  1. I was heavy my entire life. It was actually surprisingly easy for me as all I did was track my calories daily. It's kind of amazing the quality of life I was allowing myself to deal with. There were just so many aches and pains that I accepted that are just gone now. My arthritis got a lot better as well. I quickly realized that I coped with stress by eating. That was and is really tough to deal with some days. But that's also why I'm glad I did it myself and didn't do surgery or anything. I faced those demons and learned about my poor relationship with food and I've taught myself how to be healthy and how to maintain. People would always ask me while I was hardcore on the diet about what food I missed the most and they were always surprised when I said toast. 2 weekends ago was the first time I had eaten a bagel in about 2 years. Just stick with it, the best feeling is when you have to go and buy a new pair of pants because your old ones got too big.
  2. He's got a bunch of stuff against Wahoo in 75 and 76, I think there's a good chance you could find someone great if it's on tape.
  3. I think it was caused by show burn out. You had this, Greatest Royal Rumble and Mania all in a very short period of time.
  4. He debuted in 1955. So there is nothing to judge him on before then.
  5. It's amazing how quickly he became good. There was a certain timing and crisp execution that he had early that always surprises me. He also seemed to carry himself with a certain confidence.
  6. Chief Jay Strongbow has 1955-1985 on that one.
  7. What's Jeff Jarrett's first great match? At worst you're talking 1992 with one of the Moondogs matches and then 2011 with Kurt Angle.
  8. Oh yeah, I fucking hated Taker at the time. Listening to that episode I almost wanted to start a thread on Taker's unprofessionalism in this time period.
  9. I like Curb but I can only watch so much of it. It's funny but it's too uncomfortable to watch in large doses.
  10. I'm surprised that won worst match of the year. There were some excellent contenders from the WWE that year with Bagwell/Booker and some of those Austin/Taker and HHH/Kane matches from the spring.
  11. Rich was pretty huge even if it was briefly. He was big enough that he lived off of that peak for like 15 years.
  12. Awesome. It's nice for us because we both work downtown so we have free parking for Blue Jackets games.
  13. I'm big into retro gaming. I have an old tube TV set up in the basement with an Atari 7800, NES, Famicom, Master System, SNES, Genesis, N64 and Dreamcast. I also have a couple of different Gameboys, Game Gear and Neo Geo Pocket Color.
  14. Pete, do you go to any of the Blue Jackets games?
  15. My wife and I are season ticket holders for the Columbus Blue Jackets. We actually did a podcast on the team for a couple of years. Team even invited us to an event as press. I still have my credentials from that event.
  16. I still track everything and weigh myself regularly. I'm not putting it back on.
  17. I would really have to think on TV shows. I will spread my love of Rick and Morty though. Also, it didn't fit anywhere here but I am coming up on my weight loss anniversary next week. I got diagnosed with diabetes in 2016 so I dropped from 285 lbs. to 185 lbs. Next week is my 1 year anniversary for hitting my goal and keeping the weight off. I also don't have diabetes anymore because of the weight loss.
  18. Didn't Ole hit on Tommy Rich though? Sure he burned out but that seems like a bigger hit than a lot of other promotions every had.
  19. I checked out his Wiki page to see if he did much post WWE. He had a chronic heart problems and a brain tumor lead to him having cancer of the cerebrospinal fluid. I didn't even know that was thing.
  20. I really liked young punk Styles from 02-03 in TNA.
  21. I remember him more for his GWF appearances than his WWF work.
  22. So I'm looking at a list. Would I be good just starting in late 1991 with AJW and moving forward on the shows?
  23. Don't jump into the 90's, jump into the 80's first. The Gokuaku Domei vs. Crush Gals feud is must watch. Are the AJW Classics discs worth getting for the 80s content?
  24. I'm a big context watcher so I might go that way. Is ARSION okay to jump into first or should I save it for after some of the earlier 90s stuff?
  25. I believe he's making a joke about his HHH thread that has lost the formatting and it makes it look like he's writing these giant rants with no paragraphs.
