Southwest Championship Wrestling @ San Antonio, TX - The HemisFair Arena 9/4/83 Terry Adonis & Bruiser Costa vs. Masked Wildfire & Jimmy Doo - The Masked Wildfire from Hendersonville, TN started the match with some fire, outmaneuvering Terry Adonis and arm dragging him around the ring but things went downhill once Wildfire made the tag to Jimmy Doo. Terry Adonis & Bruiser Costa looked like a well oiled machine against Doo, keeping him in their corner and working him over, making quick tags in and out and keeping the referee distracted so the man on the apron could choke Jimmy Doo with the tag rope. Bruiser Costa finished off Jimmy Doo with a running senton after bodyslaming him to the mat. Winners: Terry Adonis & Bruiser Costa in 5:42 after a running senton from Bruiser Costa onto Jimmy Doo Tiny Anderson w/Mike Masters vs. Mike Jackson - Mike Masters had Tiny Anderson doing jumping jacks while they waited for Mike Jackson to come down to the ring and then once the bell ring, Tiny Anderson was out of breath and quickly got taken down by Mike Jackson with a headlock takeover. Jackson worked the headlock until Mike Masters jumped up on the apron and Jackson let the headlock go to dropkick Masters down off the apron! Jackson turned back around into a clothesline from Tiny Anderson but Anderson was too out of breath to follow up, as he stood in the ring sucking wind with his hands on his knees. Mike Masters berated Tiny Anderson, telling him to attack but once Tiny turned his attention back to Mike Jackson, Jackson arm dragged him over and put him in an arm bar. Once it became clear that Anderson couldn't work his way out of the hold, Masters jumped up on the apron again and this time Jackson responded by whipping Anderson into the ropes at him and Masters quickly jumped down off the apron to avoid the collision. Anderson bounced off the ropes and then Mike Jackson started to crisscross from the other side but Masters grabbed his foot and tripped him while the referee wasn't looking. Anderson quickly followed up with a splash and pinned Mike Jackson while Masters held Jackson's feet down from the outside. After the match Tiny Anderson looked like he was about to pass out from a lack of oxygen while Mike Jackson tried to tell the referee about the interference of Mike Masters. Winner: Tiny Anderson in 7:13 after interference from Mike Masters Eddie Gilbert & Ken Lucas vs. Ali Bey & Mike Fever - Eddie Gilbert and Ken Lucas looked great in their first match teaming together with Ken Lucas starting the match against Ali Bey and frustrating the Turk then Eddie Gilbert coming in once Ali Bey tagged in Mike Fever. Eddie Gilbert finished off Mike Fever with a Top Rope Missile Dropkick and then pinned him while Ken Lucas cut off Ali Bey from making a save. Winners: Eddie Gilbert & Ken Lucas in 5:21 after a Top Rope Missile Dropkick on Mike Fever by Eddie Gilbert Eddy Mansfield vs. Roy Lee Welch - Eddy Mansfield jumped Roy Lee Welch as soon as he came into the ring and was all over him at the start of the match. Mansfield came close to getting disqualified as he continued to choke Roy Lee Welch on the ropes, only breaking at the count of 4 and then quickly going back to the choke. Eddy then worked over Welch for a bit with the chinlock until Roy Lee Welch started to comeback but Mansfield then cut him off with a clothesline! The Continental Lover went to the second rope for a legdrop but Welch moved out of the way and Mansfield landed hard on the canvas! Welch got up and tried to put the Spinning Toehold on Mansfield but Mansfield kicked him off and Welch went crashing into referee Juan Reynosa who went flying out of the ring. While the referee was down, Mansfield started to take a chain out of his tights and wrap it around his fist but Welch saw him doing it and took out his own chain and wrapped it around his fist! Mansfield went for a punch with the chain and Welch ducked it then Welch tried for his own but Mansfield dodged out of the way and then both men landed punches at the same time! Juan Reynosa got back in the ring to see both men laid out on the mat with chains wrapped around their fists and called the match off! Result: Draw in 8:12 after a Double DQ Steve Pardee vs. Mike Masters - Steve Pardee opened the match by offering a handshake but Masters responded by flexing. Pardee wanted to lock up but Masters was more interested in strutting and flexing which started to get Pardee ticked off. Pardee charged at Masters but Masters quickly went out through the ropes to cause the referee to push Pardee back. Mike Masters tried for a cheapshot while Pardee was being pushed back but Pardee blocked it and fired back with a right hand of his own. Masters ducked out of the ring and started complaining to the referee about Pardee's closed fist only to have the referee respond by starting to count him out. Masters started to get back into the ring when suddenly a masked man ran out of the locker room and attacked Steve Pardee! The referee immediately called for a disqualification when the masked man started to hammer on Pardee and hit a big backbreaker on him. Winner: Steve Pardee won in 4:32 by DQ after someone in a mask ran in and attacked him. The masked man started to stomp on Pardee when suddenly Mike Masters got back in the ring and started shoving him! Masters complained about the masked man causing him to lose by DQ. It looked like they were about to come to blows when Lord Alfred Hayes ran out and tried to play peacemaker. Masters got in Lord Alfred's face and the masked man shoved him back. Mike Masters was getting ready to throw a punch when suddenly Steve Pardee got up and drop kicked the masked man in the back and knocked him into Mike Masters who fell down. Lord Alfred Hayes cleared out of the ring and Steve Pardee grabbed the masked man and tossed him out of the ring after Lord Alfred Hayes! Pardee called for him to come back and fight but Lord Alfred Hayes instead grabbed him and they started back to the locker room together. Pardee turned around to see Mike Masters in his face! Pardee offered a handshake to Mike Masters for stopping the beatdown on him by Lord Alfred's newest charge and to the shock of the crowd Mike Masters accepted! Pardee & Masters shook hands but then suddenly Masters pulled Pardee in and grabbed the Full Nelson on him! Masters swung him around a bit before hitting a Full Nelson slam and left Pardee lying in the ring to a chorus of boos from the HemisFair crowd. Omar Atlas & Mil Mascaras vs. Jose Lothario & Mr. Mexico - Mascaras started the match for his team against Mr. Mexico and quickly took him down to the mat and maintained control with various holds. Mil tied him Mr. Mexico and started to untie his mask when Jose came in blasted Mascaras with a right hand. That allowed Mr. Mexico to break free and get to the corner to make a tag. Jose came in and started to work Mascaras over with some punches until Mascaras ducked a punch and then knocked Jose down with a big forearm and made the tag out to Omar Atlas. Omar Atlas came in and tried to lock up with Jose but instead caught a knee to the midsection and then got blasted with a big uppercut. Jose tossed Atlas into his corner and then he and Mr. Mexico started double teaming him while Mil Mascaras tried to make the save only to be held back by the referee. Jose and Mr. Mexico made a switch without a tag while the referee was busy getting Mascaras out of the ring and Mr. Mexico came in and put Atlas in a front facelock. Atlas managed to fight his way of the front facelock but immediately Jose ran in and hit him with a cheapshot which allowed Mr. Mexico to put him back in the front facelock. Atlas made it to the ropes and the referee called for a break but while Mr. Mexico distracted the referee, Jose choked him on the ropes. Mr. Mexico went for a suplex but Atlas reversed it and both men started to crawl towards their corner. Mr. Mexico got their first and tagged in Jose and Jose caused the referee to miss Atlas' tag out to Mascaras! While the referee was busy arguing with Mascaras about not seeing his tag, Mr. Mexico picked up Atlas into a Piledriver and then Jose spiked him down and then made the cover. The referee turned back around to see the pin and made the count of 3. Mil Mascaras came in and argued with the referee while Jose & Mr. Mexico celebrated their victory. Winners: Jose Lothario & Mr. Mexico in 11:44 after a Spike Piledriver on Omar Atlas Jim Duggan vs. Col. Buck Robley - Robley spent the early part of this match on his backfoot, trying to stay away from the big 'Hacksaw.' Finally Duggan got tired of chasing him and stood in the middle of the ring with his hands on his hips. Robley tried to offer a handshake and Duggan shook his hand and started crushing it which put Robley down on his knees. Duggan then blasted Robley with a punch which dropped Robley down to the mat and Duggan backed off and again stood in the middle of the ring with his hands on his hips. Robley circled him, sizing up the big man and then tried to charge at him only to a big right hand that put him back down on the mat. Duggan tried to pick Robley up and body slam him but Robley raked the eyes and then put the big man in a headlock to try and control him. Robley tried to really wrench on the headlock but Duggan just wriggled his hips to let the crowd know he was fine and then picked the Colonel up and dropped him across his knee in a big atomic drop! Robley rolled out of the ring and decided to head back to the locker room but Duggan went out after him and grabbed him and tossed him back in the ring. Robley caught Duggan with a boot to the face as he was coming between the ropes and then Robley kicked, pounded, punched, clawed and scratched at the big man doing everything he could to try and maintain his advantage. Robley went to whip Duggan into the ropes but the big man didn't budge! Robley tried again only to have Duggan reverse it and send Robley into the ropes and then come off the other side with a huge Spear! Duggan covered him for the count of 3 and another big win for the 'Hacksaw.' Winner: 'Hacksaw' Jim Duggan in 9:07 with a Spear Duggan celebrated to the roar of the crowd when suddenly he got blasted in the back with chairshot from Bruiser Brody! Duggan only staggered but didn't go down but when he turned around he got blasted in the face with another chairshot and dropped to the mat! Brody climbed up to the top rope and came down hard on Jim Duggan with a big knee drop! Brody started to climb the top rope again when suddenly The Fabulous Ones ran out to the ring with chairs and Brody saw them coming and dropped down off the top rope and left the ring as The Fabs got in. Brody talked some trash to The Fabs from ringside but eventually decided he'd done what he came for and left. The Fabulous Ones helped a bloody Jim Duggan back to his feet and then referee Juan Reynosa helped him out of the ring but Duggan pushed Reynosa off of him and walked back to the locker room on his own. AWA World Tag Team Titles: The Fabulous Ones vs. The Wild Bills - The Wild Bills tried to attack with their bull ropes before the match started but The Fabs were ready for it and it turned into a tug of war instead. The Fabs let go after a short struggle which The Wild Bills didn't expect and it sent them flying backwards and The Fabs rushed in and started beating the hell out of them! The referee got the bull ropes and the AWA World Tag Team Titles out of the ring and then just decided to ring the bell and start the match. All 4 men started out in the ring and things were an out of control brawl for the first few minutes until finally things settled down into a normal tag match with Bill Irwin and Stan Lane in the ring with their partners outside on the apron. Irwin caught a kick from Stan Lane and then blasted him with a clothesline which allowed The Wild Bills to take control. The Bills kept Lane in their corner and kept tagging in and out while just beat the hell out of Stan but couldn't keep his shoulders down on the mat. Finally after a few minutes of watching his partner get beat on and being held out of the ring by referee Jack Howe, Steve Keirn went around on the outside and pulled Bil Irwin down off the apron and started brawling with him outside. Keirn whipped Irwin into the guardrail and then slammed his head into the ringpost and left him laid out on the arena floor and went back into his corner. Billy Jack tried to maintain control but eventually Stan Lane managed to go through his legs and make the tag out to Steve Keirn! Keirn came in and went to work on Billy Jack and then all 4 men ended up back inside the ring, brawling in opposite corners. The Fabs took control and whipped The Wild Bills into each other and then Steve Keirn blasted Billy Jack with a Flying Forearm while Stan Lane hit a Russian Legsweep on Bill Irwin. Keirn went for the cover on Billy Jack when suddenly David Von Erich ran in with his Southwest Tag Team Title and slammed it down across Keirn's back, causing a disqualification! Stan Lane tried to attack David Von Erich but only got a belt to the face for his troubles! Winners: The Fabulous Ones by DQ in 14:10 after interference by David Von Erich David Von Erich and The Wild Bills started to beatdown The Fabulous Ones when a bandaged Jim Duggan ran out and grabbed The Wild Bills' bullrope and started swinging it around, causing everyone to clear out of the ring! The Wild Bills & David ran back to the locker room as Duggan challenged all of them to come back and fight!

Agreed 100%. Which is why it kind of baffles me that it feels like there are less than 10 people on here who have signed up.
-
My entire thoughts on the matter were summed up by saying "interesting numbers." I'll let everyone else argue over what they do/don't mean. Not saying that to be a dick but I just thought they were interesting numbers when I read them and I posted them just because they fit in this thread.
-
Interesting numbers here:
-
Only doing a tag list and not a top 100 but he'd absolutely be on my list somewhere in the 60-75 range. I keep hoping WWE will do SOMETHING with him I mean damn he had a great series of matches with Hornswoggle of all people.
-
Anyone who has a subscription and hasn't watched the Lanny Poffo/Barry Orton match yet should check it out. Much better than you would probably think it is on paper. I am also hoping we get some more of El Bracero soon because he was really fun in that Tully match. I think I saw a result of Bracero/Hector Guerrero vs. Midnight Express which I can't imagine is anything less than really good. And obviously, if you haven't signed up yet what the heck are you waiting for? Not only are there a ton of awesome matches in great video quality on the site but there are more coming every day. And if you're still waiting on WWE Network to ever do anything with the massive amount of territory footage they have and are doing absolutely nothing with, what better way to motivate them than to make NWAClassics.com a big success?
-
Yea I need to see the first few months of 1984 so I can figure out when Masao Ito gets into this thing.
-
There have only been maybe 3-4 matches I've watched of the 60+ that I've seen so far that I didn't like. And they were all pretty obvious going into it. I pretty much knew what I was going to get out of Ivan Putski vs. Abdullah the Butcher. The only match I didn't like that I actually thought was going to be good was the 6 man tag with Tito/Duggan/JYD vs. Butch Reed/Darsow/Volkoff. That's a pretty good ratio especially considering I've watched more of the "lesser name" stuff like Pat Rose/Mark Ragin than the other people posting in this thread. I've also had the good sense to avoid anything with Terry Taylor that goes more than 5 minutes so that might skew the ratio a bit.
-
I was most likely going to have him debut and then announce it here, following the same format of writing Cook out before announcing the deal. I haven't even figured out whether I'm going to bring the guy in as a face or a heel yet though.
-
For the spreadsheet people, Charlie Cook has been traded to Southeastern. I'll announce the other part of the deal later on once Boon finishes him up.
-
Agreeing with this 100%. This place is much better when it sticks hard to the "pro wrestling only" mantra.
-
One thing I didn't understand, did the Intercontinental Title change hands or not? I'm not sure how a blood loss stoppage wouldn't lead to a title change but it didn't seem like it did. I appreciate your realistic use of Mascaras. JYD's promo was something else.
-
I just watch the shit and say whether I liked it or not. I don't enjoy doing full match recaps or trying to delve too deep into what makes a match work although I have no problem telling you why I don't like a match if I don't enjoy it. The only full recaps I do are on the Southeastern/Continental TV episodes since that stuff is overlooked.

Taped at The Junction in San Antonio, TX on 8/29 Southwest Championship Wrestling airing on Saturday 9/3 in local markets -Show intro- Steve Stack: Welcome to another edition of Southwest Championship Wrestling! We have an exciting hour of action in store today where we'll see the semi final match in the Southwest TV Title tournament with Ron Starr facing off against Eddy Mansfield, we'll also see Charlie Cook take on Eddie Gilbert in our main event with Charlie Cook demanding a rematch and vowing to leave the area if he doesn't win the match. We'll also be talking about some of the fallout from last Sunday night's HemisFair Arena card that saw Jim Duggan banish Sheik Adnan Al-Kaissie from Texas for one year, Mil Mascaras defeat Jose Lothario by disqualification and The Wild Bills retain the AWA World Tag Team Titles in controversial fashion. In fact right now I'm going to bring in the President of the AWA, Stanley Blackburn to talk about that match and the repercussions. -Stanley Blackburn comes into the interview area Stanley Blackburn: Last Sunday night the AWA World Tag Team Champions retained their titles over The Fabulous Ones after interference from their manager Colonel Buck Robley. In light of this I have decided that The Wild Bills must return to Texas this Sunday night and defend their titles again this time with Buck Robley barred from ringside! The AWA takes the integrity of it's titles very seriously and does not want to see the titles retained in this fashion. However, due to the very busy schedule of The Wild Bills, if The Fabulous Ones do not win the titles this Sunday night there will be no immediate rematch granted and the Southwest Tag Team Champions will be considered the number one contenders to the World Titles going forward. Steve Stack: Well fans you just heard from the President of the AWA, this Sunday night there will be a rematch between The Fabulous Ones and The Wild Bills! You're gonna want to make sure you're at The HemisFair Arena because without Buck Robley at ringside we could very well see new World Tag Team Champions crowned! Speaking of new champions crowned, don't go away because immediately following this break we will see Ron Starr and Eddy Mansfield square off to decide who will face David Von Erich next week in the finals of the Southwest Television Title tournament! -First Commercial Break- vs. Eddy Mansfield got back up with the chain still wrapped around his fist and swung at Starr but Starr ducked it and hit an atomic drop on Eddy Mansfield that sent him flying over the top rope! Starr watched Mansfield getting back up on the outside and challenged him to get back in the ring. Mansfield looked like he was about to get back in when suddenly he got a frightened look on his face and ran back to the locker room! The crowd in The Junction started screaming for Ron Starr to turn around and when he did he was suddenly standing face to face with the nearly 400 pound Madman From Sudan, Abdullah the Butcher! Abdullah immediately spiked Ron Starr in the head with a fork he came carrying into the ring with him and started carving his forehead up! Referee Juan Reynosa tried to pull the fork away from Abdullah and received a stabbing of his own in response! Ron Starr got up bleeding and tried to battle back against the nearly 400 pounder but was quickly overwhelmed and sent back down to the mat! Abdullah bounced off the ropes and came down on Ron Starr's ribs with a huge elbowdrop! Jimmy Doo and Mike Jackson ran down to the ring to try and get Ron Starr out but they only received stabs to the forehead for their trouble! Abdullah dropped 3 more big elbows on the ribs of Ron Starr before finally Jim Duggan ran out to the ring! Abdullah tried to stab Duggan with the fork but Duggan grabbed Abby's arm and then blasted him with a big punch that sent the Madman from Sudan reeling! Duggan then hit him with a big clothesline that sent the big man out through the ropes and then Duggan held his ground and Abdullah the Butcher decided he'd had enough and disappeared out the back door of The Junction while Duggan tended to Ron Starr in the ring. Steve Stack: Fans I don't know what just happened! Abdullah the Butcher seemed to appear out of nowhere and just brutalized Ron Starr! I don't know what the reason is, why would Abdullah the Butcher come here to Southwest Championship Wrestling to attack Ron Starr? We have to take a break while we get some help out here to get Ron Starr out of the ring! Second Commercial Break Steve Stack: Standing with me once again is the President of the AWA, Stanley Blackburn who has something he wants to say about the attack on Ron Starr at the hands of Abdullah the Butcher! Stanley Blackburn: First of all I want to apologize to the people at home who had to see that disgusting display! Those types of actions are ones that I don't want to have associated with the AWA or Southwest Championship Wrestling! Attacking a man with a fork and carving up his forehead has nothing to do with the sport of professional wrestling! And because of those actions I want to state right now that regardless of whether Ron Starr or anyone else wants to get revenge on Abdullah the Butcher inside the ring for what just took place, I will NOT sanction Abdullah the Butcher to wrestle under the AWA banner! From here on out, Abdullah the Butcher is barred from ALL AWA sanctioned events! Maybe this brutality is accepted in Japan or other parts of the United States where he wrestles but it will NOT be tolerated under my watch! -Stanley Blackburn leaves the set Steve Stack: Well fans that may be the first and last time we ever see Abdullah the Butcher here on Southwest Championship Wrestling and I can't say I would be sad if that turned out to be the case! Now I have scheduled to come out here Jose Lothario and his new protege, who I am assuming is the man we saw interfere in his match last Sunday night against Mil Mascaras. Steve Stack: What in the world is this?! Jose we saw this man come out wearing a mask last Sunday night, but nothing like this ridiculous costume. Jose Lothario: What is ridiculous about it Steve Stack!? Do you think the Mexican flag is ridiculous? The flag of my people is ridiculous to you? Steve Stack: No, of course not! But Jose this is a little over the top don't you think? Jose Lothario: What is over the top about it? You don't insult Mil Mascaras for his masks or colorful outfits do you? This man has pride in his country, pride for his people and he wanted to wear the colors of Mexico. What business is it of yours what he choose to wear? Steve Stack: Well let's get off the subject of fashion if it's going to cause us to argue. Why did this man come out and interfere in your match with Mil Mascaras last Sunday night? Jose Lothario: There you go again with your pro-Mascaras bias. He did not interfere as you called it, he came out to save me from a man who was blatantly cheating throughout the whole match! Steve Stack: Mil Mascaras spent the whole match wrestling, I didn't see him cheating while you were the one who kept trying to even things up with your fists. Jose Lothario: Steve I think it's time for you to get glasses. Or to just admit you're the leader of the Mil Mascaras fan club. The man was cheating, pulling my tights every chance he got, that was the only way he kept grounding me that way. Steve Stack: Well let's get back to your protege here. What exactly is his name? Jose Lothario: Why are you asking me? Why do you just assume that the man is incapable of speaking English? Because he's from Mexico City? Because he chooses to wear the colors of my people? Ask him yourself what is name is! Steve Stack: Ok, well I have Rapido Rodriguez here to do any translating necessary for me. Sir, what is your name and why have you chosen to wear that outfit? Mr Mexico: Why do you assume that I can't speak English Steve Stack? I have chosen to wear this outfit and take the wrestling name of Mr. Mexico, not Senor MeHico by the way, because of the great pride I have in my country and to be the role model that these people need. I saw the way the fans were turning their back on these great legend from my country in favor of some young punk from Cuba and I chose to make it as obvious as I could to these people who their heroes really are. Steve Stack: I have to say, I have spoken to a great many wrestlers from Mexico and from South America in my career here in Texas and you speak English better than almost any that I can recall. Mr. Mexico: That's one of the reasons I was chosen by Jose Lothario to be his protege! Because these people need a role model that will teach them that true success in this country comes from fully integrating, learning the language and putting their espanol behind them. I spent many years learning the great language of this country and I hope that I can serve as an example of the people watching today who need this man to translate my words that they can do it too. Steve Stack: But you have almost no accent whatsoever, you're sure you were born and raised in Mexico city? Jose Lothario: Are you calling us liars?! Steve Stack I think this interview is over! Come on, Mr. Mexico I think we've indulged this fool all we need to. Since you are determined to undermine our message we will just have to let our actions in the ring speak for themselves this Sunday night when we defeat Mil Mascaras and whoever his partner is and prove to the people that WE are the true heroes of the Mexican-American people! Steve Stack: I don't want to call anyone a liar, especially a man I've respected so much over the years like Jose Lothario but something just doesn't seem right about this situation. Let's send it down to the ring now where we have Roy Lee Welch in action against Mike Fever. Steve Stack: An impressive victory by Roy Lee Welch who will be in action this Sunday night in a rematch against Eddy Mansfield after their double countout draw last week. We have to take a break now but when we come back we'll hear from Mil Mascaras himself about Jose Lothario and his new protege and his tag match against them this Sunday night at the HemisFair Arena. -Third Commercial Break- Steve Stack: Welcome back to Southwest Championship Wrestling! I have with me now Mil Mascaras and Mil, I'm sure you heard the comments from Jose Lothario and Mr. Mexico, I'd like to hear your thoughts about what they said and your tag team match against them this Sunday night. Mil Mascaras: Steve Stack you were right when you called that man's outfit ridiculous. And I agree with you, I don't think he is from Mexico at all. So this Sunday night my goal is to rip that mask off of him and expose him for the fraud that he is. But as for what Jose had to say, it's an insult to these people to tell them that they can only cheer Spanish speaking wrestlers if they come from Mexico. There have been great wrestler who have come from all over the Caribbean and South America. Carlos Colos, Hurrican Castillo, Pedro Morales are all great wrestlers from Puerto Rico. Then you have Cyclone Negro from Venezuela who is a legend in Texas and held many championships all over this state. To say that the people are traitors for cheering a man from Cuba is an insult to the fans and that's why I have chosen for my partner another wrestler from Venezuela just like Cyclone Negro. My partner this Sunday night is Omar Atlas a very tough man and we are going to beat some sense back into Jose Lothario's head and hopefully take that mask of Mr. Not From Mexico. -Mil Mascaras leaves the interview set and Mike Masters & Tiny Anderson enter while Steve Stack is still talking Steve Stack: Well fans there you have it, this Sunday night it's going to be Mil Mascaras teaming with Venezuelan Omar Atlas to take on the team of Jose Lothario & Mr. Mexico. Now I'd like to bring in Mike Masters and HIS protege, Tiny Anderson. & Mike Masters: Why did you have to schedule my time after his? I can still smell his bean breath out here and - Steve Stack: You've been warned about this before! I'll cut this interview off right now and we'll go to the video we have of David Von Erich if you're going to start with this stuff! Mike Masters: Alright alright, calm down! You're the one who asked me for an interview so why don't you just ask me what you want to ask me? Steve Stack: First of all I wanted to know what kind of training regimen you have this man on because it's been almost 2 months now that he's been training with you and he looks like he's not spent one hour in the gym. Mike Masters: Don't you try and steal my secrets! I'm not going to tell you or anyone else my proprietary secrets, if you want to know how I train then you can pay me to take you to the gym and show you. As for why Tiny Anderson hasn't started to show results yet, I'm not quite sure. I'll admit he isn't the most eager person to get up in the morning and go to the gym but he's there with me every day. While I'm there pumping iron to create this magnificent body you see in front of you, I have Tiny Anderson on the treadmill and the exercise bike. I can't watch him every minute we're in the gym together but when I go check on him he's sweaty and out of breath so really the only answers I have is that it's just taking longer than I thought it would. -While Mike Masters was talking, Tiny Anderson took a donut out from under his tights and started scarfing it down while Steve Stack stared at him in amazement Steve Stack: And just what kind of dietary changes have you forced him to make? Is he supposed to on any kind of special diet? -Tiny Anderson shoots Steve Stack a pleading look Mike Masters: Obviously I cut out all sweets, you wouldn't believe how this man was eating before I took him under my wing. Cakes, pies, donuts, candy bars, the amount of garbage this man put in his body was astounding. But now he's all about eggs, chicken breasts, tuna, good protein and no more of that junk he used to shovel into his mouth. Steve Stack: Well we're almost out of time, but I'd like to ask you about Tiny's upcoming rematch with Mike Jackson this Sunday night at the HemisFair Arena and your match against Steve Pardee. Mike Masters: Steve Pardee? I made him submit to the Full Nelson last week and I'll do it again Sunday night. Lord Alfred Hayes might not have been able to find anyone who could get the job done against him but there's nobody alive who can break out of the Full Nelson once I cinch it in and Steve Pardee is no exception. Now as for Mike Jackson, I'm getting tired of that chump trying to embarass me and Tiny Anderson. Everyone knows Mike Jackson is a loser and if Tiny Anderson can't beat him that makes him an even bigger loser. And Mike Masters does NOT associate with losers, you hear me Tiny Anderson? I'm gonna be at ringside for this rematch now that I have my manager's license and if you don't win this rematch against Mike Jackson you are going to have a lot more to worry about than that chump, do you understand? Don't you put that microphone in his face Steve Stack! He understands and if he doesn't understand I'm gonna make him. Steve Stack: Fans don't go away when we come back we're going to take to The Fabulous Ones and Jim Duggan about their matches this Sunday night at The HemisFair Arena against The Wild Bills and Colonel Buck Robley! -Fourth Commercial Break- Steve Stack: Before I bring out The Fabulous Ones & Jim Duggan, we received this video from David Von Erich that he asked us to play showing he and Sunshine on their vacation together. Let's take a look at it now. Steve Stack: Well you guys just saw the video from David Von Erich, do you have anything you'd like to say? Steve Keirn: If he can't be bothered to come to work, why should we bother to talk about him? All I have to say about David Von Erich is that when he comes back we're going to add those Southwest Tag Team Titles to our collection to go along with the World Tag Team Titles we are going to win this Sunday night. Steve Stack: Alright, well let's talk about that then. You guys looked like you were about to put The Wild Bills away when their manager Buck Robley interfered in the match. Stan, do you regret allowing yourself to lose your focus on The Wild Bills and go after Robley? Stan Lane: It really wasn't the smartest decision I ever made but I was so angry I wasn't thinking straight. Luckily Stanley Blackburn gave us another shot at the belts and this Sunday there won't be a Buck Robley at ringside and probably won't even be anything left of Buck Robley at all once he meets the Hacksaw. Steve Stack: Jim, we saw you overcome the odds against Sheikh Adnan with one arm tied behind your back and your eyes full of powder do you have any comments about that match or your match this Sunday night against Buck Robley? Duggan: All I want to say about Sheik Adnan Al-Kaissie is BYE BYE SHEIK! I told everybody last week that I was gonna get him out of Texas and make him pay for the things he said about my country and that's what I did. As for Buck Robley he's just gonna be a little snack for me while I wait for my next big meal, Tully Blanchard, to come back and hand over his Southwest Title to me! Steve Keirn: Wild Bills, you thought you got lucky making it out of Texas with the AWA World Tag Team Titles last week well your luck is going to run out and after we beat you this Sunday and take the belts we're gonna take those bull ropes and give you a little taste of your own medicine! Steve Stack: We've got to take our last break for the day but don't go away because when we come back we'll see our big main event of Eddie Gilbert taking on Charlie Cook! -Fifth and final Commercial Break- Steve Stack: Welcome back to Southwest Championship Wrestling! Before we get to our main event, Charlie Cook wanted to say a few words about his challenge to Eddie Gilbert. Charlie Cook: Everyone that's seen me beat on that boy for the last two weeks knows that I am the better man although only one of us is a man to begin with. I beat Eddie Gilbert 2 weeks ago and the referee reversed the decision after I took the ref's belt off and whipped Gilbert like the punk that he is with it. And then last week he had to have his buddy Ken Lucas come out and distract me and allow him to get a cheap roll up on me. Well I'm tired of hearing people say that chump beat me, he's never beat me and never could. That's why if lightning strikes a 3rd time today and he wins this match I will leave Texas and Southwest Championship Wrestling and never show my face around here again! vs. Steve Stack: What a gutsy performance by Eddie Gilbert! I think he just put any doubts about his ability to rest here with that victory over Charlie Cook and now Charlie Cook will have to eat his words and leave Southwest Championship Wrestling! Ladies and gentleman we're all out of time join us next week when hopefully, depending on the injuries of Ron Starr, we'll have the finals to the Southwest TV Title Tournament with Ron Starr taking on David Von Erich! And make sure to get your tickets now for another hot night of action at The HemisFair Arena as we'll see The Wild Bills defend the AWA World Tag Team Titles in a rematch with The Fabulous Ones, Jim Duggan will take on the Colonel Buck Robley, Mil Mascaras will team with Buddy Moreno to take on the team of Jose Lothario and Mr. Mexico and much more!

If you need something to help you go to sleep then Krusher Darsow vs. JYD is your match. Boring and listless, even the crowd didn't really seem to care.
-
I liked the angle with Garvin & Vinnie Valentino and that you started up a feud between Putski & Ed Wiskowski over who is a better representative of the Polish.
-
Lots of matches I would have probably liked seeing here although I bet Scott Armstrong vs. Marty Oates would have had some really awkward moments with 2 guys fresh out of training in the ring together.
-
Interesting choice to create another set of tag team titles although you do have the depth for it. A bit disappointed at the lack of Goldie Rogers on this episode but I liked the stuff with Richard Charland being a real chicken shit.
-
Bob Armstrong vs. Ron Starr sounds like a match I would really like. Tommy & Johnny must really hate their cousin Randy to never give him a call to come help them in Alabama.
-
Just watched the Masao Ito vs. Lanny Poffo match and it was a pretty good undercard match nothing really special though. I watched this because I've liked Masao Ito in the stuff that's been uploaded so far but this wasn't his best performance and Lanny was really the one who stood out to me. Worked a lot more evenly than I expected.

Truer words have never been written on this board.

I would agree with all the stuff Matt D listed and add: JYD vs. Butch Reed - Dog Collar match Guerreros vs. Al Madril/Jose Lothario Also everyone needs to see the Buddy Landell vs. Butch Reed -Shoeshine match not for the match itself but for the awesome post-match stuff. But there is also a lot of stuff that wouldn't fall into the "great match" category that still needs to be seen like the Tully/Bracero match, RNR Express vs. Buddy Landell/Masao Ito and pretty much anything that has The Guerreros teaming.

I honestly have no idea on how/if they can grow the audience and don't really think about it that much. I don't really care that much about modern WWE to worry about it. I do know that they aren't doing anything well enough to justify me giving them $9.99 a month especially when NWAClassics.com is giving me way more of the content that I want. I guess a lot of people like NXT way more than I do but I watched about 10 episodes before the first Takeover show and I didn't get the hype. I thought the weekly episodes were kind of boring. If I am going to watch weekly episodes of something I'd much rather go into my territory collection and start watching Southeastern.
