I brought this up in the Warrior thread, but think a more detailed discussion would be appropriate here. Daniel Bryan's ascencion as their new made man tells me that WWE's audience is finally tired of guys who depend on their physique, if they haven't been already for some time. The question I have, is this something that the higher-ups are beginning to notice as well, considering how less toned HHH looked as he said he trained more for speed and stamina than strength.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 3

So Nancy Grace just inferred that Owen Hart died of drug abuse on her show tonight. Can his widow sue for libel? -
I'm 30 as well, and when I was a kid me and my brother watched and were engaged with those old tapes as much, if not more than we were the current product. It played a big part of me becoming a loyal WCW guy during the MNW, getting a 2nd chance to experience Hogan and all those guys live. I think as history plays out, WWE in the late 80's-early 90's will be remembered as fondly as the Rock-n-Wrestling period that came before.

Could Bryan be booked like Bob Backlund?

Oh but they should! In 16 years. -
Just finished watching it. Very well done, especially for the obvious minute amount of post-production time they had. Hope to see more stuff like this. Intimate, personal stuff and less scripted. WrestleMania VI will be on the live feed tonight for fairly obvious reasons.

The Undertaker: Now what?

I was going to say something along those lines too. It could be affecting him personally too, since his program with the Warrior was the first real one in the company and what shot him up from being a mid-card villain to an attraction. -
The best thing WWE could do to honor Warrior's death is to make his wish of including a wing like the one he suggested in his speech.

Beyond shock I'm not quite sure how to feel. I grew up a fan, despised him later for his ultra-right wing bullshit, and things I'd read about him in books about how disrespectful he was to people around him when he was on top. A lot of this was rolling through my mind when I watched his speech, and I tweeted a few things expressing that. By no means do I gain any happiness from his death, but I'm not going to fall into avoiding all the negative stuff when I think about him now.

Yeah, I was surprised not to see it on the Yearbook. Nick and Verne refusing to shake Gene's hand was cool too. -
WrestleMania 30 (Yes! yes! yes! Yes!)

Paul looked a lot better than I thought he would by now. I heard he'd been having health problems but I read a little interview with him this weekend where he said he was fine, weighing 195 lbs now. -
Was it really a face promo though?

They did it for Andre the first year, so why not. -

I said it over in the WM thread. -
I wonder how WWE is going to take advantage of the news that HBO Go went tits-up after the Game of Thrones premiere crashed it.
