Yeah, Voices of Wrestling’s NJPW pod announced it last week, I believe.

It was more tongue in cheek but the NJPW Show has already been leaked/announced so yeah, AEW acknowledging it would be a step forward. They can’t really push towards it right now due to them prepping for Double or Nothing but something interesting with BCC and NJPW on that show would be worthwhile.

Vince always saw a tag team as a try out for singles guys due to how Bret and Shawn turned out for him so that’s why actual tag teams have floundered under him. Or as a way to slow burn something until a split and a feud.

Would not be the first time Vince made market-based adjustments to product based on competition.

It’s a dumb way to end a match regardless. Those types of angles never lead to anything meaningful even if they play off a mistake. It takes away from too much in the match. If it was a mistake, move on from it. Making it an angle is making way too much out of something that will have a minimal payoff at best.

Did they really do a fuck finish to protect Ospreay against MOXLEY? Where there’s absolutely no question whatsoever who’s the more important talent in that partnership regardless of home promotion? Good lord.

“Buried” almost always means “not featured in high profile matches on regular basis on featured TV” when it’s brought up, so that’s more than likely what folks mean. That will more than likely change given ROH involvement but they usually do well given any type of exposure.

Bucks have been Very Not Good for going on five years now. They will always have their fans but the style has gotten stale and their shtick has gotten worse. Joe will have to be used in spurts, and I also feel like he is going to want to play the hits one last time. Tony will absolutely want to run Joe/Punk, and considering Punk might actually beat Page for the title, and All Out is upon us, they could headline that as a swan song of sorts.

We also have a very blown up version of what WALTER was coming in and regardless of what you thought of him, Vince saw him as “another Cesaro.”

Yeah, but it’s the same folks over and over again at this point. They keep running the same programs, they all seem interchangeable in a ton of ways. Neither Drew nor Lashley inspire confidence for actual compelling challenges. That’s part of the problem.

And that babyface was a originally a heel who became a babyface entirely because of the disposition of the fanbase of the time!

Austin also has a big time soft spot for Owens, as Owens has told the story numerous times about meeting him in an airport and talking about how Austin’s promos helped him learn to speak English better. That was somewhat alluded to but nerve overtly, and I feel that’s why Austin did it, even if the payday was also substantial.
