobbs jumping off the middle rope with an elbow Butch is then covered for the 3-count and this one is (finally) over… Jake The Snake Roberts vs Jimmy Garvin w/ Precious Big time singles contest with two premiere names in wrestling Jimmy is without a doubt one of the top heels right now in Windy City and he has got the crowd in his hands Jake is the ultimate face in peril and sells like his life is indeed on the line. Jimmy works the neck and back of the Snake but Jake continues to fight back The fight is pretty even until precious gets involved with the hair spray The spray is just enough to get into Jake’s eyes before Garvin comes up from behind with a roll up and a hand full of tights for the 3-count! Garvin is acting like he won the world title… Jake is wiping his eyes… Garvin continues to celebrate until Jake comes from behind and pulls him around for a DDT! The crowd explodes as Jake continues to wipe his eyes This one is far from over… WINDY CITY TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP The Rockers vs Bob Orton & Dick Slater Big time title match These two teams blend together well The Rockers are supremely over and the heat from Orton and Slater lights up the crowd The double teaming of Orton and Slater is so much different than that of the Rockers Slater and Orton are maniacal… they pick the leg of Shawn Michaels and just wear it down On the flip side… the Rockers… when they get a chance… are slick and fast with all their movements They do the same move but together with a lot of flare and some big time momentum We see the toll of Orton and Slater’s double teaming pay off as Michaels is all but debilitated The finish is a big false hope spot Orton and Slater double up on Jannetty and break him down only for him to fight back Jannetty with a big flying clothesline on Orton! Both men going for their respective tags…. Jannetty is close but all of a sudden Orton pulls the referee TAG to Michaels who comes in ready to roll! The referee NEVER saw the tag….. Slater comes from behind and CHOP BLOCKS Michaels’ knee! Slater pops back in… grabs Jannetty… Orton… SPIKE PILEDRIVER! 1….2…..3!!! We have NEW WINDY CITY TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS!!! Orton and Slater… they celebrate… Michaels is hurt… Jannetty is in a bad way from that piledriver… BLACKJACK BRAWL Blackjack, Spivey, & Hall vs Kamala & The Samoan Savages w/ Akbar Well… here we go… Kamala and the Samoans are quite equipped for this kind of contest but have enough of a dangerous aura to keep it interesting Mulligan, Spivey, and Hall come out in jeans, boots, and chaps while the Samoans are dressed as usual This one goes about 12-minutes… back and forth… Lots of punching and kicking with some decent enough action The highlight is seeing the Samoans double up on Hall and drop him on the guardrail That leads to Spivey diving off the apron with a double clothesline Kamala and Mulligan end up fighting into the darkness of the crowd Spivey is in the ring with Tama and nails him with the helicopter spin and the 3-count! Once again… a good brawl but not great Spivey looked very strong while Hall showed off his selling skills. Chris Adams vs Randy Macho Man Savage w/ Elizabeth Another big time marquee match with two all pros These guys go 20 and are on the move the entire time The referee is counting nearfall after nearfall as both men try to one up the other. Savage tries to stall but Adams is on to his game and comes right out after him and brings the fight all over the ringside area. We get a long heat segment with Savage working over the neck of Adams The crowd is just about worn down but then Adams makes his comeback He has got a fire unlike any other here in Windy City He comes back with rights and lefts and a huge dropkick that sends Savage flying! Savage is screaming for Liz Adams goes after Savage again and nails a flying forearm Savage is looking for Liz as he gets to his feet… he stumbles up… Adams comes running with a SUPERKICK! Savage goes flying into Liz who goes down to the floor Adams looks to cover but Liz is down Adams walks over to the ropes and is yelling for someone to help her He has lost his focus but Savage is regaining his strength Adams turns around and Savage comes with a right hand and it is loaded Savage knocks Adams smackdab out…. He covers for the 3-count all the while shoving something down his tights Savage goes down and he’s walking to the back… all the while Liz is being helped by referees and Savage doesn’t even acknowledge her. The fans are absolutely irate Mike McGuirk: Ladies and gentlemen… It is now time for the Main Event of the Evening! The next match is scheduled for one fall with NO TIME LIMIT… THERE MUST BE A WINNER. This match is for the Windy City Heavyweight Championship! The loser of this mach must leave Windy City Wrestling and cannot return until 1988! Introducing first… he hails from Tampa, Florida. He is the former Windy City Heavyweight Champion… ladies and gentlemen… Austin Idol! His opponent… he is the reigning and defending Windy City Heavyweight Champion! He hails from Kansas City, Missouri…. Ladies and gentlemen… Harley Race! MAIN EVENT WINDY CITY HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP LOSER LEAVES WINDY CITY TILL 1988 Harley Race © vs Austin Idol Here we go with the biggest match in Windy City’s history… as these two have done before… they raise the bar one more time! All the stakes on the line… the title… leaving Windy City… it all comes to this These two are in the twilight of their careers but bring it one more time… For 18-minutes… they go tooth and nail. They battle inside and outside the ring Idol takes a clothesline and goes into the crowd! The referee doesn’t see when Idol comes back with a nasty shot from the ringbell that busts Harley above the eye… Back inside the ring… Idol is working over Harley’s neck. He is wearing the champion down The crowd begins to cheer for Race They are screaming his name and he comes back with a fire He is hammering away and then a huge back body drop! Race looks like he is going to put the finishing touches on Idol but then Buddy Landel comes running down! We haven’t seen him all night and now he pops up! Race then tosses the referee into the ropes and Idol NAILS the referee who is down! Landel jumps in the ring and goes after Race! Race is now fighting off both men! They irish whip him into the ropes but Race doubles the clothesline and comes back with a double clothesline! Landel gets up… Race runs with a high knee and Landel goes flying out of the ring to the floor! Idol runs but Race ducks and comes back with a left hand and knocks Idol into the ropes Race catches him for a PILEDRIVER! 1……2……3!!! Harley Race has won it! Race retains the title! Idol must leave until 1988! {We see some of the babyfaces run down and celebrate with Race…. But then Joe PEdicino gets in the ring and makes the announcement official that Idol must leave… but then he adds that Buddy Landel must ALSO leave Windy City Wrestling until 1988!!! The fans go wild! Security is escorting both men out of the ring! Now taking them out of the arena! rainmakerrtv
I always hated the result of their real life Wrestlemania 4 match and am glad to see Bam Bam go over OMG. Orton and Slater are a great rough & tumble team, it fits they would get the dirty title win from the Rockers. Huge news in the main event, Landel and Idol have been such a great duo that I am sad to see them go, but can't wait to see what you are going to bring in the second half of 1987. Awesome show! kevinmcfl
This show should serve notice to any of the lurkers who think about joining Dawn of War but never make that move. You have done an amazing job of building a roster that is second to none in such a short time. Put that together with your ability to put together some great, well-written matches that Windy City Wrestling has become a must read. Some of my favorite moments of the card include the bodyslam by Bigelow on OMG... WOW! The destruction of Scott Casey by Abbie! Snake and Gorgeous Jimmy just adding another round to their feud. Glad we will be seeing more of this one. I like the angle building with Savage and Liz. And Harley Race with the win. Despite his age, he is so believable as the champ! Great job. Autistic Dragon
Rotundo may have just tamed Wild Bill. The Jayhawks take advantage of Johnson & Ross' lack of chemistry to claim victory. Abby looks dominant while Casey's gone full "i don't give a f**k". Love it. Babber & OMG beat the shit outta each other! A memorable finish leads to a new champ. Akbar is gonna be so pissed. Glad to see the Youngblood's finding their footing. The Nasties win in a chaotic strap match. Garvin wins round 1 but Roberts is determined to fight on! The reign of the Rockers is over! Orton & Slater are ruling the roosts now. Spivey brings victory home in the Blackjack Brawl. Looking forward to seeing Mulligan & Kamala go 1-1. Adams does the right thing but it costs him the match. It's hard to be a Gentlemen in wrestling. The greatest rivalry in WCPW's history (so far) comes to a suitably dramatic conclusion. Budro tries to help his pal Idol one last time but not only does it fail miserably he gets HIMSELF booted out the door as well! Looking forward to the bis announcement next week. Scarlet-Left
Solid win here for the Kansas Jayhawks! Really interested to see where Rocky Johnson goes after this! Gruesome visual to end on with the Abdullah the Butcher match. Good stuff! Happy to see Bam Bam Bigelow pull off a win here! Nice to see Jimmy Garvin get some measure of comeuppance, after cheating Jake Roberts out of the win! I wanted the Rockers to hold on, but that was an amazing match nevertheless! Lots of twists and turns in that main event! I'm over-the-moon to see Harley Race retain the title! Neat finish!
spaldoni
Rotunda opens up with a win. Rotunda has a ton of potential here. Jayhawks look good tonight. I wonder if the Soul Man is going heel? I will say this, Scott Casey isn't afraid to fight. Abby will fit in well with the monsters in Windy City. I knew big things were in store for Bam Bam. He gets over big time by slamming OMG down and taking his title. I would pay top dollar to see a Bam Bam/Abby match. Good showcase for the Renegade Warriors. Nasty Boys take down the Sheepherders. This was sort of a passing of the torch match. Jimmy Jam gets the win but Jake hits the DDT for the last laugh. Orton/Slater and the Rockers put on a tag classic. I love the team of Slater and Orton, so I'm happy with the result. The Blackjack Brawl lived up to the name. Hall and Spivey are red hot with that win. Savage and Adams steal the show! Savage gets the tainted win and extra heat by ignoring a hurt Liz. Savage is on the verge of becoming the biggest heel in the game. Race and Idol has been one of the hottest feuds in the game. It all comes down to this. Even with Landel's interference, Race still gets the win and sends not only Idol packing but Landel as well. Great blow off! LowBlowPodcast
WCPW Presents: GATEWAY! July 15 - St. Louis, Missouri - Kiel Auditorium First Round Jake Roberts defeats Kabuki Good showcase for Roberts who gets a huge win over a very tough competitor Randy Savage defeats Koko Ware The Macho Man is on fire here with a huge win over Koko who comes close to the upset but falls short when Savage drops him across the top rope on his throat Chris Adams defeats Bill Irwin The Gentlemen looks focused tonight and hits a huge superkick on Irwin for the pinfall Bobby Jaggers defeats Blackjack Mulligan We see Kamala get involved here which causes Mulligan to get counted out and Jaggers to get the biggest win of his Windy City Career Scott Hall defeats Dutch Mantell Hall and Dutch put on a good little match but in the end, Big Scott is able to hit a Big Fallaways Slam for a Big win! Dan Spivey vs Abdullah DDQ An absolutely wild brawl that takes these guys all over the ringside area. Spivey and Abdullah don’t pay attention to the referee and end up brawling into the fans. Autistic Dragon
Roberts vs Kabuki is kick things off with a bang. Macho Man puts down a spirited Ware. The Gentlemen corrals Wild Bill. The Hangman gets the big upset win with a little help from Kamala. Hall advances with a solid win over Dirty Dutch. No surprise Abby is involved in a non-finish. Garvin puts down the firey Casey to move to round 2. Butch Reed & Paul Jones is quite the dangerous combination as Mike Rotundo finds out. The battle of Rock n Roll resumes with the Express again coming out on top. Reed builds on a strong first impression with a win over Hall. Savage's gets careless with the knucks & Adams gets the DQ win. Roberts fends off the Hangman to move into the semifinals. Garvin was all too eager to take that bye i'm sure. The Nasties are fighting their way back to the titles. Jones takes one for the team allowing Butch to make it to the finals. Adams overcomes a busted eye to claim his spot in the finals. The Warriors have settled in nicely. Butch Reed becomes the first ever Gateway champion on his first night in WCPW! A shocking turn by Race leads to WCPW's new top heel faction, The Untouchables! Race, Slater, Orton & Reed. All guided by Paul Jones. Thankfully it seems that there's already a resistance forming. Looking forward to WCPW's first TV show! spaldoni
In just a few months, Windy City has put together one money making roster. 1st round matches do a great job of putting the big names over. Butch Reed was a nice surprise as was his new manager, Paul Jones. As if the tag division wasn't stacked enough, in comes the RnR Express! 2nd round is a lot of fun. Hall gets his moments but Reed advances. More heat added to the Savage/Adams feud. Jake DDT's his way to the semis. And Jimmy Jam gets the heel bye. The new team of Champion and Thompson arrive, but unfortunately, they had to face the Nasty Boys. Here we go! Reed vs. Jake! Jones gets in his heat and Reed takes advantage to advance. Adams shocks old rival Jimmy Jam and backslides his way to the finals. Renegade Warriors get in their showcase and are quickly rising the ranks. Even though he lost, Adams comes out over more than ever. I have to admit, I'm looking forward to a heel Reed tearing it up here. WHAT!?!?!?! Harley turns on Bam Bam! WOW! Harley, Reed, Orton, Slater and Jones! They hold all the gold and they are UNTOUCHABLE! What an ending! Windy City has made its mark and is ready for TV! kevinmcfl
Windy City better have some money in reserve. That is one heck of a 17 match card with a whole lot of wrestlers looking to get paid. Nice to see Butch Reed get the title as a heel. We as writers have really pushed him to new heights and it is fun to see each of our interpretations of people we think should have been even bigger in real life. Paul Jones wishes he had an army like this in real life. That is one crazy good stable. Love it! Windy City has a very good roster and should control all the action from Chicago to St. Louis. Rumors are circulating that Pedicino is being backed by a supposed Nigerian businessman, Olu Oliami, who has offered to invest around $10 million into Windy City. We'll see how this ends up. kevinmcfl
Joe better be careful. Rumor has it that Olu Oliami is nothing more than a Nigerian scammer looking to get banking info from Windy City Wrestling.
