Yeah, Braun is a face at this point. He can do whatever he wants and people will cheer for him.
  2. I know he watches GFW because he talks about it with Bryan on shows from time to time. I would imagine he watches WWE, New Japan, UFC, PWG, RoH, GFW and some other assorted items. I'm guessing the best way to get Dave to watch your promotion is to send him free shit. It wouldn't shock me if he doesn't watch Evolve as they don't provide their content at a competitive rate.
  3. Some are worth a decent chunk of change.

I always got the feel that Ziggler was quite decent as opposed to great or even very good. What did you find to be his peak?He was good around 2010-2013. Good run with Vickie in tow, good run with the IC Title. Good team with Swagger. Great matches over the years with Kofi, Orton, Sheamus, Cena, Bryan, Alberto, Cesaro, Rey, etc. By the end of 2012 he flirted with the main event with the Cena feud, and when he cashed in MITB it was HUGE. The double turn with Alberto was great. Even in the last few years, that SS match, the Miz feud, wasn't there a ladder match with Harper? All good stuff. I think it's unfair to suggest he was never good. But he's been pedestrian and really served no purpose for a long time. He was good until the Rusev feud. Then he started cosplaying hair metal bands and it was downhill quick. I used to love Dolph but can't stand him now.
  5. I don't understand this surprise at the matches Dave has liked this year either. The New Japan and PWG matches are what he likes. Go back to when RoH was hot in the 2000s and he loved that stuff and what he's praising now is an evolved version of the RoH style. People take this shit way too seriously.
  6. I tried a few years ago to get the old shows and just gave up and did torrents after seeing the eBay prices for some of it.

The answer is just Taz. It's always Taz.
  8. You can't compare Piper and Taker though. They might as well have been using leeches on Piper for how ancient the surgery was then.
  9. Actually, the surgery has come a long way in the last decade. 6 months might be pushing it a little but if he recovered well it wouldn't be impossible. My dad just had one done a couple of years ago and he was essentially operating like a normal person again within 3-4 months. Though I would think Taker's doctors would frown greatly on him wrestling ever with a fake hip in.
  10. I would hire Low Ki if I had a 3 month storyline in mind for him where I could then send him on his way afterwards.

I like that he genuinely seems to love wrestling in every shape and form. But that stopped coming through awhile ago with him.

That's a small part of my dislike of Phillips though. His complete lack of personality is my biggest issue with him.

Well, he gets the names of a lot of moves wrong. If a match is bad the commentary gets very disinterested really quick. I don't need the guy yelling but it's obvious when he's zoning out.

I like Mauro because he isn't a soulless robot. Yeah, he has his crutches but everyone does. He seems to actually care about what he's watching as well. With Tom Phillips especially, that guy just seems like he would rather be doing anything other than calling a wrestling match.
  15. I want Worldwide more than anything.
  16. He's like the guy that trains you at a company and then a couple of years later you're his supervisor. He's missing out on working in New Japan, he burned his bridge in WWE. RoH isn't really interested in him. The guy has probably left a lot of money on the table. It's a career. Artistic freedom and all that but if you aren't making bank then why the fuck are you destroying your body?
  17. It's not being a management shill to point out a guy is a malcontent and never lasts places and probably hurt his career and earning power doing it.

I loved JBL when he was on Smackdown in the mid 00s. His recent run not so much. I agree they need to torch the three man teams. It only works if the third guy was a defined role and they don't really do that. You end up with stuff like Percy Watson on NXT that barely talks.

My favorite Ryback line ever "I'm dumb as fuck, sorry."

You could also tape 2-3 episodes at a time and not burn a crowd out by the end of it.
  21. That would sadly perfectly capture his career
  22. I'm doing this at the next show I go to for the absolute worst wrestler on the show, Don't give them more reason to keep pushing Orton. Mike Bennett it is then!
  23. He's the only guy that justified the WWE's way of bringing guys in, giving them a few wins and then jobbing them for a few months to see how they take it. He got a big head after that first tour with NOAH. I thought he was really going places when he did those Velocity matches and how good his early TNA/RoH runs were. Then the ego kicked in and his career kind of stalled out.

For as bad as he was in 2001, he was fucking awful in 2002.
