  1. I agree but I also think that's a big part of the problem. Everything doesn't have to be complicated, they just make it that way. Micromanaging everything down to the minute, being publicly traded, asking for so much money for TV renewal, leaving PPV & starting the Network, starting their own farm league like baseball franchises, having to appease network executives, etc. This feels like COMPLETELY missing the forest for the trees. They are a business first. Going public, getting as much money as possible for their TV, starting their own Network, having NXT are all smart business decisions to either strengthen the company's future or just make as much money as possible. Having to appease network executives is something that EVERY television show has to do how are they supposed to avoid that?
  2. I just think that the current landscape is way too different from 70s & 80s that you can't just go "well make everything like it was back then and everything will be fixed" It's a lot more complicated than that.
  3. Bret Hart. Kawada. Shawn Michaels. Kobashi. Climbing up the ladder should mean something. So Owens gets his first feud with a lower midcarder not straight in with Cena. The whole thinking of the company is ass backwards because it's become too divorced from the wrestling basics and ABCs. Ratings be damned, it's not like the current formula has worked out brilliantly. And wrestling fans tuned in to see wrestling shows with jtts guys on them for years and years, why is the 2015 fan so different. There's value in seeing a star showcase all their offense against a job guy. There's value in seeing what he can do against a marginally bigger threat. Then when he faces the big star, it's a real what if. They never debut anyone like they did with Kevin Owens, it's not like that's their standard way. Also, it's not like they NEVER push people like that any more Parv. That is exactly what they did with Rusev.
  4. How can you use NXT guys at JTTS? You're supposed to be grooming them as your next main eventers, you can't do that by starting them out losing to everyone. You can't just say "well they used to do that" because they also used to go away for 2-3 years in between their JTTS period and getting brought in for a real push.
  5. If you think there isn't a hierarchy of Cena over everyone else, I am not sure what to tell you. Yes he wrestles a lot of dudes underneath him but he lost once to Rusev after a distraction & a lowblow and one loss to Owens after which he established himself as better in the next 2 matches.
  6. The days of using your TV solely to sell the PPV & house shows is over. They have to make Raw must watch on it's own which you can't do with 3 hours of squashes. They could do one per show but I think more than that would probably be stretching it. They make more money off TV revenue than house shows. The real problem is they just run the same matchups on TV as they do house shows & PPV so you get really sick of it fast.
  7. Yes and no. First off I don't have faith in WWE's ability to actually do a cheap finish in a way that gets the right kind of heat. But in some cases it's true, I mean there's no good reason to have Rusev losing clean to Cesaro on fucking Smackdown.

Summer Rae's twitter feed is pretty damn entertaining now. If you liked the stuff last night I would recommend checking it out.
  9. NEXT LEVEL PSYCHOLOGY~! And on the other side of the spectrum from Dave, here's Dean from DVDVR:

Hell no. Lana is a terrible babyface and not sympathetic at all. I like evil manipulative Rusev and they're on the right track to keeping him heel.
  13. I'm sick of apologists in wrestling.

I've been saying it and now I'll fucking shout it: Rusev is not being buried and he'll be better of without Lana. Rusev making Summer Rae start dressing and wearing her hair like Lana is good stuff.
  15. Really good stuff. I hope David Von Erich isn't too injured to try for some revenge on Bad News.
  16. Just updated the original post. They uploaded 5 new matches today so they are uploading way faster than the originally stated 1 a day.

That's a perfectly logical, acceptable complaint though. I thought the segment was great and depressing at the same time I really don't think it is a "logical, acceptable" fan complaint. When you get your most enjoyment out of watching wrestling are you just watching it as a fan or as an armchair booker? If you can't watch WWE and NOT be an armchair booker you're probably not going to enjoy it.
  18. Someone needs to teach those assholes The Wild Bills a lesson, they don't want to do anything but beat on people with their bullropes & cowbells. The Fabulous Ones can't wait to see them & try for revenge in the Southwest Tag Title tournament on July 31st!

Ending was bullshit. Brock shouldn't have stopped without guns drawn. What the hell did he go to Japan to visit Saito for if he didn't even learn anything from him?
  20. He's not getting a super duper territory, he doesn't take the whole roster. If it had been decided that you got Portland then you'd be the one saying how screwed up it is that we already told you that you were getting it, you picked who you wanted and then suddenly that's not what is happening anymore. I think it's silly you are arguing so much over this because either way, the problems that you guys laid out with your booking plans WON'T get solved by EITHER of these solutions. Everyone going into a dispersal draft means you get MAYBE POSSIBLY one main eventer. If you get the last pick in the draft you still get scrubs. Your BEST chance of getting an influx of good talent is territory takeovers.
  21. We already told Wahoos Leg that he had Portland. He already made up the list of guys for the draft. I'm not sure how we're suddenly going back in time on this.
  22. This is the silliest way of looking at it because no one on this board is psychic. Did you think Dylan was the MOST likely to drop out?
  23. These are the pairings I came up with using the territory map: Portland - Vancouver Stampede - AWA Toronto - Montreal JCP - WWF Florida - Puerto Rico Georgia - Southeastern Memphis - ICW Mid-South - WCCW Central States - WWA This was the original proposition from goodhelmet: Portland - Vancouver Florida - Puerto Rico Memphis - ICW Southwest - WCCW AWA - WWA Central States- Mid South Georgia - Southeastern Stampede - Montreal JCP or WWF - Maple Leaf and Boricua had this one: Portland - Vancouver JCP - Florida Memphis - ICW Southwest - WCCW AWA - WWA Central States- Mid South Georgia - Southeastern Stampede - Montreal WWF - Maple Leaf
  24. Everybody is active. There aren't any promotions who haven't posted shows now that Jesse had started today. Jesse has already done something like this before and his shows looked really good so I'm not sure who is supposed to be the "most likely" to drop out. There's no way to predict that.
  25. This is why I like the takeover idea. ICW died and the Poffos all went to Memphis, Southwest crapped out and then Scott Casey & Jose Lothario are in World Class. Someone could then hopefully explain JCP and WWF... I am not trying to complain, but logically, it doesn't make sense. Wouldn't JCP/Mid South/Florida triangular make more sense by this "logic" we are following. If this was 1993 project, and it were WCW, then I see a takeover option with WCW/WWF pairing being more plausible. If WWF had gone out of business in 1983 wouldn't JCP have been the most likely to start running in that area? Especially D.C., Maryland, Pennsylvania. Ditto with WWF extending south of D.C. The pairings are due to proximity not historical precedents.
