  1. I went with Tully. I really liked his soft spoken approach to a lot of his promos. As I've watched 1985 Crockett, he is just amazing on TV. He goes out there every week and just has great matches with everyone. I also agree that he's just a great piece of shit. There was a promo on World Wide right before he found Baby Doll where he's encouraging women to write in to be his manager and he essentially said "nudes welcome" and it was great. I think he also accused David Crockett of having a hard on the first time he brought Baby Doll out. I also love the slingshot suplex as his finisher.
  2. The Ascension predate HHH being super hands on by a year or two I think.
  3. I loved those Nitros from Spring Break. There was something visually cool about the ring being surrounded by pools and having the element that a match could end up in the water.
  4. Okay. That makes sense in that context and why the fans were trying too hard.
  5. It's a small complaint but the crowd bugs me at these shows. They just reek of trying too hard. Love Pentagon Jr. though. More of him on my TV is a good thing.
  6. I liked the Edge, Punk and Ziggler cash ins which is a really low ratio. I liked the first couple of matches until they started putting guys in the match that couldn't make good use of the gimmick.
  7. I think the AJ win was obvious here. They were worried about him drawing at the Dome so they put the belt on Tanahashi and ran a safe main event. The belt is back on AJ so that Okada can finally beat him for the belt after the losses last year. Okada will win the New Japan Cup and challenge and win the belt in April or May.

I know there's always been a severe double standard but they've punished numerous guys for far less than this. I mean this is public embarrassment for the company. I think he'll still be in the mix but I think it could effect what they do with him, maybe cost him a title reign.
  9. I always felt that his ladder match with Eddie Guerrero at Souled Out in 1997 was really underrated. I really like his tag team with Kane at the time. I thought he was probably the best WWF wrestler in 98. I thought his GWF suff holds up well too.

They should incorporate it into the show. They could get some massive heat off of that.
  11. I think Waltman at the absolute peak of his abilities might have been better. But Arn absolutely destroys him with longevity and the list of great matches he's had. I find them to be hard to compare though. They are polar opposites in almost every regard.
  12. That's what I always thought. Also, NXT is easy for him to do right because he isn't involved on air with the product. HHH's biggest mistakes always involve his over estimation of his own abilities.
  13. I always thought it was accepted practice in Japan to phone it in on C shows like these. You're just supposed to tag in, do your big shit and get out without hurting yourself.
  14. He's been around forever and been pretty loyal. He works well with most of the guys on the roster.
  15. They also ran a VIP ticket for $100 where you could meet Ric Flair, Big Show and Ryback before the show. I think those were all front row seats.
  16. I know ECW crammed about 1000 people in the Newport Music Hall and I believe that's a smaller venue.
  17. The balcony seats aren't reflected on the seating chart and I'm not sure how many standing room only tickets they're cramming in there. If I had to throw out a guess maybe somewhere between 800-2000 people.
  18. The NHL is the primary sport I follow these days. Total white guy sport.
  19. Those demographics seem to match up with the general American public.
  20. Im hindsight I think them using Eddie Guerrero's corpse as a plot device to be worse than any of the other angles mentioned. Still pisses me off.
  21. When in your opinion did the shows get better. I check out the cards from time to time and nothing grabs me. I can always use something for a rainy day.
  22. There are sites you can use that have addresses. I sent him what I wanted signed, a letter and a self addressed stamped envelope and just waited. Let me look and I'll PM you the address I used.
  23. That's a little older than I thought he was. I knew he was at least in his mid 40s during his last IWGP Title run.
  24. It is sold out. It's supposed to be at the LC Amphitheater. It's an outdoor concert venue, with a lawn. 5,500 capacity for concert events. Usually pit seats and lawn seats, and from the ticket layout, I'd guess the ring will be where the pit seats usually are. No idea how many tickets sold, but there's room at that location to sell more. Also is being co-promoted by Arnold. Not sure if there were tickets packages including the NXT show. Was this promoted on NXT in any way? Was there local promotion for the event? Why are they bringing all these guys to a bodybuilding competition/convention where WWE is going to try and recruit? It's an indoor/outdoor venue actually. They're doing it indoors. Trying to run an outdoor event the first week of March would be insanity. A lot of sporting events latch onto the Arnold Expo weekend. WEC did it several times to great success before the UFC shut it down. It's one of the biggest events that come through the city on a yearly basis. The tickets were sold as their own deal. They went on sale at 10 and a friend of my wife could only find standing room only by about 1 the same day. I was on right at 10 to get my tickets. I'm guessing there's going to be a lot of people traveling in for this. But Columbus has always supported wrestling. ECW, TNA and RoH have all done well here.
  25. I'm never disappointed with a DDT show. Even when the matches aren't great I always enjoy myself a lot. The belt winning itself in April was great.
