Nickelodeon is owned by Viacom, not AMC.

They were definitely on at different times. Nitro was displaced during those weeks every year of its run.

What was the "main event" of Beach Blast 92?
Boondocks Kernoodle replied to Dylan Waco's topic in Pro Wrestling
I remember WCW Magazine billing Steamboat-Rude as the main event, so I guess that would be it. However, if I had sequenced the show, Sting-Cactus would have gone on last. Not sure why the title wasn't on the line in that one. Also, I know it was the right decision for Steamboat to go over in the Iron Man match, and it wasn't the time for Rude to lose the belt, but from a kayfabe standpoint, I don't think it makes much sense for that to have been a non-title match. Perhaps it was explained well on TV at the time. For what it's worth, the reason why neither of those matches went last is that both Steamboat and Cactus had to come out later for their angle. -

I knew that they were overdubbing music that they don't own rights to, but I didn't realize that includes the Slam Jam songs. I guess this is the result of Jimmy Papa suing them. How am I supposed to fully enjoy the nostalgic experience of watching '93 WCW without "A Man Called Sting" and "Simply Ravishing?"

Are there really only two options in this situation? I don't think this angle will do any long-term damage to Bryan, because at some point (maybe tomorrow, maybe in a couple of months) he will turn on the Wyatts and go back to his old character and everyone will love it. But if this storyline does last a few weeks, will it really do him any good to change his name, gear, theme music, and working style (not sure how much working style will change but he's going to have to work heel to some degree for the angle to make sense)? For what Bryan is - an upper midcarder in a midcard angle - it's fine. For the top-level face he should be, I wouldn't do it. If this leads to Cena-Wyatt at Mania and Bryan is still with the Wyatts, I don't think that's a good thing because Bryan will be seen as playing second fiddle to Bray. But when this storyline is over he'll move on and he'll be a main eventer if they want him to or he'll be a midcarder if they want him to. It's all leading to a Daniel Bryan vs Bray Wyatt match eventually which Bryan will win, so there.

This seems out of nowhere, as the Observer was reporting last week that Brock was expected back the week of or after the Rumble. I wonder if WWE felt they needed to respond to the rumors of him going back to UFC by putting him on TV immediately, so as to avoid the impression that they were losing a promotional war.

He's on the 50 years of WWE DVD that just came out, and he waved to the crowd at Raw a few weeks ago. As far as I know, that's it. -
Is BrickHithouse Victator? Just a week ago he was asking how he could read Vic's posts, and now here he is getting banned and acting nutty the same way Vic did.

You should have to pay to read his posts. -
It's worth noting that this was the day after Dale Earnhardt was killed and I remember a lot of complaining about it on the wrestling sites that WCW would run a funeral angle the day after a famous person died. I always thought that was a dumb criticism, because Dale Earnhardt wasn't a wrestler, but a lot of people took exception to it. Flair even mentioned it in his book.

I remember he showed up on Smackdown in 2006 in a Diva Search segment, always found that random but great. Yeah, I randomly came across a Luke Perry Grantland thing where he talks to Simmons about wrestling and the first time he saw Kevin Sullivan. It's a little-known fact that Luke was actually in attendance the night of Mr. McMahon's death in that awful explosion, and he was quite despondent over it. -
The guy who played Maurice Levy on The Wire should play Heyman.

I demand that Cesaro giant swing the bull (by the ankles) and toss him outside the ring like in Tecmo World Wrestling.

Not sure if you're aware of this but this was indeed Goldberg's last WCW appearance. What a way to go out.

[1996-07-22-ECW-TV] Kimona Wanalaya striptease

I think what Loss was saying here is that he bought Extreme Warfare Vol. 2 thinking Kimona actually got naked and was disappointed with the lack of tits.
