Marty's got a lot of anger going but is it enough to beat his ex-partner? This is one of those great things about fantasy booking - getting to see things you really never got to see in real life. Looking forward to this, though I have a feeling Marty is not going to like the outcome.

Weekend of October 17, 1991

Power Hour - Tony Schiavone & Jesse Ventura

We open up with Tony and Jesse going through the chaos from last weekend. We've got new WCW Tag Team Champions in Arn Anderson and Larry Zbyszko, Rick Steiner is out with a dislocated elbow, and Sid Vicious absolutely destroyed Lex Luger with a powerbomb on the floor! Jesse says he's got some major news concerning Halloween Havoc and the match Harley Race has been promising.

Jesse announces that the WCW Championship Committee has officially approved the CHAMBER OF HORRORS! This is going to be a massive steel cage surrounding the ring and ringside area. There will be coffins and all kinds of dangerous objects inside. All eight men will enter together and the first submission will end the match! No pinfalls, no disqualifications, no count-outs! Lex Luger, the Road Warriors, and El Gigante will face Sid Vicious, Meng, Abdullah the Butcher, and Cactus Jack! Jesse says he's never seen anything like this in WCW!

Harley Race comes out and he's smiling from ear to ear. He says Lex Luger made the biggest mistake of his career when he agreed to this match. Harley says he's spent months trying to end Luger's career and now WCW has given him the perfect opportunity to finish the job!

Ron Simmons defeated Skinner in a nice match. Simmons continues to move up the rankings and Jesse puts over how impressive he's been throughout 1991.

The Nasty Boys w/ Missy Hyatt defeated Kendall Windham & Johnny Ace. This was a pretty brutal match with Knobbs and Sags focusing on Kendall's arm. They're almost making a point of doing the same thing they did to Rick Steiner! Missy gets on the microphone afterward and says Scott Steiner can come looking for revenge all he wants... but he better remember what happened to his brother!

WAIT A SECOND... HERE COMES SCOTT STEINER! Scott comes out and he's absolutely furious! He's got a microphone and he says Rick is sitting at home with a dislocated elbow because of these two pieces of garbage! Scott says he's tired of hearing Missy run her mouth and he wants both of the Nasty Boys right now! Knobbs starts yelling back and tells Scott that if he wants a fight, he'll give him one!

Jesse Ventura gets between them and says we're not doing this right now! But he's got some news... ON WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING... SCOTT STEINER WILL FACE BRIAN KNOBBS! Missy doesn't look too happy about that one! Scott says he doesn't care which one of them gets in the ring... he's going to make them pay for what they did to Rick!

William Regal w/ Davey Boy Smith defeated Paul Diamond with a submission. Regal looks very good here and Davey Boy is applauding him from ringside. Jesse wonders if Regal can handle himself when things get a little more physical.

Flyin Brian defeated Bob Holly in a non-title match. This was a fun one with Holly getting some offense before Brian takes over and finishes him off. Johnny B Badd and Teddy Long come out afterward. Badd says Brian can fly all he wants but at Halloween Havoc he's going to come crashing down! Brian invites him into the ring right now but Teddy Long says his man isn't giving anything away for free!

Main Event - Ricky Steamboat & Dustin Rhodes vs Rick Rude & Scott Hall w/ Paul E

This is a big-time main event for Power Hour and the crowd is really into it. Steamboat and Rude go right after one another while Dustin and Hall are continuing their own personal war. Hall is throwing Dustin around but Dustin keeps coming back and he's getting under Hall's skin. Steamboat gets the hot tag and he's cleaning house! He catches Rude with a big chop and then takes Hall down with an arm drag! This one is getting good!

The big moment comes when Dustin and Hall spill outside the ring and Hall throws Dustin into the barricade! Steamboat goes over to help and Rude catches him from behind! Back inside, Hall gets Dustin up and hits the FALLAWAY SLAM! 1...2...3! The Dangerous Alliance gets another big victory! Paul E is celebrating like they've just won another championship!

Tony and Jesse put over the fact that the Dangerous Alliance has been on an absolute roll. They've got the World Tag Team Championships and now Rude and Hall have beaten two of WCW's top stars!

World Championship Wrestling - Jim Ross & Bobby Heenan

We open up with Jim Ross and Bobby Heenan and they've got some major news concerning the WCW International Championship! Ross announces that Genichiro Tenryu is no longer with World Championship Wrestling and because of that, the International Championship was declared vacant. Last night at a WCW house show, the Great Muta faced Masa Saito to determine a new champion! Let's take a look!

WCW International Championship - The Great Muta vs Masa Saito

We see footage from Friday night and these two are having a hard-hitting contest. Saito is throwing Muta around and trying to keep him grounded but Muta continues to fight back. Saito goes for a big suplex but Muta counters... GREEN MIST! Saito is blinded! Muta goes up top... MOONSAULT! 1...2...3!!! THE GREAT MUTA IS THE NEW INTERNATIONAL CHAMPION!

Back live, Muta comes out with Kensuke Sasuke and he's carrying the International Championship! Alexandra York comes out with Chono, Hase, and Saito and she is furious! York says that championship belongs to York International and Chono should have been the man competing for it! Jesse Ventura comes out and says he's got some news for Miss York... at Halloween Havoc, the Great Muta will defend the International Championship against MASA CHONO! Saito will be in Chono's corner and Sasuke will be in Muta's! The two men stare one another down and Muta raises the championship!

Vader defeated Stan Johnson in another brutal squash. Johnson tries to get some offense but Vader runs right through him! Vader hits a massive clothesline and then follows it up with the VADER BOMB! 1...2...3! Vader gets on the microphone afterward and says he's tired of beating guys who don't belong in the ring with him! He's in the WCW Top Ten and he wants some real competition!

The Patriot & Marcus Bagwell defeated Pat Tanaka & Paul Diamond in a fun tag team match. Bagwell gets caught in the wrong corner for a while before making the tag to the Patriot who comes in and cleans house! Bagwell eventually gets the pinfall and these two continue to look better every week.

Jim Ross announces that the Patriot and Marcus Bagwell have been named the number-one contenders to the WCW Tag Team Championship! This brings out Paul E with Arn Anderson and Larry Zbyszko! Arn says these two kids have been beating up nobodies for weeks and now they think they're ready for the Enforcers? Larry says they're going to learn what real professional wrestling looks like at Halloween Havoc! Ross makes it official... the Enforcers will defend the WCW Tag Team Championship against the Patriot and Marcus Bagwell!

Jushin Thunder Liger defeated Savio Vega in another exciting match. Liger is just on another level right now and he finishes Vega with a beautiful flying move. After the match, Hiro Hase comes out with Alexandra York and says he's tired of hearing about how great Liger is. He wants him at Halloween Havoc! Liger accepts and we've got another big match signed!

Jim Ross is standing by with the WCW Champion Sting! Ross asks him about the Undertaker and the strange footage we've been seeing over the last couple of weeks. Sting says he doesn't know what the Undertaker is building in that old wooden building and quite frankly he doesn't care! He says the Undertaker is big, he's dangerous, and he's earned his opportunity. But Sting says he's the WCW Champion for a reason! He says he's not going to spend the next two weeks hiding from the Deadman... he's going to spend them getting ready to beat him!

We then get another video of the Undertaker. He's back in that old wooden building and he's working on something. We can see pieces of wood being put together... nails being driven into the boards... but we still can't quite make out what he's building. Paul Bearer is standing in the background holding the urn. Nobody says a word.

Lex Luger defeated Mr. Hughes w/ Harley Race. Luger is still hurting from that powerbomb last weekend and Hughes goes right after his back. This is a pretty physical match but Luger eventually starts fighting back and catches Hughes with a big running forearm for the victory! Harley Race gets on the microphone afterward and says Lex better enjoy this one because Halloween Havoc is going to be the last night of his career! Sid Vicious comes out onto the entrance ramp and he's just smiling at Luger. Lex wants him to come down but Sid doesn't move. He just stands there laughing before heading to the back!

Johnny B Badd w/ Teddy Long defeated Van Hammer in a pretty interesting match. Hammer has the power advantage but Badd is using his speed and Teddy is doing everything he can to help his man. Hammer looks like he's going to put Badd away but Teddy distracts him and Badd catches him with the LEFT HOOK! 1...2...3! Badd gets the victory and Teddy says the Television Championship is coming home with them at Halloween Havoc!

We go to Jim Ross who is standing by with Marty Jannetty. Marty says he's been looking for Shawn Michaels for two weeks and he still doesn't understand what's going on. He says they were brothers... they traveled together... they won championships together... and now Shawn is attacking him every chance he gets! Marty says he wants Shawn to come out here and explain himself!

WAIT A SECOND... HERE COMES SHAWN MICHAELS!

Shawn comes out and he's got a microphone. He says Marty has been riding his coattails for years! He says everybody always talked about the Rockers like they were equals but Shawn was the one carrying that team! Marty says that's a bunch of bullshit and tells Shawn to get in the ring! Michaels laughs and says if Marty wants to fight him so badly... he'll see him at Halloween Havoc! Shawn says he's going to prove to everybody that Marty Jannetty was always the weak link! Marty tries to go after him but Michaels heads to the back! We've got another big match signed for Halloween Havoc!

Masa Chono & Hiro Hase w/ Alexandra York & Masa Saito defeated Bob Holly & Johnny Ace. Chono and Hase look tremendous here and they control most of the match. Chono finishes things off and afterward Alexandra York gets on the microphone. She says the Great Muta has stolen the International Championship from York International and at Halloween Havoc Chono is going to bring it back where it belongs! Chono takes the microphone and says very little... Muta... Halloween Havoc... that championship is mine!

Scott Steiner vs Brian Knobbs w/ Missy Hyatt & Jerry Sags

This one isn't going to be pretty and Jim Ross puts over that Scott Steiner has been waiting for this opportunity ever since the Nasty Boys attacked his brother! Knobbs comes out laughing with Missy and Sags but Scott doesn't wait around! He meets Knobbs in the aisle and starts throwing punches! The referee finally gets them into the ring and we've got ourselves a fight!

Knobbs tries to use his size and strength but Scott is throwing him all over the place! BIG BELLY-TO-BELLY SUPLEX! Knobbs rolls outside and Missy is screaming at him to get back in there! Sags tries to get involved but Scott catches him with a right hand! Back inside, Knobbs catches Scott coming through the ropes and starts hammering him down. He throws Scott shoulder-first into the ring post and now the Nasties are trying to take out another Steiner!

Scott fights back and hits a HUGE OVERHEAD SUPLEX! He's got Knobbs in trouble... WAIT A SECOND! SAGS IS IN THE RING! The referee calls for the bell! Scott Steiner wins by disqualification but now it's two-on-one! Knobbs and Sags are putting the boots to Scott! Missy is loving every second of this!

Scott manages to fight his way back to his feet and starts throwing punches at both men! Officials and agents come running down to separate them! Scott is still trying to get his hands on the Nasties as they retreat up the aisle! Jim Ross says this issue is nowhere near finished!

Main Event - The Enforcers w/ Paul E vs Davey Boy Smith & William Regal

This is a non-title match but it's a big one for the new WCW Tag Team Champions! Arn and Larry are working together like a well-oiled machine but Davey Boy and Regal aren't backing down! Regal is frustrating Larry with some technical wrestling and Davey Boy is throwing Arn around the ring! The crowd is getting behind Davey and Regal here!

Davey gets Arn up for the RUNNING POWERSLAM! WAIT A SECOND... Paul E is up on the apron! The referee goes over and Larry comes in from behind and nails Davey! Arn gets back to his feet... DDT! 1...2...3! THE ENFORCERS WIN!

Paul E is celebrating again and the Enforcers grab their championships! Wait a second... here come the Patriot and Marcus Bagwell! They stand on the entrance ramp and point toward the championships! Arn and Larry hold the belts up and tell them to come and get them! Jim Ross puts over the big championship match coming up at Halloween Havoc!

Main Event - Tony Schiavone & Eric Bischoff

Ron Simmons defeated Paul Diamond in a nice opening match. Simmons continues to look impressive and Tony puts over the fact that he's now ranked in the WCW Top Ten!

The Nasty Boys w/ Missy Hyatt defeated the State Patrol. The Nasties are still bragging about what happened to the Steiners and Missy says Scott should have learned his lesson on World Championship Wrestling!

Dustin Rhodes defeated Larry Zbyszko w/ Paul E after catching him with the bulldog! Scott Hall comes down during the match and tries to distract Dustin but it doesn't work! Hall charges into the ring afterward but Dustin gets out of there before Hall can get his hands on him!

Jushin Thunder Liger defeated Johnny Ace in another impressive match. Tony puts over that Liger will face Hiro Hase at Halloween Havoc!

Halloween Havoc Control Center - Eric Bischoff

We go to Eric Bischoff in the Halloween Havoc Control Center! Eric says we're just two weeks away from one of the biggest nights in WCW history! Halloween Havoc is coming October 31st and we've got something special planned! A 90-minute LIVE television special before the pay-per-view featuring SIX matches! This is going to be a fight from the opening bell! Hawk and Animal come out and they're not waiting around! They go right after Hughes and Meng and all four men are throwing punches! Harley Race is outside the ring screaming instructions but the Road Warriors are having none of it!

Hughes and Meng eventually get control of Hawk and they're working him over in their corner. Meng is throwing those hard chops and Hughes is using his size to keep Hawk down! Animal is going crazy on the apron trying to get into the match!

Hawk finally catches Hughes with a clothesline and makes the tag! HERE COMES ANIMAL! Animal is running through everybody! He catches Meng with a huge powerslam and then knocks Hughes off the apron! Hawk comes back in and the Road Warriors are looking for the DOOMSDAY DEVICE!

Weekend of October 24

Power Hour - Tony Schiavone & Jesse Ventura

A fun filled hour with some good squash matches and big developments as we move towards Halloween Havoc.

Tenzan makes his WCW debut under the guise of Masa Chono, Hase, Saito, and Alexandra York. It is announced that he has been brought in to take out Kensuke Sasuke!

Van Hammer hits the Hammer Rocks on Steve Wright for the 3-count!

Marcus Bagwell & The Patriot get a tag team win and look fresh going into their big match next weekend.

Boris Zhukov shows up out of nowhere and beats some guy named Mark Dixon

On his way to the back Boris bumps into Vader who’s coming out for his match… Vader removes the headdress to the delight of the crowd and looks like he might come to blows with Boris before officials come out.

The sad news for Phil Richards is that he has to face Vader after that and he just gets beaten the hell out of. Vader doesn’t appear to pull any punches and beats the shit out of him. A Powerbomb and then he goes to the corner for a VADER BOMB!

Main Event - Ricky Steamboat vs Arn Anderson - a solid 15-minute contest. They go almost the entire time limit. Larry Z comes out… then comes Dustin! This one breaks loose… Jesse hollers that we’ll see these four in a tag team match on WCW!

World Championship Wrestling - Jim Ross & Bobby Heenan

WCW opens with footage of the Undertaker in his wooden office… we see him sanding the wood…. Another clip… hammering the nails…. Another clip… putting on the latches… lastly… he goes over to the fire… pulls out a metal brand or something… and then he holds it up against the wood…. Smoke….fire… steam… the camera pans back… it isa  COFFIN… and on the front it says… “STING”

Marty Jannetty gets a nice win - we have an inset interview from Shawn Michaels who says there will be no tricks or treats at Halloween Havoc… just broken necks and cashed checks for the Heart Break Kid!

Ron Simmons gets a good win - Mr. Hughes and Harley Race are at ringside and watch on… Simmons with a nasty spinebuster gets the 3-count and then he looks out at Hughes and says he’s next!

El Gigante & The Road Warriors get a good six-man tag team win. The Road Warriors are still over but they are not what they once were. El Gigante is just a fun visual.

Cactus Jack, Abdullah, and Meng are in the back messing with a cage while Race and Sid put over the Chamber of Horrors! This will be a WAR!

Davey Boy Smith w/ William Regal gets a good win over Savio Vega. Davey and Regal shake hands… it looks like these two are going to be something moving forward.

Scott Steiner cuts a crazy promo on the Nasty Boys. He says he’s coming for blood at Halloween Havoc. If Rick can’t go… he’ll come by himself and get it done. Neither Nasty Boy is going to come out alive!

Johnny B Badd w/ Teddy Long gets a win while Flyin Brian chimes in and lets Badd know that he’s been punched before but never knocked out and Halloween Havoc will be no different… you can’t hit what you can’t touch and when I am flying around the ring you’re going to see double before I dropkick you in the face!

Chono & Hase w/ Tenzan, Saito, & York get a tag team win. These two are primed and in great shape.

We get a promo from Lex Luger with El Gigante and the Road Warriors… they talk about sacrifice and what the Chamber means… leaving everything in the ring and that’s exactly what they’re going to do!

MAIN EVENT
Dustin Rhodes & Ricky Steamboat vs Arn Anderson & Larry Z
What a fun tag team main event… there’s been a lot of talking tonight but this one is all about the wrestling and these four lay it all out. Paul E is nuts outside the ring as he keeps trying to get involved. Rude and Hall make their way out… and now here comes Patriot and Bagwell… before long it is an eight-man with everyone throwing bombs! Paul E pulls his men out and says at Halloween Havoc… there will bea  RECKONING!

Sting comes out to a great ovation. He’s in the ring with Jim Ross. They put over next week’s Halloween Havoc. Sting says that he’s admitted he’s afraid but the FEAR is what is going to drive him. He says that Undertaker is bigger… but Sting is faster and he will use his speed. Everyone says I am the Underdog… but he beat a big man to win the title and he’ll beat another big man to keep it. He’s the champion for a reason and next week at Halloween Havoc…. LIGHTS GO OUT!

The Undertaker’s music hits the PA System… the arena is black… then a light stars to shine… 6 men in hooded cloaks walk out and they are wheeling a casket… then they sit it upright… it’s the casket from earlier… the one with Sting’s name on it.

The crowd is in awe right now… the lights are dimmed to a point where you can still see Sting… he’s looking on… then the casket door opens and the UNDERTAKER IS INSIDE! He’s coming out… he’s coming for STING!

Main Event - Tony Schiavone & Eric Bischoff

Jushin Liger gets a fast paced win and flies around the ring.

The Nasty Boys w/ Missy Hyatt get a tag team win while making fun of the Steiners the whole time!

Muta & Sasuke team up for a fun match. Muta is a star in the making here.

Sid Vicious kills some guy and then powerbombs him out of the ring!

MAIN EVENT - Davey Boy Smith defeated Skinner ina  fun 8-minute match!

The familiar WCW Control Center music begins as the Halloween Havoc logo fills the screen. We cut to Eric Bischoff standing in front of a large Halloween Havoc backdrop.

ERIC BISCHOFF: "Hello again, everybody! Eric Bischoff here with your WCW Halloween Havoc Control Center! Wrestling fans, the wait is almost over! Next Saturday night, October 31st, World Championship Wrestling presents HALLOWEEN HAVOC, coming to you LIVE from the UTC Arena in Chattanooga, Tennessee!

"And ladies and gentlemen, this is going to be an extraordinary night of professional wrestling! We begin with a special ninety-minute presentation, absolutely FREE on television, before moving into three full hours of Halloween Havoc, exclusively on pay-per-view! Fifteen matches in all, featuring the greatest wrestling stars from around the world, five championship contests, and one of the most dangerous matches ever conceived!"

The Halloween Havoc logo gives way to a graphic of Sting and the Undertaker.

"Let's begin with the match everyone is talking about. The WCW World Heavyweight Championship will be on the line when the champion, Sting, puts his title up against the undefeated and seemingly unstoppable Undertaker, accompanied by the mysterious Paul Bearer!

"Wrestling fans, you've seen the disturbing footage over the past several weeks. You've watched the Undertaker constructing something behind closed doors, and now we know exactly what it is! A wooden coffin, bearing the name of the World Heavyweight Champion!

"Sting has admitted that he fears the Undertaker, but he says that fear will motivate him to victory. The champion believes his speed and determination can overcome the Undertaker's tremendous size and strength. But can Sting withstand the Tombstone? Can anyone stop this man? We will find out at Halloween Havoc when the most coveted championship in professional wrestling hangs in the balance!"

Graphic: RICKY STEAMBOAT vs. RICK RUDE.

"The WCW United States Heavyweight Championship will also be defended as the champion, Ricky 'The Dragon' Steamboat, meets 'Ravishing' Rick Rude, accompanied by Paul E. Dangerously!

"These two men have been on a collision course for weeks. Steamboat has proven himself one of the finest technical wrestlers in the sport, but Rick Rude is determined to bring the United States Championship into the Dangerous Alliance. And with Paul E. Dangerously lurking at ringside, the Dragon had better be prepared for anything!"

Graphic: THE GREAT MUTA vs. MASA CHONO.

"The WCW International Heavyweight Championship will be decided in a tremendous confrontation between two of Japan's premier wrestling stars! The new champion, The Great Muta, accompanied by Kensuke Sasuke, will defend against Masa Chono, accompanied by Masa Saito!

"These men know one another extremely well, and this championship has already become the center of a bitter international rivalry. Muta captured the vacant championship from Masa Saito, but Chono believes that title rightfully belongs to him. Two outstanding competitors, one prestigious championship, and a tremendous amount of national pride!"

Graphic: THE ENFORCERS vs. THE PATRIOT & MARCUS BAGWELL.

"The WCW World Tag Team Championship will be at stake when Arn Anderson and Larry Zbyszko, the Enforcers, accompanied by Paul E. Dangerously, defend against the exciting young combination of The Patriot and Marcus Alexander Bagwell!

"Patriot and Bagwell have earned this championship opportunity, and they have looked impressive in recent weeks. But they're stepping into the ring with two of the most experienced and dangerous competitors in World Championship Wrestling. The Enforcers have already taken the championships from the Steiner Brothers, and they have absolutely no intention of surrendering them to these young challengers!"

Graphic: FLYIN' BRIAN vs. JOHNNY B. BADD.

"And the WCW World Television Championship will be on the line when 'Flyin' Brian Pillman defends against Johnny B. Badd, accompanied by Teddy Long!

"Johnny B. Badd has promised that his devastating left hand will end Pillman's championship reign. But Flyin' Brian says you can't knock out what you can't catch! Will the tremendous speed and aerial ability of the champion overcome the punching power of Johnny B. Badd? That's another championship confrontation coming your way at Halloween Havoc!"

The screen fills with a steel cage graphic. The words CHAMBER OF HORRORS appear.

"Now, ladies and gentlemen, we come to a match unlike anything we've ever witnessed in World Championship Wrestling!

"THE CHAMBER OF HORRORS!

"On one side, Lex Luger, the Road Warriors, and El Gigante! On the other, Sid Vicious, Meng, Abdullah the Butcher, and Cactus Jack, accompanied by Harley Race!

"Eight men will enter an enormous steel enclosure surrounding the ring and ringside area! There will be no disqualifications, no count-outs, and no pinfalls! The only way to win is to force an opponent to submit!

"And wrestling fans, this is not an ordinary steel cage match. Coffins and weapons will be inside that enclosure, and all eight competitors will be fighting at the same time!

"Harley Race has promised a war, and Lex Luger and the Road Warriors have made it clear that they're prepared to sacrifice everything to settle this score! Eight men enter the Chamber of Horrors, but what condition will they be in when they leave?"

Graphic: THE STEINER BROTHERS vs. THE NASTY BOYS.

"One of the most personal rivalries in World Championship Wrestling will continue when Rick and Scott Steiner meet Brian Knobbs and Jerry Sags, the Nasty Boys, accompanied by Missy Hyatt!

"Now, we should point out that Rick Steiner has been recovering from a serious elbow injury, and questions remain about his condition heading into Halloween Havoc. Scott Steiner has made it perfectly clear that whether his brother is ready or not, he intends to get his hands on the Nasty Boys!

"These two teams have absolutely no love lost between them, and I expect this one to be a wild confrontation!"

Graphic: DUSTIN RHODES vs. SCOTT HALL.

"Dustin Rhodes will go one-on-one with Scott Hall, accompanied by Paul E. Dangerously!

"Scott Hall has become one of the most imposing members of the Dangerous Alliance, and he's already scored a significant victory over Dustin Rhodes in tag team competition. But the young Rhodes has refused to back down, and he'll have an opportunity to settle the score with Hall at Halloween Havoc!"

Graphic: MARTY JANNETTY vs. SHAWN MICHAELS.

"Former partners collide when Marty Jannetty meets Shawn Michaels!

"The breakup of the Rockers has become one of the most bitter personal situations in professional wrestling. Shawn Michaels has promised that Halloween Havoc will bring no tricks and no treats, only broken necks and cashed checks! Marty Jannetty, meanwhile, is determined to show that he was every bit as important to the Rockers' success as his former partner!

"Friendship has given way to bitterness, and these two men will finally settle their differences inside the squared circle!"

Graphic: RON SIMMONS vs. MR. HUGHES.

"Ron Simmons will meet Mr. Hughes, accompanied by Harley Race!

"Simmons has been on a tremendous roll, and he made his intentions clear this weekend when he looked directly at Mr. Hughes and told him that he was next! But Hughes is a massive, dangerous competitor, and with Harley Race in his corner, this will be a tremendous test for Ron Simmons!"

The Halloween Havoc logo returns.

"And don't forget, ladies and gentlemen, our special ninety-minute television presentation before the pay-per-view begins! Six outstanding matches, and you can see every one of them absolutely FREE!"

Graphic: BIG VAN VADER vs. BORIS ZHUKOV.

"First, the monstrous Big Van Vader meets Boris Zhukov!

"These two nearly came to blows this weekend after Zhukov crossed paths with Vader on his way to the ring! Officials had to intervene, and now the two big men will settle matters at Halloween Havoc! You certainly don't want to miss this confrontation!"

Graphic: JUSHIN THUNDER LIGER vs. HIRO HASE.

"International wrestling action continues as the spectacular Jushin Thunder Liger meets Hiro Hase, accompanied by Alexandra York!

"Two of Japan's finest athletes, both capable of extraordinary things inside the wrestling ring! This could very well be one of the most exciting contests of the entire evening!"

Graphic: KENSUKE SASUKE vs. HIROYOSHI TENZAN.

"And another international confrontation will feature Kensuke Sasuke against the newest arrival in World Championship Wrestling, Hiroyoshi Tenzan!

"Tenzan made his WCW debut this weekend, brought into the promotion by Masa Chono, Masa Saito, Hiro Hase, and Alexandra York for one purpose: to eliminate Kensuke Sasuke! Now he'll get his opportunity at Halloween Havoc!"

Graphic: DAVEY BOY SMITH & WILLIAM REGAL vs. PAUL DIAMOND & PAT TANAKA.

"Tag team action will feature the impressive combination of Davey Boy Smith and William Regal against Paul Diamond and Pat Tanaka!

"Smith and Regal have been developing into a formidable team, combining the tremendous power of Davey Boy Smith with the technical expertise of William Regal. They'll look to continue their winning ways next Saturday night!"

Graphic: VAN HAMMER vs. DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE.

"Also signed, the hard-hitting Van Hammer will meet Diamond Dallas Page!

"Van Hammer continues to impress with his tremendous power, but Diamond Dallas Page is determined to make a name for himself in World Championship Wrestling! Two very different personalities collide at Halloween Havoc!"

Graphic: THE MATCHES OF HALLOWEEN HAVOC.

"And finally, wrestling fans, let me remind you that this is an extraordinary night of professional wrestling! The World Heavyweight Championship, United States Championship, International Championship, World Tag Team Championship, and Television Championship will all be defended!

"Plus, the Chamber of Horrors, the Steiner Brothers against the Nasty Boys, Dustin Rhodes against Scott Hall, Marty Jannetty against Shawn Michaels, and Ron Simmons against Mr. Hughes!

"Fifteen matches! Ninety minutes of FREE television action followed by three hours LIVE on pay-per-view!

"SATURDAY NIGHT, OCTOBER 31ST! HALLOWEEN HAVOC!"

"Next Saturday night, there will be nowhere left to hide.

"For the Halloween Havoc Control Center, I'm Eric Bischoff. We'll see you at Halloween Havoc!"

The Halloween Havoc logo fills the screen as the Control Center music plays.

You sure do know how to promote a card. Excellent job

Sting vs. Taker is the match everybody always wanted IRL and now we're going to get it in our world. Love the build to this. Just having the eerie vignettes of Taker and the fired up promos from Sting was enough to make this a huge deal.

I agree with AD, is Dawn of War ready for the Chamber of Horrors? With the participants involved, this is going to be insane

The battle of the Rockers is another What if. And now we get to watch this play out

I always thought WCW should've done a lot more with the Diamond Stud. Cool seeing him get the push he deserved

It looks like Scott Steiner may have to fly solo at Havoc but he's so pissed that I don't think he cares

Tenyru leaving hurts but Muta and Chono are two guys that can go and will deliver

The Dangerous Alliance is on a roll. Can Rude keep that going by winning more gold.

Is Johnny B bad enough to put an end to Pillman's epic TV title reign

I'm not sure Boris knows what he's dealing with. It's VADER time!

We're in for an epic night of action on Halloween

World Championship Wrestling

October 31, 1991 — Halloween Havoc Pre-Show

Tony Schiavone & Jesse Ventura

We open WCW and the crowd is already fired up, and we've got a huge night ahead of us. Tony Schiavone welcomes everyone to World Championship Wrestling and reminds us that in just 90 minutes, Halloween Havoc will be coming to us LIVE on pay-per-view! Jesse Ventura says he's been around wrestling for a long time, but tonight might be the most dangerous night he's ever witnessed. We've got a Chamber of Horrors, we've got championships on the line, and we've got the Undertaker coming for Sting!

Tony says Sting has been the face of WCW, but tonight he faces something unlike anything he's ever encountered. Jesse says there's a difference between being a great wrestler and being able to survive the Undertaker. Tony doesn't like the sound of that, but Jesse says he's just telling the truth!

Ron Simmons vs Mr. Hughes w/ Harley Race

We open WCW with the All-American Ron Simmons. Harley Race looks sweaty… he's got a big night ahead of him. This one is a good, quick showcase. Mr. Hughes is able to bump around and Ron Simmons looks like a man on a mission. Hughes works him over to a point where he goes to the middle rope but Simmons gets up and counters a flying clothesline to a huge powerslam for the 3-count! Ron Simmons starts off this huge night with a big W!

Tony puts over the strength of Ron Simmons and says this young man is going to be a major player in WCW. Jesse says he's impressed, but Simmons had better enjoy the victory because Harley Race has bigger things to worry about tonight. Tony asks if Jesse is talking about Sid Vicious and the Chamber of Horrors. Jesse says he's talking about eight men locked inside a steel cage with coffins and weapons. Somebody might not walk out of that thing!

Eric Bischoff Interviews the Nasty Boys & Missy Hyatt

We go backstage where Eric Bischoff is standing with Brian Knobbs, Jerry Sags, and Missy Hyatt. Missy is all smiles as Bischoff asks about their upcoming confrontation with the Steiner Brothers.

Missy says she doesn't even know why they're talking about the Steiner Brothers because there aren't two Steiner Brothers anymore! Rick Steiner is sitting in a hospital somewhere with his arm all busted up, and tonight Scott Steiner is going to find out what happens when you mess with the Nasty Boys!

Knobbs laughs and says Rick Steiner isn't going to be here tonight! He's not coming to save his little brother! Sags says Scott Steiner has been running his mouth for weeks, but tonight he's going to be fighting two men who don't give a damn about rules, referees, or anybody's feelings!

Missy says when Halloween Havoc is over, Scott Steiner is going to be joining his brother in the hospital!

Bischoff asks whether they're concerned about Scott's threats of revenge. Knobbs gets right in his face and says Scott can bring whatever he's got because the Nasty Boys are going to finish what they started!

Van Hammer vs Diamond Dallas Page

This one doesn't have a lot of juice… Van Hammer as a project hasn't taken off while DDP continues to be a JTTS. Hammer works the crowd… DDP looks good in getting him over. The Hammer Rocks slingshot suplex is all that matters for the 3-count!

Tony says Van Hammer has all the physical tools, but Jesse isn't sold. Jesse says looking like a wrestler and being a wrestler are two different things. He's seen plenty of big guys come through the business who never amounted to anything. Tony says Hammer is still developing, and Jesse tells him to let him know when that development is finished!

Eric Bischoff Interviews Paul E. Dangerously & The Dangerous Alliance

Eric Bischoff is backstage with Paul E. Dangerously, and standing behind him are Rick Rude, Scott Hall, Arn Anderson, and Larry Zbyszko. Paul E. has that smug look on his face as Bischoff asks about the Dangerous Alliance and the challenges awaiting them tonight.

Paul E. says tonight isn't about challenges. Tonight is about capitalizing on the greatness that is the Dangerous Alliance!

He points toward Rick Rude and says tonight Ricky Steamboat goes down! The Dragon has been walking around with the United States Championship for far too long, and tonight Rick Rude is going to take it away from him!

He turns toward Scott Hall and says tonight Dustin Rhodes goes down! Dustin has been sticking his nose in Dangerous Alliance business, and tonight Scott Hall is going to teach that young punk a lesson he'll never forget!

Paul E. then stands between Arn Anderson and Larry Zbyszko. He says these two men are the WCW World Tag Team Champions for a reason. They're the Enforcers! They're the best tag team in professional wrestling, and tonight the Patriot and Marcus Bagwell are going to find out exactly why!

Paul E. looks directly into the camera.

"Tonight Ricky Steamboat goes down! Tonight Dustin Rhodes goes down! Tonight the World Tag Team Champions reign supreme! Tonight the Dangerous Alliance DOMINATES!"

Rude flexes behind him while Hall smiles. Arn and Larry look completely confident as Paul E. leads his men away.

Back at ringside, Tony says Paul E. has made some bold predictions. Jesse says those aren't predictions, Schiavone. That's a man who knows exactly what he's got!

William Regal & Davey Boy Smith vs Paul Diamond & Pat Tanaka

We see this team of Davey Boy and Regal work well with Diamond and Tanaka. The catch as catch can style - the Wiggen shooter style… Davey and Regal keep the match on the ground. The finish sees Davey Boy hit a powerslam on Diamond and then Regal with a stretch around the arm and neck… Diamond has to tap out… no choice!

Tony puts over the British combination and says they're developing into one of the toughest teams in WCW. Jesse agrees and says that's a dangerous combination. Davey Boy has the strength to throw just about anybody around, and Regal knows a hundred different ways to hurt somebody. Jesse says if these two stick together, the World Tag Team Champions had better start paying attention!

Eric Bischoff Interviews Flyin' Brian Pillman

Eric Bischoff is standing with the WCW World Television Champion, Flyin' Brian Pillman, who has the championship over his shoulder.

Bischoff asks Brian about Johnny B. Badd and the challenge he'll face later tonight.

Pillman says Johnny B. Badd is a tough opponent. He's athletic, he's dangerous, and he's got Teddy Long in his corner. Brian isn't overlooking any of that.

"But Eric, I've been facing tough challenges for ten months! Every time I walk into that ring, somebody wants to take this championship away from me. Every week it's somebody new. Every week somebody thinks they're going to be the guy who finally knocks Flyin' Brian off the top!"

Pillman pats the Television Championship.

"I've been doing this for ten months, and tonight is going to be no different! Johnny B. Badd can bring everything he's got. I'm going to bring everything I've got. And when it's over, this championship is coming home with me!"

Tony says that's the confidence of a champion. Jesse says confidence is fine, but Johnny B. Badd has a punch that can knock a man into next week. If Pillman gets careless, his ten-month run might come to a sudden end!

Vader vs Boris Zhukov

We all knew Vader was coming in here tonight to whoop some ass and that's exactly what he does to Boris. He beats the shit out of him in about 2-minutes. Then he sets him up and hits a Vader Moonsault to the delight of the crowd for the 3-count!

Tony can't believe what he's just witnessed! A man the size of Vader coming off the top rope with a moonsault! Jesse says that's 400 pounds coming down on somebody, and there isn't a wrestler alive who wants to be underneath that!

Tony reminds everyone that Vader has been making his presence felt throughout WCW. Jesse says the scary thing is that Vader hasn't even gotten started yet.

Eric Bischoff Interviews Lex Luger, El Gigante & The Road Warriors

We go backstage where Eric Bischoff is standing with Lex Luger, El Gigante, Hawk, and Animal. All four men are taped up and ready for a fight. Hawk is pacing around while Animal stands with his arms crossed. El Gigante towers over everyone, and Luger looks completely focused.

Bischoff asks about the Chamber of Horrors and whether anybody really knows what they're walking into.

Animal says nobody knows what to expect inside that cage. They've been in some of the toughest fights in wrestling, but this is something different. Eight men, steel surrounding the ring, coffins, weapons, and nowhere to run!

Hawk grabs the microphone.

"OOOOOH WHAT A RUSH! SID VICIOUS! ABDULLAH! MENG! CACTUS JACK! YOU BOYS THINK YOU'RE CRAZY? YOU AIN'T SEEN CRAZY YET! TONIGHT WE'RE COMING IN THERE TO KICK SOME ASS!"

El Gigante says very little. He looks into the camera and says Sid Vicious has nowhere to hide tonight.

Luger steps forward. He says for months Sid Vicious has been running his mouth, hiding behind Harley Race, and trying to prove he's the toughest man in WCW. Tonight there won't be anywhere to run. Tonight they're locked inside the Chamber of Horrors, and Luger is finally going to get his hands on Sid!

"And Sid, when I get you up in the Torture Rack, I'm not letting go! You hear me? I'm not letting go!"

Luger stares into the camera as Hawk and Animal shout behind him. Bischoff sends it back to ringside.

Tony says those four men are ready for war. Jesse says they had better be, because Sid Vicious, Meng, Abdullah the Butcher, and Cactus Jack aren't coming to Chattanooga to wrestle. They're coming to hurt somebody!

Eric Bischoff Interviews Shawn Michaels

Eric Bischoff is backstage with Shawn Michaels, who looks completely relaxed. He's got a smile on his face as Bischoff asks about tonight's match against Marty Jannetty.

Shawn says everybody keeps talking about the Rockers. Everybody wants to know what happened, why things fell apart, and whether he regrets anything.

"Eric, let me tell you something. The Rockers are finished! They're history! I came back to WCW because I was tired of being one-half of something. I was tired of carrying somebody else around and watching everybody talk about what a great team we were!"

Shawn says Marty Jannetty had his chance. They traveled together, they wrestled together, and they made a name together. But somewhere along the way, Shawn realized that Marty was holding him back.

"Tonight isn't about the Rockers. Tonight is about the end of Marty Jannetty!"

Bischoff asks Shawn what comes next if he defeats his former partner.

Shawn smiles.

"What comes next? Eric, the future for Shawn Michaels is bright. Maybe too bright for WCW! I'm the hottest thing in professional wrestling today, and tonight the whole world is going to see exactly why they call me the Heart Break Kid!"

Shawn walks away as Bischoff sends us back to Tony and Jesse.

Tony says Shawn Michaels has certainly changed since his days with the Rockers. Jesse says changed? He's finally figured out what everybody should have known a long time ago! Shawn Michaels is a star, and tonight Marty Jannetty is going to find out what happens when you stand in the way of one!

Kensuke Sasuke vs Hiroyoshi Tenzan w/ Alexandra York

Our final match of WCW has got some juice… Tenzan is unknown to the US crowd for all intents and purposes. Sasuke has been around. These two step into the middle of the ring and I can't speak Japanese, but F*CK YOU can be translated from any language. They throw bomb after bomb. They hit high impact moves on one another. Some unsafe to be honest. Some head and neck shots and both men are worn down. This one is about 10-minutes and it is hard to believe either man is able to walk away.

Tony says these two men are absolutely destroying each other! Jesse says that's what happens when you've got two men who don't care about anything except proving who's tougher!

We see Chono and Hase come out… but that brings out Liger and Muta! We're about to have it explode here. Tenzan is watching… here comes Sasuke with a BRIDGING GERMAN SUPLEX! 1…2….3!!! Sasuke with the win and the crowd pops.

Chono and Hase jump in the ring but here comes Muta and Liger. Nothing physical… but the stage is set for Halloween Havoc which starts in less than 5-minutes!

Tony is nearly shouting as the two sides stare one another down! Jesse says there's no love lost between these men, and tonight Muta is going to have to put that International Championship on the line against Masa Chono!

Tony reminds everyone that we're just moments away from Halloween Havoc LIVE on pay-per-view!

We've got Sting defending the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against the Undertaker! Ricky Steamboat defending the United States Championship against Rick Rude! The Great Muta defending the International Championship against Masa Chono! The Enforcers defending the World Tag Team Championship! Flyin' Brian Pillman defending the Television Championship! Shawn Michaels against Marty Jannetty! The Steiner Brothers and the Nasty Boys! Dustin Rhodes against Scott Hall!

And we're going to kick everything off with the CHAMBER OF HORRORS!

Jesse says he doesn't know what the hell is going to happen inside that cage, but he wouldn't miss it for anything!

Tony looks into the camera.

"Fans, you've seen the buildup! You've heard the challenges! Now it's time to settle it inside the ring! Halloween Havoc is NEXT!"

WE FADE TO BLACK!

October 31, 1991 — UTC Arena — Chattanooga, Tennessee

OPENING VIDEO PACKAGE

*We open with a black screen. We hear the sound of a hammer hitting a nail. Once… twice… three times. Then we see the Undertaker in the workshop. He's working on the coffin. We see the wood being sanded, the hinges being attached, and finally the branding iron being pressed into the wood. STING. The camera holds on the name as smoke rises from the wood.*

*We then hear Jim Ross from last week's World Championship Wrestling… "HE'S COMING OUT! HE'S COMING FOR STING!"*

*The music picks up and we see highlights of the last several months. Lex Luger and Sid Vicious beating the hell out of one another! The Road Warriors fighting Abdullah and Cactus Jack! Rick Steiner being injured by the Nasty Boys! Scott Hall and Dustin Rhodes going at it! Rick Rude standing over Ricky Steamboat! Muta and Chono! Pillman flying through the air! Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty!*

*Then everything goes quiet.*

*We see Sting holding the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. The camera cuts to the Undertaker standing in the darkness. Paul Bearer is behind him with the urn.*

*Sting says he's afraid of the Undertaker, but fear is what makes him dangerous.*

*The Undertaker slowly raises his hand toward the camera.*

*HALLOWEEN HAVOC 1991!*

LIVE FROM CHATTANOOGA!

*The cameras open inside the UTC Arena and the place is absolutely rocking! We've got thousands of fans on their feet, Halloween Havoc banners hanging around the arena, and the Chamber of Horrors waiting above the ring! The camera pans across the crowd before coming down to ringside where Jim Ross and Bobby Heenan are standing by!*

Jim Ross: "LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, WELCOME TO HALLOWEEN HAVOC! WE ARE LIVE FROM CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE! I'm Jim Ross alongside Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan, and tonight we may witness one of the most important nights in the history of World Championship Wrestling!"

Bobby Heenan: "Ross, I've been around this business a long time. I've seen some of the toughest men in the world. I've seen champions come and go. But I've never seen anything quite like what we're about to witness tonight!"

Ross: "Five championships will be decided, personal rivalries will come to a head, and we're starting tonight with eight of the toughest men in WCW locked inside the Chamber of Horrors! But Brain, the question everybody wants answered… can Sting survive the Undertaker?"

Heenan: "You want my answer? No! I've watched that man for weeks, Ross. I've watched him build that coffin. I've watched him stand there without saying a word. And I don't think Sting has any idea what he's gotten himself into!"

Ross: "Sting has been the fighting World Heavyweight Champion, but tonight he's facing a man unlike anybody he's ever wrestled. They've never touched, Brain! Not once! Tonight, for the first time, the Stinger and the Undertaker will stand across the ring from one another with the World Heavyweight Championship at stake!"

Heenan: "And when it's over, Ross, somebody might be leaving this building in that coffin!"

*Ross shakes his head as we go to the ring. The Chamber of Horrors is about to begin!*

CHAMBER OF HORRORS — Lex Luger, Road Warriors, & El Gigante vs Sid Vicious, Meng, Abdullah the Butcher, & Cactus Jack w/ Harley Race

Here we go! The Chamber of Horrors hangs above the ring and this thing is absolutely insane! We've got coffins, chairs, weapons, and eight men who are looking to kill one another! Harley Race is outside the cage barking orders as Sid Vicious leads his men into the Chamber. The Road Warriors come out first and they are ready for war! El Gigante follows and then Lex Luger comes out to a HUGE POP! Luger has been waiting months to get his hands on Sid and tonight there is nowhere for either man to run! The eight men enter the structure, the cage is lowered and secured, and the referee calls for the bell!

The bell rings and all eight men start throwing punches! Hawk and Animal go right after Abdullah and Cactus Jack while El Gigante and Meng start exchanging some serious shots! Luger goes right after Sid and these two are beating the hell out of one another! Sid gets the better of him early and throws Luger into the steel cage! Luger comes back and rams Sid into the side of a coffin! This thing is completely out of control!

Abdullah has a fork and he's going after Animal! Cactus Jack is climbing the cage and comes off with a huge elbow onto Hawk! Meng and El Gigante are throwing some serious bombs while Sid gets a chair and absolutely NAILS Luger across the back! Ross is losing his mind and Heenan says this isn't wrestling anymore… this is survival!

We're about 15-minutes into this thing and everybody is hurting. Hawk and Animal have managed to take Abdullah and Cactus out of the equation for a moment. Sid goes for another powerbomb on Luger but Luger fights out and sends Sid crashing into one of the coffins! Sid falls inside and El Gigante comes over and SLAMS THE LID SHUT! Sid is trying to get out but Gigante is holding the coffin closed! Harley Race is screaming outside the cage!

Meng comes over to help but Luger catches him! TORTURE RACK! LUGER HAS MENG UP IN THE TORTURE RACK! Meng is fighting it… Sid is trying to break out of the coffin… Cactus and Abdullah are trying to get through the Road Warriors! MENG SUBMITS! MENG SUBMITS! The bell rings and the crowd goes absolutely nuts!

Lex Luger, the Road Warriors, and El Gigante have survived the Chamber of Horrors! Sid is finally able to get out of the coffin and he is LIVID! Harley Race is screaming at everybody while Luger and his team stand in the middle of the ring. They've won the battle tonight but you can tell this thing between Luger and Sid is far from over!

The cage is finally being raised above the ring and officials are trying to get everything cleaned up. Luger, the Road Warriors, and El Gigante have survived, but Sid Vicious is absolutely furious! Harley Race is trying to calm him down as Sid kicks one of the coffins and shoves an official out of his way.

Ross: "WHAT A WAY TO START HALLOWEEN HAVOC! Lex Luger has finally gotten some measure of revenge against Sid Vicious!"

Heenan: "Measure of revenge? Ross, Sid Vicious was trapped inside a coffin! He never submitted! He never quit! Meng was the man who gave up, and you can bet Sid isn't going to forget what happened here tonight!"

Ross: "Well, the record books will show that Lex Luger, the Road Warriors, and El Gigante won the Chamber of Horrors! But I'll agree with you on one thing, Brain. This isn't over!"

Heenan: "And if that's how we're starting the night, I don't even want to think about how we're going to finish it!"

Ross reminds everyone that the World Heavyweight Championship will be decided later tonight. Sting against the Undertaker! Heenan says if the Undertaker has been watching what just happened inside that Chamber, he probably enjoyed every second of it.

Jushin Liger vs Hase w/ Alexandra York

*After the chaos of the previous match, this one takes it to a different level. Hase and Jushin Liger take 11-minutes to fly all around the ring. Liger looks amazing and Hase is able to take him to the next level. Both men get in some offense but the finish sees Jushin Liger leap off the top rope…moonsault…and NAIL Hase! 1….2…..3!!!*

*The crowd pops…. Liger with the big win… he’s walking back up the ramp and out of the back… TENZAN! Tenzan nails him in the back of the head with a forearm! OMG! Tenzan picks him up and POWERBOMBS HIM ON THE RAMP! Officials and agents run out. Tenzan is taking out his frustration on Liger… but Liger got the win tonight…*

*Officials are attending to Jushin Liger after the attack by Tenzan. The crowd is still buzzing after the powerbomb on the entrance ramp.*

*Ross: "Jushin Liger wins the match, but look at what Hiroyoshi Tenzan has done to this young man! That was completely uncalled for!"*

*Heenan: "Uncalled for? Ross, Tenzan lost earlier tonight to Kensuke Sasuke. He's embarrassed, he's angry, and he just sent a message to every Japanese wrestler in WCW!"*

*Ross: "Well, the Great Muta and Masa Chono will meet later tonight for the International Championship, and after what we've seen already, I can only imagine what those two men are going to do to one another!"*

*Heenan: "And don't forget Alexandra York, Ross. She's got a plan for everything!"*

*Ross says Halloween Havoc is already living up to its name, and we're only getting started!*

Dustin Rhodes vs Scott Hall w/ Paul E

There is some history here with these two. They walk out to the ring, both looking extremely confident. Both men stand eye to eye and once that bell rings, they both go full bore. Dustin Rhodes is busted open early after Hall throws him from the ramp into the guardrail! Dustin bleeds all over as Hall continues to pound… even Paul E tries to pull him back a bit but with Hall’s hands, covered in blood, looks at Paul E… even Dangerously feels he may be a target. Dustin can fight back and get in some offense. He goes for a bulldog but Hall pushes him through the ropes and he goes to the floor! Hall goes out after him and the fight continues. Paul E is urging him to get into the ring as the referee counts. 8…9…10…. A double count out! Paul E is upset… he yells at Hall who pushes him away… Hall then picks up Dustin and goes for a RAZOR’S EDGE outside on the floor! A double count out… Hall walks to the back with Paul E trailing him. Ross and Heenan put this over in a big way.

Dustin Rhodes is being helped away from ringside. He's bleeding heavily, and Scott Hall has already disappeared through the curtain after delivering the Razor's Edge on the floor.

Ross: "Good God almighty! Scott Hall has absolutely destroyed Dustin Rhodes! The match ended in a double count-out, but Hall wasn't interested in winning the match! He wanted to hurt Dustin Rhodes!"

Heenan: "And look at Paul E. Dangerously! Even he couldn't control Hall! That's a dangerous man, Ross!"

Ross: "You saw Hall shove Paul E. away! There's something going on within the Dangerous Alliance, and I don't think Paul E. has everything under control like he wants us to believe!"

Heenan: "I wouldn't jump to conclusions, Ross. Scott Hall is a dangerous individual. Sometimes you've got to let a dangerous man do what he does best!"

Ross: "Well, Dustin Rhodes may be heading to the hospital tonight, and we've still got the United States Championship and the World Tag Team Championship to come! The Dangerous Alliance has a huge night ahead of them!"

Heenan says Paul E. made a promise earlier tonight that the Dangerous Alliance would dominate Halloween Havoc. Ross says so far they've certainly made their presence felt, but there's a long way to go!

Marty Jannetty vs Shawn Michaels

*Another very personal match… we know the history of the Rockers… multiple time tag team champions, Both of them at the height of their young careers but now all that is behind them. Marty comes out in his Rockers esq gear and then Michaels comes out in Black Tights with white hearts on them. He’s got a leather vest and sunglasses on. Not quite HBK that we know… but he’s getting there. Inside the ring, 12-minutes, these two have got a lot of fire. Marty hits a huge flying crossbody over the top rope. Michaels fights back and then hits perhaps the move of the night… he bodyslams Marty on the ramp. He then goes up top… he leaps off the top rope and hits an elbow on Marty Jannetty outside the ring on the ramp! These two go back and forth but then Michaels takes control and doesn’t give it up… the finish sees Michaels grab Jannetty and grabs his leg… NORTHERN LIGHTS BRAINBUSTER! Michaels gets the 3-count. He works the crowd and goes up the aisle… *

*Shawn Michaels is celebrating his victory as Marty Jannetty is still down in the ring. Michaels makes his way up the aisle, stopping to look back at the ring with a big smile on his face.*

*Ross: "Shawn Michaels has made a statement tonight. A tremendous performance, but I don't know that I've ever seen a young man so completely consumed with himself!"*

*Heenan: "That's called confidence, Ross! And after what he just did to Marty Jannetty, I'd say he's earned the right to have some!"*

*Ross says the future certainly looks bright for Shawn Michaels, but what happens to Marty Jannetty after a beating like that? Heenan says Marty had his opportunity to be part of something special, but Shawn Michaels has moved on to bigger and better things!*

*Ross then turns our attention to the World Heavyweight Championship. We've heard from Sting. We've seen the Undertaker. But later tonight, there's no more talking and no more hiding. The bell will ring, and one of them will leave Chattanooga as the WCW World Heavyweight Champion.*

The Nasty Boys come out and they are just oozing it in from the crowd. Missy Hyatt is a 10 right now… the leather coat… the attitude… She is prime time right now. Missy gets on the microphone and complains that the Steiners couldn’t make it tonight… they are a little tied up right now… but don’t worry….wait a moment… the music hits the PA - it’s time to get Steinerized! Scott Steiner comes out and the fans are going wild. He has got jeans and a barely held together tank top.

The Steiner Brothers  vs The Nasty Boys w/ Missy Hyatt

It isn’t a match, it is a fight and Scott brings the fight. Scott hits a couple of big moves and keeps it one on two for a couple of minutes but then the numbers get the better of him… plus the Nasty Boys pull out a chair and a trash can from under the ring. Just as things are about to get out of hand, the crowd pops, here comes Rick Steiner! Rick is coming down the aisle, he’s got officials and agents and a doctor pushing back but he keeps coming. We then hear a serious CRACK and Scott Steiner crumbles in the ring from a chair shot. Rick Steiner can’t take it anymore! He pushes the referees out of the way! He runs towards the ring and leaps over the ropes with a shoulder block on Sags! Knobbs comes over and STEINER LINE! You can tell Rick is still hurt… he pulls up Scott, who’s bleeding pretty heavy from the head… they hug and then bring the fight to the Nasty Boys and it is everything the fans want! The finish sees Scott Steiner with a double arm underhook suplex on Knobbs on the trashcan! No pinfall - no submission - the Steiners just walk out. Missy is trying to take care of her men…

Officials are still checking on the Nasty Boys as Missy Hyatt screams at ringside. Scott Steiner and his injured brother Rick have already walked out after delivering a beating to Knobbs and Sags.

Ross: "The Steiner Brothers didn't come here tonight to wrestle! They came here for revenge, and by God, they got it!"

Heenan: "Ross, Rick Steiner wasn't even supposed to be here! The man has a dislocated elbow! What kind of doctor lets somebody like that get into a fight?"

Ross: "Nobody let him, Brain! You saw the officials trying to stop him! Rick Steiner wasn't going to stand there and watch his brother get beaten half to death!"

Heenan: "Well, I'll tell you something. The Nasty Boys may have gotten more than they bargained for tonight, but the Steiners haven't heard the last of them!"

Ross says we've already seen blood, violence, and some of the most intense rivalries in WCW come to a head tonight. But the championships are still on the line, and the stakes are only getting higher!

*Ross reminds everyone that Flyin' Brian Pillman has been defending the WCW Television Championship for ten months. Every week, another challenger, another opportunity for somebody to take that championship away.*

Ross: "Brian Pillman has become one of the most exciting young wrestlers in World Championship Wrestling, and tonight he's facing Johnny B. Badd, a man with tremendous athletic ability and Teddy Long in his corner!"

Heenan: "And don't forget that right hand, Ross! One punch and Pillman's championship reign could be over!"

Ross: "Five championships on the line tonight, Brain. This is what Halloween Havoc is all about! The best wrestlers in the world competing for the richest prizes in our sport!"

WCW World Television Championship — Flyin' Brian Pillman © vs Johnny B. Badd w/ Teddy Long

We've got the Television Championship on the line and Flyin' Brian has been one of the most consistent champions in WCW for the last ten months! Johnny B. Badd comes out with Teddy Long and he's got all the confidence in the world. Brian comes out with the championship around his waist and gets a great reaction from the crowd. These two are going to put on a show!

The bell rings and they waste no time! Badd tries to use his size and power but Brian is just too quick. Pillman hits a beautiful dropkick and follows it up with a flying headscissors that sends Badd to the outside! Teddy Long is furious and tells Johnny to slow things down! Badd gets back in and catches Brian with a big right hand that nearly knocks him out! He goes for the cover but Pillman kicks out at two!

Badd starts working Brian over and Teddy Long is loving every minute of it. Brian fights back with some chops and hits a springboard clothesline for another near fall! Badd catches him coming off the ropes and hits a powerslam! 1…2…NO! Brian gets the shoulder up! These two are really going at it!

We're about 12-minutes into this one and Badd goes for the knockout punch but Pillman ducks! Badd turns around and Brian catches him with a spinning heel kick! Badd is staggered and Brian heads to the top rope! Teddy Long gets on the apron but Brian sees him coming and kicks him away! Badd tries to capitalize but Brian leaps off the top rope with AIR PILLMAN! 1…2…3!!!

Flyin' Brian retains the WCW Television Championship! Teddy Long is beside himself while Brian grabs his championship and celebrates with the crowd. Ross puts over the ten-month reign and says every time somebody thinks they've figured out Flyin' Brian, he finds another way to win! Heenan says Pillman had better enjoy it because sooner or later somebody is going to catch him coming off that top rope!

*We get a video package highlighting the rivalry between the Great Muta and Masa Chono. We see Chono and his men, Alexandra York directing the group, and Muta standing alongside Kensuke Sasuke. We see the attacks, the confrontations, and the violence that has brought us to this moment.*

Ross: "The WCW International Championship has become one of the most prestigious championships in professional wrestling, and tonight two of Japan's finest will meet with that championship on the line!"

Heenan: "These two men know each other, Ross. They know what the other man is capable of. And after everything that's happened between their camps, this isn't just about the championship anymore!"

Ross: "The Great Muta has retained the International Championship! What an incredible contest between two of the finest wrestlers in the world! That green mist was controversial, but the referee never saw it!"

Heenan: "I'll tell you something, Ross. Chono isn't going to forget that green mist! He had Muta in the STF, and he was just seconds away from becoming champion!"

Ross: "Well, the Great Muta is still the International Champion, and after everything we've seen between these men, I don't think this rivalry is going away anytime soon!"

Ross says the night is far from over. The World Tag Team Championship is still to come, and the Dangerous Alliance has two more opportunities to leave Chattanooga with championship gold.

We see Paul E. Dangerously backstage with Arn Anderson and Larry Zbyszko. The Enforcers have their championships over their shoulders while Paul E. is giving them some last-minute instructions.

Ross: "The Dangerous Alliance has been one of the most powerful organizations in World Championship Wrestling, and tonight Arn Anderson and Larry Zbyszko will defend the World Tag Team Championship against two young men who have been making a name for themselves!"

Heenan: "And those two young men are walking into the biggest match of their lives, Ross. The Patriot and Marcus Bagwell have talent, but they're facing two of the smartest wrestlers in the business!"

Ross: "The Enforcers have experience, they have Paul E. Dangerously, and they have the World Tag Team Championship. But the Patriot and Bagwell have nothing to lose tonight!"

Heenan: "That's where you're wrong, Ross. They've got plenty to lose! Their pride, their confidence, and maybe a few teeth!"

Ross: "Well, that's what makes a champion, Brain! Ricky Steamboat survived everything Rick Rude threw at him tonight, and he's still the United States Champion!"

Heenan: "This isn't over! You can see it in Rude's eyes! He's not finished with Ricky Steamboat!"

Ross says Rick Rude may have another opportunity down the road, but tonight belongs to Ricky Steamboat.

The camera follows Steamboat as he walks up the aisle with the championship raised above his head. The crowd is cheering, but Ross's voice begins to change.

Ross: "Ladies and gentlemen, we've seen some incredible action tonight. We've seen championships defended, rivalries settled, and some of the most violent confrontations in WCW history. But now… now we're approaching the moment we've all been waiting for."

The arena lights begin to dim.

Ross: "For months, the Undertaker has stalked Sting. He's followed him. He's threatened him. He's built a coffin with the champion's name burned into the wood. And through it all, Sting has refused to back down."

Heenan: "Ross, Sting can talk about courage all he wants. He can talk about being the World Champion. But when that Undertaker walks through the curtain, all that courage is going to be put to the test!"

Ross: "Sting has been the heart and soul of World Championship Wrestling. He's fought his way to the top of this profession. But tonight, he may be facing the greatest challenge of his entire career!"

Heenan: "And for the first time, Ross, he can't run from it. He can't avoid it. They're going to be standing in the same ring, and that bell is going to ring!"

Ross pauses.

Ross: "Ladies and gentlemen… the WCW World Heavyweight Championship is next."

THE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP — MAIN EVENT

The final video package begins. The sound of a hammer against wood. We see the Undertaker building the coffin, the branding iron burning STING into the lid, and Paul Bearer holding the urn. Then we see Sting celebrating his World Heavyweight Championship victory, the fans cheering, and the champion refusing to back down. We return to the coffin being wheeled toward the ring on the final World Championship Wrestling before Halloween Havoc. Six hooded men. The lid opens. The Undertaker points toward Sting.

Ross: "HE'S COMING OUT! HE'S COMING FOR STING!"

The screen goes black. We return live to Chattanooga. The ring has been cleared. No more weapons, no more chaos. The camera sweeps across the crowd as Gary Michael Cappetta stands in the center of the ring.

Ross: "We've waited months for this moment. Sting has defended that championship against the very best, but tonight he faces a man who has gotten inside his head without ever laying a hand on him."

Heenan: "You can prepare for a wrestler, Ross. How do you prepare for the Undertaker?"

Cappetta: "Ladies and gentlemen, this is your MAIN EVENT OF THE EVENING! The following contest is scheduled for one fall and is for the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP OF THE WORLD!"

The crowd erupts. The lights fade.

The arena is completely dark. We hear a low bell… GONG!

Nothing.

Another GONG!

Then we see six hooded men slowly coming through the entrance curtain. They're carrying torches and walking in two lines of three. Behind them is Paul Bearer, dressed in black, holding the urn close to his chest.

And behind Paul Bearer… THE UNDERTAKER!

He's wearing the black hat, the long coat, and the gloves. His head is down as he slowly walks toward the ring. The crowd is making an incredible amount of noise. Some are booing, some are screaming, and some are just watching.

Ross: "There he is! The Undertaker! The man who has terrorized Sting for months!"

Heenan: "Look at him, Ross. Just look at him. He hasn't taken his eyes off that ring!"

The hooded men stop at ringside and form two lines. Paul Bearer walks between them, holding the urn high. The Undertaker follows, slowly climbing the ring steps. He stops on the apron and raises his arms. The lights come back up!

The Undertaker steps over the ropes and stands in the middle of the ring. He slowly removes his hat and rolls his eyes back. Paul Bearer stands outside the ring with the urn.

The camera cuts to the entrance aisle.

For several seconds… nothing.

Then the lights go out again.

The opening of Sting's music hits and the crowd EXPLODES!

We see the silhouette of Sting standing at the top of the entrance ramp. He's wearing his colorful tights, his face painted, and the WCW World Heavyweight Championship is around his waist! He stands there for a moment, looking directly toward the ring.

The camera cuts to the Undertaker. He hasn't moved.

Sting begins walking toward the ring. He's not running, he's not playing to the crowd, and he's not smiling. He's focused. He's got the championship around his waist and he's looking directly at the Undertaker.

Ross: "LISTEN TO THIS OVATION! THE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION! STING!"

Heenan: "He's not smiling tonight, Ross. He's not slapping hands. He knows what's waiting for him!"

Sting reaches ringside and stops. He looks up at the Undertaker, who is standing in the middle of the ring. Paul Bearer is watching from the opposite side, clutching the urn.

Sting slowly climbs the ring steps and steps between the ropes.

For the first time… Sting and the Undertaker are standing in the same ring.

The crowd is going absolutely nuts.

Sting walks to the middle of the ring and stands face-to-face with the Undertaker. The Undertaker looks down at Sting. Sting looks right back at him. Neither man says a word.

The referee steps between them and asks Sting for the World Heavyweight Championship. Sting takes the belt off and holds it up in front of the Undertaker.

The Undertaker doesn't move.

Sting hands the championship to the referee, who raises it high above his head!

Ross: "THE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP IS ON THE LINE! STING! THE UNDERTAKER! FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER!"

Heenan: "Ross… we're about to find out if Sting is as brave as he says he is."

The referee hands the championship to the timekeeper and calls both men to the center of the ring.

Sting takes a step forward.

The Undertaker takes a step forward.

They're nose to nose.

The referee calls for the bell.

DING! DING! DING!

Ross: "HERE WE GO!"

Taker tosses him in the ring and then we get the meat of our contest with Taker wearing him down… Sting fights back and hits big strikes and goes for a bodyslam but Taker falls back on him.

Paul Bearer is acting weird as F outside the ring and Taker is doing some serious destruction inside the ring. Sting’s paint is wearing from his face. Taker is looking to finish. He comes hammering down with some big right hand shots and then something happens in Sting… he starts no selling… the crowd is going nuts… Sting with rights and lefts… kicks… chops…. Clothesline… and the he runs but Taker with a kick to the face… then he goes to hoist him up over his head for the Tombstone but Sting jumps over his back and pushes him into the corner and then runs for a Stinger Splash as Taker catches him and falls backwards into the turnbuckles! Sting then backs up…he runs and STINGER SPLASH…. NO! Taker gets his hand up and picks up Sting for a CHOKESLAM!

The crowd can’t believe it… Taker falls backwards into the ropes and then comes over… Sting tries to fight but Taker headbutts him again… he hoists him up…. TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER! 1…..2……3!
