  1. Wildcat, I will check out those files, and I forwarded the link to my buddy who is super into legends. As for the whole Gulak/Thatcher/Busick style question... If we are 100% certain that Gulak is also Soldier Ant, I have to say he is one of the better all around wrestlers I have seen in a long time.
  2. I played Legends up until I moved, because the guy that got me into the game had all of the Legends stuff. It breaks my budget keeping up with the indy releases, so I've never gotten around to picking up all the Legends stuff for myself.
  3. Never have been able to get into Champions at all. I am a sci-fi guy, but I don't like it mixed with wrestling. All of the color indy sets keep me well occupied!!
  4. Having never been a fan of the guy, I wanted to give credit where it's due. Batista was absolutely fantastic in Guardians of the Galaxy.
  5. Not that I am aware of. Well...did you buy one of the 8 x 10's?? Surely he worked you up with anticipation of your very own picture with Virgil only to snatch it away from you at the moment of climax, forcing you to buy the picture that you were promised for free. Although I was devastated to not have photographic proof of my encounter with WWE SUPERSTAR VIRGIL, I did not buy the 8x10, because a 20 dollar picture is too much for anyone, let alone a guy I never really cared for!
  6. Tonight I made my commentary debut for one of the local promotions in the Pittsburgh area, and I had to share this. Randomly, not booked, Virgil showed up tonight, set up a gimmick table with four different 8 X 10's, a replica Million Dollar Title, a WWE Superstar Virgil banner, and a big picture of him with Dibiase and began to tell anyone who would listen that he was 19 when the picture was taken, he could bench 620 pounds back then, and that he broke into the business with Fatu and Yokozuna in 1986. He also told me at intermission that since I was working the show he would take a free picture with me after it was over. Then after it was over, he told me he didn't have time to take the picture, because he had to roll up his banner, unless I wanted to buy one of his 8 x 10's!
  7. WWE.com has an article on the 10 best looking title belts, and ranked the ugly ass new title over the 10 Pounds of Gold! Big Gold was #1, and the old NWA TV title made the list, so I can't hate on it too much though.
  8. I found my hard back copy of his first book yesterday to take with me. It will fit nicely next to my autographed Terry Funk book. Appreciate the info about your wife enjoying it, and how much merch was.
  9. I am going Thursday night in Pittsburgh. Do you think a non-wrestling fan would enjoy the show? My wife is coming with me, and apart from commenting that Chris Jericho was cute back in '98 she has no interest, and I am scared she is going to hate it.

He was saying that since things didn't go his way last night he was going to angrily tweet about it and stop watching the show. He might even do an Instagram or a Vine, and that he and his friend Mark were going to riot.

Hunter's opening promo on Raw was something......
  12. They should go ahead and put Kane over to make this night complete.
  13. Holy Shit, and there were people calling Money in the Bank bad.
  14. Man this show has gone downhill since the opener. That Wyatt booking is astounding.
  15. I'm going to see Mick Foley on Thursday....super excited. and The Predator was Horace Boulder/Hogan
  16. I know it isn't the case on this board, but I really think Barry Windham is underrated by a lot of people these days, mostly because they only remember post 1993 Barry. Between the unmotivated Barry of 93, and the shitty WWF gimmicks, to the Rap is Crap stuff, I don't think people realize just how fantastic he really was. Another guy who I don't think gets his due (again, not here but elsewhere) is Arn Anderson. Newer fans see him as the second banana to Flair, and remember the Kevin Nash impersonation more than the performer. I easily put Arn in my personal all time Top 5, and given the choice between watching his complete work, or Flair's...I choose Double A every time. As for overrated.....I have to agree with Bret Hart. He was a fine all around worker, but for a guy who complains that all of Flair's matches were the same, man is he the pot calling the kettle black.
  17. In the random names you haven't thought about in a while department.....I ran into Sam Houston tonight!! His and Baby Doll's daughter was working the show, and he made the trip up with her. Pretty cool.
  18. If Rousey ever decides to leave MMA for wrestling, I have to think WWE would snatch her up as fast as they possibly could.
  19. GMC is definitely my favorite overall, but Finkel announcing Steamboat as the IC champ at Mania 3 is my favorite ring announcer moment ever.

LMAO.....You win the internet for today
  21. Is anyone else starting to get the feeling that Dean Ambrose is going to end up the next guy in the Daniel Bryan spot? By which I mean he continues to get hugely over, but the company ignores it in favor of sticking with the status quo, possibly even to the point where the fans eventually turn on Reigns because they insist on pushing him over Ambrose. Maybe I am wrong, but that pop tonight was huge.
  22. JBL also made a Bronco Lubich reference!
  23. I think people on this board will appreciate this, so I am going to go ahead and share it. I ring announced a show tonight with Bobby Fulton of The Fantastics on it. Bobby is a heck of a nice guy, and was wrestling as himself in the main event. So we are backstage getting things set up for the show, and Bobby decides he wants to wrestle twice. Then out of nowhere he pulls a mask, turban, and Syrian flag out of his gear bag and decides to work the second match of the night as a masked heel known as "The Sheik of Syria." Then he pulls out a second mask and turban, and dresses his kid (who was probably eleven or twelve) in that costume and wants him to be billed as "His adviser, The Prince of Syria" So he comes to the ring in this get up, and the crowd starts chanting USA, at which he point he forces me to get on the microphone and tell the crowd that if they don't stop chanting USA, he will raise the price of Gas to 7 bucks a gallon for regular. He then laid out a prayer mat and began praising Allah, before wrestling a ten minute match that was mostly him choking, or playing hide the foreign object with the referee, before finishing it with a Camel Clutch, as his son stood outside the ring in a mask and waved the Syrian flag. Unreal! and for anyone wondering, here is Bobby these days....
