  1. Ahhhhhh, I was behind I take it all back
  2. Bryan on last instead of Cole would have been much more satisfying, and saving him for the Ashe show seems like Tony wanting more ratings than buzz.
  3. TK out here trying to win ratings wars, just incredible banter.
  4. I’m sorry but that’s really hilarious. And not in a good way.
  5. Bahahahahahahahahahahaha
  6. One of the great booking decisions Baba ever did. To have essentially your co-Ace on the native side out of half the match, and give Kawada such an amazing amount of shine was a big move. This would be copied in the inverse on 6/9/95, but this was sensational because Kawada actually looked like had a shot at times given Gordy’s placement. Just incredible stuff.
  7. I should have guessed Suzuki would have shown up given he’s doing his long US tour. Should be fun at Full Gear.
  8. Main show should have Excalibur/Ross/Tony.
  9. There are a million ways to book the match, and I have all the confidence that they know how to make both guys shine.
  10. That actually means Danielson is closing the show. So even better.
  11. The issue with the G1 is that I’m sure the plan was for the big AEW names to be a part of it this year, but with the COVID issues in Japan and traveling not as reliable back and forth? It just couldn’t be done. But next year, with the chance that Punk/Bryan/Mox et all would be available? Sign me up for that.
  12. Dude literally had an NXT Svalbard on the map, what in the world.
  13. That was my argument, but if he tries a vanity fed, that will be an even more epic failure.
  14. I’d imagine they save the in-ring for Friday to drive that number but it’ll be good to see them both in the ring together at some point.
  15. They’ll have plenty of time when they get fired then.
  16. He’ll appear on Sunday for sure. And then he leads off Wednesday night to push for the 9/22 show.
  17. The dinosaur needs to pocket the spin kick given that’s Black’s finish.
  18. Punk posing with Giannis, Brandon Cutler out here taking falls in build-up tags, wrestling is BACK, baby!
  19. Again, feels like this was a show that was booked a while in advance, but didn’t have the ability to pivot nearly as well given at the right moments. Like they had the card ready, we’re gonna do what the plan was, circumstances be damned. I don’t think I’ve really seen that from Tony yet as a booker, and I don’t know what the feedback loop looks like there, but it’s pretty easy to know that how you end a show the most important part, and that wasn’t it.
  20. Something big happen recently or something?
  21. I think my point was more that the folks coming in from outside the company are used to being featured more, and with so many of those folks being brought in at once, you have a natural tendency to oversaturate. There are plenty of older talents there they need to figure out how to mix and match, and while it seems the majority of them understand how to give back, that’s more theory than practice, and I think giving time to guys that are past their peak isn’t as helpful as one thinks, especially when there is this obvious bounty of younger guys they can push.
  22. @KawadaSmile The thread is open now.
  23. I’m sorry for breaking the board. Loss, don’t kill me.
  24. So it’s pretty obvious that with the NXT makeover, the next several weeks are going to give AEW the opportunity to basically create the roster they’ve always wanted, along with what looks to be significant talent cuts on the main roster, and maybe some folks feeling WWE isn’t what they want it to be. However, even with three hours of TV and the two Dark programs, there is this feeling of a roster crunch when it comes to showcasing talent, and one of things AEW has done well, which is bring along new talent, might not be as highlighted as much when they have to make TV time for so many folks. Is this a good thing? We just saw NXT wither away after being a hit promotion for a spell, and with the major indies basically drying up due to COVID, there’s going to be a top down push thanks to who AEW can bring in. Is this gonna be to their detriment? Or will they be able to actually make things happen with basically every non-WWE talent at their disposal?
  25. There really isn't much that can be done for basically everyone on this show tonight, really. It really does have a Final Nitro feel to it.
