I'm hoping if they bring NXT back they would run the Ice Haus. The LC Pavilion was interesting but I think there were too many bad seats.

Owen was trying to powerbomb Riley on the floor when Balor came out.
-
You forgot the best part of that Owens/Balor brawl was Owens getting that last stomp in on a beat up Riley as he left the ringside area. Really fun show. Main event was great and I thought the Charlotte/Bayley match was really good while it lasted. The Cesaro vs. Neville spot was, Neville went for a moonsault off the guard rail, Cesaro caught him and then just tossed him neck first onto the guard rail. I was in the balcony on that side so it was hard to see.

Someone in this thread mentioned there weren't fans at the first taping and those are extras and the fan situation gets better.

Knocked off about 5 weeks of 2014 TV. I'm enjoying it quite a bit as there's usually a match a week I like. Silas Young is great.

ROH 13th Anniversary Show... Live as it happens
Mad Dog replied to goodhelmet's topic in Pro Wrestling
No, I mean when is it gonna only be 15 bucks. I don't steal. I think you have to wait for the DVD for the best price. It looks like they won't drop the price on the site. -
I think 15 is by far the worst Wrestlemania. You have a card that ultimately looked nothing like the build up to the show. They did that stupid hot hot with Road Dogg and Billy Gunn which really screwed up the undercard. Nothing other than Austin/Rock was good. At least 9 had a couple of decent matches.

Someone has posted some video of a recent NOAH show. It looks like they're running the show in a warehouse.

Gallows had travel issues. -
I got the entire 2014 RoH TV on DVD and I'm starting to dig into that.
-
What about NXT. Have the champ go down for commentary. Guy comes out and challenges him and the champ has to wrestle in street clothes.

Is anyone here going to the Columbus show next week?
-
They upped the price on this PPV so I imagine the numbers will fall even further for it. They also recently asked Sinclair for a budget increase and were told no.

I don't think he was trying to turn it into UWFi but it shows how out of touch he was as a booker at the time. The talent hated it and the fans hated it. That's the sign of being a bad booker.

Can we throw Jim Cornette in here as a bad booker. If you strip out the good promos and matches and just look at the inner workings of SMW you have a pretty poorly booked area. Too many screw jobs, constant undercutting of his top faces, never moved a belt at the right time. His saving grace during this time period was filling the promotion with guys who could talk and work and staying out of their way as much as possible. OVW seems to be his magnum opus as a booker. From what I've seen he did a pretty good job of booking things. There was some silliness here and there but nothing outright offensive. His Ring of Honor run should be a candidate for a worst all time booking run though. It would be easier to talk about the talent he didn't ruin during his run with the company. He put the belts on the All Night Express when they weren't under contract and had to scramble after King left for TNA. He kept the belts on World's Greatest Tag Team for a really long time despite the fact that the fanbase wasn't really taking to them at all. He used the Headbangers when they were at least a decade past their primes and in general aren't a good fit for the product. Worked MMA crap that everyone but Jim Cornette hated. Was so behind the times that he was still trying stuff that fans would have mocked by the late 90s. In general, he was so terrible as a booker that the company is still feeling some of the effects of his absolute incompetence. And just to throw it out there. But his shoot where he booked his version of the Invasion was absolutely terrible. Vince Russo did a better job with his version.

Those are things Mutoh did outside of the job of booking though. Buying the company and helping it with star power aren't tied into his performance as the companies booker.
-
Unless he has documentation that counters what Punk said, I don't think he has a chance of winning. But he had to do this regardless, this will destroy any practice he has.
-
You could see the effects on TNA almost immediately. The product completely fell apart in a matter of weeks when he came back in 2006.
-
Not the worst by any means but I just wanted to throw Mutoh out there for his run with All Japan.

You can get several prime Jack Brisco matches on the All Japan Classics DVDs. -
Jerry Lawler - Any Outside of the Ring Shadiness?
Mad Dog replied to Smack2k's topic in Pro Wrestling
I think he has a lot of stigma because he wasn't one of the guys. He said on Stone Cold's podcast that he wasn't a party guy and that after shows he went to McDonalds and listened to the Indians on the radio. -

Yeah, his love of underage girls was one of his big ones. -
I got a good chuckle out of Tonga posting pictures of it on Twitter.

Ray Stevens and younger Don Leo Jonathan would be my first choices. Also more prime Verne Gagne after watching those Chicago Archives. Not matches but I would kill for archives of Crusher promos to be found. -
Have I ever mentioned on here how much I hate Karl Anderson as a singles wrestlers. He's one of those guys that always has to get all of his shit in no matter what kind of impact it has on the quality of the match. I think he's a really good tag worker though.
