  1. Really liked Hase here as he worked good with Norton taking his offense and did good with Armstrong. Norton's offense looks stiff as hell, especially the clotheslines.
  2. I'd say this match was better than the Honaga match. Liger takes another beating but sneaks out another win. Loved Liger's moonsalt to the outside.
  3. Sting body slamming Vader about 5 minutes into the match to no reaction kinda hurts the match. I mean I know Vader always took that from guys but it's still annoying. Otherwise fun match.
  4. I think they aired that on Superstars or something cause I remember seeing it. Good blow off match.
  5. Even though you could see it a mile away, Sid's turn on Hogan never gets old. And yeah Hogan was a asshole babyface just like Rock was and Orton is.
  6. Really? I thought 95 had way too much Cornette and lots of bad gimmicks like Sgt. Rock and the Wolfman. It's like Jim was involved in every match and the commentary was really bad. I did like the stuff with the RNR and Thugs vs PG13 though.
  7. Lucha Nominatons: Dr. Wagner Jr. vs Nishimura 5/14 Mascara Magica and Shocker vs Takemura and Masada hair vs Hair 5/31 Santo and Negro Casas vs Rey Bucanero and Ultimo Guerrero 5/31 Those are the only 3 CMLL matches I can remember from that time. I think Zumbido vs Ricky Marvin from October was also good. Lots of Los Capos vs the Puerto Ricans in 02 and don't know how you guys feel about that. For AAA, You have the first LLL tv taping with some good skits in the old west like May Flowers destroying Billy Boy's skateboard or Albrieje kicking Chuky into a tree. Triplemania from that year is declared one of the worst but I remember enjoying the 4 way mask match with Octagon, Pentagon, Mascara Maglina and Sagrada. Also had a 4 way hair match at VDE with Dandy vs Perro Jr. vs Metal vs I think Electroshock. And 2 good Hector Garza vs Latin Lover title matches. Then there's the Black Family vs Barrio boys feud. Anything with those guys is nomination worthy. And Mr. Aguila's return.
  8. One of my favorite feuds in USWA at the time. White Boy was a much better face than heel I thought. The stripping angle got a lot of heat on the promotion I remember. Meltzer really didn't like it.
  9. Honga kinda looks like a skinner version of the Saito brothers. This is worked way differently than usual Liger matches I've seen. I don't like it as much as Loss but it's interesting to see Liger take most of the punishment yet sneak in a win at the end.
  10. Man Jim Ross's commentary is just annoying so far in 92. Especially when he's by himself. As for the match. Good draw with Steamboat looking great and Austin stepping up big. Loved the Steamboat/Madusa teased spot at the end.
  11. I didn't like this as much as Loss. Hase was pretty good and the ending stretch was nice but the beginning and middle was just boring and heatless.
  12. Yeah this was a great mat match. Dos is just amazing at the submissions he can do and Canek was his usual self. It was kinda hard to figure out who was the rudo in this since Canek change more times than Lawler and Dundee did in his career.
  13. Whoa what? Austin Idol sucks? I gotta disagree. This was a great interview by him and it's a shame he no showed the next week. Hell even in 98 in Power pro, he was a great interview. Who was the Flaming Star? It looked too small to be Don Bass.
  14. Man that Dennis interview was incredibly racist. But I always get a laugh out of him mentioning Lawler's illegitimate kids: Kevin and Brian.
  15. I don't even think Reed could make the Warrior feud work. I liked Shango's feud vs Lawler though.
  16. It's a wonder Frazier is even still walking. Between being beaten up by the Moondogs weekly to being Eric Embry's personal whipping boy in 91 and getting piledrived from the top rope.
  17. I've never seen the whole thing but this seemed like a legit news conference. You had reporters and people everywhere with Gene looking like he was ready to whoop ass. Sid Ruled here.
  18. I think Bobby and Gorilla did a good job putting Taker over here. I agree that this shows how good Bret is.
  19. This had some Larry Z style stalling in the beginning. Good match but I like the AAA matches they had better. Shame we will never see a mask vs mask between the two. The finish looked like it was a DQ.
  20. As good as Jumbo's selling was, Hansen selling the arm that Jumbo was attacking wasn't bad either. Great match. Was that Scott Armstrong in the back celebrating with Stan? Had no idea he worked All Japan?
  21. I just hate the first 2 quick falls thing in Lucha singles matches. Just makes it meaningless to me. Luckily for this match, they only did it for the second.
  22. The kick that Jumbo gives Kikuchi about 10 minutes in is just brutal looking. Good match but I wouldn't call it great or anything.
  23. I kinda like how the fakeout spot wasn't the finish. Kinda crazy that two years later, these two would be teammates.
  24. Embry is one of my favorite characters ever. He's like Dr. D turned up to 1000. I think this is one of CJ's final appearances before she left due to Sexual Harassment.
  25. Another crazy brawl with the Moondogs. This feud pretty much saved the promotion and you can see why.
