It also made it to the Hart and Soul dvd set.

Had to look that DVD and the match list up - good catch!

In typical WWE fashion, they spread a bunch of quality stuff out over a few DVDs years apart. I think I was hoping for Stampede stuff on that one and it seemed like a hodge podge set so I blanked on that one (not that I'm an expert on WWE DVDs 😋). Anything else on that DVD that you'd recommend?

It is, but it made me wonder why they don't ever promote this stuff like....at all.  Cody is the so called QB1 of WWE but they can't ever say "wanna see his dad in action and find out why he's so great? check out the vault on youtube!".  This company is such a big fan of multi generation wrestlers, then act like they were all hatched from an egg.

The 1985 Bash dropping in full is one of the best things they’ve done in a while.

Also as someone who grew up on JCP and saw about a million commercials for the VHS of this show,  finally getting to see this show is a personal holy grail.

Me and my brother agreed it would be cool if they showed old matches before big stadium shows, ideally from the same city they’re in. We noticed this before the Royal Rumble in Indy, as we were piling in they had all these screens just showing nothing interesting.

The one match they should have put on at least there, is Hogan/Andre ‘88 with the Hebner brothers saga. It was the debut of the winged eagle belt (a prop for that nights title match), had the biggest television audience for a wrestling match, and emanated from the same city.

For anyone like me who missed 99% of prime/golden era NXT, it looks like they have a WWE NXT YouTube page. It launched Nov 2024 and looks to have a good number of older matches and events available. Better late than never 😋 Might have to check this out down the road.

They just posted  this one. It says 1985 but it looks like footage from '75 based on the graininess. Definitely something you could believe was stored in an actual vault 🙂
