Awesome job continuing this small time feel.  The Power Half Hour was a nice touch.

A young Dundee with Bruno vs the Arkansas  Terrors is a nice feud that will sell some tickets.

Great job building up Ash vs Rose.  For the people here this is like Hogan-Flair.

Nice work and always a fun read.

News & Notes

1. Cody Michaels beat Brian Knighton again in the friendly match that saw fireworks afterwards when Knighton put the boots to Michaels after knocking him down with a short arm clothesline when they shook hands.

2. Dark Journey was one unhappy camper when her trio were thoroughly throttled by Jamie Dundee, Bruno Spazzinsky and Plowboy Frazier.

3. Tojo Yamamoto and the New Guinea Headhunter bloodied Reno Riggins as the two teams battled to a double disqualification. All four men brawled until the locker room cleared to pull them apart.

4. The main event saw Bill Ash square off against Pat Rose in the finals of the title tournament. This one went only 45 or so minutes after their 60 minute match a week and a half ago. Out of the view of the referee, Bill Ash clocked Rose with a roll of quarters and won the belt, albeit in a tainted match.

Buddy-Bert.png

Buddy Lee and Bert Prentice welcome everyone to International Pro Wrestling's exciting "Power  Half Hour"! Buddy Lee and Bert discuss last night's matches at the ASU Armory in Jonesboro and Bill Ash walking away with the IPW Title after defeating Pat Rose. An angry Bert Prentice talks about someone, anyone going to the Arkansas State Athletic Commission and complaining about the use of a foreign object to win the match and the title.

patrose-SM.jpg

Our hosts are joined by Pat Rose. After congratulating on his win at the top of the program they talk about his loss to Ash. Rose chuckles as he rubs the side of his face and says he's still feeling whatever Bill Ash hit him with. What's been done is done, so it is time to move forward and look at a rematch with Ash for that title ...

Not so fast ...

bill-ash-SM.jpg

Bill Ash comes out and can not believe what he's hearing. He beat Pat Rose less that 24 hours ago to become the IPW Champion and now Pat Rose is calling foul and demanding a rematch? That's not the way things work ...

Rose asks if Ash is afraid to face him again? Ash quickly cuts him off and says that he's a fighting champion ... Bert Prentice wants to know why a so called "fighting champion" would deny Pat Rose a rematch?

Things get a little testy as Ash tells Bert that if he shut his mouth, he'd explained to him so that even the hillbilly that Bert Prentice is could understand it. The boos and Ash tells them to shut up as well. Ash says he doesn't owe Pat Rose anything. He lost and now it is time to move to the end of the line and give someone else a shot at the gold. Bert says that is it customary to give a rematch but Bill Ash corrects him and says that might be the case if Pat Rose was the former champion or was at the very least the #1 Contender but we all know that isn't the case ...

rip3-SMJPG.jpg

Getting crowded in here as Rip Tyler comes out to join the foursome. Bert Prentice wants Rip to put Bill Ash in his place and make him defend against Pat Rose. Rip very quickly gains control of the situation, getting everyone to stop speaking. Now ... technically, Bill Ash is correct, He DOES NOT have to give Pat Rose a rematch BUT what he has to do is defend that title in the next 30 days and mark his words, one minute past that 30 day mark, if Mr. Ash has not defended that title, Rip Tyler will relieve him of that belt no ifs, ans or buts. Who is he required to defend that belt against? The #1 Contender. Right here, next week, he will announce just how we are going to determine who that is. He turns to Pat Rose and assures him that no matter how it is done, Pat Rose will be involved. Bill Ash starts to object but is quickly shut down. There won't be any funny business like there is in other places, he will see to that!

Buddy Lee throws it to a commercial!

x-x-x-x-x COMMERCIAL BREAK x-x-x-x-x

We go to the ring for our first match of the evening ...

Match #1
Cody Michaels versus Mountain Lou
Michaels shows his amateur wrestling prowess despite Lou's bigger frame. Tough going for the young man who eventually wears down his opponent and is able to get his shoulders down for the 1! 2! 3!

After the match, Cody Michaels joins the dynamic duo and they talk about his match last night against Brian Knighton. He says they had been having very competitive matches all over Arkansas but the attack after the match surprised him. He'd like to think it was an off night and let bygones be bygones because he thinks Knighton is a good kid but if this is the way he wants things to be, Cody Michaels is more than happy to show him the error of his ways.

After Michaels walks off, Bert Prentice reminds everyone ... TONIGHT! TONIGHT! TONIGHT! IPW returns to the Conway High School in Conway, Arkansas. Doors open at 6 and belltime is 7 sharp! The stars of International Pro Wrestling will all be in action!

x-x-x-x-x COMMERCIAL BREAK x-x-x-x-x

We return to the program with Bert and Buddy having been joined by tag team members Reno Riggins and Dancing Wolf. They talk about the upcoming Crockett Cup and the million dollar prize for winning. Riggins says that is a lot of money but they really are in the tournament to represent IPW and the fans from Arkansas. That gets a cheer. Regardless, that is still a hefty payday. When the team of Tojo Yamamoto and the New Guinea Headhunter are also going to be involved, Riggins thinks that is icing on the cake if they can get another crack as beating Tojo and the Headhunter.

Match #2
Non-title Match
Bill Ash (C) versus Johnny Weiss.
Non-title match up here but Ash puts the newcomer through his paces even toying with him at times. Pisses off the fans who are all too happy to let Ash hear their disapproval. He slaps Weiss around while talking to Pat Rose and telling him there is more of this just waiting for him. One Arkansas Whiplash ordered up and this one is over.

Ash yanks his belt away from the referee and struts around the ring.

Buddy Lee and Bert Prentice with a big thank you and a reminder to join us next week for more International Pro Wrestling action!

Tyler laying down the law telling Ash that he'll be strictly held to the 30 day rule and giving Rose a well deserved second chance.

Michaels is willing to bury the hatchet, as long as Knighton is willing to be square with him.

Appreciate the shout-out from Riggins & Wolf. Minor correction though, the Crockett Cup offers a full million dollar prize. You might have been thinking of PCW's upcoming tournament.

A Saturday evening show as IPW comes to a town near you, bringing the best in wrestling action!

Hosts Buddy Lee and Bert Prentice welcome everyone to the show, promising exciting wrestling action!

Match #1
The American versus the Enforcer.
Pair of masked men but the red, white and blue Avenger is able to roll up The Enforcer.

Match #2
Jamie Dundee, Bruno Spazzinsky and Mountain Lou versus the Arkansas Terrors and The Ninja w/Dark Journey.
6-man action with Bruno taking a licking before Lou has The Ninja launched at him by his cohorts. Dundee fights for the comeback which is cut short when the Terrors superkick him  and Big Lou. Lou is pinned and Dundee and Spazzinsky brawl all the way to the back against the Terrors.

Match # 3
The New Guinea Headhunter w/Tojo Yamamoto versus Johnny Weiss.
Kind of a one-sided match before the Headhunter finally applies his Nerve Grip and putting Weiss to sleep.

Big to do after the match when the referee wants the Headhunter to revive his opponent.. The Headhunter refuses to do so but Tojo agrees to with a shot across the back with the kendo stick.

Intermission.
Buddy Lee and Bert Prentice talk to Arkansas native Bill Ash who shows off his belt. Ash pays his opponent a compliment of sorts saying he comes from a solid family with a father that was one of the Assassins. Prentice comments on Ash paying Tim Renesto a compliment which is quickly waved off ... he said good but meant he is nowhere near the wrestling class and prowess of himself

Match #4
Bill Ash (C) versus Tim Renesto.
The speedy Renesto comes out fired up and takes it to Ash. They go back and forth trying to regain control but Ash finally catches him and drops him with the Arkansas Whiplash,

Buddy Lee and Bert Prentice thank everyone for sharing their Saturday with them and that IPW will return to Conway!

Well, he did it. Knighton finally looses it and snaps.

Ash wins the title! I'm sure the fans were up and cheering LOL. Ash as champ will be nuclear heat!

Rip comes out and tells it like it is. Looking forward to how he chooses the number one contender. BTW, you have to love the commissioner's tough trucker look.

Michaels gives Knighton a pass. We'll see how Knighton reacts. I'm enjoying this storyline.

Reno and Wolf put over the Crockett Cup.

The show ends on a high note, with a showcase from the champ. Ash always delivers.

Conway,

Dark Journey finally gets to celebrate.

No doubt about it, a kendo stick shot from Tojo would defiantly wake you up.

The fans get a fun main event with Ash retaining over Renesto.

Things are really clicking here, especially with Ash headlining.

Sunday matinee as IPW comes to a town near you, bringing the best in wrestling action!

Hosts Buddy Lee and Bert Prentice welcome everyone to the show, promising exciting wrestling action!

Match #1
Brian Knighton versus The American.
The masked red, white and blue warrior gets jumped before the bell. Not such a friendly match as most of Knighton's previous work. The American has the fans behind him and comes back but Knighton's newfound attitude and shortcuts taken proves to be the difference here as he is able to pick up the win.

Match #2
Jamie Dundee, Bruno Spazzinsky & Tim Renesto versus the Arkansas Terrors & The Enforcer w/Dark Journey.
6-man action that sees the speed and youth of "the Good Guys" overcome Dark Journey's troops when Jamie pins The Enforcer with the Bomb's Away finisher.

After the match, the victors join our hosts ringside, high-fiving with an excited Bert Prentice. A very polite Jamie is happy to be here in West Memphis doing what he's wanted to do his entire life. Tim Renesto, a second generation wrestler, just like Jamie understand where he is coming from. He's happy to have been a part of it and to help these youngsters beat Dark Journey's men. A chuckling Bert says that Tim's not that much older than Jamie and Bruno himself. Bert lets the cat out of the bag that Tim is the son of Tom Renesto Sr. who made waves in these parts as one of the Assassins. He asks about Tim finding himself a partner and having a go in the tag division? Renesto politely declines.

Match # 3
The New Guinea Headhunter w/Tojo Yamamoto versus Dancing Wolf.
The ref is all over Tojo from the outset to stay out of the match, watching him like a hawk, effectively neutralizing him. This leaves the two combatants to have to fend for themselves in this hard hitting match. While the Headhunter is able to apply his nerve hold several times, Dancing Wolf is able to force a break by getting to the ropes. Despite showing signs of problems with his arm, the rain-dancing DW is able to strike with an effective diving Tomahawk Chop for the pinfall.

Intermission.
Buddy Lee and Bert Prentice are joined by Commissioner Rip Tyler to talk about the Crowning of a #1 Contender. Tyler talks about an 8 man tournament kicking off next weekend on TV! He claims there is a reason IPW TV is called the most exciting Power Half Hour in professional wrestling today! As for the participants, Tyler talks about looking at some of the territory's very best and good to his promise, the #1 draw in the tournament is Pat Rose. Mr. Rose has taken Bill Ash to the limit several times now and is deserving at a chance to be the #1 Contender but that  by no means endorses how the tournament will end up because Mr. Rose will still have to go through three men before getting to Bill Ash.

Match #4
Tojo Yamamoto w/The New Guinea Headhunter versus Plowboy Frazier.
Big one here despite being in slow motion compared to the other matches. The two chop and punch each other. They go back and forth until Tojo gets splashed hard in the corner. With the Plowboy ready to do it a second time, the Headhunter jumps in and attacks the big man drawing the referee to call for the bell immediately. We get a two on one situation with Tojo bringing in the kendo stick to do more damage ... but the cavalry arrives in Jamie Dundee, Bruno Spazzinsky, Tim Renesto and Dancing Wolf! The fans go crazy as Tojo and the Headhunter bail and make a run for the back!

Buddy Lee thanks everyone for sharing their Sunday afternoon here in West Memphis, Arkansas and to drive home safely!

Knighton's turn to the dark side is already paying off.

Renesto may be willing to lend a hand in a six man tag occasionally but he's dedicated to a singles run.

DW overcomes a bad arm to beat the Headhunter.

Rise should be satisfied with being the #1 seed in the tournament.

Frazier gets on the wrong end of a 2-1 beat down but the face locker room clears out to help.

Well, it looks like Knighton's heel turn is paying off. Looking forward to his next match with Michaels.

Good to see young Jamie using his Dad's finisher. Renesto could be a great story here, especially with the history of his father.

Wolf gets the sympathy and the win. Babyface work at its finest.

The tournament will be must see TV. I remember when GCW did this type of tournament on TV and as a kid I loved seeing all these competitive matches. BTW, Jack Brisco won it and faced Flair for the world title.

Two big names in IPW face off in the main event and the fans get chaos at the end. Money well spent.

Sorry for falling a little behind here but a family vacation has gotten in the way.  Again, awesome job on the graphics as I love the newspaper article.  You continue to prove that professional wrestling is all about the storytelling and not so much the names. You have turned Bill Ash and Pat Rose into one of the biggest feuds in our game.  Really enjoying this small territory feel.  Smart idea picking Arkansas as this is all very believable.

Buddy Lee and Bert Prentice welcome everyone to International Pro Wrestling's exciting "Power  Half Hour"! Buddy Lee and Bert are joined by Commissioner Rip Tyler to discuss the start of tonight's tournament to crown a new #1 Contender to Bill Ash's title. Tyler talks about an 8-man blind draw tournament. True to his word, the #1 draw was Pat Rose due to his past matches and success against Bill Ash.

We start today with two matches and two more next week. The next round will be the following week which will bring us to the finals.

Rip wants to address the upcoming Crockett Cup and IPW's representation with two teams going. First, we have Reno Riggins and Dancing Wolf and the team of Tojo Yamamoto and the New Guinea Headhunter. Should make for some fireworks if these two somehow meet in the tournament. The best teams in all of professional wrestling vie for the prestige as well as the 1 million dollar prize.

Buddy Lee throws it to a commercial!

x-x-x-x-x COMMERCIAL BREAK x-x-x-x-x

We go to the ring for our first match of the evening ...

Match #1
#1 Contender Tournament
Ken Jugan versus Brian Knighton
Jugan runs into a buzzsaw of a brawling Brian Knighton. Jugan is able to settle down and fight his way back into the match. Knighton with something pulled from his tights hits Jugan and sets him up for a kneedrop off the middle ropes. Brian Knighton moves on in the tournament.

After the match, Knighton joins our hosts and is asked about his last match with Cody Michaels who said he would write it off as Knighton having a bad day and let bygones be bygones ...

https://i.postimg.cc/CLdsQ6Rm/cody-michaels.jpg

Cody Michaels comes out to a cheer. He talks about the matches he and Knighton have had the past few weeks. He thinks Knighton is going to go places with his career. He's a very good wrestler. He thinks their last meeting was a one time thing and would like to bury the hatchet right here and now. Michaels holds his hand out ...

Knighton nods his head as Michaels speaks and slowly reaches out ...

HOLD THE PHONE!

DJSM.jpg

The fans boo as Dark Journey makes her way out. She says that while Cody Michaels is willing to let bygones be bygones and forgive and forget "IF" Brian Knighton apologizes for his "behavior" that makes it all well and good. The way she sees it, Cody Michaels is the one who owes Brian an apology ... an apology for taking advantage of Mr. Knighton's good nature. She advises "her client" NOT to shake hands with Cody Michaels and to NOT allow him to take advantage of you. Bert Prentice begs Brian Knighton to NOT listen to this jezebel because it is all a lie! The fans back Bert's take on it as she takes Brian's arm and starts to lead him away since he is NOT going to get an apology from Cody Michaels but not to worry, she'll prove that she means business and will take care of Brian Knighton!

HERE COME THE ARKANSAS TERRORS!

The two masked men jump Cody Michaels and give him a beatdown! This is what happens when you cross Dark Journey! They leave Cody Michaels laying as Buddy Lee sends us to a commercial break!

x-x-x-x-x COMMERCIAL BREAK x-x-x-x-x

We return to the program with Bert and Buddy discussing what went on before the break with Cody Michaels getting assistance to get to the back where he will receive medical attention. Bert is beside himself wanting Dark Journey to pay for this somehow! Buddy Lee says they'll keep the fans abreast of Cody Michael's condition.

Bert Prentice reminds everyone ... TONIGHT! TONIGHT! TONIGHT! IPW returns to the Greene County Fair Grounds in Paragould, Arkansas. Doors open at 6 and bell time is 7 sharp! The stars of International Pro Wrestling will all be in action!

Match #2
#1 Contender Tournament
Arkansas Terror #1 w/Dark Journey, Arkansas Terror #2 and Brian Knighton versus Pat Rose
Everything Pat Rose does is greeted with a cheer while just the opposite for the masked Terror. Wrestling clinic by Rose keeping it on the mat in the middle of the ring so he can keep an eye on DJ and her troops.

She tries to distract the referee but the veteran Rose is wise to it, keeping away from the corners. A double sledge to work the back, Rose is able to wrap up #1 with an abdominal stretch. Torquing his body, Pat Rose gets the result he wanted as the Terror "cries uncle" and submits. Pat Rose moves on.

Buddy Lee and Bert Prentice with a big thank you and a reminder to join us next week for more International Pro Wrestling action! They wish everyone a Happy Easter to end the program.

The show's all about Knighton as he advances in the tournament and hooks up with Dark Journey! More heel heat as the Terrors give Michaels a beating. This feud was so well done. Slow burn classic as it started with babyface matches. Knighton's building frustration and then the breakdown. And now aligning with IPW's top heel manager. So good!

And let's not forget that there's a number one contender's tournament going on. Favorite Pat Rose advances.

Liked the Crockett Cup shout out. I wonder if IPW's teams will meet?

It really was Knighton's episode. His new mean streak advances him in the tournament and his new alliance with Dark Journey and the Terrors could take him the rest of the way.

I've been watching a show called Music City Wrestling where Prentice is a on-air personality and I think you've done a great job capturing his character even without writing dialogue. Between his temper and his somewhat problematic attitude towards women (by today's standards) I can easily picture him in my head in these scenarios.

Rose spoils DJ's night by eliminating one of her Terrors. One step closer to his rematch with Ash.

Greene County Fair Grounds
Paragould, Arkansas

A Saturday night wrestling at the Greene County Fair Grounds Pavillion, bringing the best in wrestling action!

Hosts Buddy Lee and Bert Prentice welcome everyone to the show, promising exciting wrestling action!

Match #1
The American versus Johnny Weiss
The flag waving American comes in and gets right to work. He has Weiss "crying uncle" with a figure four leglock.

Match #2
Mountain Lou versus Tim Renesto.
David versus Goliath. The speedy Renesto stays out of the way of the big man and wears him down with hit and run tactics. Lou comes crashing down when Renesto comes flying off the top rope with a flying body press.

Match # 3
Jamie Dundee, Bruno Spazzinsky & Plowboy Frazier versus The Arkansas Terrors & Brian Knighton w/Dark Journey
Six man action that sees the Plowboy take down all three opponents in the early going. Each man given time to shine in what could be considered a "B-Card" with some of the top talent given time off for Easter.

Several comedy spots that sees Jamie Dundee chase Dark Journey around the ring with her screaming bloody murder before being pulled to the outside. Spazzinsky flattens everyone on the outside with a dive off the top.

Things go bad for the faces when DJ's new hired gun takes down both Dundee and Spazzinsky with a double clothesline before getting nearly knocked out of his boots by Plowboy. Dark Journey with a spritz of something in the eyes allowed Knighton to pick up the pinfall on the big guy with no one to save him.

Intermission.
Buddy Lee and Bert Prentice thank everyone for coming out this evening and wish everyone a Happy Easter.

Match #4
Reno Riggins versus the New Guinea Headhunter
No Tojo to keep his man in check for a hard hitting mosh that sees Riggins busted open early. The two go back and forth until the Headhunter is able to slap his nerve hold on Riggins. Does not look good but with the fans scream support, is able to get to the ropes. The Headhunter refuses to let go of the hold when told to break but a persistant referee yanks him away. The monster looks ready to put the hold on the ref but Riggins acts fast and schoolboys his opponent for the 1! 2! 3!

Riggins and the ref bail from the ring, leaving the Headhunter in the ring, kicking at the ropes.

Buddy Lee and Bert Prentice wish everyone a safe trip home after promising that IPW will return to Paragould! A Happy Easter to all!

Nothing like a true patriot to get things going.

Renesto is rising up the ranks and could give Ash a serious challenge.

The heel turn has certainly paid off for both Knighton and DJ

Another heated contest between Headhunter and Riggins. I agree with AD, well booked finish.

Again, I am jealous of your graphics.  Cool titles.  Feel free to add a title history page in our opening page.

Really enjoying how you continue to develop your angles.  This is very realistic and so fun to follow.  A manager like Dark Journey brings the heat and a one-time interview can give you weeks of action.

Looking forward to seeing who gets those tag belts.
