  1. I'm not talking about that era. It disappeared for about 5 months before popping back up in the Hernandez/Homicide/Konnan configuration that I'm talking about.
  2. At that time it was being used by the Clippers and USC for basketball. And American Gladiators.
  3. LAX in the early months was good stuff. They had their own entrance and they would just come out and destroy people. That whole feud against AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels was really good and I think it was one of the best feuds they produced. Likewise, Sting vs. Jarrett was a really good program. Sting no selling the guitar shot, immediately pinning Jarrett and celebrating with the belt as a dejected Jarrett sat in the ring was the perfect send off to his era at the top. Low point was probably fucking up Monty Brown.
  4. I think Dean got wrongfully bundled into that group of talent people thought were being misused in WCW. If you look at his WCW career, they pushed him more and to higher levels than I think I would if I were booking him. I never would have thought to put the U.S. belt on him.
  5. I really liked his one match with Scotty 2 Hotty when I watched it a couple of years ago.
  6. Saying American Strong Style should be grounds for justifiable shanking.
  7. TNA had a pretty good product in 2005-2006 and that was the height of Jarrett as a creative force within the company.
  8. I've said it multiple times but Dean Malenko was a terrible Horseman. McMichaels wasn't a great worker but he knew how to project that Horsemen image far better than Dean ever knew how to.
  9. Yeah, I've been waiting to see some talent start getting signed.but it just isn't happening.
  10. I think they could get another tv deal but I don't think they'll have the money to survive very long. Especially if Jeff Jarrett can get some names attached to GFW and have a tv product lacking the baggage that TNA obviously has.
  11. I think you need to overwhelm people with content. They might not care for the old stuff but hit them with "wow, look at all the stuff on here!" It should feel like Netflix where you couldn't possibly ever watch everything offered.
  12. There's a Jerry Lawler and Randy Savage vs. King Kong Bundy and Rick Rude match from Memphis that is a fun match.
  13. Programs like Plex on Roku box has also really helped me get back into watching wrestling because I can watch all the stuff on my hard drives on the tv with little effort.
  14. I think it was. I remember running home from work for the new World Championship Wrestling every other week.
  15. After the Benoit murders, I fell off from wresting for a good 5 years. I did watch some old stuff but I didn't consume wrestling like I used to. In 2012 I started watching NXT on a weekly basis and other WWE tv. They eventually chased me off but it was the longest I had stuck to wrestling in a long time. Then I had my gall bladder removed in April. I watched the first 6 months of 1993 Raw, the Royal Rumble, Wrestlemania IX and King of the Ring during the week I was trapped at home. That just opened the floodgates. Next thing I knew I was watching SMW, ECW, Crockett and Chikara on a weekly basis. Next thing I knew I was buying DVDs again for the first time in years. Now I'm probably watching 4-8 hours of wrestling a week. It's not a ton but for the amount of time I have that's significant. I got that DVD set of 1985 World Wide Wrestling and I feel the passion again. It's sucked me in like nothing else has in a really long time.
  16. It's really such a small amount that I won't cancel. I just don't see why this is so hard. Just put a house show up a week, an ECW and a World Championship Wrestling. They did more with 24/7 Online and they never advertised that.
  17. I thought Jerry was a bore but Jack I've always enjoyed.
  18. It might have been Nord. He was very Brody looking at the time.
  19. I always thought the Dynamic Dudes were trying to cash in on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
  20. They did that massive 50 episode dump of ECW shows and haven't touched it since.
  21. Yeah, Dick Slater really sticks out like a sore thumb.
  22. Tully Blanchard and Buzz Tyler really surprised me with their match on the latest episode of World Wide Wrestling. Great little tv match with Blanchard taking a beating and then just trying to cheat and do whatever he had to do to try and beat Tyler. I didn't have a high opinion of Tyler heading into this one so I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this. Though Tully seems to bring his A game for his TV Title bouts no matter who he's wrestling. I also enjoyed the Dory Funk Jr. vs. Denny Brown match.
  23. I thought the Hogan seal of approval meant it was a legit attempt. His early promos were really obnoxious.
  24. Watching Superstars and Wrestling Challenge. Were they actually trying to debut the Honky Tonk Man as a face and it backfired or was it meant to be annoying and turn the fans on him instantly?
