Dark Matches: Paul Roma defeated Sabu Hercules w/ Slick defeated Taz Crush w/ Gary Hart defeated The Italian Stallion {We open to a wide shot of Soldier Field and a good crowd of around 25,000 are on hand. We have about 6,000 on the field while the rest are in the stands. The ring is located near the endzone and the fans are rabid. The crowd is hot and here is Tony Schiavone and Diamond Dallas Page!} Tony: Ladies and gentlemen you are looking live on an amazing crowd here in Chicago, Illinois and Soldier Field is buzzing DDP! DDP: That’s right Tony… they know that tonight is the night daddy… we have got everything on the line and brother only a few will be able to survive! Tony: Fans tonight we’ll see 5 big title matches including a battle royal to determine the number one contender for the International Championship… DDP: Plus we got Dangerous Danny Spivey, the US Champ against the Macho Man… winner gets Steamboat later on! Tony: Another question on everyone’s mind is Bam Bam Bigelow… will he be the third man for Sherri tonight in the six-man? DDP: If Bigelow has an ounce of sense in his brain… he will come out there and lead them Nasty Boys to a big victory! Tony: The other wild card in that match is of course… Jake the Snake Roberts. Tonight we’ll also see the Great Muta taking on Chris Benoit… all three titles… the European, Mexican, and Japanese titles will all be unified to make an International Champion… DDP Your thoughts? DDP: Both of these guys are tough and can go with the best of them so I have to give the edge in this one to brains and my man, they don’t get much smarter than Gary Hart! Tony: That may be true…The Rockers will also get their shot at the Twin Towers tonight… the Honky Tonk Man attempts to get the TV Title from the Z-man… fans it is going to be a night… it is time to go to the ring! Winner gets first shot at International Championship Battle Royal: Tiger Mask II, Konnan, Blue Demon, Silver King, Solar, Diablo, Conquistador I, Conquistador II, Vega, Castillo, Perez, Chono, Haku, Ivan Koloff, The Russian Pitbulls, & Dragon Azul {Forearm fest 88 starts things off here. The lucha guys have done all they can to get over but fans just aren’t buying into it. We see guys like Demon, Silver King, Solar, and Diablo out early as their writing is on the wall. Dragon Azul and Chono have a nice little issue but it leads to both of them being eliminated. Ivan Koloff has got his Pitbulls primed but Vega, Perez, and Castillo make it a six-man affair before all of them end up down and out. We end up with both Conquistadors, Konnan, Haku, and Tiger Mask II in the ring. The Conquistadors continue their issue with Konnan leading to him being eliminated but then we see Tiger Mask II come with a double clothesline and he takes the two of them out. It comes down to Haku and Tiger Mask and they put on a little show but nothing much. Haku looks to have it won and when he comes with a Tongan Spike, Tiger Mask ducks out of the way and comes back with a dropkick right to the jaw… Haku is dazed and Tiger Mask runs with a cross body and takes him out of the ring to the floor but Tiger Mask holds on and slides back in the ring. Tiger Mask II is the winner and he will be moving on to face the Winner of the Benoit and Muta Match!} [We then see a quick promo for a special show being held on July the 30th from Wrigley Field… it is the Wrigley Wrestlefest and all the top stars will be in action. We’ll have an updated card next week on WCW. We head back to the ring and Nick Bockwinkel is there to make the announcement regarding the next match and how the winner will return this evening to take on Ricky Steamboat for the WCW Championship! Randy Savage w/ Elizabeth vs Dan Spivey {What an event…. Macho Man comes out to an amazing ovation. The crowd is 100% behind him. Spivey has got some great heat and looks good as the US Champion. These two go about 17-minutes… and it is rough. Spivey beats the living hell out of Savage only for the Macho Man to keep coming back time and time again. The crowd is riled up here and start to chant for Savage. Spivey looks to be working the ring and neck and we see a nasty bump where he tosses him right up against the rampway. Savage makes one good comeback but it just isn’t enough and Spivey comes with a huge knee right to the gut. Spivey says he’s going to finish him off and then he grabs Savage… sets him up for the powerbomb… motions to the crowd… lifts him up… but Savage with a couple of big right hands… he jumps over Spivey’s back and then goes down for a backslide and the 1…2….3!!! SAVAGE HAS WON IT!} The crowd explodes for the Macho Man but Spivey isn’t happy. He grabs Savage and throws him out of the ring to the floor. Spivey then pushes the referee down. He looks like a man possessed. Spivey is being escorted out of the ringside area. Savage is being helped to his feet and it looks like he may have busted up that elbow again when he fell outside… we go to the back where Eric Bischoff is standing by with The Z-man. Zenk cuts a nice little promo on Honkytonk and Says that this is the day the music died. He’s going to shut him up once and for all and keep the TV title as he does it! We see a quick video highlighting the WCW International Championship feuds that have been taking place. It will culminate tonight with the Great Muta and Chris Benoit putting the titles together for one International Championship. We head to the ring for this big contest… TITLE for TITLE Great Muta w/ Gary Hart vs Chris Benoit {Three titles on the line… so much prestige into each of these… the European, Japanese, and Mexican Championships will become one tonight. Benoit and Muta look great coming out here… Muta is just oozing with star power as the fans have really gravitated towards him even as a heel. Benoit is raw and gritty but the crowd gives him support. This one is a 22-minute technical showdown. These two give each other move for move and leave everything they’ve got in the ring. Both men are worn down by the end and the paint from Muta is almost off his face. Benoit goes into a big chop fest but Muta counters back and hits a couple of big kicks to the ring. Benoit then counters for a pair of German Suplexes… he then goes up top… sets up and leaps for a diving headbutt… MYST! Muta Mysts him going down and Benoit misses. Muta shakes his head… goes up the ropes and MOONSAULT for the 1….2….3!!! Muta has won it! Muta is the International Champion and the crowd is riled up. Gary Hart is with him and grabs the titles as they hoist them up! Is this as high as he’ll go or will there be more gold in Muta’s future?!?!} Eric Bischoff is standing by right now with WCW Champion, Rick Steamboat. He is sporting some taped up ribs. He goes on about how Savage may be hurt going into the match and he isn’t 100% either but they will make sure the world knows who the WCW champion is when all is said and done tonight. We then see Ric Flair walk into the scene… he shakes Steamboat’s hand and tells him that he is going to be ringside to make sure this one goes right down the middle. We go to a video showcasing the big six-man title tournament/feuds going on and then the debut of Sherri - the betrayal of Duggan - and the choice of Bigelow. Bischoff is then standing by with Jake, Rotundo, and Duggan. They put over the huge math and talk about the titles… which are meaningless when it comes to honor and respect. Roberts says “They say you can only trust a man as far as you can throw him… well… what happens when you toss a snake and it slithers around you leg and trips you mid throw… when… what is the measurement of trust… Duggan and Rotundo look confused but walk out one by one for their matchup. Television Championship Z-Man vs Honky Tonk Man w/ The Roadies {Zenk gets a huge matchup here for his television championship and these two know exactly how to tango. The Roadies play a fun little role outside the ring but can’t seem to get under Zenk’s skin. When it looks like Z-man has things under control, they are able to slow him down for Honky to get into a nice little heel heat segment. He wears down Zenk but the Z-man has fight left in him. He comes back with fists of fire. The Roadies try to get involved again but out of the back runs Paul Roma! Roma is able to knock them around and send them packing. Honky is screaming at them and Roma but when he turns around… off the top rope… the Z-man with a dropkick right on the jaw! 1….2….3!!!} Eric Bischoff is in the back and he’s outside of the training room where Randy Savage is shown getting his elbow looked at. We see them close the door and Bischoff says he isn’t sure how Randy Savage will be able to continue here this evening… but then out of nowhere Dan Spivey comes… he kicks the door open and it slams shut! We can hear Elizabeth screaming and crying… oh my! SIX MAN TITLES Hacksaw Duggan, Rotundo, & Jake Roberts vs The Nasty Boys w/ Sherri {Well it's the six-man title… but only five men and a Sherri show up. These guys have got a solid little story but the variable of Jake Roberts is soon unleashed. He gets in some offense but backs off. When Duggan or Rotundo look for a tag he is slow to accept and even denies it. The Nasty Boys are working well enough together but the numbers outweigh their team unity. That is until Jake Roberts pops down from the apron… and he walks over to get damien and walks out… this leaves Rotundo and Duggan wondering what’s going on. Rotundo runs after him but Jake nails him and hits the DDT! Rotundo is out for the count on the floor… Roberts is walking to the back… inside the ring, it is a 3 on 2 now to a 2 on 1 and Duggan is getting hammered! The crowd is chanting USA…USA…USA but out of the back runs Bam Bam Bigelow! Bigelow pushes Knobbs into Sags and they go flying out of the ring. Sherri gets up on the apron and starts to scream at Bigelow… he walks over and gives her a huge smooch on the lips and she looks flabbergasted. Bigelow smiles as Duggan walks over and grabs his shoulder… this gives Bam Bam a chance to back up and then hit a nasty heel kick to the back of Duggan’s head and puts him down. Bigelow walks over and pins him for the 1….2….3!} Sherri gets in the ring and hugs her man… the Nasty Boys come in but Bigelow and Sherri kind of leave them behind… Bigelow has the six-man titles and he walks out… with Sherri… but the Nasty Boys… well they are left behind! We get a special video highlighting the big Rockers v Twin Towers feud… so much has gone into this matchup and the fans have seen the ups and downs. We see the inclusion of Hercules and the six-man fiasco. It comes down to this big rematch for the titles… who will walk out with the gold? Before the contest… we see Rusty and Dusty… the Jesters come out and they work the fans. They come over and run a little gag on DDP to where they both have a bucket and act like they’ll throw it on him but instead they fake him out… then Rusty does throw it but it is just paper confetti… DDP laughs it off… that is until Dusty comes and throws the bucket of water on him and the crowd explodes with laughter! WCW Tag Team Championship The Rockers vs The Twin Towers w/ Slick {The Slickster leads his men out to the ring to a chorus of boos. The interesting thing though… when the Rockers music hits… they don’t show up. The music hits again… they don’t show up… Slick gets on the microphone and starts to work the fans about how scared they are and how they are too dumb to show up for the but whooping that the Towers would give them… that is until out of the crowd… Michaels and Jannetty come out and they’ve got weapons! They jump in the ring and they hammer away at the Towers! The referee isn’t sure to call for the match to start or end but we’ve got a fight here! The Rockers then hit Slick with a double dropkick and sent him out of the ring to the floor! The Towers get back up and the Rockers are on the offensive with big time rights and lefts! They take another pair of big dropkicks and send the Towers out of the ring… the Rockers then hit the ropes and then suicide dives through the ropes and take the Towers down to the floor! The referees and officials run out to break this up as all hell has broken loose! The Towers are all befuddled outside the ring with Slick who had his hat knocked off. The Rockers were disqualified with the weapons but they may have won the battle… this story is far, from over! Eric Bischoff is standing by and he is trying to track down Jake Roberts… Roberts is questioned about his actions and he says… “You know something… they say that you can measure a man by his ability to handle adversity. Well… I guess we just saw the measurement of Jim Duggan and Mike Rotundo. Well… you see… I don’t put myself in adverse situations I create them. So… haha… you won’t see me relying on anyone but myself… and Damien… ever again. Trust me…. We then see a special promo video for a huge show taking place on July the 30th from Wrigley Field as WCW Presents: Wrigley Wrestlefest 88! In the back we see Slick standing by and he is huffing and puffing up something awful right now. He is letting everyone know that his Twin Towers were cheated and something has to be done! He says that he is taking this to the board of directors and come WCW on Saturday Night… he is going to put it all on the line and the Rockers are going to have to put up or shut up because he is going to tear them apart! {It is the moment we have all been waiting for. The crowd is excited and the building is at a hush as the Macho Man’s music hits and he comes out with the Lovely Elizabeth. Macho has his arm heavily wrapped with the brace and Elizabeth looks worried. We then see the Nature Boy Ric Flair make his grand entrance… he is in the suit and tie but still an intimidating sight. Then we see the champion… Ricky the Dragon Steamboat walk out with the WCW title and the fans are going wild. We head to Mike McGuirk in the ring. Mike McGuirk: Ladies and gentlemen this is the main event of the evening and it is for the WCW Heavyweight Championship! This match is one fall with a sixty minute time limit. Introducing first, he is a special guest who will be joining the ranks of WCW. He is a former heavyweight champion of the world. Ladies and gentlemen… the Nature Boy… Ric Flair! Now… the challenger… he hails from Sarasota, Florida. He is the former WCW United States Champion. He is accompanied to the ring by the Lovely Elizabeth. Ladies and gentlemen… Randy Macho Man Savage! His opponent… he hails from Charlotte, North Carolina… he is the reigning… defending… WCW Heavyweight Champion… Ricky the Dragon…. STEAMBOAT! WCW Championship Ricky Steamboat vs Randy Savage {Perhaps the most important title match in the history of WCW. We know that Steamboat’s ribs are hurt. We know that Savage’s elbow is smashed. But both men… their hearts are full and here we go. 35-minutes… we get to see both men go move for move with neither giving an inch. Flair is pretty easy going outside the ring… that is until he makes eyes at Elizabeth… and then he goes to help Steamboat get up from a fall. When it happens to Savage… Flair all but ignores him. We get a spot early on when Dan Spivey walks out but Flair is there to meet him in the ramp. Spivey tries to go past him but Flair with a couple of huge chops! He nails Spivey to the delight of the crowd. Flair is able to back off Spivey into the officials… In the ring both men know the weaknesses and go for it. Steamboat gets close to a submission on the elbow but Savage is able to pull him through and he goes out of the ring to the floor. Savage and Steamboat are able to brawl a little bit outside… we get Savage hoisting Steamboat into the rampway to hurt the ribs. Steamboat has to find a way to survive and then he tosses Savage’s arm right into the ringpost. The fight goes back in the ring and we get into the final moments. Steamboat is looking to finish and even nails a piledriver! Steamboat goes up top and flying karate chop! 1….2… KICK OUT! Steamboat then goes back up… FLYING CROSS BODY and Savage is down for the 1….2… FOOT ON THE ROPE! Steamboat is reeling now… Steamboat picks up Savage… Steamboat goes to the ropes but Flair pulls the middle rope down! Steamboat goes flying out of the ring! Steamboat looks hurt and here comes Savage but Liz screams about Flair. Savage is right in Flair’s eyes now but here comes Steamboat from behind and Savage moves and Flair is rocked! Savage and Steamboat get back in a series and go into the ring. Steamboat then hits a spinning heel kick out of nowhere… he goes to the ropes… Steamboat is going up top but Flair runs and pushes him off into the ring and he comes crashing down! Savage was groggy but now he gets up… Steamboat then gets up and swings big, Savage ducks and goes for an atomic drop but Savage goes over his back and then pushes Steamboat into the ropes… they hit the ropes and duck clotheslines… then a double clothesline and both men are down! Flair has now ripped off his tie and is screaming in the ring. Both men get up slowly… Steamboat throws a big arm and it is Savage who ducks…grabs Steamboat for the Atmoic Drop and Steamboat goes over the tope… runs Savage into the ropes and then they criss cross again and Savage out of nowhere with a back elbow… Steamboat is reeling and Savage with a huge PILEDRIVER! Oh my! Savage goes up top… puts his hands high in the air and ELBOW DROP!!! 1…..2…..3!!! We have a NEW WCW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!!} {Savage hoists the title high in the air in one arm and Elizabeth in the other! The crowd is giving them their due as they go up the ramp. Inside the ring though… wait a minute… Flair is in there screaming at Steamboat. Time is running out on the broadcast… wait a minute… ARN ANDERSON IS HERE! Anderson and Flair have attacked Steamboat! Time is running out! Anderson and Flair pull Steamboat out of the ring and … oh my… SPIKE PILEDRIVER ON THE FLOOR! Savage is running back… we gotta go!}
Autistic Dragon
"Forearm Fest 88" lol good one. Tiger Mask 2 survives an international who's who to come out on top. From Soldiers field to Wrigley's field, WCW is certainly going big time. Savage overcomes the big man but Spivey is the sorest loser you can imagine. Muta makes history as WCW's first International champion. I'll be honest, the six man finals left me more confused then anything. Roberts just decides he doesn't want to be on a team in the middle of a championship match. Bigelow skipping most of the match, then he & Sherry ditch The Nasties. I'm not sure what to make of this. The Rockers show The Towers they aren't afraid to play dirty. Savage is the new WCW World Heavyweight Champion but the headlines tomorrow will be all about the Nature Boy and The Enforcer. kevinmcfl
Really entertaining show. You are doing a great job of putting such a star-filled roster into some sort of hierarchy. I think the Rockers with the weapons made perfect sense. They need to fight fire with fire but I might be worried about what could be next. I agree with Jake... he might be better off alone but he walked out on some pretty good guys! Muta vs Benoit was a tough choice for you on who to push next. I think you made the right choice. What a show for Savage... but how long before we get Savage and Flair. Great write-ups of all the matches. I really struggle with this part of the game. Control21
I love how you incorporate those old-school figures with your matches to help visualize things. Very creative concept. I remember having a few of those as a kid and thought they were the coolest things ever. Randy Savage being the champion is probably the right call, but Ricky Steamboat isn't going to away quietly I bet. Great middle with the match between Muta and Benoit. Muta is destined for stardom in WCW.
spaldoni
A battle royal is always a good way to kick things off, especially with stakes involved. Tiger Mask earns the shot. I agree with AD, WCW is on fire, booking 2 stadium shows in one month. Savage advances to face Steamboat, but Spivey makes sure to leave a mark. Muta!!!!!!!!! YES! Something tells me not to trust a snake. Zenk handles business and puts the greatest entertainer of all time down. Maybe Zenk should offer Roma a TV title shot. WOW! A lot went down in the 6 man title match. I was right, not to trust a snake. However, I'm a huge fan of heel Jake. Bigelow is the 3rd man and it looks like the Nasties are out. Once again, I agree with AD. I thought 1988 versions of Sherri and the Nasties would work. There's going to be a lot of questions next Saturday. The Jesters is some fun booking. I'm hoping these guys going into full heel Doink mode. Obviously inflicting pain on the Towers is more important than the titles right now. Rockers prove they can get down and fight. This added a nice edge. Ric Flair in WCW is big time! He's coming off a year long NWA world title run and is already in the WCW main event picture. Despite injuries, Steamboat and Savage tear the house down. Savage overcomes and is the NEW WCW world champ! Wasn't sure what Ric's motives were but it was certainly made clear by him and Arn at the end. Could Flair be putting together a faction? I guess we'll find out soon enough. Fantastic show! LowBlowPodcast
World Championship Wrestling Saturday July 15 Decator, Illinois WCW opens to footage from American Meltdown. We see all the highlights… the new International Champion the Great Muta, New WCW Champion Randy Savage and so much more. We also see quick clips of Arn Anderson showing up and attacking Ricky Steamboat with Ric Flair! We go to Tony Schaivone and Diamond Dallas Page who are standing by… Tony and DDP go over all kinds of happenings… they bring up the big international battle royal and how Tiger Mask gets his chance at Muta at Wrigley. They put over the issue with Bam Bam Bigelow and Sherri. They put over the new WCW Champion Randy Savage. We have to head to our first contest… let’s go to the ring. The Barbarian debuts against Mike Steele and beats him within an inch of his life. Barbarian hits a nice flying shoulder block on Steele to get the victory. We hear a commotion and here comes the Dr. of Style… Slick. He’s got Hercules and the Towers with him. They put over the issue of the Rockers and Slick says that the final battle lines have been drawn… we are going to see the Twin Towers and the Rockers at Wrigley… but this time it is going to be inside a STEEL CAGE! The crowd loves to hear that… but then we also hear that Hercules… the strongest man in the world… is the first challenger for Randy Savage at Wrigley… he is going to destroy his victory party before it even gets started! We return to WCW and the Z-Man comes out with the TV title… he says he can’t wait to be a fighting champion like he’s been already… but now against real talent. Schiavone says that we will see eight contenders turn down to 1 and they will face Zenk at Wrigley… we’ve got four matches tonight… two next week… then the finals… who will be the winner… let’s get things started! Konnan vs Vega w/ Castillo & Perez is a good opener for our tv tournament. Konnan seems to have lost some momentum as of late and Vega seems to be building back up. Here… the numbers get involved and cause Konnan to be distracted and then get absolutely rocked with a spinning heel kick and then a three count as Vega is our winner. Before we go to commercial… we see Mike Rotundo come out and he says plain and simple that he’s tired of this crap that Jake Roberts has been spewing… he didn’t deserve to get DDT’d the other night… but now it is time for Roberts to get what he deserves and Rotundo is going to be the one to do it! We’re back and Tony puts over the issue with Rick Steamboat. We see a video of the injury and the attack from Flair and Anderson. We then find out that Steamboat has been diagnosed with a severe concussion and he will be out indefinitely. We then go to our next tv title tourney match. Chris Benoit vs Masa Chono is a hard hitting bout like their previous contest a couple of weeks ago. Gary Hart is out here and he plays a role but rather gets in the way when Chono runs into him and then falls into a couple of big German Suplexes by Benoit and the final he holds for a three count! Benoit is the winner and he is moving on! Before commercials… we have the Rockers come out and they talk about the tag title match. They say that they just started by coming out ready to fight at American Meltdown… but in Wrigley… at the Wrestlefest… inside the cage… they are coming to fight and coming to win. WCW returns and what a moment… Ric Flair and Arn Anderson come out to a mixed reaction from the crowd. We then get to hear the what and why from both men. Anderson discusses how WCW is going to be the premiere wrestling promotion in the world but they need the premiere athletes… in come Ric Flair and Arn Anderson. They have set the bar higher than any other team or group has ever done. Together… they will ascend to the top of WCW and it will only be a matter of time. Flair then goes in depth on Steamboat… says he trained with Steamboat for the Savage match… but Steamboat wouldn’t listen to him. He told him to take the shortcuts and find ways to get into Savage’s head but Steamboat wouldn’t… so he and Anderon got into his head and put him to sleep. Flair says that there is nothing but gold in their future… Paul Roma vs Arn Anderson is a great showcase for Anderson making his debut here tonight. Roma does some great work and sells very well for Arn who is made to look like a top guy. The finish is the spinebuster and Anderon gets the three count relatively easily. He moves to next week and another big match. Anderson makes his way back over to Schiavone and Flair but wait a minute… Dangerous Danny Spivey comes out and the crowd is rocking. Spivey says he is coming for Flair! Tells him that if he wants gold to come and get it! We’re back with Hacksaw Jim Duggan and he is irate about the six-man title situation… he says that he is going to be looking for Bam Bam and if he finds him he’s going to shove the 2x4 where the sun doesn’t shine and if it is Sherri… well she will get the smooch of her life and a spank to get sent down the road. HOOOO! He then says that he’s got issues with the Nasty Boys too… Duggan goes on to say that people always ask him where he gets his 2x4s and he says it is from the best lumber in the Northwest… he’s got a buddy named Maniac Matt who chops the trees and gives him the high quality wood to chop down his competition… if the Nasty Boys want the fight he’s ready to give them one. Our final TV Title Eliminator Match is between Ivan Koloff and the returning Koko B Ware. Koko has a nice pop from the crowd and comes in like a house of fire. We see the Russians try to get involved but Koko sets up Ivan to hit both of them with a double clotheslines… and then hits his own big time dropkick on Ivan for the 1…2….3! Koko has a tough road ahead next week but could he be in line for the TV Title upon his return?! Jake Roberts is then shown with Damien and he is letting the snake crawl on Tony Schiavone’s shoulder… he goes on… “Mike Rotundo… an All-American Wrestler from Syracuse who has the eduction of a scholar… the athleticism of a gladiator… but the mind of an imbecile. Mike Rotundo you want to come out here and challenge me? Ha..ha… brother you’ve been challenged by the forces of nature to stand the test of time but the real challenge is coming. You want to shake this snakes tree… we… you got it. Remember the thing about snakes is that they don’t do it fast… they do it slow… they take their time… and Rotundo I am going to do the same thing… and it won’t be fast.. But it will be lethal… Gary Hart brings out his men and he even goes on to tell Chono to leave. Gary Hart says he has no time for incompetence and when it comes to guys losing matches… he is losing his patience. He says that Muta is the only undefeated wrestler in the world. He’s the only undefeated champion in the world. He holds three different titles from three different counties and will soon be the undisputed champion when he destroys Tiger Mask II… that is if he survives Crush! Tiger Mask II vs Crush w/ Gary Hart is another letdown for Mr. Hart. Tiger Mask II is prime right now. He is so crisp in the ring and he handles Crush with his expertise. He ducks a big clothesline and then turns it into a Tiger Driver for the 3-count! Tiger Mask looks at Muta and makes the sign of the belt… will his time come soon? Here comes Sensational Sherri and she’s got Bam Bam Bigelow and the Nasty Boys with her. She goes on to say that she is a woman who gets what she wants… she takes it… and what she doesn’t need… she gets rid of… so Nasty Boys… I wanted you to get this man right here… you were pawns in a man’s game… but the woman was running the show. (Security comes out) Now get these punks out of here! Security then escorts them to the back but they are letting Sherri have it! The Nasty Boys say they want Bigelow! They will get their revenge! Sherri then goes on to say that this is the Beast from the East… this is the most athletic and dominant heavyweight in the history of professional wrestling and I am going to finally unleash him on WCW. No one is safe… everyone is a target… Duggan.. The Nasty Boys… Dan Spivey… Randy Savage… I love the feel of gold… don’t think you aren’t in our sights. Bigelow then goes on to say that the world is his for the taking… he is going to unleash the Beast and burn everyone to the ground! WCW returns and we see a quick rundown of the matches for Wrestlefest at Wrigley. We find out that Randy Savage defends the WCW title against Hercules… Tiger Mask II vs Great Muta for the International Championship… Mike Rotundo and Jake Roberts has been signed for a one on one match… plus we will see a huge tag team title match inside a steel cage… The Rockers taking on The Twin Towers… fans it is going to be on fire… but wait just a moment… We end things with the one and the only WCW Champion… Randy Macho Man Savage! He and Elizabeth look great. Savage goes on to say that he’s been right next to Ricky Steamboat since he’s been in the hospital and he has got a list… at the top of the list is Ric Flair and Arn Anderson… but like a man and the champion he plans to be the title has to be defended. Next week the Rockers and the Macho Man team up… because soon they’ll be in the ring against Hercules and the Twin Towers. Hercules may have the power of 1,000 men but barely has the heart of one. The Macho Man has strength, speed, and heart… and heart is what’s going to keep the title around his waist! Hercules the Wrestlefest at Wrigley is going to be an event that makes the beginning of the Macho Man’s reign as WCW Champion and the end of your career! Then… ohh yeah… then Ric Flair… haha… if there’s anything left of you from Dan Spivey… I am coming to clean it up and spit it back out! DIG IT! Autistic Dragon
Slickster drops a couple of bombs, not only do his Towers get The Rockers in a cage but Hercules gets the first crack at Savage! Konnan, Benoit, Anderson and Ware make a solid semifinal lineup. Spivey is on the hunt for Flair. Gary Hart seems to be losing patience with Crush. Maybe he should give The Barbarian a look? Roberts and Rotundo should make for a solid mid-card feud. Sherri may be ready to unleash the Beast but I can't escape the question..... does WCW have Six Man Champions or not? spaldoni
Wrestlefest could be a huge night for Slick. Looking forward to the big cage match blow off. Importance is put on the TV title in a big way. I'm putting my money on Arn. It didn't take long for Flair to make enemies. Looks like Duggan has a buddy coming in. If it's who I think it is, the Nasties are in trouble. Trouble's brewing in Hart's stable, but as long as he has Muta, he'll be alright. Rotunda deserves his revenge after what Jake did to him. Sherri plans on taking Bigelow to the top and she might do just that. Savage ends show on a high note. Can't wait for his inevitable showdown with Flair. However, he better stay focused on Herc. LastStopTour
The Nastys didn't last too long with Sherri as she sent them on their way. I think she's better off with just Bigelow anyway who will go farther in the long run. Speaking of Ho's, Duggan has his sights set on Sherri and Bam Bam. That might be a tall order but it would certainly be a signature feud to put the rest of WCW on notice. While there are a couple of promotions that could probably make a similar claim about being THE top promotion, I think WCW has the feet to fill those shows. You have some of the top guys in the business, good tag teams, international stars that get regular work as Gary Hart hustles them in and so on. I don't think I have seen too many claims as to being the top dog or even having that as their goal but WCW may the one guy to back it up. Impressive debut win for Koko Ware not only Uncle Ivan but also having to deal with the rest of the corner.
kevinmcfl
Great job keeping all the big names in some sort of pecking order. Can't wait to see who eventually rises to the top between Steamboat, Flair and Savage.
LowBlowPodcast
World Championship Wrestling Saturday July 22 WCW opens tonight and we see the pair of DDP and Tony Schiavone as they put over the big night of action including, Chris Benoit taking on Vega… Arn Anderson taking on Koko Ware… plus we’ll see Tiger Mask vs Chono and a huge main event with Randy Savage and the Rockers taking on the Russians! The crowd is pumped… Schiavone and DDP are getting excited… HERE WE GO! Chris Benoit defeated Vega w/ Perez & Castillo in a hard fought match. The two outside the ring ended up costing Vega the match along with some help from Konnan who came out and stopped them from getting too involved. WCW returns from commercial and we see our good friend Hacksaw Jim Duggan! He says he has got one eye on the Nasty Boys and one eye on Bam Bam Bigelow. He also has eyes in the back of his head… and that’s because he brought in his good buddy… the one who cuts down the huge trees in the Pacific Northwest… he’s the one who makes these 2x4s and he does it better than anyone else… here comes Duggan’s buddy… Maniac Matt! Maniac Matt comes out and he is a ball of energy! Matt Borne… in a big josh style gimmick… talks a big game about joining Duggan and taking on the Nasty Boys down like one of those big redwood trees! We’ll see this big encounter at the WrestleFest in Wrigley… Los Conquistadors defeated Solar & Blue Demon As the Conquistadors are leaving the ring… they get a special treat when Rusty and Dusty walk by… The Conquistadors no sell them but then Rusty and Dusty do a little tap on the shoulder routine that has each man twist and turn before bumping into one another. Rusty and Dusty have a good laugh but then frown and look at the two men… what are these two up to? We’re back and here comes television champion Tom Zenk… he says that this title has always meant a lot but now it is the most challenged title in WCW. Zenk puts over Benoit and says he is an ultra tough competitor but so are Anderson and Koko. He looks forward to showing off why he is the champion and defending it again in Wrigley! Arn Anderson defeated Koko Ware in an awesome television match. This one almost went the 15-minutes and Koko gave Arn everything he had. Anderson caught Koko with a spinebuster off a cross body attempt which led to the three count! After the contest we see Anderson walk out with his hands held high. Jake Roberts walks over though… “You find the funniest things in this world… I mean we put a 10 pound belt with some gold on it in front of eight men and they fight to the death to see who can walk out with it huh? Now… Mike Rotundo… their fate is the same as yours… but there is no gold at the end of your path… there is no light at the end of your tunnel… there is only darkness my friend. You see Damien… he has already slithered up and wrapped himself around you.. It is all over but the crying my man… well for you there will be no crying… there will only be silence… once the DDT fills your veins… darkness and silence will take over… then… hahaha… then it is over. WCW returns and here comes Nature Boy Ric Flair and Double A Arn Anderson. We see Flair in his suit while Anderson is wearing a familiar shirt… but still sweating from the previous match… Anderson goes on… “Since we’ve come to WCW we’ve had one primary motive… do onto others before they do onto us. Ricky Steamboat found that out. Koko B Ware found it out. Paul Roma found it out. Next week… Chris Benoit, you find out why I am the enforcer. We don’t come here to play games we come here to earn a living… beat people up… and make money doing it. Then… Z-Man… you hold that tv title like you earned it… son you haven’t earned an ounce of my respect and come Wrigley… I am coming for the title and I am not walking out empty handed.” Flair then goes on… “You see Tony Schiavone… when we signed with WCW there were stipulations and perks if you will… we have already made our money but now it is time to get our glory and that comes at the expense of people like Tom Zenk… Ricky Steamboat… Randy Savage… and if he doesn’t shut his mouth… Danny Spivey. Spivey… for some reason you’ve tried to put yourself in the same range as the Nature Boy Ric Flair… well pal… you’ve got a long way to go and not enough time in the rest of your life to get there. Understand that I am the man you wish you could be and if you don’t shut your mouth… I will shut it for you pal!” Oh my… here he comes. Spivey is being held back by Brisco! Spivey screams out Flair’s name and tells him he wants him at Wrigley. Flair smiles and tells him to put the title on the line… Spivey throws the belt at him and tells him it is on! We have chaos here… Spivey is being escorted to the back… Flair is smiling… picks up the US title… makes a motion of it around his waist… what is going to happen with these two? Bam Bam Bigelow w/ Sherri destroys Ronnie James via the diving headbutt! Sherri and Bam Bam walk over to Schivaone but they’re met by the Nasty Boys. Saggs and Knobbs tell Sherri that they will show her what she’s missing out on… they tell her to keep an eye on them when they take on Duggan and his buddy at Wrigley…Sherri just smiles as they walk off… she then goes on to tell Schiavone and DDP that Bam Bam Bigelow is the next big thing in WCW and she’s going to make sure of it when he puts on a showcase of showcases at WrestleFest… it will be the beginning of the end for everyone in his way! WCW is back and here comes Slick and the Towers… along with number one contender Hercules. Hercules says he has got the power of all the gods behind him and he’s going to tear down the Macho Man and destroy everything he has done. The chains he holds bear the weight of 1,000 soldiers but soon it will be the weight of WCW and the TITLE! Tiger Mask defeated Chono in a very hard hitting contest. Gary Hart is visibly upset on the outside of the ring. Before break… Tony and DDP put over the big show next week from Wrigley and then out walks Randy Savage and the Rockers… they put over the six-man their about to have and then talk about Hercules and the Towers. Savage says this is the first of many tests as the champion and he’s going to defend the title against anyone, anytime, anywhere! The Rockers put over how this is the match they want… they aren’t afraid… time will tell what happens but they plan to walk out… winners… and with the titles! WCW returns and out comes Gary Hart and Muta… Tony and DDP question what has been going on with Chono and Crush but Gary Hart tells them both to shut it… he says that Muta is the crown jewel… Muta is the one who will take him to the top… Tiger Mask will find that out the hard way next week! The Barbarian destroyed Lance Ryan via the top rope shoulder block! Mike Rotundo joins DDP and Tony after the match. He puts over the big match at Wrigley with Jake Roberts. Rotundo points out… “Jake Roberts may be able to twist every single word into a riddle… but I am going to twist his body like a pretzel! Roberts… you showed your true colors when you turned your back on me and Duggan… you have come out here and said every single word you know to phase me but it won’t… you see I do my talking in that ring. I am going to grip you… flip you… and put you down once and for all! We’re back… we see a promo for WrestleFest at Wrigley. We’ll see the following title matches: WCW UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP Dan Spivey © vs Ric Flair INTERNATIONAL TRIPLE CROWN Tiger Mask II vs Great Muta WCW CHAMPIONSHIP Randy Savage © w/ Elizabeth vs Hercules w/ Slick WCW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP Rockers vs Twin Towers in a cage match What a night it will be… right now it is time for our big six-man tag main event! SIX-MAN TAG Savage & The Rockers vs the Russians {A good main event match… the Rockers and Savage are in unison with their outfits which is nice. The Russians try to get things going and do get some good head but then a hot tag to Savage spells the end. We get a nasty double superkick on Russian Pitbull 2 which leads to an elbow drop from Savage for the 3-count!} Savage and the Rockers get to celebrate for a moment but here comes Slick and he’s got Hercules and the Towers with him. We hear a challenge… could we see this six-man next week? We’ll definitely see Arn Anderson and Chris Benoit… plus Tiger Mask & Azul vs Chono and Crush! Autistic Dragon
I think we all figured Benoit and Anderson would meet in the finals. Glad to see Ware put up a fight. Meanwhile Flair has a date with Spivey for the US title. Nice compromise with the Big Josh gimmick, keeping the recognizable name to go with the lumberjack outfit. Roberts with some chilling words for Rotundo. Looks like Hart is willing to go all in Muta as the cash cow. Slick is certain his man Hercules can bring the World title home. A huge night of wrestling is coming to Wrigley Field.
MLB
Man, this is wild stuff...I actually had that Galoob Z-Man as a kid (among other figs featured here). Looks like quite a few of these are custom made. I'm jealous of kids today because I think Mattel's style is way better.
LastStopTour
Only 5 matches advertised so far for Wrestlefest at Wrigley but man, is that a stacked card. Matt Borne coming in really helps Duggan whether in singles, just watching Duggan's back or in tag matches. Just a matter of time, they clash with the Nasty Boys and/or Bam Bam Bigelow. Koko finds himself in good matches but unfortunately on the losing end of things.
Control21
A very fun show to continue the build for Wrestlefest. Los Conquistadors vs Solar and Blue Demon was a solid opener, and Chono vs Tiger Mask II helped set the stage for what could be a potential show-stealer. spaldoni
Arn is on fire and he's taking that all the way to the TV title! I should slow down, because beating Zenk wont be easy. Duggan and Borne is such a great fit. Rugged babyfaces. I'm getting a kick out of the clowns. I liked the contrast of promos with Jake and Rotunda. Flair's confidence is at an all time high. However, I wouldn't want to face the maniac Spivey. He's very pissed off right now. Curious to see how Flair handles this. Sherri continues to put over Bigelow in a big way. LOL, poor Nasties want that attention as well. WCW is really putting importance on the tag titles. The Wrestlefest main event cage match says it all. Good to see Herc get some mic time and hype himself up for Savage. Savage and the Rockers looked awesome but Slick's men didn't seem impressed and issue the challenge. I agree with LST, only 5 matches announced but damn what a stacked card.
LowBlowPodcast
World Championship Wrestling Saturday July 29 WCW is a quick clipped show this week as the crew is prepping for the big one tomorrow night from Wrigley. We see the following matches: Tiger Mask & Dragon Azul defeated Chono & Crush which led to Gary Hart just berating both men to the point where they look to go after him. Muta has to get involved but these two seem to be on the outs with Gary Hart! Arn Anderson vs Chris Benoit is a 15-minute showcase. Anderson is able to make Benoit look good but he is not in the enforcer’s league yet. Anderson is able to control the match… he gives Benoit a moment of hope but then breaks it down and takes him out with a nasty spinebuster for the 3-count. Anderson moves on to take on the Z-Man tomorrow night! Hacksaw Jim Duggan & Maniac Matt Borne won a tag team contest but soon the Nasty Boys made their way out to try and cause some trouble… we’ll see the two teams face off tomorrow night. The Main Event Savage & The Rockers vs Hercules & the Twin Towers. This one was wild with the crowd going nuts throughout the contest. Savage was a start and Shawn Michaels also looked great. The Towers looked like legit power houses and then Hercules was great for cleanup. We see a DQ finish with Bossman destroys Jannetty with the Night Stick. The heels gain control of the contest before we see Savage and the Rockers try to fight back. Hercules gets the final word when he picks up Savage and cracks him against the ring post twice… softening up that back for the torture rack! Officials and agents check on Savage as he looks to be in a bad way. We also heard from the following: Dan Spivey cut a crazy promo on Ric Flair and talked about destroying every part of his body. Flair was calm, cool, and collected as he said he is going to take out Spivey, inch by inch, before taking the US title. Flair says that he and Double A now have chances to walk out with double gold tomorrow night and WOO it is going to be LIVE in Chicago! Mike Rotundo cut another promo on Jake Roberts talking about his collegiate background and how he’ll use that to take Roberts down and put him out for good! Roberts was once again sneaky… “A lot of people say that if you cut the grass shorter… you’ll be able to see the snake slithering through. Well what if that snake can get underground huh? You’ll be cutting forever but never finding what you’re looking for… that is until you turn around the and the snake is right there waiting for you. Mike Rotundo… I am right here brother… I am not going to wait any longer though… tomorrow night… you will be snake bit full of DDT! Lastly we get to hear from Sensational Sherri and she puts over her man, Bam Bam who says he is going into Wrigley tomorrow night and he is going to make history… they make fun of some of the losers tonight wasting their opportunities but then we see Chris Benoit walk out and get right in his face. Benoit says he is going to be the one across the ring from him… he says he has nothing to lose so Bam Bam better be ready for the fight of his life! Final Card for WrestleFest at Wrigley... The Jesters vs Los Conquistadors Paul Roma vs The Barbarian Konnan, Koko Ware, & Dragon Azul vs Vega, Castillo, & Perez Hacksaw Duggan & Maniac Matt vs The Nasty Boys Chris Benoit vs Bam Bam Bigelow w/ Sherri Jake Roberts vs Mike Rotundo WCW TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP The Z-Man © vs Arn Anderson WCW UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP Dan Spivey © vs Ric Flair INTERNATIONAL TRIPLE CROWN Tiger Mask II vs Great Muta (c) WCW CHAMPIONSHIP Randy Savage © w/ Elizabeth vs Hercules w/ Slick WCW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP CAGE MATCH Rockers vs Twin Towers (c)
Autistic Dragon
Gary Hart International is just about ready to implode. Borne and Duggan look solid as a unit. Rotundo doesn't know what he's agreed to. Flair and Double A are both poised for gold. The Wrestlefest is stacked. I don't know why but I really like the idea of Roma taking on the Barbarian.
Control21
As always, WCW opens shows up with some very tasty matches. Anderson vs Benoit and Tiger Mask II/Dragon Azul vs Chono and Crush sound excellent. The main event, as expected, delivered. The Rockers are one of the hottest tag teams in North America it seems. Benoit vs Bam Bam sounds like a mismatch. Bam Bam should win that easily.
LastStopTour
Good go home show before WrestleFest that did exactly what it needed to do by drumming up last minute interest for Chicago. Yup, looks like a really stacked show which I believe will see the change of several titles.
LowBlowPodcast
Sunday 7/30 - WCW WrestleFest @ Wrigley Field {This is a big time house show. It is being taped but not televised. The crowd seems to be about 18,000 - far less than WCW had hoped for the 40,000 that fill it during a baseball game. The ring is out in center field with a special WCW designed set. It is time to head to the ring and check out this special event from WGN Home Video Productions.} The Jesters vs Los Conquistadors {The clowns come out to play tonight against the Los Conquistadors. This one goes about 12-minutes to get the fans going… nothing too crazy. We see the Clowns play funny for a little bit but then the smiles turn upside down and they are vicious and mean. The ending is a double brainbuster. Rusty with the pin as Dusty nails Numero Dos. The Jesters smile and smile until they get out of the ring and then glare at the fans who look terrified.} Paul Roma vs The Barbarian {Here is a good showing for Paul Roma who brings everything he’s got to the Barbarian. A lot of big dropkicks and quick strikes gives Roma a chance to be in control but the power of Barbarian just takes over. A turning point is when Roma goes for a high cross body but Barb catches him and then hoists him up for a press into POWERSLAM! Barb gets in some more offense and works the neck and back before setting up Roma for a top rope shoulder block and then the 3-count! Barbarian is looking tough right now… who is going to be able to stop this guy?!} Konnan, Koko Ware, & Dragon Azul vs Vega, Castillo, & Perez {An okay six-man with the stench of lucha still in the air. This one goes a different direction though… we get some nice brawling from Vega and the PR Trio. Azul looks a little lost out there and ends up being more of a liability. Konnan and Vega go out of the ring and they hammer one another. Perez ends up getting caught with a huge dropkick off the top rope by Koko leading to the 3-count. The babyfaces get the win and some shine…} Hacksaw Duggan & Maniac Matt vs The Nasty Boys {A good debut for Maniac Matt who has all the tools in the ring but we’ll see if this gimmick helps him. He and Duggan are a fun pair though and they take the Nasty Boys apart and brawl all over the ringside area. The finish is a simple big clothesline from Duggan for the 3-count!} Chris Benoit vs Bam Bam Bigelow w/ Sherri {Chris Benoit wasn’t told he was an underdog. Benoit comes in here and gives everything he’s got but Bam Bam is on a new level right now. Bigelow is able to use his power and strength but the grit of Benoit is what keeps him going. The finish is a nasty powerslam in which Benoit lands on his head. The 3-count and Bigelow looks like he’s ready to take on the world.} Jake Roberts vs Mike Rotundo {Here’s one we’ve been waiting for and well…. These two don’t have chemistry. All the writing was on the wall but in the ring, Rotundo doesn’t bring out the best in Jake and vice versa. We get some good catch wrestling and some brawling but it is choppy and messy. The finish sees Rotundo come for a double leg but Roberts lifts his knee and knocks him silly… then Jake grabs the head and DDT! 1….2…3! Jake pulls out the snake and he is showing the world just how dangerous he can be…} WCW TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP The Z-Man © vs Arn Anderson {The Z-Man has his 15-minutes of fame here and he brings it. Anderson may have underestimated what Zenk could do… but for the length of this match these two leave it all in the ring. Zenk sells like he is in pain and agony. Anderson looks to be in complete control but Zenk is able to fight back and he has got some momentum going. A couple of huge dropkicks and Anderson is up against the ropes… Zenk runs and crossbodies both men over the top to the floor! Anderson and Zenk get some brawling in and then Zenk with another big dropkick and Anderson goes over the guardrail to the crowd! The referee is at 8…. Zenk rolls in the ring … 9….. 10!! Zenk is the winner via count out and he acts like he won the world title. Anderson looks a little dazed and confused right here. Zenk turns around and Anderson with a SPINEBUSTER for no good reason! Anderson walks out and holds his arms up high.} INTERNATIONAL TRIPLE CROWN Tiger Mask II vs Great Muta © w/ Gary Hart {A dream match of sorts… about 3-5 years too soon. Tiger Mask and Muta go toe to toe for 22-minutes. We see a moment where both men don’t stop and a series that ends up with a big head scissors from Tiger Mask and he’s got control. Gary Hart is losing his cool outside the ring. Muta is struggling. Tiger Mask then goes up to the ropes and here we see Muta run and kick the ropes for Tiger Mask to come down hard. Muta sets him up for a SUPERPLEX! It is a close two count. Muta gets some heat but Tiger Mask fights back… he is looking to finish with a Tiger Suplex but Muta leaps over Tiger Mask’s head… Tiger turns around and MYST! MYST! MYST! Tiger Mask is shaken and here comes Muta with a SPINNING HEEL KICK right to the skull! Muta goes up top… MOONSAULT for the 1…2….3! Muta has won it! Muta is the new International Triple Crown Champion! Look at that new belt!} WCW UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP Dan Spivey © vs Ric Flair {This one isn’t pretty either but we finally get to see Ric Flair in the ring and well… they don’t spend much time there. Spivey takes the fight outside the ring and these two are brawling all over the place. The referee lets it go and the fans are totally into it. Flair, the dirtiest player in the game, does what he does better than anyone else and brings the fight. Spivey doesn’t want to give him an inch though. It doesn’t take long before Arn Anderson makes his way back out to the ring. He is trying to get involved but Spivey isn’t having it. The referee finally calls for the bell when Anderson gets in the ring and he and Flair put a number on Spivey. They are hammering him down and really busting him up. Officials and agents run out to break this up but it looks like Spivey has some unfinished business with these two.} WCW CHAMPIONSHIP Randy Savage © w/ Elizabeth vs Hercules w/ Slick {The pomp and circumstance is all on point here for the Macho Man who comes out to defend his WCW title for the first time. Hercules looks like he’s in the shape of shapes and chiseled out of granite. Then the bell rang… and Savage did everything he could to keep this one interesting… but maybe Hercules wasn’t the best opponent. Hercules does get in some power and Savage sells like he is going to give it up… but hes the Macho Man! Savage comes back with some huge rights and lefts and he is in complete control now. The double ax handle smash from the top rope sets it up… TOP ROPE ELBOW! 1….2….3!!! Savage has won the match and retains the title. He works the fans and stands tall with the lovely Miss Elizabeth!} WCW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP CAGE MATCH Rockers vs Twin Towers © {The cage is set. The titles are on the line. Here we go and man do these four leave it all out in the ring. Early on we see Michaels and Jannetty both busted WIDE open. One Man Gang then gets busted and even the Bossman has some blood coming from his nose. The Towers have control and throw the Rockers from one side of the ring to the other. The Rockers then get an upperhand when Akeem gets locked in the ropes. They work over the Bossman. Slick is going wild outside the cage as Gang gets free and the Towers regain control. The Rockers look like they are done but a double dropkick on Bossman sends him into the ropes and his head gets caught between the middle and top rope! This is it! The Rockers then get control and they go after One Man Gang with everything they’ve got! A double bodyslam! Jannetty and Michaels go to the top of the cage… ROCKER DROPS for the 1…..2…..3!!! THE ROCKERS HAVE WON IT! THE ROCKERS ARE THE NEW WCW CHAMPIONS! THEY TAKE THE TITLES AND GO TO THE TOP OF THE CAGE TO CELEBRATE HERE IN FRONT OF THIS WRIGLEY CROWD! LastStopTour
Some of my predictions fell short. Still, good show with lots of action.
Control21
As predicted, Bam Bam had no problem with Benoit...great win by Muta over Tiger Mask II, that sounds like it was a great match. I guess we'll have to wait longer for Spivey and Flair to deliver in the ring, but it should be a worthwhile wait. Rockers vs Twin Towers was a fantastic main event with The Rockers really carrying their momentum forward.
Autistic Dragon
The Jesters show they aren't clowning around. Barbarian looks strong after a competitive win over Roma. Konnan leads his team to victory. Duggan and Matt are looking good together. Roberts wins a disappointing match with Rotundo. Muta retains in a nailbiter. Honestly surprised that neither Arn or Flair won a title. Savage withstands the power of the gods to retain his title. The Rockers get their belts back and definitely send the fans home happy.
