I tried this a few years ago and didn't get very far. But I'm trying to watch ECW from the "start" of the television so to speak. I'm 4 episodes in. It's had it's moments but isn't great so far. I'd classify the best 5 workers on the roster as Terry Funk, Eddie Gilbert, Chris Candido, Johnny Hotbody and JT Smith so far. The Rockin' Rebel is probably a distant 6th on that list. Funk sounded rally disinterested and drunk when he was an announcer but slipped into crazy old man mode after Gilbert attacked him with a chair. So that feud is pretty good.

Austin loves Vader if you ever listen to his podcast. He also has Dick Murdoch and Bob Orton Jr. as two of his favorite wrestlers.

Also, wrestlers I think have different criteria than smart fans. They're going to take into account things like how easy that guy is to work with and backstage stuff. We might not enjoy a wrestler and think he's boring but he might be easy and safe to work with and that's going to win wrestlers over more than it will us.

The factual errors are because he doesn't understand wrestling very well. I've heard him on Bill Simmons twice and was almost screaming at my Ipod multiple times for each appearance because he gets so much shit wrong or just doesn't know. Great example is they were talking about Bret Hart and Curt Henning and Simmons wondered why Hennig just kind of disappeared after losing the IC title to Hart. He never once told Simmons that it was because Hennig was hurt. And those are just the things that I caught and my memories of anything pre-2012 are blurry at best.

That was my issue with Slaughter/Kernodle. It was a really brief run but it was one of the best tag team feuds of all time.

What about some of these teams: New Age Outlaws Sgt. Slaughter and Don Kernodle Ivan and Nikita Koloff Ric Flair and Greg Valentine

I know belts mean very little in the grand scheme of things but they were in a same group of teams to win WWF, NWA/WCW and IWGP tag gold. They were maybe the 4th best feud in WCW in 1997 with the Outsiders and probably in the range of 4-6 on the top face list. They also had that awesome match against Hase and Sasaki and were in the 91 War Games.

I find your list to be hard to argue. I would agree I think some people have weaker cases than others. I would add to the list: Hart Foundation Texas Outlaws Edge and Christian Brute Bernard and Skull Murphy

I really enjoyed Boyd's cold and clinical approach to wrestling.

I would create a daily Sportscenter style show. Do highlights of the shows and PPVs. Maybe film some footage of house shows to show. Push the hell out of the PPVs and break down the matches like you would the playoffs in other sports. I think with some work, you could really create a great show from that.

Gorgeous George was a fairly exaggerated bumper from the handful of matches I've seen him in.

Is there even any footage of Iron Mike Dibiase out there? I don't think tons of fans know who Misawa is but I really doubt more than a handful of current fans and smarks know anything about Dibiase other than his relation to his son. I really only know who he is because Filsinger Games released a card of him for their Legends card game. That's really it as I've never encountered footage of him and not a lot is written about him.

Some guys go into 50/50 mode. You're probably right. It just feels more pronounced with Kofi for some reason.

I love this show. It really blows Colt's show out of the water in every regard.

My problem with Kofi is that he takes weird angles on his moves. So his match structure can be fine but his moves just look like shit because he always takes awkward angles to everything. I really dug his Main Event match with the Miz last year. I don't know how they pulled that match out of their ass. I think they need to find a better middle ground with Kofi. It feels like he's either holding the IC/US/Tag belts or getting jobbed out.
