It's really slow until you get to that story. I think it picks up once Dormammu gets introduced around 127. The really long story arc from 130-146 is where I feel like it finally gets it's footing. And it's kind of interesting to see such a long term story arc in the 60s. I was kind of just reading an issue here or there and then I hit that and just polished off 20 issues over the weekend.

Strange Tales #130-146 is probably the best work done in Silver Age Marvel. A 17 part epic Dr. Strange tale that also introduces Eternity.

I was never huge on Aldis but I thought he was okay during the initial run. His act is beyond tired now and it's made worse because it doesn't feel like there's anyone in the promotion that can take the belt off of him. But he's quickly become an instant fast forward for me now. Their best two workers, one is going commentary and they wrote the other one off of TV for a month.

I think they would be fine with the downgrade in talent if they still had competent writing and were putting effort in. This has been the last 3 weeks: Regular episode Recap/Promo episode Regular episode that is essentially a rerun of the episode from 2 weeks ago. They're almost 2 months into this. Nothing has happened and they have needed 2 mini episodes to bridge gaps in 7 weeks. It's just crazy how lazy what they're doing is. Sal hasn't even gotten his fucking tag title shot and they started that storyline as soon as the restart happened.

I think I am out on the NWA. It's just not very good. Such low effort content. They had a recap episode last week and half the matches are rematches from 2 weeks ago. What's the point.

Chikara was the best show I ever went to. 3 pm on a Sunday after and I was done by 5:30. Good variety of matches and the main was the only thing that went longer than 12 minutes. I went to one RoH show that started at 6:30 and it's fucking 11:30 and they do a 40 minute main that went until past midnight. This was in Dayton so I had about an hour drive home. I couldn't get out of that show quick enough. Edit: I was also sitting next to a guy that had to weigh at least 500 lbs. because he was sitting in a chair but he was practically sitting on me too because his fat was just laying on me. I'm questioning my life decisions right now...

Honestly, any show that goes over 3.5 hours starts to become boring to me especially live. Some of those RoH shows I went to live went 4-5 hours and I was just done by the last hour each and every time.

Wrestlemania IV is a total slog of a show.

The Lapsed Fan goes over their TV really well. They got backed by the Christian Broadcasting Network around 1981 and got syndicated and some absurd amount of money for production like 20k an episode.

Minoru Suzuki. He might not check the size box though.

WWE TV 05/03 - 05/09 Big Roman made little Bryan humble.

It's a super messy situation and I think it's impossible to say who's telling the truth or lying there. But that's the jist of it as far as I remember it. -
Wow. I didn't realize it had only been 2 regular episodes before another recap. That's just ridiculous. I am probably going to give them to the next PPV and then dropping.

She had a really good match with Awesome Kong about a year before getting signed and then had a solid stretch where just doing basic stuff competently made you look like a genius. Then good workers started coming up to the main roster and she got exposed as not being that great and she's just needed a break for a long time.

Spider-Man stands out even all these decades later. All of the books in that era have some degree of merit but it's obvious from the first page of Amazing Fantasy #15 that Ditko and Lee had something special on their hands. I like how fearless they were in changing the status quo early on too. It's funny people want to always take him back to high school and he graduated by about issue 24. Great cast of villains as well. I have been reading a lot of the new Marvel Conan comics. Those have all been fairly fun most months.

I think her general lack of talent has something to do with it.

They could really use his mind right now. It kind of feels like they don't know what the fuck they're doing. I know they lost a lot of their roster but the Nick Aldis act is just kind of tired and the Murdoch feud feels like filler to me. They also have had the heels win almost all of the major matches. The heels winning last week was just kind of fucking stupid because they already don't have good faces on TV and you've made Trevor Murdoch look like a dumbass at almost every turn.
-
If they keep it up I am just going to drop my subscription. That is really lazy when people are paying for the TV now.
-
That would explain a lot because he has gotten increasingly awkward in that period of time.
-
I felt like his ringwork had been getting progressively worse before the allegations first hit. I know I had started to sour on him leading up to that. He had that really good match with Riddle and it's been kind of downhill since then.
-
Yeah, I get the positives of it but he has a history of being a real bitch about anything remotely negative so it really just comes across as him being overly sensitive to anything.
-
I remember reading that interview and going "of course he likes no fans".

"He's ambitiously stupid" - Why Scott Keith's new book is scary bad
Mad Dog replied to Bix's topic in Megathread archive
I would say yes because the stigma of that is something you can really never shake off even if you prove it wasn't true. -
I avoid Twitter and most social media like the plague. I only bounce in to message people privately. I find all of Twitter to just be a garbage pile. Both sides are usually intolerable. I find the talent to typically be thin skinned babies about even the mildest of critique or something they find on a vanity search and I don't even know what the hell people calling themselves fans are doing on there.

WWE TV 04/26 - 05/02 Roman Reigns fans are the smartest in the world

It lets her get on screen and not wrestle. Which I think for her is good because of her injury history. I hate the gimmick though. -
