I was surprised that they actually let the wrestlers rip on the gimmick the WWF gave Dusty.

It's pretty easy to see what Cena's done. He's reverted a lot of the IWC back into marks. He's playing them like any old school territory heel would play the fans.

I wonder how HBK and HHH feel stealing McMahon potshots material from Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho... And that Benoit of all people was funnier than either of them.

He'll just chalk it up to him being the greatest ever. I have serious concerns that this summer and fall will be talked about in an infamous manner a decade from now. HHH has been laying low for almost a year and I fear that was to justify what's coming. Heels getting buried and faces getting undercut.

I think they would have to with TNA being on national tv now. I think the tag titles getting world status again is more interesting. Though it won't make any difference because TNA is going out of business in 3 months anyway. And if they haven't gone out of business by then don't worry because they'll just go out of business in 3 months.

It amazes me that people try to bash his ringwork considering smarks have latched onto much worse workers and proclaimed them as great. I actually really like Cena because he pisses people off so much and creates such an irrational reaction from some people. As far as business wise. The WWF hasn't had someone create this kind of reaction since the Rock left. My only concern is that HHH and Michaels are going to go out of their way to bury him over the next couple of months. It was really pathetic seeing Michaels try to upstage Cena on a weekly basis last year.

Also does this new DX mean we'll be treated to man ass on a weekly basis?

It's so Michaels and HHH can be unprofessional asses and bury half the roster while taking up an obscene amount of television time. HHH has been laying low for almost a year so you know it's going to be really bad for at least the next 3-4 months.

I love the irony of them paying good money to go to a WWF show so that they can chant "fuck WWE." I guess the mutants were never the brightest bulbs anyway.

They were pretty good brawlers. I thought Knobbs actually did pretty well when he came back as a singles for the WCW Hardcore division. They weren't great by any means though.

I've never really been able to tell. I've always assumed that Knobbs was the better worker overall. But what's your opinion on it?

Hotshotting the belt onto Joe would be the worst thing they could possibly do at this point. There's money in Steiner/Joe doing a world title program but only if Joe is chasing for the title. Any other way and you ruin some part of the forumla. I think that program could put them on the map financially and they could pull a huge buyrate by promising Joe finally winning the title.

Scott D'Amore has been the closest thing to a good old school manager in a long while. So of course people hate him and complain about everything he does right as a manager. I thought Chris Candido had a lot of potential as a manager but he died after only a few months. I forgot James Mitchell as well. He's a really good manager.

Evil Russians: I still love this heel archtype. Abdominal stretch: You don't see this hold nearly enough these days and it's even rarer for a heel to grab the ropes. True Heels: Everyone's got to be this cool heel type now. It usually only accomplishes undercutting the babyface because a cool heel makes them look bland. Mysterious Asian Heel: The type that never really talks and not much is known about. Also uses mist or salt to gain an unfair advantage. Managers: The WWF has used male managers in almost a decade. It seems the current idea of a manager is parading a pair of tits out there and hoping that will somehow make up for the fact that a wrestler can't talk. Even the women valets aren't as interesting anymore. I'd take Sherri Martel over anyone out there right now.

I think he's the kind of heel you need. People are just too tired of Jarrett and Brown/Abyss don't have the aura that Steiner has. I think you lead up to it with Steiner getting DQed a few times in title matches and do a cage match where Joe finally goes over in a bloodly brawl. Then for Sting's final match you have Joe go over him.

I have to say that I've really become a fan of his again since he joined TNA. He's been a fabulous heel. I love the way that he goes out every week and through the strength of his promos forces a smark crowd to react more like marks would. I really wish more heels in wrestling would take his approach. No trying to be cool, just making the people hate you. I think he might actually be my second favorite current heel in wrestling behind only El Hijo Del Perro Aguayo. Funny how playing to a guy's strengths and covering up his weaknesses at the same time can work like that. Steiner just goes to show you that the WWF is more interested in making some guys fail. I think TNA should consider giving Steiner the title at Victory Road so that they can do a long term program of Samoa Joe chasing him for it.

I've never understood it. You would think being a friend of Shane McMahon's would've bought him some protection in the booking. He's another one of those guys that probably could've been a fixture in the upper mid-card had someone just stopped to think about the future a little bit.

He was actually really over in 1999 with the Stephanie stuff but was ruined once he wasn't allowed to even get a match with HHH until like 2 years later.

I was flipping around and National Geographic Channel is having a show where a segment is about joshi and the GAEA federation. And have interviews with several women.

Yeah, but it's two announcers fighting. Lawler has done more to bury actual wrestlers in matches than he did with Tazz. I find the whining about Angle squashing Credible to be more annoying. Credible is a nobody who got the ECW Title because there was literally no one else to give the belt to. On a national scale for any other company he's been a lower mid-card kind of guy. It reminds me of when Mick Foley was a lower mid-card guy and would whine that guys like Sting wouldn't give him much in matches.

I was in the mood for some bad wrestling so I bought that XWF set off Amazon earlier today. Should be interesting when it gets here.

It's quality entertainment seeing all the net fans crying about Cena.

After watching the Dusty DVD I decided to watch the Wrestling Gold set again. I still haven't watched this with the regular commentary because Meltzer/Cornette are just that damn good during this set.
