ErictheDragon Posted September 19 Report Posted September 19 Fall Brawl had a fun build and it more than lived up to it. Love the presentation you're giving Sid. Dominant in ring and scary as hell on the mic. Maybe Crush's alliance with Demolition will go better now that he doesn't have the stigma of being a replacement. No offense to Brad Armstrong but this Badstree sounds like an all together different kind of beast. Glad to see Worldwide return to the posts. Especially enjoying DDP hits from commentary.
LowBlowPodcast Posted September 26 Author Report Posted September 26 September 27th WCW Power Hour Tony Schiavone & Eric Bischoff Tony and Eric bring us in for a fun morning of action… we’ve got some good matches lines up plus a fun six-man for our main event… here we go! Ivan Koloff introduces his Russian Pitbulls to the crowd and lets them loose on a couple of jobbers. The Pitbulls are relentless and secure an easy win. Ivan says he has yet to unleash his greatest threat on Nikita, and when he does, it will be his end! Skinner continues to rebuild his reputation….he handles some dude with a mouth full of chew and the Gator Roll! Kendall Windham with a nice win… nothing flashy. The Z-Man gets a nice win with a top rope dropkick… he then points to his head likes he’s outsmarting someone… Johnny Ace with a win on his own accord… again nothing flashy but these guys are building. The Freebirds get a nice win with Badstreet and DDP at ringside…they have their shot at the Rockers come Halloween Havoc! Scott Hall gets a nice television win… but the moment that gets everyone talking is when Brian Pillman shows up in the aisleway… he offers his hand… Hall just walks off! WCW Top 10 stays unchanged this week WCW Champion - Lex Luger Sting Nikita Koloff - US Champion Scott Hall - TV Champion Ricky Steamboat Flyin Brian Sid Vicious The Great Muta Curt Hennig Rick Rude Z-Man In our main event - we see Brad Armstrong out here with his brother Scott and father Bob… they take on Savio Vega and the Boricuas… it is a fun six-man with everyone getting involved but it is Brad who gets the shine. He and Savio go blow for blow and when Bob and Scott get involved to take out Perez and Estrada… Brad ducks a spinning heel kick and then swoops up Savio and RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP and a roll up for the 3-count! The Armstrongs with a nice win and they make their names known….could be good stuff on the horizon for them. World Championship Wrestling Jim Ross & Tony Schiavone Ross and Tony bring us in for a big night of action… we hear about the big contest with Shawn Michaels taking on Jimmy Garvin! Plus we’re going to see Ivan Koloff and his Russian Pitbulls… Sting will be here… along with Owen Hart in action… fans it is a big night let’s go to the ring! El Gigante and Big Josh are in tag team action to kick us off… they continue to be a good tag team and Tony and JR wonder when they will get their shot at the US or World Tag Titles… Kama comes out with Lex Luger and Harley Race. He gets a clean win and then we hear from Luger and Race who discuss how Sting’s knee is as weak as his heart and he will be nowhere to be found tonight or at Halloween Havoc. The days are numbered for Sting and all the little Stingers out there… his treachery will be taken care of and his friendship will be forgotten! Owen Hart comes out with Davey Boy… he gets a good win… Doom comes out to threaten them but then Davey takes his arm out of the SLING! The crowd pops… the Bulldog is ready for a fight Doom and Teddy Long just smile and back up. Skinner gets an easy win… spits chew all over hell… gross Paul E Dangerously sturts out again, demanding that the Great Muta show himself and take his rightful place in the Dangerous Alliance. Instead, Ricky Steamboat came to the ring and told Paul E that Muta had once been a man of honor and pride, but Paul E’s poison had soured him. Steamboat declared that he wanted Muta at Halloween Havoc. Before he could say more, Rude and Hennig circled him, ready to pounce, when Muta suddenly stormed down to the ring. Steamboat stepped up and told him directly that he was here to challenge him, but Muta fired off a spinning heel kick to the throat that dropped Steamboat hard to the mat. As Steamboat rolled to the floor gasping, Paul E gleefully applauded Muta’s arrival, but Rude and Hennig looked less than thrilled. Then, in a shocking turn, Muta sprayed his mist — straight into Paul E’s face! Rude and Hennig rushed to their manager’s side as Muta slipped out of the ring and disappeared to the back, leaving Paul E overselling in agony, blinded and flustered, while his alliance looked shaken and divided. Ross and Schiavone put this over huge! Kendall Windham with a good win… picking up some steam. JJ Dillon is then shown… he says that he has got some news for the fans of WCW… first off… at Halloween Havoc… the Great Muta will face Ricky Steamboat! The other big news… WCW has just signed a deal… with one of the best color commentators in the entire world of professional wrestling… next he will be here… ladies and gentlemen… coming to WCW… BOBBY THE BRAIN HEENAN! This comes as huge news to the fans and Tony and JR put it over in a big way! Next week Bobby Heenan is going to be here… This leads right into our next segment…. Here comes Sting and he’s got Nikita Koloff next to him. Sting cuts a good promo about accepting Nikita back as his friend and ally… he knows that Nikita was poisioned by a viewpoint or an idea but he knows now where his loyalty lies! Nikita and Sting shake hands… and then put it out there… next week… Ivan… haha… bring the Pitbulls to the ring because we’re going to take care of this problem once and for all! Nikita and Sting make the challenge for next week… will Ivan accept? We then see Flyin Brian with a nice win… he says that he doesn’t need Scott Halls handshake… but he does want him as a partner… to take on Rick Rude and Curt Hennig! The ball is in his court now! Doom comes out for their tag team match and Teddy Long makes it known that he is going to have Doom destroy these Hart boys, take the US titles, and then he’s going to unleash Doom on the WCW tag champions, whoever they may be… and it will be their END! Ivan Koloff comes out with his Pitbulls and says he is happy to accept the challenge for next week… but know this Nikita… I know you’re weakest spots… and your friendship with Sting makes you weaker than ever before… we will triumph over that weakness and destroy you down to your core! Sid Vicious has a quick squash… he keeps asking where the Giant is? Where is the Giant? He says he is the only GIANT in WCW… he’s the MAN… the RULER OF THE WORLD! Sid is walking to the back… but then he comes stumbling back out… wait a second… Z-MAN and he’s got a steel chair! Sid stumbles up and Zenk with a huge shot to the back! Officials and agents come out and Sid shows the first signs of humanity thanks to a couple of vicious chairshots… pun intended! Our Main Event is one that has a lot of juice… the Freebirds and Rockers have been parallel to one another for a while now but they are about to run into one another and this is a good match to get it going. Michael Hayes and DDP are outside the ring… Jannetty, sporting some heavy tape, is on the other side of the ring cheering on his partner. This match goes about 12-minutes… back and forth but it is Michaels who gets shine and Garvin who plays a damn good heel still. Hayes is getting involved every chance he gets… and Jannetty has to play his role to keep him out of the contest. DDP now gets involved and this brings the crowd to their feet with Jannetty going over and popping him in the head! Hayes gets up on the apron and by golly Shawn Michaels comes with a superkick and sends him flying! Garvin comes for a DDT but Michaels counters through and then comes back with another SUPERKICK and Garvin goes down… HARD! 1…2….3! Shawn is the winner… wait a second… Badstreet… now appearing to be over 6’3” tall… he grabs Jannetty and throws him right into the ringpost! Michaels jumps out there and he’s pissed. He almost seems to not care that Marty got injured… or upset he isn’t getting the hype for the win… regardless… next week… it’s going to be a huge WCW as we kick off October and head to HALLOWEEN HAVOC! WCW WorldWide Eric Bichoff and Diamond Dallas Page Tonga Kid vs “Iron” Mike Jeffers Tonga ragdolls the jobber with chops and headbutts, finishing with the Samoan Drop. Finish: Springboard clothesline for the decisive victory. DDP line: “Brian’s got fire, I’ll give him that — but when he steps in the ring with Hennig or Rude, that fire’s getting snuffed out quick!” The Samoans (Samu & Fatu w/ Afa & Sika) vs Tim Parker & Jeff Warner The Samoans annihilate the jobbers with headbutts, slams, and double-teams. Finish: Double superkick → Fatu scores the pin. DDP line: “That’s what domination looks like, Bischoff — the Samoan dynasty runs this tag team scene!” Ricky Steamboat vs Nightmare Jones Nightmare controls early, but Steamboat’s heart fires him back into it. Finish: Flying crossbody gives Steamboat the win. DDP line: “Steamboat can flap his wings all he wants, but is going to clip ‘em for good!” Doom w/ Teddy Long defeated the Nasty Boys in a No DQ tag match Hard fought battle all over ringside... Nasty Boys made their final stand but Doom was too much! Finish: Ron Simmons hits Knobbs with a spinebuster but hammers him between two sitting chairs. DDP line: "Brother I don't think anyone wants to step in Doom's way... there's no way the Nasties are coming back from that beating!"
ErictheDragon Posted September 26 Report Posted September 26 Muta declares, in his own way, that he stands alone. Ivan brings in a pair of Pitbulls to sic on Nikita but Sting is willing to come to his former rivals aid. Michaels is starting to get a bit of a big head.
spaldoni Posted September 27 Report Posted September 27 Ivan brings in the Pitbulls, but can they match up to Nikita and Sting. I have a feeling Uncle Ivan has something up his sleeve. I wonder is this will a distraction for Sting as he heads into his long awaited title match with Luger. They might not like each other, but Pillman and Hall together could give the Dangerous Alliance some trouble The Armstrongs show what family unity is all about. Davey Boy is healed but Doom just might finish the job next time Wow, Muta wants to walk alone. He nails Steamboat and mists Paul E in the same segment. Now he'll have to contend with Rude and Hennig Damn! Bobby Heenan is coming! Sid wants the Giant but Z-Man is still looking for payback The Rockers/Freebirds feud is erupting but things are a bit off with Michaels Love the Worldwide format. It's fresh and always cool hearing DDP lines We're on the road to Halloween Havoc!
Control21 Posted September 28 Report Posted September 28 Looking forward to Halloween Havoc. The Rockers/Freebirds sounds like a tremendous feud, and Michaels always makes things interesting, especially if he has his eyes set on bigger things....

Josh covers for the win as the crowd cheers. DDP line: “Look at the size of that freak, Bischoff! The crowd pops when all three Samoans hit the ring for a triple headbutt spot. Finish: Samu hits the flying headbutt on Fox for the pin. DDP line: “Now THAT’S how you do a six-man, Bischoff! No pretty boys, no tassels — just headbutts and chaos. The Samoans are coming for those tag straps, and I pity whoever’s holding ‘em!” Owen Hart vs Butch Reed (w/ Teddy Long) — Disqualification Finish Great contrast of styles — Owen’s speed vs Reed’s brute power. Owen bumps and flies to make Reed look dominant early, but rallies with crisp dropkicks and a spinning heel kick that gets the crowd roaring. Teddy Long distracts the referee while Ron Simmons slides in and nails Owen with a clothesline, causing the DQ. Davey Boy Smith rushes down with his arm taped but ready for action! The crowd pops huge as he clears Doom out of the ring with a clothesline of his own. Owen and Davey stand tall, holding up the US Tag Titles as Teddy screams at ringside. DDP line: “Oh sure, they look real brave now, Bischoff! Let’s see how tough they are when they step in the ring at Halloween Havoc and have to face the power of Doom — no cheap saves, no disqualifications, just domination!”

Sting, Nikita & Steamboat come together to take down the evil Russians. Owen & Davey Boy regroup in time to drive off Doom.
spaldoni Posted October 12 Report Posted October 12 Halloween Havoc is being built up so well. Luger brought up some great points. He seems to be focused on his title match with Sting but Sting might be distracted with Nikita's enemies. Then again, Sting seemed more focus than ever on Luger after wiping out the Russians. Doom's interference helps the Samoans win the US titles. Doom better be ready for a fight at Havoc Steamboat cuts a fire breathing promo on Muta. This match is going to rock! I'm not sure if Zenk's plan of pissing of Sid is going to pay off. But hey, I guess it doesn't hurt to play some mind games Jim Powers is getting some eerie messages by a mysterious individual Bobby Heenan has arrived! Wow, Heenan, JR, DDP, Bischoff . Demolition vs Samoans (Tonga and Fatu) w/ Samu, Afa, and Sika at ringside… this one is a hard-hitting contest with all four men throwing some serious bombs. Samu actually swaps with Fatu at one point, and the Samoans are doing some trickery. The numbers game is getting out of hand and then the referee sees what’s going on… he calls for the bell and the DQ… Demolition retreat to the back… but then their music hits… wait a second… out of the back… THAT’S CRUSH…. BUT HE’S IN DEMOLITION GEAR AND FACE PAINT! OH MY! Heenan screams that they CLONED HIM! Crush leads Ax and Smash back otu to the ring and they get in there and throw some bombs with the Samoans and Samu, Fatu, and Tonga bump out of the ring. Afa and Sika try to get them under control… but the sides look to be even now… Crush looks to be in amazing shape… Scott Hall wins a simple showcase… Heenan and Ross put him over throughout the match and talk about his big contest at Havoc with Pillman. Flyin Brian comes out and he talks about the Dangerous Alliance… Brian puts over how excited they are to finally get their shot to take them on - on the biggest stage - Halloween Havoc…. Chicago… Pay Per View… BE THERE! Sid Vicious has a singles match where he kills two dudes by clotheslining their heads off… he then sets them up for a double chokeslam! Ricky Steamboat cuts a promo on Muta… he talks about respecting his ability in the ring but he doesn’t think he can beat him when it is a fair one on one match and he’s going to prove that at Halloween Havoc. We then see Muta… walk out… he walks right up to Steamboat… offers his hand? Steamboat looks out to the crowd… he puts his hand out but Muta pulls his hand back and slits his throat and puts his thumb down… points his finger at Steamboat… this is going to be something! We got to the back for Eric Bischoff and Jim Powers. They put over these weird signs he’s been seeing the last couple of weeks… then as they wrap up… a mysterious man comes… he gives Jim a letter… he is dressed in all black… Jim looks at the letter… visibly shaken… then walks off… Eric picks up the letter and reads…. You are invited to the funeral proceedings for Jim Powers, October 27, 1990, Chicago, Illinois. Halloween Havoc. Yours cordially, Paul Bearer. Sting vs the Barbarian is our main event… we get the usual shenanigans with Ivan coming out there and his Pitbulls but Nikita is able to thwart them. That is, until Barbarian jumps out of the ring and attacks Nikita. We get a count out… Sting is the winner… but the highlight is seeing Sting leap over the top rope and take out the Pitbulls. Sting and Nikita recoup… Luger is shown in the shadows… he gets Nikita next week or does Nikita get him… we’ll find out! WCW World Wide – October 19th The show opens with Bischoff welcoming fans to another wild weekend of WCW action as we sit just one week away from Halloween Havoc! DDP chimes in, saying “the air’s getting cold, the matches are gettin’ hotter, and somebody’s leavin’ Havoc in a body bag, baby!” Owen Hart and Davey Boy Smith get us started, looking sharp and fired up after losing the U.S. Tag Titles. The Bulldog’s shoulder is heavily taped, but he shows no hesitation tossing his opponent halfway across the ring with a press slam. Owen tags in, flies with a picture-perfect dropkick, and locks in a quick sharpshooter for the submission. The crowd gives them a strong ovation. DDP line: “Hey, I’ll give the Brit and the kid credit — they look good when nobody’s tryin’ to knock their teeth out. But at Havoc, Doom’s gonna turn those smiles into souvenirs!” We cut to footage from last week’s title switch as Bischoff runs down the chaos between Demolition, the Samoans, and Doom, before tossing it back ringside for more tag-team mayhem. The Freebirds hit the ring next with DDP in tow and the towering Badstreet stalking behind them. The trio oozes arrogance, strutting to “Badstreet USA.” The crowd gives them all the heat they can muster, but the ‘Birds drink it in like fine wine. Inside the ropes, it’s total control — quick tags, eye rakes, and a double DDT that sends the fans into a frenzy of boos. Badstreet tags in to finish things off with a massive chokeslam that shakes the ring. The ‘Birds dance over the bodies as DDP yells, “Tell the Rockers their luck runs out next Saturday night!” DDP line: “Those Rockers better bring extra hairspray, ’cause Badstreet’s gonna blow the roof off their little boy-band dream at Havoc!” Brad Armstrong continues to ride his recent momentum, taking the fight straight to his opponent with crisp dropkicks and that trademark Russian Leg Sweep. The crowd loves every bit of it as Brad scores the clean pin. DDP line: “Kid’s smoother than a fresh jar of peanut butter, Bischoff — but he better keep climbin’, ’cause smooth don’t cut it in the big leagues forever!” The Russian Pitbulls come out next with Ivan Koloff barking orders like a drill sergeant. The masked monsters maul their opposition from the opening bell, using vicious slams and tandem power moves that leave little doubt they’re a threat. Ivan grabs the mic afterward, snarling that his army will finish what the Barbarian starts at Halloween Havoc. DDP line: “Those boys don’t need a leash, they need an exorcist!” In the main event, Jim Powers gets perhaps the biggest win of his WCW career, outlasting Skinner in a gritty, physical match. Powers absorbs all the punishment Skinner can dish out, countering a Gator Roll into a quick inside cradle for the three-count. The crowd pops big for the upset. Skinner spits tobacco at him afterward, missing by a mile, and storms off. Powers stands tall, celebrating his win — but as he leaves the ring, a hush falls over the crowd. On the arena floor, a dark-clad figure slides something onto the apron… another RIP card. Powers freezes, staring at it. Bischoff’s voice cracks: “Who is that man? What does it mean?” DDP goes quiet for a beat, then mutters, “Bischoff… Halloween’s comin’, brother. And I got a feelin’ Jim Powers just got his invitation to the funeral.” The camera closes on Powers clutching the card, the crowd eerily silent as the show fades out.
ErictheDragon Posted Monday at 06:41 PM Report Posted Monday at 06:41 PM Nikita calls his shot and Halloween Havoc could be in for a major shakeup. Nice to see Crush get on brand. It's amazing how much Muta is contributing to his fued with Steamboat without saying a word. I got a bad feeling that Jim Powers is about to Rest in Peace.

WCW World Wide Erich Bischoff & DDP The show opens with Bischoff hyping the final week before Halloween Havoc 1990! He promises fans a preview of the chaos that’s coming to Chicago and throws to the first match. Brad Armstrong hits the ring first to a warm reaction. Smooth as ever, he keeps the pace fast with sharp dropkicks and those lightning arm drags that pop the crowd. His opponent gets in a couple of shots, but Brad turns the tide with a crisp Russian Leg Sweep for the three-count. DDP line: “Kid’s got more moves than a salesman at commission time, Bischoff — but he better watch his back, ‘cause nice guys don’t last long in this business.” We head to Skinner, who stomps to the ring spitting tobacco juice and glaring at the crowd. He takes control from the opening bell, roughing up the youngster with clubbing blows and choking him on the ropes. The finish comes when Skinner hooks a Gator Roll and spins it into a neckbreaker for the pin. DDP line: “That’s pure Florida swamp fightin’, baby — you can almost smell the Everglades from here!” Big Josh and El Gigante are next in tag-team action. Josh does the heavy lifting early, hammering both opponents with big chops, then tags in the Giant for the spectacle. Gigante boots one man over the top rope and scoops the other into a huge double-handed slam. Josh covers for the easy win as the crowd cheers. DDP line: “Seven-foot-seven and he moves like a dump truck on nitro, Bischoff! If these two ever figure out the playbook, every tag team in WCW’s in trouble.” The Russian Pitbulls hit the ring with Ivan Koloff barking orders. The masked brutes dominate — power slams, double shoulder blocks, and a nasty spike piledriver that leaves their opponents limp. After the bell, Ivan grabs the microphone, shouting that the Koloff Army will soon control all of WCW once the Barbarian finishes the job he started on Nikita. DDP line: “Those guys don’t wrestle, they maul — somebody call animal control!” Bischoff throws to the main event — a rematch that could reshape WCW: Nikita Koloff defending the vacant U.S. Title against The Barbarian! The tension’s thick from the opening lock-up. Nikita tries to out-power Barbarian, but Ivan Koloff and the Pitbulls lurk at ringside, shouting in Russian. Barbarian hammers away with clubs to the back and a huge suplex, nearly ending it early. Nikita fires up, hits a flying shoulder tackle, and sets for the Russian Sickle when Ivan hops on the apron. Nikita swings, misses, and Barbarian charges — Nikita ducks and Barbarian crashes into his own manager! Nikita connects with the Russian Sickle! The crowd explodes — but before he can cover, the Pitbulls storm the ring, attacking from behind! The referee immediately calls for the bell. Result: Nikita Koloff defeats The Barbarian via disqualification. The assault continues until Sting hits the ring with a chair, clearing house as fans erupt. Barbarian and the Pitbulls drag Ivan to safety, retreating up the aisle while Sting helps Nikita to his feet. Bischoff yells over the noise: “What a scene! Koloff’s still the U.S. Champion, but will he even be ready for Halloween Havoc?” DDP line: “If that’s the warm-up, Bischoff, Halloween night’s gonna be a massacre!” The show closes on Sting and Nikita standing tall, the crowd roaring as the Havoc logo flashes on screen.
