  1. Tully Blanchard vs. Magnum TA. To me this is the cage match that all other cage matches should be judged by. The level of brutality and hatred is off the charts and it paid off their feud perfectly.
  2. This one: https://youtu.be/T43GSOGIuEY This lead me to video of Goto vs. Leon Spinks.
  3. I haven't gotten through the WCW stuff yet but the Cosby stuff was pretty funny. What was the WWA match you guys were saying to look up?
  4. The RoH show I went to last night was just over 4 hours with the pre-show. The building had no AC so I was pretty fried by the end of it.
  5. Yeah. It was just dumb. They looked cool throwing War Machine around but the crowd went dead silent because no one knew who they were.
  6. Looking it up. It was Keith Lee and Shane Taylor that ran in on the tag title match.
  7. So let's talk about the show I attended tonight. War Machine vs. The Addiction was a really good match. The crowd was super into it and things were going great. Then two guys who no one knew ran in and cost War Machine the match. You could just feel the crowd die with that result. Then they turn around with Strong/Briscoe as the main event. Crowd isn't super into it. So you do the screwjob in the co-main event so what do you do in your main event? Oh that's right, you have a ref bump cost your No. 1 Contender the match. You could feel like 75% of the crowd thinking "WTF" at the exact same time. That's some WCW level booking right there. And then there's Women of Honor. If you're not going to have a division on the level of NXT then don't bother. It looks like they settled for leftovers. The match times were all over the place on this show. Why the hell is Cheeseburger vs. the Beer City Bruiser getting similar time to Mark Briscoe vs. Stevie Richards and ANX vs. MCMG? The Bullet Club has the dynamics of the promotion all sorts of fucked up. I like the Bucks, I really go but RoH has found a way to make them completely insufferable to even people like me that enjoy them. But past that, the heel/face dynamic is all fucked up now. The crowd cheers them but they act like heels but then they pander to the crowd. It's just an absolute mess and I don't think they have the first clue how to work through it.
  8. Crowd killing 101. Get the crowd rocking with a great match and then have two nobodies run in and ruin it.
  9. There's no AC in the building and Cheeseburger is wrestling the Beer City Bruiser. Truly this is hell.
  10. This was a conversation that I had with my wife the other day. I was telling her that I almost didn't get a ticket to the Ring of Honor show for tomorrow because the shows are just too long. She asked how long they ran and agreed after I said 4.5 hours. I told her I'm usually ready to tap out around the 3 hour mark with the usually crappy seats and being in a crowd of people. She agreed that 2-2.5 hours seems to be a more reasonable length of time for a wrestling show. So what is your personal philosophy on this? Are you fine sitting through any length of show or are you like me and start to get a little restless after about 3 hours?
  11. WAVE is pretty awful. They have a lot of shows out there for free. A lot of younger workers that aren't very good.
  12. He was probably what the third or fourth best worker in the WWF in 1993?
  13. I always feel that the Wrestlecrap is directed at face Doink after Borne left. Even the original entry on Doink way back on the original Wrestlecrap said that heel Doink was good.
  14. Also if you and Bix need any help cutting up audio for the clip show just shoot me a PM.
  15. I haven't mentioned it in a long time. But you guys are the highlight of my week. I always go home after listening to the show and want to watch hours of wrestling.
  16. Danny Spivey had the perfect hair to be Captain Planet.
  17. I would say cut the guy a slight break. People tend to say really ignorant shit about mental illness until they see someone suffering from it first hand.
  18. Also didn't see it on here. If you support Championship Wrestling from Hollywood's Patreon for $2 a month you get access to all new and old TV for the promotion. That's I think about 6 years worth of content now.
  19. I believe you have to pay $5 for the Plex channel as a one time fee.
  20. The ECW Zombie was pretty shitty. My friends and I used to sit in an AIM chatroom during ECW and we made fun of the Zombie for months. I even did a fantasy booking around the Zombie going around the WWE biting other wrestlers and making more zombies just because it was funny. Where I think the Zombie was a bad was that was the first thing you saw on ECW and that was a bad first impression for people. I don't think it's an example of the first year of ECW being bad but I do think it was dumb and it's fun to mock. The Zombie is kind of like Sharknado.
  21. I didn't start watching until I was 16 years old and picked up WCW in 1997. I do remember the Hasbro action figure commercials for the WWF. That was probably my first real exposure to the WWF. I also remember Ultimate Warrior beating Hulk Hogan was a big deal around school at the time it happened. My first real exposure to the culture of wrestling was probably the Ren and Stimpy cartoon where they're wrestlers. Their opponents just beat the shit out of them for the entire cartoon and then lay down because they were supposed to job that night. I think that episode was from the first season.
  22. Still going. Started watching 1989 NWA from January forward. About to start the Clash of the Champions show and hoping to get the TV the week after in before bed. We're heading to the 11 hour mark!
  23. Wife is out of town today. I've been watching wrestling for 8 straight hours with no end in sight. It's glorious.
  24. I feel like he loses his charisma as Prince Puma but works a better style.
  25. It's functional but slow. If you pair and cast, you can line things up in a queue. I also want to throw out Plex here. Plex lets you create a small server on your laptop and then watch files on your TV. That's how I watch all the wrestling I've downloaded. Someone also made an RoH channel for Plex that pulls the TV off their website and let's you watch it on TV.
