I guess we have a very different definition of "ok" when we're talking about the Casas/Cota hair match and the Casas/Dandy vs. Cota/Silver King tag match then.

I'm kind of surprised that Dean Ambrose was only on 2 more ballots than Roman Reigns. That's good though because I really don't think Dean is better than Roman. Clearly from how many people voted for Superstar Graham, Adrian Street & Kamala a lot of people are voting for people who were very good at portraying their characters. That clearly favors a guy like Mocha Cota who isn't exactly the shits in the workrate department like Graham or Ultimate Warrior.

Yea but no one is comparing Edge or Jericho to Kobashi. And I'm sure the ridicule would be far worse if they were.

I voted Hogan in my top 25. Didn't vote HHH at all.

The fact that Jose Lothario found his way onto 11 ballots and finished at #276 out of 557 for GWE tells you just how important NWAClassics is. If you haven't signed up yet I don't really know what else to tell you to convince you except that Jose Lothario this time a year ago hadn't been nominated and was someone I don't think ANYONE was thinking about voting for. But after less than 20 matches of new footage he made enough of an impression pretty much from NWAClassics alone that he went from someone who wouldn't have been on the list to finishing ahead of 281 other wrestlers on the list.

Eh, I wouldn't really look at it that way. Considering that this time a year ago no one would have considered Jose for a list like this and he made 11 ballots pretty much solely off a slow trickle of new matches from NWAClassics, it's pretty impressive. Tells me that a large number of voters who have been watching NWAClassics decided to vote for him. Tells you just how valuable NWAClassics is that guys like Jose & Gino who probably would not have gotten any votes at all have done this well (with Gino still to come)

That;s garbage. Yea I mean the real solution seems to be opening up the tag ballots that have already been submitted to editing so if someone feels "cheated" on time then they get the same amount of time as people who didn't put in a ballot. And lets me move The Nightmares to #1 for strategic reasons to account for additional ballots.

I also voted for Lothario. Somewhere around the 60-70 range. Unfortunately the PC I have my list on is sharing the room with a tree that fell through the roof so it could be quite a long time before I see that list again. 11 votes for Jose is awesome and really speaks to the power of the new NWAClassics footage. Seems like it helped Gino Hernadez a ton as well since he hasn't shown up yet and I know I voted for him.

Maybe people should just lighten up about other people's criticisms of certain votes. And Grimmas I hope you counted Dean's vote for Mr. Gannesukke

The Bullet finally falls. Damn, 35 was way higher than I expected him to get for a high vote.

He was on my ballot but because I was blown away by how someone got such good matches out of Hornswoggle and worked backwards to see his pre-El Torito work.

Excuse you but lucha fans also appreciate fat guys, why do you think Super Porky hasn't come up yet? Blame the people who voted for a really over rated fat guy like Bam Bam Bigelow instead of one of the good ones.

Eh as someone who did a lot of watching to put together a tag list I don't really feel like it's "unfair to me" but whatever. Less total voters will probably help The Nightmares anyway.

Street is a bit of a footage thing for me. I nominated him but I just don't think we have enough. I mean, I get that you know what you're getting pretty easily, but I just wanted more. That's just because you refuse to watch Continental. Terrible. I've been watching some Continental lately actually, but it's for someone else. Watching for promos from The Flame is a good reason, I would accept that. Otherwise:

Killer Khan's "average" performance may not be that good but he his great matches are so great I just couldn't leave him off. The Gordy match, the crazy underdog babyface performance against Andre, the match with Choshu are all REALLY high end matches. Then there is stuff like the Chris Adams match from the Mid-South set that I thought was pretty good and some stuff with the Road Warriors that I happened to randomly see from All Japan that wasn't that great in the ring but had such an awesome aura of "Holy shit it's Killer Khan against The Roadies!" that the crowd was totally crazy for.

Super Astro adds to my fallen soldiers count. One of the best flyers I've ever seen. EDIT: Dang and Killer Khan too. I love that Dean rated him as high as 10. Khan DOES rule so I am perfectly ok with that.

I will admit that I have not seen any BattlARTS stuff. Mostly because most of how it is pimped is "Man these guys are really beating the shit out of each other!" which is not something I really want out of wrestling.

Not me. It even seems to be going through a bit of a renaissance in modern wrestling. I'm still waiting for someone to really bring psychology to it and try to preempt the butt offense like people used to try and go after Hansen's Lariat arm.

Let's keep the thread going from here because this kind of "projection" seems like something that should be discussed more especially if more people were doing it.

There are so many guys I could shoot up my list using the "If he had been Tiger Mask II" logic. I'd like to re-do my ballot and shoot Chris Masters up to my top 25 please.

Dump is a weird case because even the people who were all in on joshi didn't seem that high on ranking her this time around in her thread or the joshi thread. I do think it also says a lot about the state of joshi fandom from then to now though.
