  1. You have to admire his dedication to the con.
  2. You won't regret Stardom at all.
  3. I was just wondering if anyone had any New Year's Resolutions for 2018. I have a couple this year. Actively follow and watch PWG with the DVD releases. Watch at least an hour of wrestling a week. This will probably be watching CWF Mid-Atlantic on YouTube.
  4. Mid-South Colesium in 1984 just for the star power that came through.
  5. If anyone is looking to pick up any of the last couple of Bola tournaments cheap you can get them for $30 on High Spots. It also mixes with the sale which gets you another $4.50 off. It will work with this year's tournament if you pick it through the special. I got it for like $25 because I cashed in some points too.
  6. From the figures I used before if he made a million after taxes on this his yearly for 30 years goes from $166,666 to $200,000. So that is a significant increase for his retirement planning.
  7. I'm well aware of that. But the idea of totally broken down Taker coming back at Mania *again* because he would *need* the 1M$ payoff is kinda ridiculous. Either that or he really sucks at investments... Like I said before, Ray Rougeau = smartest wrestler ever : retired at 35 and set for life. Let's say he has another 25 years to live and we'll say he has 5 million in the bank. That's $200,000 a year to live on. Now depending on where you live that isn't a ton of money. Now let's say he's planning to budget for 30 years that's $166,666.66. Again, that's not terrible but you're looking at some tight times the older you get especially with retirement villages and this is if you don't have kids you want to leave money to or put through college. That's just some fake made up numbers but I can see how someone would want a little buffer, especially if they can work 20 minutes and turn that 5 million into 6 million.
  8. I miss IVP's download service so much. Just getting the ISO to download for like $1.99 was the best.
  9. I love watching Nagata working Young Lions on current New Japan shows. I think Nagata kind of unfairly gets blamed for how awful New Japan was in 2002-2003 because he was champion at the time.
  10. My friend and I were discussing Pete Dunne the other day. It's kind of a shame he wasn't around in that RoH, IWA:MS ecosystem of the mid-00s. Some of the matches that guy would have had with Joe, Necro, DB, Styles, Strong, etc. would have been amazing.
  11. Roman Reigns currently. His haters don't give him enough credit for improving and being able to hold his end up in good-great matches while at the same time his supporters overcompensate and act like everything he does is amazing.
  12. Thanks for the Progress replies. I'm excited to dig in to something new as I've only seen some matches here and there on YouTube.
  13. I enjoy their match with the Colony from High Noon a lot. They play good heels, it's a good opener to a good show and it doesn't have the excesses that they can have at times. https://youtu.be/2wU2re7yIs4
  14. So for those of you that are big Progress fans. What are some good shows for a beginner.

Thanks you, I feel like I was the only person that really loved Asuka/Moon from Brooklyn. What is the promotion and date for Low Ki vs. Sami Callihan match listed on a few lists here?
  16. I was okay with Corino as a worker but I fucking despise him as an announcer.
  17. It's from that August Star Wars that had Kerry/Flair 2 out of 3 falls.
  18. You should give CWF Mid-Atlantic a try. They put their shows on YouTube weekly for free.
  19. Yeah, he becomes a really good promo very quickly and is no slouch in the ring either The Harley Race match where they just beat the shit out of each other was really really good.
  20. One of the interesting things I've seen with WWE Network is anyone that wanders into the World Class footage all seems to have the same reaction of "holy shit, I didn't know King Kong Bundy was good."
  21. Merry Christmas motherfuckers! In honor of this board I'm signing up for Demand Progress.
  22. I think what impresses me most about Mutoh is how smart he was with his physical decline. To completely reinvent yourself inring and look wise to adjust for age is really an underappreciated journey that he took.
  23. Mediocre is being kind to what UFC has been asking money for this year.
  24. I kind of think that Omega/Jericho match on PPV could do okay with a $30 price tag. I'm getting asked about it by super casual fans.
  25. How about Josh Barnett? Again, not an all time great or anything but the level he works at for the relatively few pro wrestling matches he's actually had is kind of crazy to me.
