  1. I've really enjoyed Stardom the last couple of years. Great promotion and I really dig the style. I've also branched out and checked out some of the other promotions and have also enjoyed them. Historical joshi is something I'm pretty blind too. I've watched some matches here and there but I would really like to dig in more. So where's a good place to start? I'm assuming AJW? What are the best matches? Should I cherry pick the top end matches or watch things in context?
  2. I say skip ahead and watch the month of Jericho and Benoit vs. Austin.
  3. Yeah this has been leaving me scratching my head, you'd think he'd be a guy Vince would go crazy to push, but I guess maybe he's proof Vince's age phobia (Lashley is 41) is stronger than his muscle fetish. But if that's the case, why'd they even bother bringing him back? They've been very 1980s WWE about some of their recent signings. They just want them so that someone else can't have them, then they don't know what to do with them.
  4. I would just move him over. The top guy on Smackdown isn't the ace of the company. So I would move AJ over to Raw and put him on top. Then I would put Big E on top of Smackdown as the Champion as a part of New Day.
  5. I would say AJ Styles. He's shown he has legs and is over with the crowd. You could easily position him as the top guy for a couple of years while you groom Johnny Gargano to be the face of the company.
  6. Randy Savage vs. Rick Steiner from the 2000 Tokyo Dome show for New Japan!
  7. Yeah, I'm glad it's gone. It was spilling out into other areas way too much.
  8. I also want to start the fire Nia, hire Viper band wagon.
  9. Mauro has his odd quirks and irritating habits, but he's still the best by far. You generally won't get that opinion on a board that worships the rancid Booker T though. I like that he actually talks like a human being. He doesn't speak WWE which makes him refreshing. He also seems to genuinely enjoy what he's watching unlike any of the main roster guys. Even Graves seems like he's been infected by Cole's shittiness.
  10. Oh yeah, I refused to watch WWE TV during heel Cole.
  11. I'm a loner here in that I like Mauro. I've never liked Coach but currently it feels like he's forcing himself into conversations. His interjections don't feel natural at all. Kevin Kelly is kind of my benchmark for a bad announcer and I think he's worse than Kelly.
  12. Goldberg in WCW was an epic failure.
  13. He's kind of protected where he is though. I think you could put the Universal Title on him if you keep him kind of in the background. Trying to put him in Braun or Roman's spot would be death when he has to talk that much.
  14. Oh, I'm not saying bury him in the mid-card. He should be a top guy, just not someone you build long term around. You can go month to month having him in important matches with the odd title challenge here and there without having him in your long term plans.
  15. Both of them are always an injury away but the head injuries tend to derail guys quicker than those other things go.
  16. Is there a worse announcer, take experience level into it please, than Coach?
  17. I don't blame them one bit for not trusting Bryan. It's not even his fault really but you can't make long term plans around a guy that is one wrong fall or kick away from being done for good.
  18. I'm not a Rowan fan but he's kind of scary and looks cool standing around. I give him a slight edge.
  19. Especially the last year. They sacrificed the entire proportion for that Lesnar/Reigns match.
  20. How many times has Nia thrown someone to land badly on their shoulder already ? The reviews of this show are so damn awful that I almost want to get back on my post GRR decision, as a pro-wrestling masochist. I said almost. 3 times.
  21. They don't even need an ace though. It would be nice but if you can jump through a couple of guys that get hot the next few years, then it's just as valid to me.
  22. I don't know if I've ever seen Dick the Bruiser bump either.
  23. He usually pops up around late June or early July. But he did work GRR so he might be out till August.
  24. I agree on Rollins. He was at the top for historic losses in ratings and I think it would happen again. He's a terrible promo and I think given time that goodwill would evaporate quickly.
  25. I think with Braun you just have him murder people until the fans start getting tired of it. Then you can experiment with injury angles. He doesn't need to be the guy for 5 years. You just need him to get you through some PPVs.
