Looks like the return show did 800 with Styles/Danielson in a No. 1 Contenders match. Joe/Briscoe which was the third date there did 1800.

I'm on my phone so sorry for quoting your whole post. That is a weird card to judge if Hardy brought more people in. Raven was a big deal in 2003 and that Punk feud really put RoH on the radar. I also remember that Joe/London match being really anticipated at the time. It's a really stacked RoH card.

Someone got a picture of Taker wearing a Young Bucks Bullet Club shirt in public. Vince's head just exploded.

That one I don't understand. Chikara has gotten DVDs of shows out within a week of it happening at certain points.

I think they are smartly passing up money now in favor of being viable long term.

They're the top indy but it really doesn't have anything to do with Dave. They were selling out every month long before he even started paying attention to them a couple years ago. It probably helped them gain a little popularity/buzz online once he started to cover it but it likely has more to do with the fact that it's the Young Bucks' home company and they became stars on their own. I think a lot of fans also grew to like it when guys like Steen would say it was their favorite company to work for. Yeah, this. They started picking up steam in 2010 or 2011. Dave being into it is a much more recent trend. A lot of guys I talk wrestling with are super into it. I've mentioned this in other threads but they have a very conservative business plan and always have. They run the same building that I believe they own so that's why their attendance has never crossed 400. They could probably doing over 1,000 in the right location but they seem interested to run 12-15 shows a year in the same building and sell their DVDs and make money.

I think I would enjoy PWG. But I do not have the time for it and I don't want to divert money from other hobbies for it either.

I would like to congratulate Jinder Mahal on breaking Bruno's record for consecutive days as the World Champ... what? It's only been 5 months? I could have swore he's had that fucking belt for 8 years...

Scrull and Ospreay are two of my least favorite wrestlers out there right now.

CWF Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Champions Arik Royal and Roy Wilkins are backstage. Royal admits that Rave and Archer were really impressive in that elimination match last week. They eliminated every other team and looked unstoppable. But people are forgetting that they beat three other teams the night they won these titles and they've defended them against some of the best team's around. Wilkins chimes in and says they're called the All Stars for a reason. They are the best that the Mid-Atlantic area has to offer and tonight they are going to show everyone that they've earned the All Star name. CWF Mid-Atlantic Television Champion Jake Manning and Grizzly Redwood are backstage. Manning announces that next week is his first defense of the belt against Chip Day. He admits that Day should get a merit badge for his persistence in the face of superior opposition. He already beat Day once on his way to this championship and he'll do it again. Scout's honor. The funny thing about that TV rights bubble is that it's probably going to burst when everyone's deals come up next time. I think even the NFL is going to see less money. The WWE are absolutely fucked if their TV deal gets worse.

CWF Worldwide #6: 11/8/2017 taped from Gibsonville, NC Andy Dalton and Caprice Coleman come down to the ring. Dalton talks about the brutality that can go on with a dog collar match. He doesn't think Trevor Lee made a smart choice there. That sort of match is right up his alley. This mistake is going to cost him the championship, he guarantees it. Andy Dalton d. John Kermon w/ the Piledriver Jimmy Rave and Lance Archer are backstage. Rave says this is a big night for them. They have a chance to earn a shot at the CWF Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Titles. November is shaping up to be a big month for them. They're going to win the titles and Lance Archer pinned the Mid-Atlantic Champion Trevor Lee last week. Archer says that he's rooting for Trevor Lee in that dog collar match. You see, he wants the pleasure of being the man to pin Lee and take that Mid-Atlantic Championship belt. There will be a day of reckoning between the two of them soon and he's going to put Lee down for the 1-2-3 again. Outside the arena we see Jake Manning and Grizzly Redwood standing by a forest fire. Manning says that Grizzly failed to get his fire starting merit badge but he is in luck. He did qualify for the arsonists merit badge and hands it over to Grizzly. They then flee the scene as sirens can be heard. Adrian Armour d. Ethan Case w/ the Super Destructo Disc Adrian Armour stops by the announce table. He just wants to take a moment to put all of the CWF Mid-Atlantic on notice. Adrian Armour is in town and he's willing to take on anyone in the area. He also plans to win the Johnny Weaver Memorial Cup on Thanksgiving Night. Chip Day is backstage. He wants Grizzly Redwood and Jake Manning to know that things aren't over between them. Manning has something that belongs to him and Grizzly Redwood... well there's a lot there. He needs to teach that little punk a lot about respect and staying out of other people's business. I think largely because he wasn't good at first. He isn't super likeable or really memorable. We're talking about his 4th WrestleMania in a row. That's Hulk Hogan territory for a guy that a lot of fans kind of just wish would go away. It's also the continued force of Roman Reigns. He's kind of that piece of broccoli that your parents forced you to eat as a kid that makes you forever hate broccoli and never give it a chance. He's not solely to blame though. Seth Rollins doesn't get near enough flak for the embarrassing failure he's been on top.
-
I would say the audience as a whole isn't liking what they're getting. The ratings have been a disaster since they started using Roman and Rollins on top. The live attendance numbers have been going down as well. The only guy that can move the needle for them is Cena.

Throwaway is kind of how RoH has felt in general for the last year and a half. It feels like everything is filler for something bigger but that bigger thing never comes.

If I were the Young Bucks I would just start making shirts with the intention of getting a C&D from the WWE and just laugh all the way to the bank.

CWF Worldwide #5: 11/1/2017 taped from Gibsonville, NC Highlights of the CWF Rumble play. Just as they get to the end of the Andy Dalton vs. Trevor Lee match, the video cuts off. Andy Dalton is in the ring and he made them cut off the video before the end. He says no one is going to see the ending of that match. He was robbed of the championship and he's not going to leave this ring until he gets a rematch with Trevor Lee. No matches and no show until he gets what he wants. Corey Edsel comes down to the ring. He talked things over with Trevor Lee. Lee is very upset about the cheap shot and Piledriver after the match. He has right here a contract for a dog collar match for the Johnny Weaver Memorial Cup Tournament show on Thanksgiving night. Dalton takes the contract and signs it and says this is exactly what he wants. He's going to punish Trevor Lee and take the CWF Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Championship. Chet Sterling d. Jason Kincaid w/ the Blockbuster Brian Fury is being interviewed backstage. He's asked about cheering on CW Anderson at the CWF Rumble. They've both been doing this a long time and a lot of these young kids just don't understand the grind that wrestling can be at times. CWF Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Champions Arik Royal and Roy Wilkins come down to the announce table for some guest commentary. They announce that next week there's going to be a four corner elimination match between The Sandwich Squad, The Carnies, Rock 'n Rave Infection and the winner of the upcoming match. Quack really handled the BDK well that first year or so. They marched through King of Trios and then won the tag titles fairly quick. But he effectively pulled off having the BDK start to take losses while still making them a threat. High Noon blows the angle off really well and Spectral Envoy vs. Ares and Tim Donst is a good end point to it. Amazingly, the meat of the BDK angle was only 2 years but it feels longer than it was. That's where he really fucked up with the Flood. He set up this huge stable that was supposed to dominate Chikara and they never won matches.

It also creates moments you would never think of. In a previous promotion the Destroyer won a battle royal for a World Title shot and then won the title the same night. It was really cool and not something I would have done when I was in complete control.
